Baby Berries Due Jan/Feb/March 2025

I AM SEETHING.

[name_f]My[/name_f] MIL told someone when we asked her not to.

@cms1512 That. Is. Crap!! Iā€™m so sorry that she did not respect your request. Thatā€™s so infuriating. :unamused: Congratulations on your little boy!

@cms1512 Iā€™m sorry!! That takes the fun out of you guys announcing it on your own when you are ready! [name_f]My[/name_f] family did that to me too :rage: like once you tell one person it spreads like wildfire in the wind :unamused:

Thankfully, it didnā€™t spread too far. As a repercussion, we did kick them from the gender reveal because I donā€™t play with boundaries like that and sheā€™s gonna learn that before baby is born (even though she ought to have known that about me already).

Now they get to find out when we decide to send them the video. And itā€™s their first grandchild. Maybe learn to keep your mouth shut.

But you play with fire, you get fire :woman_shrugging:

@cms1512 It sounds like she really upset you! Although iā€™m sure her intentions werenā€™t malignant. She was probably just excited! I donā€™t know the situation of course, but for me, I just decided to let it go and in the future not tell them things until Iā€™m ready for everyone to know. No more ā€œfirst to knowā€ special treatment. She will probably be devastated by not being allowed at the gender revealā€¦ I would personally not do that as it is her first grand baby and you donā€™t need drama and stress at this special time! I hope everything cools down for you and your family!

Iā€™ll deal with my own MIL, thanks.

You donā€™t know her and you canā€™t always believe the best in peopleā€™s intentions.

[name_m]Hi[/name_m], I just saw your post and wanted to leave this article here for you in case it helps you at all. I havenā€™t experienced Hyperemesis Gravidarum myself so Iā€™m not sure if anything listed here would help but there are some people in the comments section who seem to have experienced extreme nausea, etc. Tummy/Digestive bitters are something I tried for one of my pregnancies also but I canā€™t remember if it worked well (I think I used most of the bottle though so Iā€™d guess it did).

Best wishes!

Thank you I appreciate it! I am willing to try any and everything that can get me off the medication I am on for it. The meds make me severely constipated like seveeeereeely lol but at least I can get nutrients and water down now. It was so bad as soon as I put anything in my mouth I would vomit, including water. Had to receive emergency care. Lost tons of weight. Itā€™s pretty traumatizing and would not wish it upon anyone! Iā€™m 9 weeks 3 days so Iā€™m hoping in the next month as I go into the 2nd trimester the nausea will subside! I had bad sickness with my boy but could manage it naturally. That is why I think this baby might be a girl - or thereā€™s a hidden twin in there somewhere lol :joy:

Haha, maybe it is a girl! They say every pregnancy is different (twins usually do give you stronger symptoms as far as Iā€™ve heard though!)

Iā€™d be interested in finding out! Are you keeping it a surprise until the birth or getting a sneakpeek and/or ultrasound?

We will probably do a gender reveal pumpkin smash in [name_f]October[/name_f] after our anatomy scan  I know the Dr only saw one baby but I swear thereā€™s no way one baby could do all this :joy: No matter what theyā€™re a blessing though and we are so excited to give our son a sibling to grow up with  buuuttt this is probably last time iā€™ll wanna go through this lol. What about you?

I always go back and forth between hoping itā€™s my last and wanting another one right away :joy: I get severe pelvic girdle pain every time (last time I was using a walker during the last month or so and Iā€™m only 31!)

Iā€™m not currently expecting though, I was just scanning some threads and saw your post so I thought Iā€™d look up some info that may help you!

I got pelvic girdle pain pretty bad too with my last, pregnancy is no walk in the park! Yet somehow itā€™s like your body forgets how hard it was and painful when you get baby fever again :joy:

So true! Sometimes even the day after (I think it was that quick that I wanted another one after my first successful delivery!)

Walking is a struggle for me with the pelvic girdle pain and I only realized what it was (put a name to it) at the end of this pregnancy (my 7th)!

No one ever knew what I was talking about (no doctor or midwife I spoke to) and then I found it out online after (again) looking into my symptoms.

I went the entire duration of this last pregnancy (baby boy came [name_f]April[/name_f] 24) doing so much better in relation to the pelvic girdle pain (it was almost nonexistent because I was sleeping on a board since mine is related to long-term back issues). One day I ā€œran with my heart instead of my bodyā€ as my mom puts it lol my boys wanted me to chase them and I rarely got enough daily regular exercise as it was so I pushed myself way too hard all of a sudden with a giant belly. So be aware of that possibility haha!

Also, if you end up needing it, going to a chiropractor a couple times and then doing the exercises in the link below (seriously wouldnā€™t leave out the exercises!!!) really helped (besides the slow and painful waiting game!)

This is what has really helped me in situations that would usually make my blood boil. I was very hotheaded and quick to become angry in the past (I was a very uptight perfectionist and very controlling too, which is something I still battle at times). [name_f]My[/name_f] relationship with my MIL was terrible and I was always furious or depressed or distraught or in heavy tears over things sheā€™d say/do. Not to push my beliefs onto anyone (just to share my experiences), I have felt so much more peace and comfort in handling/dealing with these things since I started trusting in [name_m]Christ[/name_m] to lead me. I look to the words he said as a guiding light because they truly have helped me and I have felt and seen the results. I am calmer, more patient, less anxious, less afraid (I was always a very terrified, shy person.) I really took it to heart that ā€œthe discretion of a man makes him slow to anger, and his glory is to overlook a transgression.ā€

When I listen to what [name_m]Jesus[/name_m] taught his followers (to do good to all even if their intentions were malignant, malicious, deceitful, spiteful, etc.) I am at peace inside no matter what turmoil is afflicting me. I know that Iā€™m not perfect myself and have been my own kind of trainwreck so I try to act in faith that my creator is good and just and desires good for all, but is also holy and requires justice. When my mind and heart are turned from self-preservation and self-defense to being actively bent on pursuing/desiring good for others (even my enemies) I feel like a harmless child in the hands of a loving father (which I never had as a child.)

I just wanted to encourage that point you made because I personally benefit so much from letting things go and trusting Iā€™ll be taken care of by someone (my creator) who loves me more than anyone else loves me. In the past I wouldā€™ve fought back tooth and nail, but Iā€™d always feel like the winner at a losing game.

Anywho, best wishes to everyone in the thread!

Just had my first OBGYN appointment (finally) and Iā€™m somehow measuring an entire WEEK ahead of where I thought I was despite knowing my ovulation date. So my due date is actually 1/30/25. That was interesting as he was measuring right on at 7 weeks but in the ultrasounds since has been a few days ahead so maybe heā€™s just growing fast! (Hopefully he wonā€™t be huge at deliveryā€¦)

Havenā€™t heard from you in a bit @Futuremom1 Is everything going well on your end?

Thankful for a healthy baby!

The first appointment is always the most exciting! Congrats!!:confetti_ball:

12 weeks today finally and I already have a bump which is crazy to me - I didnā€™t start to see a bump nearly this early with my first! I think after my appointment on Monday iā€™ll be able to breathe a sigh of relief!!:face_holding_back_tears: We made it! :rainbow::heart:

On another note my nausea has subsided enough to get off the medications iā€™ve been taking!! Iā€™ve been struggling with low bp and dizziness and persistent heartburn now. I doubt iā€™ll feel perfect again for a long time though lol, but regardless iā€™m feeling so grateful today :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Heard babies heartbeat on the doppler today! 150bpm. The old wives tales say bpm over 140 means itā€™s a girl. That coupled with my HG (severe morning sickness) makes me feel like maybe baby is a girl this time! But who knows :woman_shrugging:t2: did wives tales ever turn out to be true for any of you?

On another note my platelets were too high last time they took my blood when I was severely malnourished and dehydrated from the HG and she said I have to go to a specialist if theyā€™re still high this time around, as it can be very dangerous. Blood platelets back to normal!!! So grateful for medications that saved me and my babies life. HG brought on more complications in the 2 weeks I didnā€™t have medication than the preeclampsia did my last pregnancy. So crazy itā€™s so under studied.

Sorry, I know Iā€™m not even in this group, but I was in the 2024 version of this haha. Itā€™s fun to read the updates and chime in every so often haha.

[name_f]My[/name_f] husband created a spreadsheet of like 30 old wives tales back when we had our first, and we tested each of of them for fun haha! With both children, we had more ā€œgirlā€ results than ā€œboyā€ results overall, which we did hava girl the first time, but we had a boy with #2! The funny thing is that even with all of those tests, only two of them happened to be right both timesā€¦ headache frequency and husband weight gain  youā€™d think even with chance,.there would be more than just two that happened to be right each time!

If anyone wants a copy of it, just message me on here and Iā€™ll send the Google Sheets link to the copy we created! Itā€™s a fun thing to do as a little at-home date night or something haha. Some are just describing symptoms, but others are more involved (like boiling red cabbage and adding that water to some of your urine )
