I’m pregnant! I only found out a couple of weeks ago and have absolutely no idea how far along I am. Probably around 6 or 7 weeks by now. I’ve got my first antenatal appointment coming up next week. I’m both super nervous and super excited! It’s my first pregnancy.
I don’t know my due date yet but based on maths, it looks to be between late [name_u]January[/name_u] and sometime in [name_u]February[/name_u] 2022.
Congratulations on your exciting news! Good luck for your antenatal appointment next week and I hope the rest of the first trimester is smooth sailing for you.
[name_m]Just[/name_m] popping in to say ooh goody, @aielbereth… little makes me happier than seeing longtime berries (come back to) name their kiddos!! Can’t wait to see what you pick and wish you a very happy, healthy pregnancy!
Thank you! That’s so sweet to see. [name_m]Even[/name_m] though I haven’t posted in ages, I’m still a constant lurker I’ve got all my fingers and toes crossed for a girl – tons of girl names. Struggling with the boys. So I have no doubt I’ll be calling out for help at some point.
I’m 9.5 weeks according to LMP but not confirmed by scan yet. You can’t be too far behind? [name_f]Hope[/name_f] your appointment goes/has gone well! How are you feeling?
According to my midwife, I’m probably at 8.5 weeks. But also not confirmed by scan yet. I couldn’t remember my LMP because it’s been a little sporadic since I stopped using the pill. I’m very eagerly awaiting the scan now.
[name_m]Just[/name_m] got my BFP last week!
This will be our second baby, and with roughly the same due date as my first too (May is clearly our month) Excited to join you all in this thread.
Nice to be getting a bit of a group together over here
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] everyone is feeling ok!
I am 10.5 weeks and already back in my maternity clothes 🤦 I was so big by the end of my first pregnancy (and I’ve gone into this one a bit heavier than I’d have liked, thanks pandemic weight) that I think my body this time has just gone “streeeetch” straight away, I really already have a noticeable bump. Thanks to covid I’m working from home and not socialising too much right now, so I still haven’t told anyone and been able to hide it, but don’t think that will last much longer.
Has anyone been thinking about cute announcements to family/friends?
I told everyone in my support circle with a simple picture of my digital test (to recap, I don’t have a partner so my close family and friends are very involved in my baby-making journey ). I plan to tell “the world” on social media after I find out the sex. I’m going to a music festival when I’m 20 weeks so I want to take “announcement pictures” while I’m there.
My favorite band will be there (their only concert of 2021!!!) and I’m hoping to meet them with my baby bump. A picture with just one member would mean the world to me!!
I’ve been thinking about the social media announcement since before TTC. I have so much I want to say but also don’t want to overshare. I’m hoping to find the right words within the next 12-ish weeks I have an ongoing draft email where I type whatever I think I might want to say when inspiration strikes!
[name_m]Hi[/name_m], I’m due 28th [name_u]Jan[/name_u] can’t believe it! This is our second baby DD [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is 6 and we’ve been trying for 5 years. We did a couple of rounds of IVF then I got pregnant the month after our last failed cycle! Looking for some sibling name inspiration
I feel like I’m gonna be the same, as I only gave birth last year, so already still had a little baby pouch left over!. Gonna have to put away my jeans sooner than later I think.
I haven’t thought too much about it yet, but I love telling people in person (which granted is hard now with Covid) but honestly I’d rather wait as seeing reactions is the best thing ever!
Congratulations @AmeliaMc that’s amazing, what a little miracle. [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is a beautiful name , so classy, I bet you can find a gorgeous sibling name.
@Elle1 love the music festival plan, I hope you get to meet the band!
@georgiegeorgie glad it’s not just me with the jeans I found it a bit overwhelming telling people with my first but I’m impatient to share this time, probably because we haven’t seen a lot of people for a long time!
This week I saw my baby at my first ultrasound!! It was amazing! So hard to believe it was really mine [name_f]My[/name_f] health system lifted the no visitor policy a few weeks ago so my mom was able to come with me. She was sooo cute, bragging to my own doctor and the medical student about my donor-conceived baby and how hard I worked to get here And today my dad asked about baby names. He didn’t seem thrilled with my choices but at least he seemed open to learning them
[name_f]My[/name_f] morning nausea seems to have evened out. I take 1-3 B6 per day and I eat plain cheerios in bed before I even get up. This seems to be the magic combo for my body
