Hi Berries! Starting this group to share the good vibes. I hope others will join me soon!
Iām 10 weeks today, with an EDD of [name_f]July[/name_f] 19th
Hi!! Due [name_f]July[/name_f] 3 with a baby girl! Our second baby.
@namergirl3[name_f][/name_f] Woohoo! Storming towards that 12 week milestone! [name_f][/name_f] [name_f]Amazing[/name_f]!
Iām so happy for you two @namergirl3[name_f][/name_f] @ladybyrd[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]@namergirl3[name_f][/name_f] [name_m]Will[/name_m] you find out if it is a boy/girl this week?
[name_f][/name_f]@ladybyrd[name_f][/name_f] Exciting about your little girl. Is your son excited or does he not know yet?
I had my first ultrasound a few days ago. Measured 6wk 5 days so around Iām around 7 weeks today. We had a healthy heartbeat and I know MC risk decreases once that is seen, so I am cautiously optimistic.
He is beyond excited! He has been saying baby sister all along. He got upset last night because he wants baby sister in his room with him from the start (at some point theyāll share a room for a few years. Weāre in a 2-bdrm house with an incredibly low interest rate and love our neighborhood. So weāre going to make it work as long as possible ha) and we told him she would sleep in our room at the beginning. He says heās the one who can take care of her best when she cries. [name_f][/name_f] So excited to see him be a big brother. Heās got a big heart.
[name_f][/name_f]And that is so exciting about your positive US!!! Have you seen that MC calculator website? That made me feel very reassured when I was feeling anxious.
@_thelittlefairywren[name_f][/name_f] yes!! Itās going fast and slow at the same time lol.
[name_f][/name_f]@turnip[name_f][/name_f] unfortunately no! Iām going to a new OB and they wonāt see me until around 12 weeks. So [name_m]January[/name_m] 2nd, Iāll be going in for my appt and ultrasound. I opted for the NIPT, so I assume theyāll do it then too. Crazy to think that we could know what weāre having in around a couple of weeks!! I have absolutely no inkling on what I think it is. I felt like my son was a boy and was right but this timeā¦nothing!
[name_f][/name_f]āāā-
[name_f][/name_f]I canāt say I have a preference but we are like 99% decided on a girl name and canāt come up with a solid boy name! Itās harder this time around!
I logged in today specifically to look for an update from you or to message checking in [name_f][/name_f] So happy to see you are still going strong!
[name_f][/name_f]Congratulations to all the expectant mamas!!!
Congratulations to everyone! This is so exciting.
[name_f][/name_f]I have a 18 month old son who was conceived with IVF, and we had planned a frozen embryo transfer for [name_f]December[/name_f] 2024, but life had other plans and we got a complete surprise BFP at the end of [name_f]October[/name_f]! Iām due the 15th of [name_f]July[/name_f].
[name_f][/name_f]I just found the heartbeat yesterday with the at home fetal Doppler, itās given me so much peace of mind since I had been trying for days without success. In a few days I have the 12 weeks US.
@AlSP[name_f][/name_f] Congratulations! [name_f][/name_f] How wonderful that you didnāt need to go through IVF again! I hope your 12 week scan goes well!
Thanks I will keep you informed
Cautious hello, mama berries <3
[name_f][/name_f]I should be due mid [name_m]August[/name_m]. [name_f]My[/name_f] first scan is [name_m]Friday[/name_m] so hopefully all goes well and I can swap back into actual baby naming mode from nameberry dreaming mode
Congratulations! I have a scan on [name_m]Friday[/name_m] too so hoping both of our appointments go alright
Congratulations, @AlSP[name_f][/name_f] and @katoolah!! [name_f][/name_f] I hope your scans/appointments go well!
[name_f][/name_f]āā
[name_f][/name_f]I unfortunately spent the majority of [name_f]December[/name_f] sick with some bug (plus morning sickness) but Iām feeling better now!
I had my first office visit and ultrasound yesterday! [name_f]Baby[/name_f] is such a little wiggle worm and is measuring right on track for my due date. Everything looks fine, healthy heartbeat and all of that, thank goodness! I got my labs and NIPT test all done, too.
[name_f][/name_f]We told DS he is going to be a big brother and heās super excited [name_f][/name_f] he keeps asking tons of questions about āour babyā and it brings my heart so much light. It makes me feel better about the 5.5year age gap!
[name_f][/name_f]We also ended up announcing to everyone else. It feels so much more real now.
Thank you! Everything went well for us today [name_f][/name_f]- little blob measuring right on dates so growing well and lovely fast heartbeat <3 Iām in Australia so itās already [name_m]Friday[/name_m] for me
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Hope[/name_f] AISP has a similarly positive experience!
@namergirl3[name_f][/name_f] @katoolah[name_f][/name_f] congratulations!! Namegirl 5.5 years sounds like a really sweet age gap, your kid will be so excited and will remember forever when his sibling was born
[name_f][/name_f]I had my appointment a couple of hours ago and it went great!! All the measurements are ok and the risk for chromosomal abnormalities is low, and itās not definite at all as Iām only 12w2d along but it looks like a girl! I hope it is as I think Iād have a bit of gender disappointment otherwise, I love my boy and I love being a boy mum but have always imagined having a girl too. I want to do the nipt but I didnt get a referral from the obgyn as she thinks it isnāt necessary in my case, so I donāt know what to do, I might book a private appointment to get the referral as in my city you canāt do the nipt without one.
@AlSP[name_f][/name_f] so exciting about the doppler! I tried a few days ago but couldnāt pick up anything. I guess I have to wait a while.
[name_f][/name_f]@ladybyrd[name_f][/name_f] Aw, that is fab. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] he gets his wish! I am sure the 2-bedroom will work out. We also live in a small 2-bed apartment, but it is in a great neighbourhood and really affordable. We hope to move soon but if moving doesnāt work out, weāll also make do. [name_f]My[/name_f] son is still too young to comprehend or at least communicate his thoughts, but he is aware of ābabiesā and points them out. I do use the MC calculatorā¦ it is at <4% right now, which seems crazy to me. I have started knitting baby #2ās baby blanket because I am feeling so optimistic.
[name_f][/name_f]@katoolah[name_f][/name_f] how was your scan? I put you in as āmid Augustā but hope to hear an update soon! I am also in Australia
@turnip[name_f][/name_f] oh yay, itās nice to find other Australians in the forums [name_f][/name_f] [name_f]My[/name_f] scan was good [name_f][/name_f]- always reassuring to see the heartbeat and that growth is on track. We kept my due date as [name_m]August[/name_m] 17th. Iām back seeing my previous obstetrician for this early part of the pregnancy but Iāve moved cities so Iām going to deliver at my local public hospital this time as the travel all the way to āthe big smokeā is just a little too long. The worst part will be missing out on the hotel stay that my private health insurance paid for post-partum last time! The food was SO much better than even the private hospital
@katoolah[name_f][/name_f] I am in the same boat! I had private last time and the private hospital had single rooms, great food, and spouses could stay the night. Plus the care was fabulous. Now I have to go public and I am a bit worried [name_f][/name_f] I hear good things from people who went public, but I know I will likely have a shared roomā¦
@turnip[name_f][/name_f] I do miss the certainty of knowing what to expect from the hospital if I was back at the private, but Iām sure public will be perfectly adequate. I imagine I might feel quite differently this time, hopefully not so completely overwhelmed by the baby care aspects and the constant feeding, so maybe a shared room wonāt be as bad as it wouldāve been for baby 1? I am also keeping in mind that if everything goes well I can always discharge early and recover at home instead. Would that be an option for you if the public isnāt what you hoped?
