Baby Berries due October - December 2022

Don’t be that envious, he spent 3 weeks in nicu! Hoping this one stays put til term at least. I’ll take an early [name_u]October[/name_u] baby. But desperate for no neonatal stay this time round. I have yet to fully experience the third trimester so hoping to this time!

Some days my stomach is hard but some days it’s just normal, I can’t wear jeans much anymore unless they’re super stretchy so I’m living in leggings and tracksuit bottoms. I am dreading summer because I don’t do dresses or skirts etc so have no idea what I’m gonna wear! Stressed about it already

@eireann Oh i’m so sorry, I definitely didn’t think when I wrote that! I can’t imagine how hard it must be with a nicu baby.

I’m definitely going to have to invest in some new clothes as I’ve never been showing during Summertime (my first was a [name_f]Spring[/name_f] baby). We’re planning a holiday as well at the end of the second trimester, and the thought of maternity swimwear is making me sweat already!

Eeep, maternity swimwear! I’m going on vacation in less than two months, and I will need something, too. Siiigh.

So happy everyone’s getting those good scans:heart::heart::heart:

I just got back my CVS results and everything was perfect, which is totally shocking given that I’m 2 weeks away from being 43. I guess this is happening!

I made up a PowerPoint of my name list to show to my husband and kids, and I’m going to have them rank all the names. This will definitely be a non-binding vote, but I’m excited for some fun name discussions. I’m so curious what my kids will like!

I’m also hoping to include them in nursery decorating and want to get some of that wallpaper you can draw on so they can cover one wall with their artwork. And I want to make some kind of paper sculpture that looks like a tree that we can hang stuff on - family pictures, mementos. I have a mental image, even though I’m not totally sure how I’m going to execute. LOL

How’s everyone else’s planning - gear, clothes, etc? I’m trying not to get too ahead, but it’s good to have something to think about!

Random ? but this is my first pregnancy:

When did you buy maternity jeans?

I’m 7 weeks and none of mine currently fit (not even comfortable with a rubber band lol) and I’ve been thinking I’d try to find a pair of affordable jeans with some stretch to get me through the first trimester, but wondering if I should bite the bullet and get maternity ones.

FWIW where I live is still pretty chilly through [name_f]May[/name_f], though that’s when it actually starts consistently warming up. Once it’s warm, I can throw in more dresses to the mix but I still want a pair of jeans to grab when we go out or I pop into the office.

Thoughts?

I no longer wear “hard pants”, so never? :joy:
But I say embrace the maternity wear! I’ve been in maternity leggings for at least a month and they’re sooo comfy!

Oh no don’t think I was offended! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I am going away on a staycation end of [name_u]August[/name_u] when I’ll be 30+ weeks and no idea what I’m gonna wear then either. It’ll probably be 20+ degrees but it’s only a caravan holiday so who knows! I have summery outfits but they’re all pre-pregnancy, although I do wear a lot of baggy and flowy tops so I can work with those.

I am 12 weeks today (going off LMP) but won’t buy anything until my scan on [name_m]Friday[/name_m]. I’ll grab sale items and secondhand goodies from then. I made the mistake of everything brand new with my first and won’t make that error again - lots were never worn or brand new baby items barely got any usage!

I hesitate to ask but… is anyone into the “nub theory”? [name_f]My[/name_f] 3yo is absolutely dead set that it’s a girl - we’ll find out at 20 weeks hopefully anyway, but wondered if anyone fancied having a guess from my 12 week scan?:grin:

Oh yes I’ve read all about this! I’ll take a look! We’re not finding out but curious as to what others think of my scan based on the nub as well, but honestly I’m not even sure you can it clearly.

Yes, me! I love this theory. [name_f]My[/name_f] scan is tomorrow and I’m hoping to see a clear nub.

Alright, here’s my scan, done at 12 weeks and 2 days  I’m honestly not even sure I can see a “nub”, but then I don’t really know what I’m looking for! Interested to hear your guesses!:sparkling_heart::blue_heart:

I hope you don’t mind me popping in but I loved guessing mine too! I got 3/4 right but that could just have been luck

Anyway, I’m going to say… GIRL!

The nub is that lighter straight line that starts roughly at the bottom of your baby’s tummy. This is quite a clear shot! Yours looks quite thin and roughly parallel to the spine to me, hence my guess.

Big congratulations everyone!

Amazing scan photo!
I’m going to say girl but just off feeling as I honestly can’t really work out the nub in yours i’m sorry! Are you finding out?

No guesses as I’m a complete novice at this, but what a beautiful scan photo @georgiegeorgie!

I’m going to say girl again for you! I’m really no expert though. What a lovely clear scan pic – that cute little button nose

It’s fun just guessing though, so thank you!
[name_f]My[/name_f] son has the same button nose, so i’m already wondering if they’re going to look alike

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone, I’m going to - very cautiously - join this thread. I had the feeling I could be pregnant because I was experiencing some very early symptoms, took one of those early detection tests, and got a BFP. Went to the doctor for a blood test to confirm, and got the positive result yesterday evening. So here I am. Estimated due date is somewhere around [name_u]December[/name_u] 27.

For those of you who don’t know me yet: this will be my fifth child, and my husband’s fourth. [name_f]My[/name_f] oldest son will be 7 next month. With my husband I have three sons, B. is 2,5 and our twin boys are 16 months old.

[name_m]Can[/name_m] you even see a nub? That’s given me some excitement this morning, even if it is all guesswork haha.

[name_u]Welcome[/name_u] @Rosebeth ! Congratulations. What a brood you have!

Congrats! So exciting! [name_f]Do[/name_f] you have any other winter babies? Hoping for all the best for you in these early days💖

No, not technically. Our twins were born on December 7, but their due date was at the end of January, they were born almost 8 weeks early. I don’t enjoy being heavily pregnant in the summer, so a winter baby is quite nice. I’m a bit torn about baby’s due date being around the Christmas holidays. I love Christmas, and as Catholics having a Christmas baby would be very meaningful, but I’m afraid our child won’t enjoy their birthday being “overshadowed” by the holidays once they’re a bit older. We’re not big on birthdays anyway though, so… We’ll see. If it’s anything like my other pregnancies, baby could just as well be born in November. I’ve never made it to my actually due date with any of them  Our B. was also born almost 5 weeks early.
