Baby Berries Due October / November / December 2026

That made me tear up. Thank you.

[name_m]True[/name_m]! [name_f]Every[/name_f] day is a day I didn’t have before!

To me too. Ahhh. Pregnancy hormones! I’m so excited to get to do this again.

We seem like a small group this time. It sounds like some are first time moms. I love the way we’re thrown together at random just being due at the same time. I can’t wait to see what this baby looks like. My kids all look so different

@kapaza It’s so interesting to think about how that works - the randomness. I started a new prenatal yoga class and it brought up a lot about my last experience and the friends I made who I really only made because we were in that class together for most of our pregnancies and wanted to make “mom friends.” We text often and our kids are 2 or almost 2! It was also interesting to see people who are about where I was two years ago as first time parents getting close to their EDD.

@river_dweller I’m so glad you are getting past the worst of it. Being on top of hydration also helps with blood pressure. Levothyroxine is thankfully very good at getting thyroid levels on track. I get my blood drawn next week so confirm that my current amount is still the right one now that I am in the second trimester. Hopefully whatever you are taking at night also helps.

I am fully into obsessing about boy names. My favorites and my husband’s favorites don’t align right now, and I am still kind of sad about giving up the girls names I will never use so I think I’m really trying to get excited about some boys names. [name_f]Cassia[/name_f] [name_m]River[/name_m] and [name_f]Juniper[/name_f] [name_f]Linnea[/name_f] will have to be pets someday or something haha.

For what it’s worth, [name_m]Cassian[/name_m] [name_m]River[/name_m] would be handsome.

Thank you! There is a [name_m]Cassian[/name_m] in my daughter’s class, which makes me less inclined to use it, but I do like [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] [name_m]River[/name_m] if I can get past it sounding quite a bit like it could be an actual name of a river. I’m ok to lose the plant connection I like with [name_f]Cassia[/name_f] in a name that is already so nature-y.

THIS!!! What a strong, warm, grounded sounding name! :growing_heart:

Thank you. It’s so unbelievable. I let it all go… passed on all the baby things… and my husband (who 100% didn’t want to have anymore children) changed his mind. My thoughts… all my words seem to have collapsed in a pile beside me. I am so happy. And as my kids say it, “Mommy’s eyes are leaking again.”

How are you all doing? I’m still utterly in denial. Scared to get to settled in the idea of getting to have another little one in my arms this [name_m]Christmas[/name_m] (or thereabouts). I have desperately been trying not to think about baby names until I know the gender for I do not want there to be a name I won’t use. Still, a few names keep creeping into my mind before I can stop them. I will not fall in love with a name until I am more settled!

Have you all shared your news with all the important people yet? My mom is a worrier (for good reason; each baby has resulted in major surgery for me), so I’m hoping to keep the news quiet for as long as I can. She’s coming for a visit around the 16 week mark. Though I’m of a slim build, I have a mommy belly, so I’m hoping up play it off. We’ll see how things look closer on.

I’m excited for you all! Do you have any name thoughts yet? Are there any children already in your families? This is #7 for us… SO EXCITED!!

I am terrible at keeping things in my own life from people, so I have told my immediate family and I believe my mother told her sister (which means my uncle and cousins on that side likely know). My rule for myself is that I don’t tell people I would feel too uncomfortable to disclose a loss to. My boss also knows and I informed her much earlier than planned due to a really particular situation I wanted guidance on that involved thinking ahead for timing and explaining why I might not be around in [name_m]October[/name_m]. I believe the person who does scheduling and case assignment has been informed now so that she can be aware of schedule considerations, but she doesn’t “officially” know yet. I will probably announce things at work more officially after the 20-week scan. If I don’t “zip up” my ab muscles, which I have been trying to also do sometimes just to maintain strength, I also am showing now, but I work remotely so it will probably be a surprise to people.

For the most part the second trimester is treating me well so far. I’m just beginning to get a particular very low back pain that I remember from last pregnancy. I am also very hungry and have been wanting a lot of sweet foods and snacky things. I’m hoping it doesn’t culminate in GD.

This will be my second and I am struggling with boy names. I had started to feel most inclined toward [name_m]Micah[/name_m], but then I saw that there is already one at her school and it reminded me that it might end up being more popular than I was hoping for. We’ll see.

[name_m]Micah[/name_m] is a great name! I wouldn’t be able to use it because of a last name issue, but I really like it! It embodies a gentle strength. What do you like about that particular name? (Does that mean you are having a boy? Congrats ) Have you shared your daughter’s name here?

We actually have [name_m]Micah[/name_m] as one of our top boy choices. [name_m]Like[/name_m] you though one of my hesitancies with it is where it lies in the charts.

I have liked it since I was a college student. At the time it seemed like a good unisex name that was both fairly Jewish-sounding and allowed for a more mainstream American nickname if desired.

I am also having a boy and I have talked about my daughter’s name before but am trying to limit how often I post it.

Have you been thinking about names?

I went back and looked and I love it, and them both together. I’m noticing there are lots of people who really protect their children’s names. I don’t know if I’m doing the right thing by being so thoughtless! Could you help me understand your reasons for being careful? Sometimes people use symbols in place of letters, too. I’m kind of confused. Is that too make it hard to search for those names?

Oh, and yes… but I’m really trying not to think of names. I don’t want there to be a name I won’t get to use. This is our “for sure" last little one :yellow_heart:

… But isn’t that always true? I was thinking it would be easier once we know the gender, but maybe I would be sad having a [name_m]Charles[/name_m] but never a [name_m]Henry[/name_m]. I guess once we know the gender, we get to pick our favorite xx/xy name but there’s a sense in which all of the opposite gender names are off the table.

I’m over-thinking this.

If it’s an unusual name, you can for sure use search engines to find birth announcements or social media posts online where your personal info could be attached. It just depends on how comfortable you are with a random person from Nameberry potentially finding out who you really are.

Yeah. Our son’s name is out of the top 1000 in the US so it’d be pretty easy to find if we chose to share on social media. That’s our main reason. I also only post full face shots/likenesses on my Instagram that’s private and I have personally met and approved every single person that has access.

[name_m]Not[/name_m] to be morbid but there’s a lot of perverts out there and with the rise of AI, there will only be more disgusting content made and I don’t want my precious children to be a part of it.

Both my spouse and I have highly, highly searchable names. I also work in a job where there is slightly higher than usual risk of someone with inappropriate boundaries looking me up and getting more information than I would be comfortable with - it is easy to find names and pictures of my family members, and without much work my name can lead you to my home address as well as my childhood phone number. For that reason, I avoid using my name online. And if I avoid it for myself, I feel better about reducing how often make my child’s name obvious online.

Thanks for explaining.

Am I being silly in holding off on names? We’re all here because we love names… I have names that pop into my head here and there, but I keep pushing them off. I’m not sure how I’m going to wait 3.5 months! Haha
