Baby Berries Due October / November / December 2026

I am sorry you have felt so sick! It was that way in my pregnancy with R up into the second trimester. I think I stopped vomiting around 17 or 18 weeks. Were you very nauseated in your earlier pregnancies or is this the first time?

I had been going back and forth on if I wanted to do the NIPT genetic testing, and ultimately decided last week that I wanted to go ahead and do it, just to be as prepared for everything as possible.
My results just came back in and baby is at low risk for chromosomal abnormalities. Such a relief! We also found out that our little baby is a boy! :blue_heart: We are so excited. I would have been thrilled either way, but I have really felt strongly since I found out I was pregnant that I was having a boy. Let the serious naming discussions begin!
Two weeks from tomorrow is my anatomy scan. Can’t wait to see how much baby has grown!

Yaaay congratulations on the low risk NIPT! I am excited to hear how things are progressing in a couple of weeks.

I was sick with both of my previous pregnancy but this one is so far the worst! I actually had to leave the room today at work when they were serving lunch because the smell was knocking me sick because of the cauliflower cheese.

I’m really looking forward to the summer holidays coming up because I am struggling so much at moment with all the sickness and lack of sleep from the nausea and a very clingy 2 year old who has decided that sleep is overrated. Although, I have found two foods that I can stomach right now and that’s really cold green grapes and watermelon. Hopefully I will soon be able to stomach some carbs and protein.

Hi Friends!

I am so excited to be joining this group: Our rainbow baby is due 12/22! It’s been a long rough road getting here. I’m 35, had our son via csection from failure to progress in Feb of 24, had an ovarian tumor removed last [name_f]July[/name_f] and had a miscarriage in [name_f]February[/name_f]. One cycle later and bam! pregnant again. NIPT has come back negative for any genetic analogies and to my surprise, it’s a baby girl! Praying for a vbac so I can avoid a 3rd abdominal surgery, but I’m just happy to be carrying a healthy baby again! Wishing you all the best pregnancies!

I hope you manage to fine some sleep and can eat more things soon. Maybe the second trimester will get kinder as time goes on.

@CareyBoBarey Congratulations! So happy for you for you that the NIPT was healthy. I’m be holding hope for you around the VBAC.

Congratulations @CareyBoBarey!!!

We told about 95% of our family members this weekend. [name_m]Just[/name_m] have my 2 sisters left to tell. Everyone is very excited. My sister in laws both had the sweetest reaction! One laughed in excitement and the other cried! :face_holding_back_tears:

How exciting and lovely! I hope you continue to get such sweet reactions as you tell people

Would you like me to add your EDD to the list at the top by the way? If so, just let me know what it is.

I am 25 weeks now. Last week it suddenly hit me that I was more than halfway along and my spouse thought it was funny that it didn’t click until a month after the 20 week scan. I suddenly feel very unprepared for the transition to two and having a newborn again. I have a lot of house-related stuff to do, baby things to find, and childcare planning I want to get done but at the same time I don’t have the energy for much at once while also navigating work and a toddler. My husband is a great partner in all of it, despite both of us struggling with energy after work.

Baby is as active as his big sister was and I wish I could get the timing right for Ro to get to feel some of it, but that’s ok. We are doing more reading about being a big sibling and trying to get her excited since she doesn’t really like babies at baseline.

I also am getting anxious about the GD testing, I think in part because I don’t know when it will be. They didn’t say anything when I scheduled my last appointment and so my guess it that they will have me schedule it separately at a separate lab, which is annoying compared to my lady experience of having be part of a regular visit. I go to the lab enough for blood draws as it is. But hopefully I screen negative and don’t need even more follow up.

ETA: To add more to my lengthy update, I keep thinking of this baby as Heath. It has never been at my #1 spot, but it is what comes into my mind the most. My husband likes Jonah the most and I could see me using it with some sort of more obviously nature-y middle name, but I don’t like the idea of ending up with Ro and Jo or Ro-Ro (as we use a lot) and Jo-Jo (which I can easily imagine defaulting into). I also still love Caspian and Micah, but I worry Micah is too different from Ro’s name even though I am the first to say names don’t need to match. :woman_shrugging:t2: Being a person is so weird sometimes.

I’m exactly 20 weeks today, and I had my anatomy scan this morning. [name_m]Baby[/name_m] boy was looking great and moving around A TON. I’ve been feeling him move a lot over the past couple of weeks, so I’m not surprised, but it was so nice to see.
Since I’m a type 1 diabetic and a high risk pregnancy, I will be getting regular growth scans every 4 weeks from this point forward. I also scheduled a fetal echo for next month, just to make sure baby’s heart is developing as it should. Having diabetes and being pregnant is definitely a lot to handle, but I’m lucky to have a great team of doctors helping me through. My blood sugars have been great, and I’ve only had to make a couple of slight moderations to my insulin ratios over the past month or so. Hoping things continue to go smoothly for the second half of my pregnancy!

@starless Yay, congratulations on the good anatomy scan! I imagine it is a lot to manage with the extra medical concerns, so I am glad you have a good team and are feeling well supported. What a relief that the blood sugars have been so good and that you havne’t had to do much different to manage it. I am wishing you so much continued luck with things through the rest of the pregnancy.

Also I wanted to let everyone know that the new subscription model sadly means you may not be able to post here anymore. There are some other options (see posts from Pam), but I also have started a Whatsapp group and there is also a new discord server for people interested in connecting and sharing there. I re-started a due date thread for us there and initially was copying and pasting in the post history, but will probably only continue that project if people want that. I will post a follow up to this with links / information for those groups.

EDITED TO ADD: It looks like many forum users are getting free access back. Exciting!

I still have access to the forums, I did read some of the posts by [name_f]Pam[/name_f] but I’ll be honest I’m still not 100 percent sure what is happening.

Anyhoo, I’m at 17 weeks and I’m still feeling awful! I got out on some anti-sickness meds which are helping somewhat and I’m not vomiting everything up but the nausea is still pretty bad but I’m managing to keep plain food down…all I will say is thank goodness for beans on toasts and buttered pasta. I definitely have a bump going on and I’ve been living in dresses in the heat waves here in the UK.

My husband and I have decided to find out the gender and we have been strong armed into doing a gender reveal party style thingy by the twins and my MIL and mum. [name_m]The[/name_m] twins really want to do the whole cutting into a cake to find out the gender…I think they just want cake but our mums are sorting it all so I guess we having a nice little party in a few weeks after our 20 week scan.

I think you are probably going to have continued access to the forum long-term, but other site features may be paywalled.

I’m sorry you are still feeling so sick! I can’t imagine that the heat is helping with that. Hopefully you are able to stay well hydrated at least. I hope the party ends up being nice and low-stress, and that the twins enjoy their cake hahah. Fingers crossed for your scan.

On my end, I had a fun little trip to the hospital last week to get checked out after I either briefly fainted or near fainted while just sitting in my office trying to be engaged in a conversation. They think that because my baseline blood pressure is so low right now, being dehydrated and possibly the baby’s positioning led it to get too low such that caused the fainting/near fainting. They also found out while I was there that I have become anemic since the blood testing in [name_m]March[/name_m], so I have started on iron supplements. More testing this week showed I am low on B12 in addition to probably iron, so I am trying to work on that too now that I know. I was just assuming I felt so much more tired and out of breath this pregnancy compared to the last was the combination of the hot weather, being in worse shape at the start than I was the last pregnancy, and having a toddler. But no, there are some nutritional issues to resolve that hopefully help with how I am feeling! Finally, my glucose tolerance test went fine and I don’t appear to have GD. I don’t know why I was worried about it, but maybe after last week I was just expecting more news that things were off that weren’t off in my last pregnancy.

Thinking of you! Sounds awful, it’s wild that something as natural as pregnancy can lead to so many health problems. It’s so hard to be pregnant with older children because you can’t just take it easy because you have a small human to look after along with yourself.

It least the GD test came back negative and that you are getting the help you need medically.

Thank you so much! [name_m]Just[/name_m] as a heads up, I’m probably going to move my posting to the more private parentberries forum. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] you (and everyone else checking here) are doing well!
