Baby Name Test Drive

@MargotAbeline thanks so much what a beautiful voice you have, you should narrate children’s stories !! Woah I didn’t realize you pronounce 3 Rs in [name_m]Britain[/name_m]. In the states we say uh-roar-uh, not quite as cumbersome. Then again everything sounds more regal in a British accent :heart::heart:

@Artemis31thanks so much!! It’s definitely the 3 R’s making it difficult, here is how we say it in the US- (drop the last R)

@MargotAbeline I love It !:heart::heart: It’s really grown on me, though it’s a name I probably wouldn’t really use. Is [name_f]Willa[/name_f] unpopular in the UK cause of “willy” ? If you don’t mind, I’d love to hear willa!

And finally, I wanted to ask what others think - which combo(s) flow best when said out loud? (Inspired by @anon25197097 )

I agree! It’s incredibly fun!!

i don’t really know! It ranks much higher in the US than in the UK which is unusual because [name_f]Willa[/name_f] gives me a ‘British vibe’ in terms of style. So maybe that does come into play. ‘[name_m]Willy[/name_m]’ is very much a term used by kids so it’s quite possible that people avoid using [name_f]Willa[/name_f] so that there isn’t teasing at school. However, [name_u]Willow[/name_u] is really popular here (in fact i think its more popular here than in the US, in the top 20 i’m sure) and I know quite a few little girls/babies called this. Also [name_m]William[/name_m] and [name_m]Will[/name_m] are popular too so maybe it’s just down to people not being familiar with [name_f]Willa[/name_f]. It wouldn’t put me off using [name_f]Willa[/name_f] but I would definitely consider it if I was thinking about it.

here you go^^ @JacquelineWinnie
