Liana Karissa DiMaggio (20) is a stay-at-home mom living in Los Angeles. She sometimes choreographs, as well as she dances at a dance studio, choreographing for the baby ballerinas. She has also worked as a model in her high school days, and still is.

I’m either going to be loved for this or hated for this but it’s 8 months so this is practically a reboot. Also some threads take place in the future but this time I’m going slightly into the past. [name_u]Welcome[/name_u] back to 2010! Oh and [name_f]Liana[/name_f] is also from 2010 as well just to keep it aligned, after all nobody said what year it takes place until now.
[name_m]Karl[/name_m] [name_u]Amos[/name_u] DiMaggio (1) is Liana’s son, born in 2009 and living it up in 2010. He can’t wait to be a dancer when he’s older and more stable and he loves seeing the other babies. [name_f]Liana[/name_f] reassures him that things will get better for boys who love dancing and she knows her little son [name_m]Karl[/name_m] is enjoying his sweet life right now. He loves the colour blue and really loves dragons a lot.

[name_f]Jayde[/name_f] [name_f]Elaine[/name_f] DiMaggio (nb) is Karl’s newborn baby cousin, born in 2023. She was a surprise gender baby, and her mom had the most emotional home birth with her.

[name_u]Greer[/name_u] [name_f]Jacqueline[/name_f] DiMaggio (3) is Jayde’s big sister and the cousin of [name_m]Karl[/name_m] closest in age to him from this branch of the family. Upon her sister being born, Greer’s response was ‘finally!’, as she was eager for them to meet and begin bonding. She and Jayde’s dad is the youngest of now 33-year-old Liana’s siblings: he’s 29 and they have another sister who’s 30. [name_u]Greer[/name_u] wasn’t born at the best of times - her parents slept together on their second date and just after their third, her mom found out she was expecting, a major shock given the circumstances of how they’d only just started seeing each other.
For the remainder of the pregnancy and for the first year of Greer’s life, they were just co-parents, however a genuine love blossomed from how they focused on good communication and respecting each other’s boundaries. [name_u]Greer[/name_u] herself thinks her parents are the greatest couple in the world and she loves being embroiled in romantic gestures! She’s already got the makings of a talented party planner in her, having a great memory, and being surprisingly organised for someone so young [even if her system only makes sense to Greer].

[name_u]Niall[/name_u] [name_m]Chester[/name_m] [name_f]Levis[/name_f] (34) is the uncle of [name_u]Greer[/name_u] and [name_f]Jayde[/name_f], and father of [name_m]Karl[/name_m]. Karl’s a name passed down through the [name_f]Levis[/name_f] family - being the middle name of Niall’s older brother - and honestly, he doesn’t quite know how many generations it goes back. He wanted his son to take on Liana’s surname though to further help him distinguish himself from his paternal roots, as [name_u]Niall[/name_u] knew the pressure that came attached to this legacy.
For several years following the birth of their son, [name_u]Niall[/name_u] and Liana’s relationship proved to be on-off: partly as they negotiated their career paths, but also thanks to occasional disagreements about the split of childcare. [name_u]Niall[/name_u] tended to be the one who stayed at home with [name_m]Karl[/name_m], putting the breaks on his training as a fireman and working late hours as a security guard when [name_f]Liana[/name_f] was back from classes or shoots; something that led to the couple’s communication breaking down thanks to their schedules not being compatible during this time.
This situation largely came about thanks to the [name_f]Levis[/name_f] and DiMaggio families not being on good terms for a stretch of time. [name_f]Liana[/name_f] and [name_u]Niall[/name_u] met at college and the pregnancy was unplanned, with a blame game of sorts breaking out between their parents in the aftermath, and this led to the couple not receiving much support as they tried to find their feet. It was only when the conflict had been resolved and Liana’s parents were looking after [name_m]Karl[/name_m] - allowing [name_u]Niall[/name_u] to focus on switching to his ideal job - that they were able to talk properly, and reconcile their relationship from its friction.

[name_f]Birdie[/name_f] also took her Mother’s surname DiMaggio and has [name_f]Levis[/name_f] as a sort of 2nd middle name.

[name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_m]Williams[/name_m] (10) is Birdie’s best friend and neighbor. [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] is also a swimmer and often competes in galas with [name_f]Birdie[/name_f]. She loves to read and is always borrowing books from Birdie’s extensive collection. Olivia’s parents are both doctors and she dreams of becoming a pediatrician one day.

Birds are Charlie’s absolute most favourite animal - all her favourite toys are those, reigning champion being a hawk plush named [name_f]Regal[/name_f] - and she’s insistent on getting close to them as much as possible. For her youth, Charlie’s got a lot of moxie, and she never shies away from dragging her parents and sister in the direction of where she wants to go. Thankfully she’s not showing the same bossiness where friends are concerned, and she’s made a few friends at the toddler group her mom takes her two once a week, although family still reign supreme for Charlie’s hugs and smiles.

She works as a wildlife biologist and often spends time studying and observing the birds in the area, which fascinates [name_u]Charlie[/name_u]. [name_f]Maya[/name_f] has become a close friend to the family, especially [name_u]Charlie[/name_u], who loves to go on walks with her to observe the birds. [name_f]Maya[/name_f] is patient and kind with [name_u]Charlie[/name_u], teaching her about the different types of birds and their habitats. She has even taken [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] on a few field trips to observe birds in their natural habitats, which has further fueled Charlie’s love for birds. [name_f]Amalia[/name_f] [name_f]Mira[/name_f] DiMaggio (60, left - person on right is teenage Karl) is the DiMaggio grandmother and works with [name_f]Maya[/name_f] in wildlife biology. She resides near Maya’s mother and the two are close, although [name_f]Amalia[/name_f] has an intergenerational friendship with [name_f]Maya[/name_f] too. [name_m]Karl[/name_m] has come out as pansexual, which [name_f]Amalia[/name_f] supports as well, being bisexual. One of her children is questioning sexuality and [name_f]Amalia[/name_f] is willing to support them no matter what, while letting all her children find things about themselves at their own pace. [name_f]Amalia[/name_f] herself didn’t know how much the beach soothed her until [name_f]Maya[/name_f] and the [name_m]Williams[/name_m] family showed her. Currently she’s celebrating the retirement of the [name_m]Williams[/name_m] grandmother, who she’s grateful to see on her next chapter of life.

[name_m]Emile[/name_m] " [name_u]Miles[/name_u] " [name_m]Lucian[/name_m] DiMaggio (30) is Amalia’s son, Karl’s uncle and the father of [name_f]Jayde[/name_f] and [name_u]Greer[/name_u] DiMaggio. He met his long-term partner - who’s genderfluid and uses xir/she pronouns - when they were in a dead-end retail job during their first year of college, and pretty much relied on one another to cope with the frustrations of Karen’s, faulty tills and co-workers just not appearing for their shifts. [name_u]Miles[/name_u] graduated with a degree in sociology, now being a researcher for charity grants, who helps to identify what particular areas of communities are in the need of financial aid: his older daughter, [name_u]Greer[/name_u], likens him to Spider-Man because of the responsibility, which [name_u]Miles[/name_u] calls her most resounding of compliments.
As the youngest of three, with two older sisters, [name_u]Miles[/name_u] often found himself battling to prove he could be independent, and he was a stubborn child who drove his parents mad trying to explore everywhere. If you told [name_u]Miles[/name_u] no before the age of 8 it was basically a dare, and he now jokes with his sisters about this, as they’d side with their mom to make him settle down [it didn’t always work]. He was diagnosed with ADHD when he was 10 and subsequently has found it a lot easier to understand his reactions to things, especially should he feel constricted. [name_u]Miles[/name_u] wasn’t afraid of questioning people - including his teachers - which led to some arguments when he was in his teens and felt they were being unfair or doubting students, but it won him a unique kind of admiration from certain friends and peers.
The eldest of Miles’ sisters has been questioning her sexuality, something she’s discussed with both him and his partner. [name_u]Miles[/name_u] came out as bi when he was 19, and of course his partner’s gender identity ties into these discussions with her about figuring things out. It does feel a bit surreal having the tables turned from their usual dynamic - [name_u]Miles[/name_u] coming to her for advice - but he wants to be there for his sister, as he’s managed to do it for his daughters’ [a shock to everyone he insists to people when he tells them].

[name_f]Harriet[/name_f] ’ [name_f]Hettie[/name_f] ’ [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] Bywater (30) is Miles’ partner and the mother of [name_f]Jayde[/name_f] and [name_u]Greer[/name_u]. While [name_u]Miles[/name_u] is working in the world of non-profits, [name_f]Hettie[/name_f] is a potter, who both creates her own pieces while running a studio dedicated to crafting and painting models, depending on what customers would prefer. She jokes this stems from a childhood spent playing with play-dough and modelling clay, which absolutely allowed for calm, as Hettie’s two siblings - one has ADHD and the other autism - were usually generating chaos around the house.
Coming to terms with xeir gender fluidity was an unexpected journey for [name_f]Hettie[/name_f]. She actually exclusively used xeir/xem pronouns for several years (starting shortly after xey met [name_u]Miles[/name_u] in the world of retail horror), before recognising she/her was still something that resonated, and this has remained since. Should one of Hettie’s own daughters go down the same path, xeir resolute in being prepared to encourage them, as well as always keeping dialogue open for xeir loved one’s too, as self-expression is of great importance.
On the note of her daughters, being a parent means absolutely everything to [name_f]Hettie[/name_f], with xeir girls’ openly meaning the world to them, and xeir younger daughter’s middle name is a tribute to Hettie’s beloved paternal grandmother, [name_f]Elaine[/name_f] Bywater. Her granny’s house was somewhere [name_f]Hettie[/name_f] loved visiting throughout childhood, as it was a designated space for xem to have some one-on-one attention while xeir parents were busy with the needs of Hetties’ siblings. Xey appreciate this, but knowing there was somewhere she could just focus internally is still important to [name_f]Hettie[/name_f].

[name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] “Nathan” [name_u]James[/name_u] Bywater (28) is Hettie’s autistic brother. He is outgoing and talkative but sometimes misses cues and can come off as tactless. During school, he struggled a lot with anxiety, and still does but has developed the ability to laugh about it. He is a stand-up comedian, turning his experiences into material, and enjoys playing video games.

[name_m]Claude[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m] Bywater (34) is the eldest of the siblings and general source of advice where the needs of [name_f]Hettie[/name_f] and [name_m]Nathan[/name_m] are concerned. Like his siblings, [name_m]Claude[/name_m] found himself drawn to creative pursuits, specifically upholstery and carpentry. He works on private commissions alongside wider projects, including for protected local buildings needing renovations, which he admits to seriously enjoying. As a child, [name_m]Claude[/name_m] was obsessed with history, partly because of his name’s similarity to [name_m]Claudius[/name_m]: associated with notable Ancient [name_m]Roman[/name_m] figures.
Whenever he could, [name_m]Claude[/name_m] tried his best to support [name_m]Nathan[/name_m] too, but their age gap didn’t make this easy, as they were usually at totally different stages of life, with time making this an easier endeavour. This was also impacted by Claude’s ADHD, which is another reason why he’s always preferred practical tasks, as he finds his concentration adapts to them easier. Often he was quite chaotic when making decisions in his younger years too, not considering consequences, which is something he’s expressed regret at now.
A lot of Claude’s patience also began when he and his wife welcomed their first child: their now 6-year-old son. He’s been joined by a little brother and Claude’s wife is now expecting their first daughter, a huge source of excitement for the wider family! Something less exciting - well as [name_m]Nathan[/name_m] calls it - is how Claude’s wife loves playing matchmaker, and as the only single Bywater sibling, he of course gets the sole attention, although the brothers’ know it’s well-meaning, and [name_m]Claude[/name_m] hopes whatever path [name_m]Nathan[/name_m] and [name_f]Hettie[/name_f] head down next, it brings them happiness.

TW: Miscarrarige, Infertility, car birth
[name_f]Jacqueline[/name_f] [name_m]Robin[/name_m] ‘Jackie’ Bywater (née Jones) (35) is Claude’s wife and his son’s mom. [name_m]Claude[/name_m] and [name_f]Jackie[/name_f] initially bonded over their love of history. [name_f]Jackie[/name_f] really likes art history but went to college for english and she writes and illustrates children’s books. She currently has taken a break since her baby girl is due in the upcoming weeks and [name_f]Jackie[/name_f] wants to enjoy these last few moments with her son being an only child. [name_f]Jackie[/name_f] would admit that she is excited to have a daughter since she was the youngest of 7 girls (within 8 years- [name_f]Jackie[/name_f] had a 2 year age gap with her closest sister) and is used to have girls around. [name_f]Jackie[/name_f] was a very shy kid and since her older sister’s all made friends for the family and bossed [name_f]Jackie[/name_f] around, she still is shy but has been able to explore herself as a person .
[name_f]Jackie[/name_f] and [name_m]Claude[/name_m] don’t yet have a definite name for their baby but are sure they want a deep meaning to their baby’s name. [name_f]Jackie[/name_f] would have loved to give her son a sibling sooner but had trouble getting pregnant, she managed to but sadly miscarried the baby girl. [name_m]Claude[/name_m] and her sisters were there for [name_f]Jackie[/name_f] which she is eternally grateful for. [name_f]Jackie[/name_f] has also included a few bumblebee items in the baby’s nursery to make them connected (Claude has nicknames for his children before they are born and would called the girl a bumblebee) . She also loves to include rainbows in her books and makes sure to talk to her son in an age appropriate way about his sister in [name_f]Heaven[/name_f] and has pictures of her ultrasound in her office. [name_f]Jackie[/name_f] has also made sure that her son understands that won’t be the only child in the house anymore and that he won’t have her undivided attention. [name_f]Jackie[/name_f] also has her sisters on call for the next few weeks when baby comes (her son came quickly and unexpectedly in the car) and she does not want to relive that again.

[name_m]Sullivan[/name_m] [name_m]Robert[/name_m] Bywater “Sully” (6) is [name_f]Jackie[/name_f] & Claude’s son. [name_m]Sully[/name_m] is a silly little boy who loves his kindergarten class and is super excited for his little sister to be born. When he was three years old, his mom miscarried his little sister “Bumblebee”. [name_m]Sully[/name_m] was little and didn’t quite understand what had happened but was very confused when all of the sudden, he wasn’t getting a little sister anymore. [name_m]Sully[/name_m] still talks about his sister, sweet baby [name_f]Bee[/name_f]. [name_m]Sully[/name_m] has even reported seeing [name_f]Bee[/name_f] in his dreams and his imaginary friend is named [name_f]Bee[/name_f] – because it’s his little sister, who is still there with him, he says.
[name_m]Sully[/name_m] is very excited for his little sister although he is nervous that she will be miscarried like baby [name_f]Bee[/name_f]. His parents have reassured him that his little sister will be here soon and once she’s here, they will have best time. They also have told him that there are possibilities of complications with his baby sister but right now, everyone is healthy. In the Bywater family, they take it one step at a time. [name_m]Sully[/name_m] wants his little sister to either be named “Cactus”, after his favorite plant – “Cat” for short, or “Miraculous Ladybug”, after his favorite show, “Mira” or “Buggie” for short. He has given these wonderful name ideas to his parents – who are less keen on these names. [name_m]Sully[/name_m] was named after his maternal grandfather, who died when [name_f]Jackie[/name_f] was 19. His middle name is after the uber driver, [name_m]Robert[/name_m] “Rob” who rushed her and [name_m]Claude[/name_m] to the hospital as she gave birth to him – and then helped to get her inside. Now [name_m]Rob[/name_m] and his wife and two kids, aged 19 & 16, come and hang out with the Bywaters’ often, for dinner and parties, and Rob’s daughter babysits for [name_m]Sully[/name_m].

[name_f]Dakota[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] Bywater “Kodi” (nb) is the newborn daughter of [name_m]Claude[/name_m] and [name_f]Jackie[/name_f] and the baby sister of [name_m]Sully[/name_m]. She was born peacefully at home, as if she didn’t want to relive her car birth. [name_f]Jackie[/name_f] decided to do a home birth, and [name_m]Kodi[/name_m] was born in her parents’ bathtub. [name_m]Claude[/name_m] hasn’t taken a bath ever since. 
Kodi’s middle name, [name_f]Louise[/name_f], was after the midwife who delivered her. As for her first name, [name_f]Jackie[/name_f] and [name_m]Claude[/name_m] saw [name_f]Dakota[/name_f] Fanning on a movie [name_m]Sully[/name_m] was watching, Charlotte’s [name_m]Web[/name_m]. [name_f]Jackie[/name_f] always loved the name [name_m]Kodi[/name_m] for a girl, but didn’t want to use it as a full name. So it was perfect.
