I thought we had settled on [name]Caroline[/name], but we’re starting to second guess it. I love double names, and my husband came around to [name]Mary[/name] [name]Katherine[/name] this weekend! He really likes it, and I love it… But I also love [name]Caroline[/name].
I like spunky, non-frilly names. I found a lot of appeal in the unisex names [name]Blythe[/name], [name]Blair[/name], [name]Morgan[/name], [name]Evan[/name], [name]Parker[/name], [name]Blake[/name], etc.
I also love sweet, classic/new classic names that aren’t too frilly. I feel like this style might be a better fit for us over the unisex names though.
We have a 2yr old [name]Allison[/name] [name]Jane[/name] nn [name]Allie[/name]
Please critique these names and pick your favorite!! Thank you so so much!
[name]Mary[/name] [name]Katherine[/name] nn [name]Mary[/name] [name]Kate[/name]
or
[name]Caroline[/name]
[name]Caroline[/name]!!! It’s on my list. Has been one of my fave’s forever. Are you doing a double barrel first with [name]Mary[/name] [name]Katherine[/name] or is that first and middle. I mean I definitely prefer [name]Caroline[/name] to both but [name]Kate[/name] is cute for [name]Mary[/name] [name]Katherine[/name]…[name]Mary[/name] [name]Kate[/name] gives me a catholic school girl vibe lol
I like both [name]Caroline[/name] and [name]Mary[/name] [name]Katherine[/name]. [name]Mary[/name] [name]Kate[/name] is what makes my heart goo. I love double names.
If you like double names, one thing to consider is [name]Mary[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]. [name]One[/name] of my best friends is named that and I always loved it. However, she went by [name]Mary[/name] a lot.
So if you don’t like the first or second name on its own, be warned! My friend’s grandmother and mother HATED when she went by [name]Mary[/name].
I like the name [name]Mary[/name] [name]Katherine[/name] too. [name]Caroline[/name] is adorable for a baby girl! [name]How[/name] would you pronounce it? Like [name]Carol[/name]-ein or like [name]Carolyn[/name]? (I like [name]Carol[/name]-ein better myself.)
[name]Both[/name] are beautiful choices! I slightly prefer [name]Mary[/name] [name]Katherine[/name]. I am slightly biased as I have a [name]Mary[/name] [name]Clare[/name]!
[name]Caroline[/name] pronounced with the [name]LINE[/name] ending, not lyn. I live in a southern state where [name]Caroline[/name] is almost always pronounced this way, it’s also number 15 in my state… Lots of little Carolines.
I do love [name]Mary[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name], but my husband hates it
I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Mary[/name] [name]Katherine[/name], especially with the nn [name]Mary[/name] [name]Kate[/name].
I second kayceeb’s suggestion of [name]Mary[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name], perhaps with the nn [name]Emmy[/name] or [name]Emmie[/name] (from the initials M-E).
[name]Caroline[/name] is pretty, but I’d definitely go with [name]Mary[/name] [name]Katherine[/name] or [name]Mary[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] first.
[name]Caroline[/name]. I think it’s lovely. If you replaced the [name]Katherine[/name] in the mary combo with something unisex, It would get my vote. [name]One[/name] of my favorite [name]Mary[/name] combos is [name]Mary[/name] [name]Ellis[/name]
I prefer [name]Caroline[/name] personally, but certainly see the appeal of [name]Mary[/name] [name]Kate[/name] (and the suggested [name]Mary[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]). The popularity of [name]Caroline[/name] in your area would dissuade me a bit, but that’s a very personal thing. I like [name]Mary[/name] [name]Blythe[/name] as well, and it’s more interesting than [name]Mary[/name] [name]Kate[/name].
I think these are both gorgeous options. [name]Caroline[/name] is very very high on my list, so I’m a bit biased, but [name]Mary[/name] [name]Katherine[/name], nn [name]Mary[/name] [name]Kate[/name], is beautiful and cute at the same time. These both have a different feel to me, so I would recommend waiting until your little girl is born and seeing which one she feels more like. Either way, she will have a beautiful name.
[name]Mary[/name] [name]Katherine[/name] reminds me of [name]Mary[/name] [name]Kate[/name] as in [name]Mary[/name] [name]Kate[/name] and [name]Ashley[/name]. I don’t like that association, so I choose [name]Caroline[/name].
[name]Mary[/name] [name]Katherine[/name] is lovely! I prefer [name]Caroline[/name], but I love [name]Mary[/name] [name]Katherine[/name] too (though I really dislike the nickname [name]Mary[/name] [name]Kate[/name]).
To me, [name]Mary[/name] [name]Katherine[/name] isn’t [name]Mary[/name]-[name]Kate[/name] [name]Olsen[/name]. However, all I can think of when I hear the name is [name]Molly[/name] [name]Shannon[/name] and her [name]Saturday[/name] [name]Night[/name] Live character [name]Mary[/name] [name]Katherine[/name] [name]Gallagher[/name] (one of my favourites)
I vote for [name]Mary[/name] [name]Katherine[/name], nn [name]Mary[/name] [name]Kate[/name]. Your 2 year old has two names, and I think it fits better with her name.
That said, [name]Caroline[/name] is a lovely name so don’t feel bad if that is what you choose.
[name]Mary[/name] [name]Katherine[/name]! I have a [name]Mary[/name]-[name]Elizabeth[/name], we call her both names, I also live in a Southern state, and I we always get tons of compliments. I do love [name]Caroline[/name]… but I just gravitate to double names, and [name]Mary[/name] [name]Katherine[/name] sounds so regal and timeless. [name]Mary[/name] [name]Kate[/name] as a nick name is so cute and spunky! [name]LOVE[/name]!
Would you consider [name]Mary[/name] [name]Caroline[/name]?
It’s no longer sylable-wise than [name]Mary[/name] [name]Katherine[/name] and rather pretty.
If not, I like both but prefer [name]Caroline[/name] (biased, it’s my name)
[name]Do[/name] yourself a favor and watch one episode of [name]Saturday[/name] [name]Night[/name] Live with the [name]Mary[/name] [name]Katherine[/name] character in it.
[name]Caroline[/name] gets my vote by a long shot.
