I like [name]Katherine[/name] and [name]Catherine[/name]. The rest just annoy me in a way. [name]Kathryn[/name] seems like such a downgrade from [name]Katherine[/name]. (No offense intended to any Kathryns)
It depends on the whole name whether I like the C or K more, but I generally like the K more.
I’m also a fan of [name]Katerina[/name], and [name]Ekaterina[/name].
I prefer [name]Catherine[/name] if you plan to use only the full name [name]Catherine[/name]. If you want the nn [name]Katy[/name]/[name]Katie[/name], then I prefer [name]Katherine[/name] or [name]Kathryn[/name]
My name is [name]Catherine[/name] and I am definitely glad my parents chose this spelling. They liked the C spelling partially because it was less likely to be shortened to [name]Katie[/name] or [name]Kate[/name] (although that doesn’t stop some!). This spelling feels the most traditional, as it is the one that appears in novels such as [name]Jane[/name] [name]Austen[/name] or Wuthering Heights.
I prefer [name]Catherine[/name] or [name]Katherine[/name]. [name]Katharine[/name] just seems like it would be a lot of trouble when it comes to spelling. I like how [name]Kathryn[/name] looks, but the “y” does give it a trendy vibe.
I like the classic [name]Katherine[/name] spelling the best. To me it just looks the best written down- the C spelling seems kind of incomplete to me, like there should be a K there instead.
I like [name]Catherine[/name] or [name]Katherine[/name], but not [name]Kathryn[/name]. The y is trendy to me, and I dont’ feel like it needs to be there. I’m stuck on if I like [name]Katherine[/name] or [name]Catherine[/name] more. I love the nicknames [name]Kitty[/name] and [name]Kay[/name] but those names aren’t available with the C spelling. But something about [name]Catherine[/name] seems regal (i.e. [name]Catherine[/name] the Great.) I think that either [name]Katherine[/name] or [name]Catherine[/name] would be a good choice.
[name]Katherine[/name] for me since I don’t like [name]Cate[/name] or [name]Cat[/name] Cit, and to me names like [name]Katherine[/name] are all about the nicknames.
I used [name]Katharine[/name] for my daughter because of [name]Saint[/name] [name]Katharine[/name] Drexel and I wanted the “K” for [name]Kate[/name]. However, we’ve taken to using her whole name and I’m wondering it I should have gone with [name]Catherine[/name]. I do like that my daughter has a different initial than her sister [name]Clare[/name]. I tend to like shorter names so sometimes I wish I had gone with [name]Kathryn[/name] I feel that all Katherine/Catherine/Katharine/Kathryns will have to spell their name.
I love both [name]Catherine[/name] and [name]Katherine[/name]! [name]Catherine[/name] seems a bit more soft and romantic while [name]Katherine[/name] is more strong and Greek godess looking (idk?)
This name isn’t a favorite of mine, but I like the look & feel of [name]Catherine[/name] the best. It feels more classic because K has so many trendy connotations for the past decade or so.
I definitely prefer [name]Catherine[/name]. The -ryn- thing is much too modern/70’s for my taste. As for [name]Katherine[/name], the K just seems too “clunky” in front of an otherwise graceful name. And besides, [name]Catherine[/name] is my mother’s name : )
I much prefer [name]Catherine[/name] - it seems sort of flowing and effortless, much like I would imagine a [name]Catherine[/name] to be.
Being a name nerd has trained me to dislike most K-names. I automatically associate K with trendy, along with the fact that I find K’s to be quite a spiky, unfriendly letter at the start of names. [name]Catherine[/name] seems much more open.
I like both [name]Catherine[/name] and [name]Katherine[/name] but in general, I prefer [name]Katherine[/name]. It seems like a stronger name to me. Which is funny because I picked [name]Catherine[/name] as my confirmation name.
