[name]Just[/name] curious which you think sounds nicer.
I prefer [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Claire[/name].
[name]Both[/name] are pretty but I think [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Claire[/name] flows slightly better.
I like [name]Clara[/name] [name]Louise[/name]. Beautiful.
[name]Both[/name] are lovely, but I slightly prefer the gorgeous [name]Clara[/name] [name]Louise[/name].
Hmm…
[name]Both[/name] are beautiful. [name]Clara[/name] is a great spunky choice, she has a very strong appeal. But I think [name]Louise[/name] just sounds really same-y in the middle name slot. [name]Clara[/name] [name]Louise[/name] feels like a very stereotypical combination almost like ‘[name]Louise[/name]’ is a filler middle name. Something like [name]Clara[/name] Annelies would for me be better than [name]Clara[/name] [name]Louise[/name]. Whereas the combination [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Claire[/name] doesn’t feel stereotypical like [name]Clara[/name] [name]Louise[/name]. [name]Louisa[/name] feels far more unusual than [name]Louise[/name] because she isn’t seen as often as [name]Louise[/name]. [name]Louisa[/name] is really feminine and elegant, I love the spunky wholesomeness of [name]Louisa[/name] and I also love how sweet she sounds with [name]Claire[/name]. [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Claire[/name] just looks beautiful and sounds so poetic.
Great feedback! Thanks!
[name]Louisa[/name] [name]Claire[/name] flows slightly better, but I love the name [name]Clara[/name]. I would pick based on what first name you like better - they both sound nice and the first name is the one you will be using every day.
[name]Both[/name] are lovely but I prefer [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Claire[/name], simply because in general I prefer [name]Louisa[/name] over [name]Louise[/name] and [name]Claire[/name] over [name]Clara[/name].
I prefer [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Claire[/name], it’s beautiful.
[name]Clara[/name] [name]Louise[/name]. I think it flows better.
[name]Clara[/name] [name]Louise[/name]…I prefer [name]Clara[/name] to [name]Louisa[/name], but prefer [name]Louisa[/name] to [name]Louise[/name].
[name]Clara[/name] [name]Louise[/name]
I like [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Claire[/name] as a combo more (so beautiful!), but I like [name]Clara[/name] more in general. I think [name]Clara[/name] [name]Lou[/name] would be adorable. I guess I just don’t get [name]Louise[/name]. I love [name]Louisa[/name], [name]Lou[/name], and a plethora of other [name]Lu[/name]- names ([name]Luella[/name]! [name]Luna[/name]! [name]Lucia[/name]! [name]Lucilla[/name]! [name]Tallulah[/name]!), but [name]Louise[/name] just doesn’t appeal to me for some reason.
I prefer [name]Clara[/name] [name]Louise[/name] mainly because I love the first name [name]Clara[/name]. This would be my pick.
As another [name]Clara[/name] fan, [name]Clara[/name] [name]Louise[/name] sounds stunning to me.
I really like [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Claire[/name], just because it feels a little more sophisticated than [name]Clara[/name] [name]Louise[/name]. [name]Lou[/name] and [name]Lulu[/name] are cute nicknames as well.
I like [name]Clara[/name] [name]Louise[/name] better.
Oh dear, Linguaphile, can I be honest? I’m not a nickname fan (I hate when people try to shorten my name. Ugh.). I’m especially wary for a beautiful name like [name]Louisa[/name], and my biggest fear is that people would start calling her either [name]Lou[/name] or Weezy. Oh boy. What do y’all think? Would you intuitively nickname a [name]Louisa[/name]?
Well, every [name]Louisa[/name] I know goes by a nickname that was coined by peers early on, so I wouldn’t rule out that they’d be shortened on the playground (but I can’t imagine anyone going for ‘Weezy’… blech). Mind you, my mum hated the nicknames for [name]Michael[/name] when she named my older brother, and to this day nobody (except or some high school friends) calls him anything except [name]Michael[/name]. If you hate the nicknames, though, I’d probably go for something that’s less likely to be shortened.
