Considering changing my own name

[name]Pheobe[/name] [name]Annora[/name] [name]Belle[/name] Larkspur !!

I agree with [name]Jill[/name], [name]Pheobe[/name] doesn’t remind me of Friends. I [name]LOVE[/name] the show and I still watch reruns, but I do not think of it when I hear [name]Pheobe[/name]. [name]Pheobe[/name] is such a great name for you! I feel like it fits perfectly. I also [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Belle[/name]! But with the Twilight epidemic and [name]Bella[/name] being super popular, I would not use it as a first name. It works so well as one of your middles though! Good luck with everything!

[name]Lainy[/name]

I never watched “Friends” for longer than a couple of minutes. For some reason, I could never get into it. So [name]Phoebe[/name] doesn’t remind me of “Friends”. [name]Love[/name] [name]Phoebe[/name], one of my favorites!

[name]Phoebe[/name] doesn’t remind me of Friends.

I am not fond of [name]Annora[/name] or any [name]Nora[/name] names.

I am sorry you don’t love [name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] anymore it is quite timeless.

[name]Belle[/name] is my granddaughter’s name and she is an extrovert, so poised and eloquent with great presence, quite beautiful and will probably be a professional or business woman a la excellence and is only 9 years old! If you wanted to give my gd a long name it would have to be [name]Arabella[/name], da dah, she is always the star!

I don’t find it cutesie at all.

Here is the new combo

[name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Arabella[/name]!

I’ve watched this movie called “Southern Belles” many times. It’s on the [name]Sundance[/name] [name]Channel[/name]. It’s about two friends named [name]Bell[/name] and [name]Belle[/name]. [name]Love[/name] that movie. That movie really makes me love the name [name]Belle[/name] even though there are lots of Bellas around and Isabellas, too.

hey, you said your nickname is [name]Bee[/name].

what a coincidence! i’ve just watched a friendship movie a couple days a ago named The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.

one of the girls in the movie has a nickname of [name]Bee[/name], and her name is [name]Bridget[/name].

if you don’t mind to have a name the same as a movie character, you may want to consider [name]Bridget[/name], and i think she has relative similarity as you.

[name]Hi[/name], [name]Gaia[/name]!

[name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Annora[/name] is gorgeous! I really like it very much. [name]Phoebe[/name] doesn’t remind me of Friends, either, partially because Friends was more for the generation right before mine. Actually, [name]Phoebe[/name] reminds me of the name for the Greek god [name]Apollo[/name] used by [name]Roman[/name] poets, [name]Phoebus[/name]. I used to be a bit of a mythology nut…

Anyway, [name]Belle[/name] is cute! But, you’re right, it is a bit cutesy. If you don’t want to save it for a pet - aww! - what about a surname? [name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Annora[/name] [name]Bellamy[/name] [name]Fox[/name], or whatever surname you eventually decide on. Or, hyphenate it! I think using [name]Bellamy[/name] is pretty cool. If you decide you no longer want to use [name]Belle[/name], I still love [name]Caroline[/name], and [name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Annora[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] is stunning…

Good luck!

[name]Hi[/name] there everyone,

You’re all probably so sick of me and my inability to make a decision by now, but if by any chance you’re not here’s a wee update.

I have been considering so many other first names, but I keep coming back to [name]Phoebe[/name]. I think its pretty much meant to be. I’m so glad the rest of you don’t automatically think of Friends when you hear it, as much as I love the show.

I’ve been considering the combo [name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Veronica[/name] recently. [name]Veronica[/name] has always been a top name of mine and I only just discovered that it means “true image”- which I love and find somewhat relevant. However, I have really quite negative associations with Christianity (I have no negative feeling towards Christians let me assure you, just the religion itself… bit of a long story) and so this is putting me off the name a little despite my love for it.

Another one I have been considering is [name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Matilda[/name], meaning “mighty in battle”- which again seems pretty relevant. I really do love the name also.

I’m still very much considering [name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Annora[/name] and [name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] also, as I love both of these

I think for the second middle name I may need something shorter, one or two syllables perhaps, for it to flow better…but I’m not overly sure about this. Still…any suggestions there?

I’m still really iffy on the last name, I can’t seem to figure that out at all. But perhaps it will all fall into place eventually.

Thanks so much again to you all, its a frustrating process but you’ve all really helped so far and given me the opportunity to sit and natter away about it- which has been a huge relief. I hope you are all well.

Hello [name]Bee[/name]

I know what you’re going through in trying to choose a new name (first- and last) as I’ve done it myself. The one tip I will give you is to stay true to your heart. I did not, I second guessed myself, and ended up quickly changing my first name again.

It seems like [name]Phoebe[/name] is your first choice. I love it! If you feel like a [name]Phoebe[/name] then you probably are.

I adore the meaning of [name]Bellamy[/name] as has been suggested and think this would make a lovely last name.

You mentioned your love of superheroes - it would be nice to incorporate some kind of superhero (or personal hero) name as a middle or last name, I think. [name]Clark[/name] is a good last name.

I also like the idea of using only names with positive meaning.

Some suggestions for you:

Aiwon / Aion - eternity - Greek
[name]Anaya[/name] - completely free - Sanskrit
[name]Caron[/name] - loving, kindhearted - Welsh (an alt. to [name]Caroline[/name]?)
[name]Freya[/name] - Norse godess of love, fertility (thus renewal) and beauty
Jovia - happy - Latin
[name]Liv[/name] - life - Norse
[name]Lucia[/name] - light - Latin
Lykke - happy, happiness - Danish
Meja (pron. [name]Meya[/name], also alt. spelling) - strength, power - old Norse
[name]Naya[/name] - free, liberated - Arabic ([name]Naia[/name] is “to flow” in Hawaiian)
[name]Nova[/name] - new - Latin
[name]Viveca[/name] - alive, life - Norse

You mentioned princess [name]Leia[/name] had a very special meaning to you. Her name was Skywalker, perhaps [name]Walker[/name] could be a possible new last name? Or add [name]Sky[/name] as a middle name? Should you not choose Larkspur as a last name, Skylark is another option.
Another middle name could be [name]Amidala[/name] (according to nameberry it means “beautiful flower”).
I’m not saying you should use all these names, perhaps only one of them
I also love Solo as a last name! Translated from Italian it’d be only or alone.
[name]Leia[/name]'s mother was Padm” which sounds very much like [name]Padma[/name], the Hindu goddess of abundance, beauty, and prosperity!

For last names:

[name]Sage[/name] / [name]Sagan[/name] - wise and knowing - Latin
Siskin - sweet child (also a bird) - [name]German[/name]/Jewish
Sonnen - sun - [name]German[/name]
Stark - strong, brave - Teutonic
Rask - healthy, energetic - Danish
Valenti - strong, vigourous, healthy - Italian, Latin
[name]Victor[/name] - victory - Latin
[name]Vinci[/name] - to conquer - Italian, Latin
Vitali / [name]Vitalis[/name] - of life, vital - Italian, Latin

I wish you all the best and hope you’ll soon find your perfect new (full) name

[name]Love[/name] the idea of [name]Walker[/name] as a last name to represent Skywalker.
Also love [name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Veronica[/name]. [name]Veronica[/name] could be a true image of anything that is meaningful to you.

[name]Hi[/name] there everyone,

I hope you are all doing well

There was a bit of a spanner thrown in the works over this end! Its forced me to rethink how exactly I’m going to go about this name buisness.

Basically, it turns out that (although I was named after a family member) in actual fact it was my grandmother who named me. Now, I’ve never really had any strong family ties etc… and its an extremely long, complicated story, but my grandmother has given me a lot of (much needed) support through some incredibly tough times lately (mainly regarding problems with my immediate family etc).

I now feel very strange about changing the first name, out of loyalty to her and the level of support she has given me recently. So I am now considering keeping my original first name, despite my hatred for it.

If I have to grin and bear this awful name for the rest of my days (you can tell I’m a little dramatic, haha) then I want to make up for it in other ways.

I still [name]ADORE[/name] [name]Phoebe[/name], and this is definately going in the middle name spot. I was thinking I could mainly go by my “middle name”…nobody is really going to know the difference right? And its still perfectly legal to do so.

OR…

I’m very seriously considering [name]Fairfax[/name] as my new surname (I know, finally eh?) and its really been growing on me to use it as my “first” name, if you get what I mean? It would be put in the surname spot, but I’d use it mainly as a first name. Am I making any sense?

What would you think of a girl named [name]Fairfax[/name]? I adore the idea of using [name]Faye[/name] or Faira as nicknames too.

A lot of people would still know me as [name]Bee[/name] of course, but I’m moving to a new part of the country and joining university pretty soon- where I won’t know anybody. I think I could pretty easily get away with this. I think its classic, spunky and rather pretty in an unconventional way too.

What do you think? Would it work?

[name]Phoebe[/name] or [name]Fairfax[/name]? [name]Bee[/name] or [name]Faye[/name]/Faira?

I’m so confused…but you’re probably used to me being so undecisive by now, haha. I’m getting so much closer to that final decision now…and if I get there soon, I can change it within the next month or so, which is pretty exciting!

[name]Hi[/name] gaia I would stick with [name]Phoebe[/name] and put it in the first name position followed by Grandma’s name and then your surname.
