Marie’s originally a Canadian from [name_m]Quebec[/name_m], but her family moved when she was around 5. Marie’s brash and bold personality made it hard to keep or maintain many friends in her childhood, which was tough for her, but luckily she managed to get through the elementary school years. Marie’s got a sister who’s five years older than her, and another who’s seven years older than her- her sisters are very close, which was hard for [name_u]Marie[/name_u] as she didn’t really have anyone to bond with. However, when she met [name_f]Clarice[/name_f] on the first day of eighth grade, there was an instant connection. Both come across as mean and rude at first but once you get to know them, they’re the sweetest girls you’ll ever meet. A major difference is that Marie’s more extroverted than [name_f]Clarice[/name_f], and very confident.

[name_u]Marie[/name_u] is the type of girl who takes shit from nobody. In high school, she was very involved in activism- she ran her school’s Anti-Prejudice Club. They weren’t allowed to call it the LGBTQ+ Society because of their school’s rules and angry parents, so they came up with a more “inclusive” name (which [name_u]Marie[/name_u] detested but soon came to terms with). They campaigned for a gender neutral bathroom, which soon became a reality thanks to nonstop protest and Marie’s ability to be brash. Unfortunately, the club got disbanded due to a few misdemeanors on Marie’s part- she “incited a fight” with an “innocent boy.” The boy had been verbally harassing her for some time, and even physically harassing her (e.g. pulling her hair during math class and even putting gum it it, using the d-slur on her and grabbing her wrist in the hallways as a joke.

[name_u]Marie[/name_u] reported his behaviours to the principal, but the boy was the captain of the football team and the principal didn’t want to interfere with the newfound success of the team, which hadn’t had a win in nearly 10 years since this boy joined the team. Ironically, this boy was friends with the boy who cheated on [name_f]Clarice[/name_f], which made [name_u]Marie[/name_u] even angrier. The principal dismissed her concerns as “just a misunderstanding” and sent her back to class. But [name_u]Marie[/name_u] is very persistent when she doesn’t get what she wants. She went back to the principal’s the next day with a large wad of gum in her hair. The principal’s responses? “Aw, maybe he just likes you.” “Don’t take it so personally.” “Well, he doesn’t do this to many other girls- maybe you’re the problem.” [name_u]Marie[/name_u] was infuriated. With nobody else to go to, she turned to the social worker and told her but she had no input, despite seeming more concerned than the principal.

The next time the boy grabbed Marie’s hand in the hallway, she turned around, stepped on his foot with her platform heel, and socked him right in the jaw. This got her suspended for a month, as well as permanently suspending the Anti-Prejudice Club. [name_u]Marie[/name_u] didn’t take this well, but she didn’t act out against it. She knew that would be no good, and could hurt her college application. Marie’s dream is to become a fashion designer- ever since she was little, she’d keep a notebook full of her “fashion designs.” When she was 7, it was a sparkly pink one with scribbly marker drawings of dresses, shirts and pants. Now, it’s a more composed black notebook that’s also a lot more organized. She eventually got into a good school with much less toxic people…and met her girlfriend. [name_u]Marie[/name_u] is desperately in love with her girlfriend and feels that she’s the only person who truly understands her. Now, they’re both fashion designers for models, and the kids who made Marie’s life uncomfortable in high school are dealing with unpaid child support bills.

Apart from being a successful fashion designer and living with the woman of her dreams, Marie‘s also an influencer who runs an Instagram and TikTok page full of all her designs and ideas- she loves her Instagram page, and all the people who leave supportive comments on her posts and Reels. She’s also considering starting a blog YouTube channel. But most of all, Marie’s enjoying being 100% unapologetically herself, without anybody trying to silence her and shut her down- she’s happier than she’s ever been.

Ha-eun " [name_f]Cindy[/name_f] " Seok (22) is one of Marie’s colleagues, who’s come to know her well because of her closeness with Marie’s girlfriend. The pair had started their modelling careers around the same time and were involved in a lot of collaborative shoots, with [name_f]Cindy[/name_f] being one of the first to know about her friend’s crush on [name_u]Marie[/name_u]: something she encouraged her to pursue, as she’s admittedly fond of playing [name_m]Cupid[/name_m]. She met her partner - who’s trans masc., using they/he pronouns - when they were working as a design assistant for a project she was involved in at just 18, and they were both the youngest people involved, meaning they formed a natural kinship, partly due to being babied a little by their peers [even if it was well-meaning]. In spite of having been together for a considerable amount of time, they live separately right now - conflicting schedules means cohabiting feels a little pointless unfortunately - but they do intend on moving in together, alongside her partners’ brother and his girlfriend, as the quartet get along swimmingly. Right now, [name_f]Cindy[/name_f] lives solo in a studio apartment - although she frequently has friend’s staying while they’re between shoots, trips and college semesters - although she’s always kept company by her beloved Norwegian forest cat, [name_u]Merlin[/name_u], who was a gift from her older sister 3 Christmases ago [and has been gifted his own Insta, as [name_f]Cindy[/name_f] loves capturing his beauty and natural elegance…as well as his rare moments of goofiness].

While Cindy’s parents didn’t entirely disagree with her career choice, they weren’t exactly shy about voicing their doubts. This was especially emphasised given her older sister’s currently working towards becoming a pathologist, and her 17-year-old brother’s set on studying architecture at college, meaning she seems the frivolous one by default, strengthened by her general disinterest in traditional academics. Cindy’s always held firm about her own interests - starting when she’d go bug hunting, to the horror of her mom [who’s very firm about the house being the height of cleanliness] - and this has led to a respect developing between her parents and her over time. While she may drive them mad with her determined streak, admitting she’s terribly stubborn and hates to accept defeat at anything she pursues, they understand how sincere she is about her interests; as well as having become more articulate in voicing her preferences and perspectives as she’s grown older. She knows they still have fears - even if they’re unvoiced now - but is careful with her finances and is always ensuring her career is stable, keeping herself booked up and in high demand with the help of her online portfolio.

Outside of her work - and the travel it encompasses, something Cindy’s ultimately more neutral about than anything [she loves visiting other countries but does have a homebody side to her that enjoys familiarity and friendly faces ] - calligraphy is her main hobby. Having always been known for her exceptionally neat handwriting, but lacking traditional artistic talents [she bemoans this jokingly to her best friend, who’s about to gain a degree in illustration], this is her ideal way of unwinding, while fitting into her love of strong visual composition. She also volunteers whenever possible for a local cat charity - having organised several fundraisers through her connections - with her favourite thing being spending time with the animals themselves, even if she has to face Merlin’s jealousy upon returning home. Another cat is absolutely something [name_f]Cindy[/name_f] would love, but she admits he doesn’t have the right temperament to accept a roommate, so for now it’s just the two of them - even if her older sister’s two tabbies might be an ideal means of getting [name_u]Merlin[/name_u] a little friendlier and able to share her affection. She was originally a child actor but was pushed into modeling by her agent when she was fired from a movie due to her weight which led to an eating disorder and she started modeling. After a breakdown at a fashion show she decided to use her modeling career to promote women’s mental health, eating disorders and not normalising weight shaming women. She loves working with [name_u]Marie[/name_u] because [name_u]Marie[/name_u] respects [name_u]Angel[/name_u] and doesn’t treat [name_u]Angel[/name_u] like just another model.

Despite what anyone says, she’s glad [name_u]Marie[/name_u] stood up to the boy especially since [name_f]Abrienne[/name_f] absolutely despises people who don’t get the comeuppance they deserve or even a bad reputation for what they did. All her life, Abrienne’s had two enemies; a guy who constantly shouted at people and wasn’t afraid of public fights and a gal who constantly lied and was a hypocrite. While the guy’s behavior was objectively worse, [name_f]Abrienne[/name_f] subjectively hated the gal more because nobody ever called her out while the guy had already had a notorious bad rap. Oh well the gal is just petty but what can you do? What’s so bad about her that makes [name_f]Abrienne[/name_f] want to hate her more? Oh, just that the gal spread a lie that [name_f]Abrienne[/name_f] supported an unhealthy fad diet…a lie that got [name_f]Abrienne[/name_f] fired. [name_f]Abrienne[/name_f] wants to sue her for slander once and for all but knows slander cases are hard to win, especially with very scant proof that the gal was the one who really said it to cost [name_f]Abrienne[/name_f] her position.

[name_f]Abrienne[/name_f] is close with [name_u]Angel[/name_u] because she knows [name_u]Angel[/name_u] won’t judge her and [name_f]Abrienne[/name_f] is focusing on a new agency. She believes the person who fired [name_u]Angel[/name_u] from the movie is a horrid person who also didn’t get comeuppance. [name_f]Abrienne[/name_f] believes [name_u]Angel[/name_u] should sue for damages seeing how [name_u]Angel[/name_u] was affected by her eating disorder and to prevent this from happening to someone else. [name_f]Abrienne[/name_f] knows [name_u]Angel[/name_u] deserved better. She’s still very happy [name_u]Angel[/name_u] is living her best life that she can and that [name_u]Angel[/name_u] is paying it forward.

[name_f]Serena[/name_f] is self-centred and in group shoots she usually places herself in the center, as the youngest kid in her family she is used to being the favourite. She is very active and usually shoots with sport brands and only respresents Marie’s sportswear.

Noëlla Éponine [name_m]Grafton[/name_m] (29) is the eldest [name_m]Grafton[/name_m] sister, and a fashion photographer who works with her sisters and many other models, including [name_f]Cindy[/name_f], [name_u]Angel[/name_u], and [name_f]Serena[/name_f]. She is very well connected in the fashion industry, and is married to a man who owns a major designer brand. Noëlla loves both of her sisters dearly, and while she would never say it out loud, one of her proudest moments as a sister was when [name_u]Marie[/name_u] stood up to the boy who was harassing her.

Noëlla is deathly serious about her work, and has gotten in fights with both models and designers over how they feel her shoots should be. Recently, she was in charge of photographing a shoot for Marie’s sportswear brand, with [name_f]Serena[/name_f] as a model, and when [name_f]Serena[/name_f] refused to move from the center for Noëlla, she refused to continue the shoot until [name_f]Serena[/name_f] was removed.

Noëlla has spent most of her twenties devoted to her career, but when she found out recently that she and her husband are expecting a baby girl, she’s been torn between wanting to return to her work as soon as possible after her birth, or take some time off to spend with her daughter.

Having worked in some very toxic agencies before her recent move, [name_f]Tansy[/name_f] refuses to get involved in anything stressful, and Noëlla’s intense perfectionism is something she prefers to avoid. While she respects how much photography means to her colleague, and her ability to stand her ground, she doesn’t want to end up feeling any resentment towards her, so [name_f]Tansy[/name_f] actively ensures she and Noëlla don’t collaborate. She is always complimentary of Noëlla’s work though, and does her best to ensure peace remains through the agency.

Tansy’s much more easygoing in how she goes about her shoots and actively enjoys in listening to feedback. While she knows her own vision, she’s happy to take on feedback or contemplate other ideas, having always had a free-spirited outlook on her work. She attributes this to growing up with her parents, who ran their own cafe specialising in Mexican cuisine in the heart of Arizona; seeing how their business thrived because of how much they loved doing influenced the way [name_f]Tansy[/name_f] wanted to approach her career. Her older sister took over so they could retire, and Tansy’s had several dinners with her agency colleagues there, never minding the familial reminiscence that always happens if her dad know she’s coming for food.

Living in a one bedroom house with her partner - who uses they/she pronouns - the couple would like to have children themselves, but are going to give it at least another year. This is because Tansy’s partner is a marine biologist who doesn’t want to constantly be leaving their children and [name_f]Tansy[/name_f] herself without them around, while having a lot of important trips they still want to be involved in for the time being. The couple started out as long distance - Tansy’s partner is from Australia, having met her when they were on holiday with some friends - and so being apart isn’t phasing to them, although they’re constantly sending one another little affectionate notes when these occurrences happen.

Unlike their sister, they’re not the girly type and are proudly genderfluid. Still, [name_f]Nini[/name_f] is proudly herself and shares many of Angel’s body positive and mental health positive ways. [name_f]Nini[/name_f] adores [name_f]Tansy[/name_f] and is in love with her and savours Mexican food, being a fan of it forever but knowing the Orihuela family is the best with it. [name_f]Nini[/name_f] completely understands and respects Tansy’s decision to rarely work with Noëlla although they support both women and [name_f]Nini[/name_f] herself is happy as a marine biologist and isn’t interested in working in either of their sibling’s careers. They and [name_f]Abrienne[/name_f] agree that Angel’s director should be sued and also that the woman who slandered [name_f]Abrienne[/name_f] should be punished.

However since Angel‘s director is still currently residing in Australia and [name_u]Angel[/name_u] and [name_f]Nini[/name_f] only moved away after the controversy, they’re putting the idea of a lawsuit away for now, but at least it gives them more time to gather evidence. The middle child between [name_f]Nini[/name_f] and [name_u]Angel[/name_u] had a co-worker everyone thought was amazing, and had worked for several years with several promotions, to the point of people thinking that employee would take over when the owner retired. But in a shocking controversy, it turned out that employee was secretly embezzling and was promptly fired. Nobody saw it coming yet they knew the immediate termination was the right move, although things were strange without that worker there, since so much was attributed. [name_f]Nini[/name_f] is a marine biologist and it was their dream to pursue and feels glad she’s never had to deal with the insanity of their siblings. [name_f]Nini[/name_f] is close with their siblings much like Tansy’s closeness with her sister.

Elise " Ella " Hannah & Freya " Frey " Lucy Charleston (16) are two of the students who attended a marine biology summer school Nini was involved in running. They’re the twins born to Trina and Marius Charleston, having two older sisters - Ashley and Chelsea - coming from a family with a long line of fraternal and identical twins and triplets. Ella uses she/they pronouns while Frey is referred to as they/them, being both very close to one another while firm in establishing independent identities. Although they belong to the same friendship group and are staunch environmentalists, the two belong to different school clubs and have best friends outside of each other; granted it doesn’t stop their long-running injoke about never telling anyone who’s technically the older twin [spoiler, it’s Frey]. As kids the pair loved pretending to be each other and causing all kinds of mischief, at several points conspiring to nag their parents about filling the house with pets [succeeding with rats eventually, Hunky and Dory, whose care is split as evenly between them as possible], something that drove their parents and older sisters as mad as it endeared them [and Trina swears if they did it again now, it’s more than likely they’d be able to succeed]. Their interest in water based environmental causes is something the two credit to their dad, who’d take them boating and outdoor swimming whenever possible, a pastime they absolutely adored, but it never stopped them from being close with their mom; having a protective element in how they view her thanks to the antics of a certain Bev [who’s seemingly on the verge of high school infamy thanks to her antics and mean streak].

Ella’s usually considered the quieter one of the duo, although she was the one who insisted on attending the school Nini was running, being drawn to her especially as a fellow genderfluid academic. She’s enthusiastic about alternative music - especially metal - which surprises those who don’t know her well, and goes to a lot of concerts alongside her best friend, whose sense of style fits the image a little more stereotypically. Studies are important to Ella, who’s determined to become a marine biologist, having been long enamoured with wales and turtles growing up, owning a dozen plushes of both animals which still live in her room. She’s the twin with a drivers license - freshly gained - and very much organised, always knowing what she’s going to be pursuing and how to do this, already investigating which university she’d like to attend to further her preparations for the future. If given a choice, Ella would live on the coast and visit the beach as much as possible. Her favourite family holidays always involved going there, where she’d collect shells and build sand sculptures, maybe taking things a little too seriously where her siblings were concerned but her parents found this terribly sweet. Ella’s openly pansexual and is currently dating a girl who she met through her STEM interests, belonging to a group spanning across three local schools which has led to mixing between students, resulting in her romance - which is very tentative but absolutely something Ella wants to make work.

Frey’s often the social butterfly, frequently arranging meet ups for their circle of friends and being known for their quick witted sense of humour. They belong to the school swim team - not being massively competitive but enjoying the togetherness the environment brings - and are very talented when it comes to being in the water. Future wise, Frey’s definitely less assured than Ella, opting for organised chaos, but they think they’d like to pursue animal welfare work, leaning towards marine based creatures. It doesn’t phase them being the less academic sibling, even when Ashley’s nursing degree is mentioned, as they’ve always been most proud of their strong voice and determination to remaining authentic to themselves. Frey also enjoys climbing and hiking, going on camping trips with their best friend - something they joke about her boyfriend being banned from - and recently got a weekend job at a horse riding school, something they’ve already fallen in love with. Something that surprises people, given Frey’s confidence, is how they’re fully in support of Ella’s relationship, but seeing her happy means more to them than fulfilling clichés where twins are concerned [granted certain assumptions where their dad’s job is concerned absolutely propels Frey’s confrontational streak to awaken]. They spend their free time investigating true crime stories - be it reading books or listening to podcasts - having an analytical side to their personality that’s overlooked due to their magnetic charm and love of being surrounded by people.

Azadah Noor Díaz (13) is the younger sister of Ella’s and Frey’s friend from their summer class, and used to be interested in attending Nini’s class but is now interested in modelling and wants to join the ranks with the models that surround her.

Azadah is a young girl who has gotten herself in a bit of trouble, though she fails to see it that way. Lately she has been talking to a much older guy she met on Discord, and has been acting out due to the things he has been telling her to do. She does not see it as a problem, but everyone is quite concerned. She has recently been harassing her dad to get her into modelling. People are worried because it was never something she was interested in before, and along with the other problem behaviours such as drinking and sneaking out that she’s been doing, everyone is interested as to what has gotten into her.

Azadah does not see this as a problem and thinks everyone is being overdramatic. She has always been a stubborn child, and a lonely one at that. She believes this guy is her friend only, and is oblivious to the fact that he is probably not having the best intentions. Her fellow classmates at school find it funny and cool that she is dating an older guy who’s in college, so she thinks it is okay. Azadah has not told her sister or anyone besides her friends about this guy, so no one is sure what is going on. She plans to keep it to herself, as she goes not want people to stop her fun.

Urbane Jaden Hatch (13) is the guy who really likes Azadah but feels something’s up with her. He’s not into older girls and never understood anyone’s hype in dating older people. His eldest sister Ivy is twice his age and he remembers being a young boy and she babysat him. Granted nobody parentified Ivy, she was more of a babysitter than a parental role. It’s made him understand less about what goes through their heads. Urbane attends the same school as Azadah and aces all his classes, but enjoys the classes she’s in the most. That being said he is lacking in intelligence elsewhere; he’s book smart, not street smart.

He’s done something bad, very bad — probably unforgivable. Like Azadah, he also keeps secrets from his family and none of his relatives know his big secret. But he is deep down a fool and a bad influence. Tired of feeling babied (although it’s natural given the family age differences), he wanted to know what it’s like to “feel older”. So he made a fake Discord account acting like a cool college guy. He managed to find Azadah and started chatting her up under the fake persona Brad Blake Quinton and claimed to be a college student looking for “a secret romance with a mysterious girl”. Admittingly Urbane doesn’t know what he’s doing half the time and knows nothing about what college students do. Urbane has an embarrassing search history of “what do college students do”, “majors that college students have”, “how to act like you’re in a fraternity”, and “what is freshman 15”. Almost all the bad-influence stuff he’s pretended to like are badly fabricated like, “yes I love smoking heroin” and “A joint is when you flex it because I never skip leg day”.

He didn’t expect the relationship to work this quickly even though it’s strictly only online and he would freak out of Azadah wanted to meet him in person. Now Azadah cannot do so since her family forbids her from in-person meetings from online strangers. Azadah’s friends think this is totally a real relationship and Brad is totally a real person, despite his pictures being made by AI. Nobody at all believes that Urbane is behind Brad but few people think Brad isn’t a real person. There’s a girl who Azadah finds pesky who insists that there’s no way a real college student would fall for Azadah and it’s all a lie but Azadah is crazy determined to prove the girl wrong. Truth is, the pesky gal is correct that Brad is fake, but wrong about who she thinks Brad really is, she thinks Azadah made up Brad herself to look cool. Azadah’s sister is still very unaware about anything pertaining to Brad since she is hidden from Azadah’s antics.

Deep down, Urbane had always fallen for Azadah but didn’t think he’d get her this way.

[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] [name_f]Tove[/name_f] Lindegaard (13) is the amateur sleuth causing trouble in the world [name_m]Urbane[/name_m] and Azadah have created. There’s always been a tenacity about [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f], and since beginning middle school, people have become her greatest source of fascination. She’s determined to become a psychologist - inspired by her mother, who works as a psychotherapist - and this is what’s led her to become so determined to unravel the mystery man that is [name_m]Brad[/name_m] [name_m]Quinton[/name_m]. While she doesn’t know everything about the world of college students - Ophelia’s the elder of two children and her younger sibling is only 4, as her parents moved around a long following their immigration from Birkerød, [name_m]Denmark[/name_m], and she was a surprise they gladly welcomed as they found their feet - something about [name_m]Brad[/name_m] feels very odd to [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]. He’s a little too perfect for her liking, never mind she can’t help but feel unsettled at the idea of a college kid wanting to date someone her age, and this is why she’s come to suspect Azadah herself actually invented him to come across as more mature, enviable and of status among their peers. There is something odd to [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] though, in how [name_m]Urbane[/name_m] Hatch always seems so antsy when she’s around, and she’s trying to put her finger on the cause of this discomfort too [so far she’s not been able to crack the code].

Although Azadah considers her petty and a bit vindictive for her digging - having confronted [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] once, accusing her of being jealous which was deflected but peace wasn’t achieved between them - it isn’t a place of malice that [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] comes from. She wants to uncover the truth because what frightens her more than anything is that [name_m]Brad[/name_m] could be real and having a thoroughly inappropriate, predatory relationship with one of her classmates, which a lot of her peers seem to find impressive opposed to disturbing. Unfortunately, her blunt form of honesty verges upon rude at times - or confrontational at other points - and it’s led to [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] only having a few close friends, who understand she means well in spite of seeming a bit antagonistic in how she approaches things. While she tries to soften her personality, it’s difficult, and perhaps [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] rejects it because she can’t let herself live a lie and strives to be as authentic as possible. Like [name_m]Urbane[/name_m], she’s a high achieving student who works hard for good grades, and [name_f]English[/name_f] is her favourite subject currently, given she can’t access anything psychology based.

At home, [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] enjoys reading - unsurprisingly detective stories are her absolute favourite, and she’s fond of a thriller too [the sort approved by her father, given her age] - as well as walking the family beagles [name_m]Mungo[/name_m] and Scratch, usually in her dad’s company. [name_f]Eulalia[/name_f] ’ [name_f]Lula[/name_f] ’ [name_f]Signe[/name_f] Lindegaard (4) is Ophelia’s little sister and the baby of the family, who greatly admires her older sibling and frequently asks to be read to by her - something [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] is always happy to do for [name_f]Lula[/name_f]. She’s definitely a lot shyer than her sister though, and usually hangs back at parties or social gatherings at the side of her mom. Being avid about books is definitely a family trait - their house has a huge library room constantly being added to - and Lula’s passion for painting is the only thing to rival this.

She loves watercolours the best, but also uses acrylics if she’s ran out, and tends to paint butterflies mostly, as they’re her favourite animal. However, for her dad’s birthday she made him a card depicting [name_m]Mungo[/name_m] and Scratch, although any kind of recreation intimidates her a fair bit. It does sometimes frustrate her she can’t walk the dogs by herself like her older sister can though. [name_f]Lula[/name_f] is also babysat by Azadah’s 16-year-old sister when her parents and sister are collectively busy, having a great deal of respect for the young woman too in the same vain as how she views [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f].

Savannah Victoria Díaz (16) is Azadah’s older sister and Lula’s babysitter who does not know - pretty much anything - about what her sister is getting up to. She wants to ask Ophelia, who she knows because she watches her little sister, but doesn’t want to interrogate a 13-year-old, and she has a feeling Ophelia wouldn’t tell her anyway. She loves babysitting Lula though, as she always loved children. Maybe a little too much.

Even though Savannah cares about her sister and wonders what is going on with her, she has some problems of her own. She and her boyfriend, who’s 17, are having a baby. She understands this is very irresponsible given her age and that she is yet to finish highschool, but she thinks she is mature enough for it. Her boyfriend isn’t aware that Savannah is pregnant, but she has a feeling when she tells him she succeeded he will be understanding. No one knows this is what she is planning, so it seems Azadah isn’t the only one keeping secrets.

Her and Azadah’s father - their mother left when Savannah was 11 - is very concerned as to what is going on with both his girls, especially Azadah, as she was always so open to talking to her father in her past. Savannah knows it may be unfair, but she partly blames her father for their mom leaving, so she has been slightly standoffish towards him for a while. She never told Azadah any of this, but suspects she may have picked up on it and maybe that’s why Azadah has been acting so strange lately. She has no idea what is truly going on, but knows deep down that even if she did know, she’s no role model. Considering what she’s been planning.

She’s not really the type to get into her brother’s drama and knows how unsettling his love life is. [name_f]Zara[/name_f] is single and has never married, this used to bother her but she’s now content and enjoys herself more. She has been on dates but nothing lasted long. She’s not sure if she’ll ever find love but she’s perfectly fine if love isn’t for her. Despite her age, she relates to teenage life a lot to her nieces. Admittingly the main reason why she feels this lack of confidence about being single is because of her high school reunions, so many people were married with children which made [name_f]Zara[/name_f] think. However [name_f]Zara[/name_f] does have a stable career as a nurse and enjoys this job path a lot but she’s not the type to open up on her personal life besides that. She personally never liked high school reunions, she finds it obnoxious seeing middle-aged adults try to brag about themselves and outdo each other, even more than they did in high school. Still, she’s inspired by some of her former classmates, especially the ones who weren’t successful in high school turning their lives around.

[name_f]Zara[/name_f] isn’t aware of Savannah’s pregnancy plan and while she isn’t supportive of an intentional teen pregnancy, she would want to know the child. Deep down, if she knew, she’d adopt the baby. [name_f]Savannah[/name_f] may not be willing to give up her child to [name_f]Zara[/name_f] but [name_f]Zara[/name_f] is a caring person and would let [name_f]Savannah[/name_f] see the baby as much as she could and maintain a cousin relationship with the baby. [name_f]Zara[/name_f] has never been too sure of a relationship but she’s always wanted to have a child. She was much too focused on nursing in her 20s and early 30s to have a relationship and dating since then had been difficult. Men got the wrong impression that she was single for so long without children that she didn’t want children, which strained relationships in dating because she would want kids and he would not. [name_f]Zara[/name_f] is too old now to conceive her own child and is considering adoption given that she still wants to have a child in her life. [name_u]An[/name_u] army brat, [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] also grew up with a single father, which was something that led to he and [name_f]Savannah[/name_f] becoming close when he first began attending the same high school as her - actually transferring because he opted to move in with his grandparents rather than remain on the semi-isolated base he’d come to dislike so much. Teddy’s mother left the family for another man - a huge source of contention to this very day between his maternal and paternal grandparents - affer she tired of her husband being away for extended periods, having little understanding it was the very nature of being a soldier. The pair had been high school sweethearts, and [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] was born when they were only 20, being 9 when she walked out. While his little brother - who’s just turned 13 - visits their mother during the holiday season, [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] barely sees her, unable to reconcile her betrayal and abandonment, things he hides with his projection of confidence and carefree outlook on life: traits which made him very attractive in the eyes of multiple classmates, before he asked out [name_f]Savannah[/name_f], who he’d become very close to.

In middle school and his first high school, [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] had a reputation as a player, something [name_f]Savannah[/name_f] is aware of but remains a source of concern for him. While unhealthy - and he loathes to be psychoanalysed by anyone, even his best friend who wants to become a therapist [leading to a few rows over the years when the other boys tried to offer some helpful advice] - [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] admits it’s due to associating this part of his life with his mom, and he refuses to entertain the idea of leaving any children he might have some day…a philosophy [name_f]Savannah[/name_f] knows is on the verge of being tested. Zara’s also vaguely aware of this - as her niece talks about her boyfriend semi-regularly - and an adoption offer would be contested by [name_u]Teddy[/name_u], who’s determined to avoid repeating a cycle with his own family when it comes to confusion and a sense of being unwanted. He has tried to work on forgiving his mother, but currently it’s proving a fairly fruitless exercise. What has eased their relationship is she’s no longer dating the guy who she left his dad for - it fizzled out when Teddy’s mom refused to have more children - so there isn’t the same immediate source of conflict and upset when he goes to see her, albeit remains pretty awkward [until the last few days of his visit normally, and then the cycle resets for the next time].

Another point of frustration for [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] is he doesn’t know what he wants for his future, worsened by being part of a quartet of close friends where the other 3 are very much decided - not that he’d ever hold it against them, as they’re his rocks in terms of the future and discussing his feelings. Two of them - Teddy’s best friend and another - are at the old high school he was at before moving, while the third is at the one he currently attends, and they’re in a lot of the same classes [much to the chagrin of teachers, as [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] encourages and endorses his friends class clown personality at every opportunity]. Owning his own car now - a birthday present from his dad, nana and grandad - he has dinner most nights with his brother and father before going back to his grandparents, where he’ll walk their ancient, exceptionally sweet border collie, Pringle. He absolutely adores his grandparents, who have always supported his interests, although [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] feels they’re over generous when praising his baseball skills, as he belongs to the school team. A professional career is something he won’t consider though, as the intensity is not for him by a long shot, although teaching the sport has started to appeal more and more.

[name_m]Cyrus[/name_m] [name_u]Julian[/name_u] Vaughnehan (13) is Theo’s younger brother, and keeper of a secret he isn’t entirely sure what to do with. See, when he was going to the bathroom one night when [name_f]Savannah[/name_f] was staying at their house, he noticed something sticking out the trash can. It was a pregnancy test! While he wasn’t entirely sure what it was at first, he soon realised after a bit of staring. [name_m]Cyrus[/name_m] is a nuisance, and sometimes acts like a bit of a jerk. So he doesn’t plan on telling anyone about this information, at least until he finds some way to hold this information over his brother’s head, and get him to get him something he wants - which will probably be a new pair of sneakers or something.

[name_m]Cyrus[/name_m] only told one person, and that’s his best friend. The best friend was actually the one who confirmed that this was indeed a pregnancy test, and since [name_u]Theo[/name_u] and [name_m]Cyrus[/name_m] don’t have any other siblings, he knew it had to be Savannah’s. So now [name_m]Cyrus[/name_m] and his best friend are trying to decide out what to do with his precious information.

[name_m]Cyrus[/name_m] isn’t sure what he wants to do with his life, but he has a lot of time. He doesn’t pay much attention in school, instead preferring to focus on girls. Much like his brother was when he was younger, [name_m]Cyrus[/name_m] is a bit of a player - if you can even be a “player” at his age. [name_u]Theo[/name_u] tells him to stop being stupid and just focus on more important, not wanting his brother to be like him or do what their mom did; but [name_m]Cyrus[/name_m] never listens to what his brother says.

Unlike his brother, [name_m]Cyrus[/name_m] often visits his mother and comes over to the house. He doesn’t actually really want to see her, but feels guilt-tripped by his mother and father, and doesn’t want to make his mother feel bad that both her children don’t want to see her. [name_m]Cyrus[/name_m] does have a soft side, he just never lets anyone see it, so he pretends like he wants to do these visits and that his mom leaving doesn’t secretly hurt him as well. [name_m]Cyrus[/name_m] wishes [name_u]Theo[/name_u] would come on the visits more, but he would never admit this to anyone, especially his brother.

Koi Daanas Milligan (13) is Cyrus’s best friend and fellow secret keeper. He and Cyrus are in an unofficial music duo called Swordfish although their music is admittedly bad garage band quality and their name was just based off a fish they found cool, inspired by the high school basketball team Barracudas. Cyrus actually came up with it because he said girls like guys who play music and he wants fangirls. Koi himself wouldn’t mind if the baby was put up for adoption given his own life, he is an adoptive brother of Cady and adoptive son of Pearl. He’s of indigenous Choctaw descent and was an unplanned pregnancy, adopted when his birth parents were unable to keep him. Koi’s birth parents were not teenagers and Koi can’t imagine what it would be like for teenagers to balance pregnancy into their lives. However this did help Koi confirm for Cyrus that it’s a positive pregnancy test.

Koi is the more level-headed person between him and Cyrus but he’s fully understanding of Savannah’s secret and won’t tell anyone, especially since Savannah didn’t tell Koi personally. He can’t help but feel odd that he and Cyrus know something important that Teddy doesn’t know. Cady feels Koi is acting strange over something but Koi’s told her it’s not about him, without saying what it is. Cady isn’t so sure if she believes that, even if it’s true, especially since Koi has been hiding a secret crush on a girl in gym class. Cyrus knows about the crush and stopped flirting with the girl after realising Koi likes her, but still has many crushes on other girls. The only person who Koi has directly told his secret crush was his second cousin Porter, who also has a secret crush on a girl in his grade, although Jess also has cracked that Koi likes a girl. The thing that baffles Koi the most about the secret pregnancy is when Teddy will find out…

She wasn’t that interested in [name_m]Cyrus[/name_m] when he began flirting with her but did enjoy the game of it, even if she never saw anything deeper beyond what words were exchanged. Lucy’s considered very mature among her peers as she’s dated one boy. The relationship ended when he moved to [name_m]Fort[/name_m] [name_m]Myers[/name_m] a year ago, and while they have continued speaking on the phone, they’re now just back to being friends, which Lucy’s more than happy with. It wasn’t serious - even by the standards of 12 year olds - but she does find companionship very important

Arguably, Lucy’s influenced by her own parents. They’re very much in love and have a devoted relationship, the kind of bond [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] wishes to emulate someday, but she’s not too crazy about pursuing it in a serious capacity. What [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] wants is to become a nurse, something that surprises people as she isn’t from a medical family - her dad’s a professor of archaeology, her mom’s the PA to a local high-flying attorney - but she has a very compassionate spirit, and wishes to help people.

Her interest was sparked following the birth of her youngest brother, who required medical treatment due to complications in the labour process, and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] saw how the actions of the nurses helped lift her parents spirits so much, prompting her to want to follow in their footsteps. As the eldest of 4, she has played caregiver when her younger sister and brothers have been unwell, mostly to give their parents a break, in the form of taking food and drinks to them. Lucy’s currently receiving maths tutoring from the girl Porter’s infatuated with, which is something [name_u]Jess[/name_u] absolutely intends on using to the advantage of both her brother and cousin.

[name_m]Alfred[/name_m] “ [name_m]Alf[/name_m] ” [name_u]Saylor[/name_u] Monkton (6 weeks) is Lucy’s youngest sibling and the youngest Monkton. He was an early birth by barely over a month, which his mother didn’t know would happen when she was first pregnant due to this not occurring with her other children. [name_m]Alf[/name_m] had to have extra monitoring in the hospital before being taken home so despite being 6 weeks, he feels like a newborn to the family, but it’s made them all the more excited to finally meet him! Both [name_m]Alf[/name_m] and his mother are doing just fine now health-wise but he’s expected to have some delays developmentally. His mother believes [name_m]Alf[/name_m] will be her last child given the complications but she’s grateful to be able to have 4 wonderful children. [name_m]Alf[/name_m] is usually asleep but the family loves seeing him when he’s awake and lively, even if what he does is babble most of the time. Most people outside the family haven’t met [name_m]Alf[/name_m] with the exception of Lucy’s tutor and [name_u]Jess[/name_u].
