🕊️ create a family w/ a twist

[name_f]Sienna[/name_f] Muhaini [name_m]Tan[/name_m] (25) is a good friend of [name_m]Ky[/name_m] and [name_m]Ike[/name_m], and is trying to set up [name_f]Maude[/name_f]. She’s also great friends with [name_f]Luna[/name_f], who was much younger than her. When the two were little girls, [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] would give [name_f]Luna[/name_f] advice on how to survive school. [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] was an only child- her parents are strictly conservative Malaysian emigrants who love her very much, but have a hard time letting go of their restricting beliefs sometimes- though they’ve tried to be more accepting and aware of others for Sienna’s own sake. [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] is fluent in both [name_f]English[/name_f] and Malay, and will often speak in code with her parents. [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] has always been a bold person- one time, an old woman in a wheelchair walked up to 7-year-old [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] and her mom talking in the supermarket in Malaysian and said “this is [name_u]America[/name_u], why don’t you speak English.” [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] coolly replied with a “you have legs, why don’t you walk-“ the woman rolled away, looking a bit ashamed. Sienna’s mother was proud, but warned her not to say anything that could get her in trouble- but [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] never stopped speaking her mind whenever possible. In middle school, she joined an activism club and helped ban the sexist and racist dress code. She made some friends too, which made her really happy. She actually met [name_m]Ky[/name_m] and [name_m]Ike[/name_m] through her parents, who were good friends with theirs.

[name_f]Sienna[/name_f] had a generally good relationship with her mom until she entered freshman year/ninth grade- she hated school and her grades began to drop. [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] also realized she was bi- she’d had crushes on men before, but this was new. There was a new girl in the activism class, and [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] began falling head over heels for her. Her mother and father were very conservative people and as far as they believed, love was between a man and a woman. [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] wore a pink purple and blue pin to class one day, and nearly died when her parents asked what it was- [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] just replied nonchalantly that she loved the colors and they dropped it. All was well and good until her toxic friend told the whole grade, and her parents were both notified by a teacher. [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] was reprimanded, but her parents realized how much they were killing their daughter- they came into her room late at night, gave her a hug and told her they’d always support her, and that she was their daughter no matter what. To this day, [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] loves her parents more than anything on this earth.

[name_f]Sienna[/name_f] confessed to her crush in sophomore year. Unfortunately, the object of Sienna’s affections did not reciprocate her feelings as she was a straight woman, but the two remained friends and still are- this woman is now Sienna’s daughter’s godmother. [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] went to music college pretty far away from her parents, which at first she felt uncomfortable with, but soon enough she loosened up. She met a man who was in her chemistry class and the two had a relationship for a while- they even had a daughter together, which made Sienna’s parents even angrier- they were practically fuming when they heard she was pregnant at 19 years old. But as always they came around, and they now love their little granddaughter. Some friends encouraged [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] to quit college to raise her baby but [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] was determined to get an education and care for her daughter, which she did. Her and the boy broke up two years later but they’re still friends now, and this boy is actually married to her high school crush. [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] is currently married too- to a woman she met at her daughter’s day care center. The two both had children in college, and they’re head over heels for each other- Sienna’s daughter loves her new stepbrother and is obsessed with him, as he’s a year younger and she loves caring for him.

As for [name_f]Sienna[/name_f], she’s doing very well as a successful SoundCloud artist and wouldn’t trade it for the world- she’s recorded all sorts of songs and knows that music is her passion. She’s actually trying to spread activist messages through her songs, and create inclusive music that everyone can relate to. Her daughter and new stepson love dancing to her music. [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] has actually began to earn SoundCloud revenue as she’s becoming more popular. Her wife works in an office job which she hates but she’s planning on leaving once [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] gets a raise with her side job- she’s a retailer, with her high school crush (who also works there, but has a full time job as a model). Right now, [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] is dedicated to her children and her wife, who she lovingly refers to as her muse.

Description: Ivy Louise Hatch (26) Sienna’s best friend and the first girl crush Sienna had back in the 9th grade, she is also the godmother of Sienna’s child. Ivy didn’t know about Sienna’s crush on her at the time, as she was dating someone and was generally unaware. But seeing as Sienna had told Ivy she was bisexual awhile back, Ivy wasn’t exactly surprised after she was told. She felt pretty bad, but she had to tell Ivy she didn’t return her feelings. Luckily the two stayed close, and Ivy comforted Sienna during the time Sienna was fighting with her parents about her sexuality.

Ivy is the oldest of 4 children, all considerably younger than her. This made Ivy often have to be the caretaker to her younger siblings as their parents were often busy with work. Ivy didn’t mind this though, and she was glad to help out. And it made her really like caring for children, so she started going to school to be a daycare teacher and working in a daycare where Sienna later sent her daughter. Sienna met her now wife there and Ivy helped get them together.

Ivy loves kids, and currently has a fiance with whom she has been trying to get pregnant with. But it has turned out recently that Ivy is infertile, and any child she conceives will more than likely miscarriage. This was horrible news to both of them, as both her and her fiance really do want a big family. They had two miscarriages before they decided it just wasn’t for them. The couple fought for a while on this and almost broke off the engagement, but had gone to couples counseling and worked it out, and are now trying to go through the process of adopting, but they know this could take awhile. For now they care for their 2 dog babies, both Dachshunds named Ravioli and Meatball. Ivy also helps out with Sienna’s daughter, and feels as though she is her own child, but of course never oversteps her actual parents.

(Hi lol, I’m just going to try and join but feel free to ignore me if you want, sorry if the character isn’t great lol)

[name_u]Chris[/name_u] [name_u]Kodiak[/name_u] [name_m]Johnson[/name_m] (27) is Ivy’s fiancé. He coaches the local high school’s basketball team and is a freelance writer. [name_u]Chris[/name_u] is an only child and has always wanted a big family. He was of course disappointed to learn that they wouldn’t be able to but regrets the arguing that happened as a result. [name_u]Chris[/name_u] is excited that they have decided to adopt and looks forward to it even if it will take a while.

The basketball championships are coming up soon and [name_u]Chris[/name_u] is stoked that ‘his boys’ made it. [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] has promised to come and [name_u]Chris[/name_u] hopes they’ll win but is just proud that the team has come this far. Aside from basketball and writing, brush lettering is a surprising hobby of his. He’s trying to teach [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] and enjoys leaving her little notes around the house to brighten up her day.

[name_u]Chris[/name_u] finds brush lettering extremely relaxing and has actually suggested it to the boys on the team to help them when they’re feeling stressed. There were some skeptical looks and more than a few jokes but a lot of them have actually started and tell [name_u]Chris[/name_u] that its helped quite a bit.

(Welcome! Your character is awesome, I hope you’ll enjoy this game)

Warning for stillbirth and fatal birth defects.

Otis Cobalt [left] and Carly Silver [right] Hawthorn (26) are Chris’s two best friends he’s known since middle school. Carly is pansexual and currently married to Sienna and has a son from a previous relationship. Both of them are huge supporters of Chris’s motivational coaching and both have experience playing basketball in high school too — and Carly played on the boys’ team. Otis currently works at a breakfast restaurant called Six and Twelve which is named for its opening at 6am and closing at 12pm. It’s famous for its biannual “Restaurant Days” on 12th of June and 6th of December where meals are half off. Carly is more of a night owl than an early bird but has never missed a Restaurant Day. She’s almost did last June when she came in when the restaurant was closing but Otis served her anyway and let her have the deal. Interestingly she got her meal at 12:06. Otis may be the early bird but when Carly invited him to visit her workplace at the observatory during the night, he didn’t hesitate and enjoyed it. However for friends like Chris, they’ll enjoy any event he has planned anytime. Otis and Carly are going to watch the boys at Chris‘s team play at the championships and are proud of Chris and the team.

Despite being very close siblings with the same birthdate, the two don’t address themselves as twins and only go along with it when other people ask or refer them as “twins”. The reason why is because they were actually born in a set of quadruplets. Unfortunately one of their quadruplet sisters was stillborn while their other quadruplet brother was very sickly due to birth defects and would eventually die at age 3. The two remaining quads Otis and Carly were closely monitored at the hospital for some time after their births but have since thrived and are healthier than ever. They sympathise with Ivy over this and have supported her and Chris through their decision to adopt. Both have known Chris longer than Ivy but support them both equally and find them a great couple.

Carly doesn’t feel jealous that Sienna used to fall for Ivy because she knows Sienna is with her now and Ivy is with Chris. Carly and Sienna like to have movie nights and Carly likes to pick the mushiest gushiest sappiest movies — but not for the reason typical couples do. Carly and Otis have always hated sappy romance movies but both like watching them just to make fun of them. Sienna is the only person Carly has ever dated who also enjoys doing this, everyone else Carly’s dated thinks she’s weird for doing this or can’t take a joke and gets mad when she mocks the movies. As for Otis, he’s single and people would be surprised to know he used to be a brief love interest for Lainey’s older sister. Two years ago, he and Lainey’s older sister were a couple but Otis admits it wasn’t very memorable. It lasted four dates on four weeks, most of the activities were “night owl activities”, and didn’t get farther than kisses on the cheek. And forget introducing him to her family. She’s got a chip on her shoulder about her family and Lainey still doesn’t know what her deal is. Otis knows he’s not the only person she’s dated and knows she’s dated other men after him but doesn’t quite know her love life. Otis supports Lainey however and wished her the best on her engagement. He and Carly played basketball with her fiancé on the same team in high school.

[name_f]Melodie[/name_f] [name_f]Tara[/name_f] [name_u]Carlisle[/name_u] (31) is Otis’s’ former brief girlfriend and the older sister of [name_f]Lainey[/name_f], [name_f]Brynn[/name_f], [name_u]James[/name_u] and [name_m]Fosse[/name_m], who’s notably distant from the other four siblings. Working as a marketing manager for a successful ethical clothing company, she’s someone practically married to her job now, and several of her colleagues suspect she’s going to be offered an even higher position soon thanks to how much time, effort and energy she’s put into her performance. This has intensified since Lainey’s engagement, and the cynicism [name_f]Melodie[/name_f] views her nuptials with: an opinion she never shies away from voicing.

Due to their closeness in age, [name_u]James[/name_u] has the best memories of when Melodie’s personality became much more combative - as while she was never particularly close with [name_f]Lainey[/name_f], the two didn’t really start disagreeing so much until they were older. When she was in her early 20s, specifically just before she graduated college, [name_f]Melodie[/name_f] became pregnant in the early stages of her relationship with a guy she thought was ‘The One’. In her third trimester though, and before she revealed the news to her family, [name_f]Melodie[/name_f] suffered a miscarriage, something that devastated her so much she kept the entire series of events secret, not even confiding in her mother - who she loves dearly .

In the aftermath of this traumatic incident, things worsened for [name_f]Melodie[/name_f], as the father of the child she lost broke up with her because he felt she wasn’t ‘getting over it quick enough’ (the exact phrase he used when confronting her about the way she was emotionally shutting down). The frustration she’s buried since this day has finally started to boil over in the wake of Lainey’s engagement, as the quickness reminds her of the whirlwind progression of Melodie’s time with her ex, and part of her admits she projects onto Lainey’s fiance because of what she’s never felt able to admit. As the oldest, part of her still insists on protecting her little siblings, even if it’s to her own detriment.

(cw: manipulative type behavior)
Beverly Jean Quitman ‘Bev’ (40) is Melodie’s coworker and considers herself to be a rival of Melodie. Bev is jealous of Melodie because of the talk that she’s going to be offered a higher position, and despite not putting in nearly the same amount of effort as Melodie, Bev still believes that position should go to her. She has tried to ruin Melodie’s reputation by talking bad about her to the people working for their company, trying to find any dirt she can on the woman to spoil any chance she may have of getting the position. Bev has been watching Melodie, and is aware she is going through something, though she doesn’t know what. No matter what it is though, Bev plans to find out and use it to her advantage by twisting it to make Melodie look bad. She has a way of doing that, and Bev is confident she can get what she wants without anyone suspecting her of anything bad.

People close to Bev, such as her husband and two teenage sons, consider her to be extremely childish and petulant, due to her nature of trying to take what is “rightfully hers”, despite doing absolutely nothing to deserve such things. She is manipulative and will do what it takes to get what wants, with little regard to people’s feelings. She married her husband not because she loved him, but because he was wealthy and considerably attractive, and would give her a good look in the eyes of others, so they had two children and Bev now rules the household with an iron fist, not letting anyone “disrespect” her. She controls her children and husband, regulating who her children talk to and date as well as making her husband do whatever she pleases. Bev has two sisters who have no contact with her whatsoever, having cut her off when Bev did too many things for them to let slide. Bev doesn’t care, though, as in her eyes she still has the upper hand, and is winning in life without having to put in any extra work. People may not like her, but she knows they fear her, and will give her whatever she desires, and that’s enough for her.

(wanted to do something wacky, hope this isn’t bad.)

Warning for public shaming.

[name_m]Wilbur[/name_m] " [name_m]Wil[/name_m] " [name_u]Beck[/name_u] Quitman (17) is one of Bev’s teenage sons. Despite his rich father, [name_m]Wil[/name_m] doesn’t even have a car even though he has a licence. However [name_f]Bev[/name_f] and her husband compromised by letting [name_m]Wil[/name_m] get a car if he keeps his grades up all year. He doesn’t even have his own phone, the family shares one computer and iPad and time and browsing is limited. [name_m]Wil[/name_m] attempted to circumvent this when he was 15 by secretly making a private Instagram and blocking his mother. His mother caught on when she saw him taking a picture of himself in just swim trunks at the pool standing next to a girl. She yelled at him for his “lewd” picture and made him hold a sign that said “I TAKE INAPPROPRIATE PICTURES FOR GIRLS” and posted it on Facebook, then had [name_m]Wil[/name_m] stand outside a busy part of town holding the same sign to shame him. The shaming stopped after just a few minutes, not because he was humiliated but because people walking by mistook the sign as a juvenile male sexting a juvenile female and were going to call the police. When [name_f]Bev[/name_f] showed them the picture, they were quite baffled. He was wearing swim trunks at the pool and his pose with the girl wasn’t racy, they were just doing the peace sign. [name_f]Bev[/name_f] insisted it was tough love but even her husband questioned it. “You really shamed and embarrassed your son over a pool picture with a girl who’s probably just a friend of his?” he asked but [name_f]Bev[/name_f] didn’t feel bad.

[name_m]Wil[/name_m] was truly mortified and had a hard time at school for it for a few weeks but there was an activity he loved and still does now. His main form of socialising was talking to children in school and he felt like doing a sport, so he took up basketball. That’s where he met his coach [name_u]Chris[/name_u], who was the nicest and coolest coach of the team. He was happy to be on the team and played the next two years. Now at 17, [name_m]Wil[/name_m] could not be more excited. He had a goal to make the championships and now his big goal is winning. [name_m]Wil[/name_m] is a tremendously great player and [name_u]Chris[/name_u] is proud of him. [name_m]Even[/name_m] [name_f]Bev[/name_f] supports his career but knows it’s mainly because [name_m]Wil[/name_m] is so good, he’s offered scholarships. The only problem is that Wil’s best basketball friend is the son of a co-worker she hates and belittles. [name_f]Bev[/name_f] has even tried to get [name_u]Chris[/name_u] to take him off the team but [name_u]Chris[/name_u] declined. This other boy is not as good as [name_m]Wil[/name_m] and hasn’t gotten as many scholarships but if he and the team win the championship, then he will definitely be offered. [name_f]Bev[/name_f] hates seeing her co-worker excited about her son potentially getting to a great university and doesn’t want her co-worker happy. While [name_f]Bev[/name_f] hates losing, she has a plan that [name_m]Wil[/name_m] says he’s agreed to but isn’t sure if he’ll necessarily do it. [name_f]Bev[/name_f] says she won’t give him the car despite [name_m]Wil[/name_m] keeping his grades up as “punishment” for his friendship but she will change her mind and still get him the car on one condition: [name_m]Wil[/name_m] has to throw the championship game. He has to make sure his team loses and cannot tell anyone of this plan. That way, the son of Bev’s co-worker can’t get a scholarship to his dream university while knowing [name_m]Wil[/name_m] still can, since he’s already been offered. [name_m]Wil[/name_m] had agreed out of fear and thought maybe he’ll just not throw or that maybe a teammate of his will be lucky and skilled enough to win anyway but [name_f]Bev[/name_f] warned him that the team must lose no matter what.

Corey Reginald Quitman (42) is Bev’s husband and Wil and his other son’s father. Corey met Bev at a party and was intrigued by her and the way she seemed to pull everyone towards her and the room seemed to be very interested in what she was saying. Corey wasn’t really one to get into such things, but he found himself drawn to Bev. He introduced himself, and they got to talking. While Bev didn’t seem very interested in him at first, she seemed to perk up when she found out he was the son of the man who ran a huge corporation and Corey was set to inherit his father’s money and take over.

Corey wishes he saw the signs sooner, but Corey and Bev shortly got married after they had met, and Bev’s behavior got more controlling as time went on. But Corey didn’t want to leave Bev, because they were already married, and she made it seem like she absolutely needed him or she’d be destroyed. And Corey still liked her, it wasn’t always bad, she just had her moments. So he stayed with her, and one thing led to another and now they have two children and Corey isn’t exactly happy with the marriage anymore, but doesn’t want to leave until his children move out.

Corey doesn’t agree with many of the things Bev does and wishes she would relax and let their sons do what they want to do and not try to control everything, but he doesn’t say much to contradict her. He is always supportive of his children and tries to stick up for them when Bev’s behavior gets out of hand, but it’s kind of an unspoken rule within the family that no one questions Bev too much, because quite frankly all hell will break loose. Corey told Wil that even if he doesn’t throw the competition, he will still get his son a car as promised, even if Bev kills him over it.

Corey has met a woman within his job that he’s been talking to here and there, which he tries to keep Bev from finding out about. It isn’t anything major, but he likes being around this new woman as she provides a sense of comfort. Bev has a tendency to look through his phone during one of her ‘episodes’ as the kids call it, so Corey has been trying to keep it private, because he knows Bev will freak out if he even mentions he’s talking to another woman.

[name_m]Seymour[/name_m] " [name_m]Sy[/name_m] " [name_m]Drake[/name_m] Quitman (16) is [name_u]Corey[/name_u] and Bev’s second son and Wil’s younger brother. Sometimes [name_m]Sy[/name_m] is able to slip under the radar that is his mother’s intense scrutiny - the basketball scholarship situation has become her favourite project after all - but it’s still very clear she’s keeping an eye on everything he gets up to. As the more academically interested brother, [name_m]Sy[/name_m] knows his mom expects a lot of him with university on the horizon, and ever since he developed an interest in studying economics, her tendency to use him as a bragging point has only increased by tenfold. [name_m]Sy[/name_m] is hoping he’ll be able to study somewhere with good distance between him and his mother, as he knows if he’s too close to home she’ll begin planning unannounced visits (‘surprises’ as [name_f]Bev[/name_f] calls them), just to make sure he’s abiding by her strict rules and not going against whatever plans she’s made her mind up about.

It’s [name_m]Sy[/name_m] who ended up losing a relationship because of her antics, something that’s caused even more tension to build up in the household, as he tries to hold his tongue and not let his mom know what he feels about that situation. [name_m]Sy[/name_m] began dating a girl [name_f]Bev[/name_f] initially approved of - she had a good reputation, successful parents, excellent grades - but when she began convincing him to look for more independence (namely by sending him notes, due to the shared technology rule in the Quitman household), this approval instantly disappeared, and [name_m]Sy[/name_m] ended things before his mother repeated what he calls: The Pool Incident - and everyone knows what that refers to. He still sees his ex around school, they even both belong to the school paper, and it’s incredibly obvious they want to get back together - so much so one of Sy’s close friends offered to give him an old phone of his to restart contact with her - but the risk of [name_f]Bev[/name_f] is too much as far as her son’s concerned and he doesn’t want to see anyone else getting hurt by her behaviour.

Currently unaware of the basketball plot, [name_m]Sy[/name_m] has noticed his dad’s been acting differently recently, and part of him has considered snooping a little. In part it’s because of how limited his life outside of schoolwork is at home - his mom does grant some freedoms so [name_m]Sy[/name_m] can complete his paper articles but nothing you could call generous - but the new coping mechanism he’s developed isn’t one his younger son’s oblivious to. [name_f]Bev[/name_f] also critiques Sy’s use of sarcasm frequently, maybe because it’s often directed at her when she’s being unreasonable (surprise surprise), and insists she’s going to find out which of his friend’s has taught him it, but this is thankfully half-hearted, as [name_m]Sy[/name_m] goes to great lengths to ensure she doesn’t know much about anyone he’s close with; namely as he couldn’t bare to loose the people who support him through the trials of her behaviour.

tw: brief mention of cancer

[name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Raquel[/name_f] [name_m]Wolfe[/name_m] (16) is Sy’s ex. She knows why he had to break up with her but it still hurts and she wishes they could get back together. They were friends before beginning to date and she’s the reason he so frequently uses sarcasm as she considers it her second language. [name_f]Emma[/name_f] is the youngest of four kids, the oldest being seven years older than her. Her mom owns a successful bakery and is also the daughter of a [name_m]Senator[/name_m] while her dad is a surgeon which [name_f]Emma[/name_f] assumes is why [name_f]Bev[/name_f] approved of her. She is quite popular in school with both her teachers and the students and is a journalist in the school paper.

Her parents are very involved in multiple charities, including one for kids with cancer since one of their children has cancer when they were younger. Emma’s family has adopted and fostered quite a few cats since their marriage and [name_f]Emma[/name_f] loved that. The Wolfes have recently adopted an adorable cat who’s a year old. [name_f]Emma[/name_f] named her [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] and this time it’s her cat. All the other cats seemed to like one of or all of her siblings better than her but this time the cat has attached herself to [name_f]Emma[/name_f] and she’s happy about that.

[name_f]Emma[/name_f] hasn’t quite decided what to do with her life yet. She’s thinking about a career in journalism or working at and eventually running her mom’s bakery but is torn between the two at the moment. [name_f]Emma[/name_f] is closest to her second oldest sibling and the two often go swimming or hiking together. She makes him taste all the recipes she bakes as he’s almost brutally honest and she likes that. In turn, she lets him take pictures of her to practice his photography. And to be honest, neither of them feel that what they have to do is burdensome.

Uncensored warning for cancer.

[name_u]Shane[/name_u] [name_m]Mario[/name_m] [name_m]Wolfe[/name_m] (17) is the second-youngest [name_m]Wolfe[/name_m] sibling and is also a member of Chris’s basketball team, the Barracudas. He’s the only blond of his siblings which he adores and he loves his long hair and doesn’t care if he has to tie it back when playing basketball and couldn’t care less if people think he’s a girl. He is a leukemia survivor and admits he wasn’t super positive when he was diagnosed at 6. He just wanted to be a kid and not always have cancer on the forefront of his mind, but couldn’t escape it — it was inside him. [name_m]Even[/name_m] when he beat it, he wasn’t super enthusiastic: he just wanted everyone to stop talking about it and for him to truly feel recovered and move on. His status of being a cancer survivor was something he’s gradually went on to accept for years and only now does he actually feel proud of himself and not have any more resentment. He’s proud of his parents for bearing with him despite all the resentment he’s had about his illness and they tell him not to be sorry — he’s a champion. [name_u]Shane[/name_u] is grateful his parents are paying it forward with their charitable contributions and he’s joining them and planning to work for the same charity. Some people think he grows his hair out to make people think he never went through cancer but ironically, he’s growing it out to get it cut short so it can be donated into a wig for other children with cancer!

[name_u]Shane[/name_u] and [name_f]Emma[/name_f] are great siblings and he hopes deep down that she and [name_m]Sy[/name_m] get back together. [name_u]Shane[/name_u] knows the Quitman brothers well and wishes [name_f]Bev[/name_f] wasn’t so harsh. He doesn’t know that [name_f]Bev[/name_f] wants [name_m]Wil[/name_m] to throw the championship game but notices that [name_m]Wil[/name_m] has been very nervous whenever he talks about it with [name_m]Wil[/name_m]. [name_u]Shane[/name_u] has told [name_m]Wil[/name_m] that he’s an all-star and he’s worked so hard for this and that everyone on the team gave it their all to get this far and they’re going to do it again to make sure that they win. [name_m]Wil[/name_m] himself has reconsidered the decision to throw but won’t tell [name_f]Bev[/name_f] especially now because he feels if he gets caught throwing, he would have the ire of his team and even have his scholarship rescinded. He doesn’t want to cause a huge scandal. And [name_m]Sy[/name_m] doesn’t want to cut [name_f]Emma[/name_f] out of his life forever. They may be Quitmans but the brothers shouldn’t be quitting. The [name_m]Wolfe[/name_m] family is very fortunate to be right-knit and appreciative of each other and [name_u]Shane[/name_u] himself has been getting in on the fun of taste-testing the recipes with [name_f]Emma[/name_f] and their older brother.

Dallas Owen Wolfe (19) is the second oldest sibling of the Wolfe family. He is close with Emma and they go swimming and hiking where Dallas takes pictures for his photography class in school. He also tests out Emma’s baked goods with Shane and he admits they are pretty good. His photography focuses on the human experience so he tries to get good shots of people in their natural form and he sometimes takes shots of Emma’s food as well.

Dallas was diagnosed with autism when he was 4 years old after his parents saw some signs in him when he wasn’t responding to his name and didn’t seem interested in the other children, as well as some other autistic traits. A lot of kids in his school found him weird and would pick on him, but his siblings were always there to stand up for him and let him know he may be a bit different but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Dallas is proud of his autism now and doesn’t let anyone bring him down or make him feel lesser because of it.

As well as donating to charities for cancer research his parents and the rest of the siblings would sometimes go on autism marches but they’ve stopped this because Dallas no longer wanted to go. Dallas’s main passion is photography and he is inspired by a lot of photographers and has a lot of his work on his wall as he takes photos of nature and people and he tries to capture the good in the world. Dallas is a funny guy and people usually enjoy being around him due to his naturally friendly persona and he’s kind of hilarious even without trying to be.

Despite being a bit older Dallas sometimes hangs out with Shane and Wil so he’s familiar with the Quitman’s and their family dynamic and feels bad for Wil and Sy because he knows their mother can be harsh and quite frankly she rubs Dallas the wrong way. He hopes Sy and Emma get back together, and while he doesn’t know the entire situation he hopes things work out for the Quitmans.

I might delete [name_u]Dallas[/name_u] bc I have a really funny idea but I think I’ll wait to see if I can make it work depending on who posts next lmao

No no, keep Dallas. We love Dallas. This is a Dallas stanfan account.

Ishi [occasionally known as Ivy] Miyawaki (22) is a fellow graduate of the school Dallas attended and is newly dating Dallas’s oldest brother, despite the crazy and embarrassing nightmare he recently had. Like Dallas, Ishi loves photography. Her youngest sister is Haru and she’s close with her family. She went by the English name Ivy for some time and met a fellow girl named Ivy at a McDonalds when she was 5 and Ivy Hatch was 8 and was basically best friends with that girl for the day. She never thought she’d reunite with the girl but she and Ivy would eventually do so with “the power of Ivy”. However now Ishi mainly goes by her real name of Ishi and only Ivy Hatch can call her Ivy, a strange but special bond. Ivy doesn’t know the Quitmans as much but she is one of the younger co-workers of Bev and despises how Bev treats her co-workers, let alone her family. The Wolfe family is definitely a family she’s close to and while she and the eldest Wolfe sibling have only started dating recently, she’s nothing but happy to be with him.

Clayton Joshua “Clay” Wolfe (23) is the oldest sibling of the family and is also Ishi’s (who’s also Ivy #2) boyfriend. He recently had a terrifying dream that made him very uncomfortable and made it difficult to look at the Quitman siblings and their family the same. Specifically Beverly Quitman. He dreamed that he was making out with Beverly and they were getting quite into it, and the horrifying part was he wasn’t hating it? Well, that was in the dream, because as soon as Clay woke up he was horrified to see that he was hugging his body pillow and he didn’t know what to make of that dream at all. He didn’t tell any of the Quitmans this as that would obviously make things weird, he did tell Ishi though as he thought it would be funny for them to joke about.

What made the dream so weird was that Clay hardly even knows the Quitmans, only meeting them on occasion through Ishi and the original Ivy who knows them through her fiance Chris. The whole thing was very weird. Besides the weird Quitman dream Clay enjoys reading books about history and was a history major in college. He knows a lot about history and wants to teach highschool students about history.

The Wolfe family’s father is familiar with Corey Quitman because they work in a similar field, so that’s another way the families are all connected.

[name_u]Sable[/name_u] [name_f]Emily[/name_f] Warrinder (23) is someone Clay’s especially eager to keep ignorant of his recent dream: she is one of his fellow history graduates and has agreed to help him apply to getting his teaching application going. Warm isn’t something you could ever call [name_u]Sable[/name_u], she’s a distinctly no-nonsense person who can seem a bit impatient and strict at the best of times, but she’s very sincere in everything she does; in spite of not winning any prizes for charisma. Those who know [name_u]Sable[/name_u] better attribute her demeanour to the household she grew up in - it wasn’t necessarily unhappy but she witnessed a lot of tensions between her father and grandfather, after bankruptcy following a failrd business start up forced her dad to move back home, and there was a distinctly critical element to all of their interactions. While her mom protected [name_u]Sable[/name_u] from the worst arguments - and she’s someone the young academic loves unconditionally for how warm, gentle and encouraging she’s always been - it wasn’t something she could exactly ignore thanks to how the tension crept in at any given moment between the two men.

Curation is what [name_u]Sable[/name_u] wants to work in and right now she’s working as an assistant at a local museum, an environment in which she’s thrived. Being non public facing is something she openly admits suits her best, but when talking about history there’s a much more engaging side to her, thanks to how much passion she has for the subject matter. She has an appreciation for overlooked eras and dismissed figures of influence, although specialising is something she hasn’t quite mastered yet, which is what steered her away from applying for a bachelor’s degree. It’s never phased [name_u]Sable[/name_u] how her brother - who prefers they/he pronouns - insists she chose the most boring thing to study, but they’re close for all their differences, partly because she used to defend them at school whenever they were getting flack for being nonconformist.

Outside of her academics and work, [name_u]Sable[/name_u] spends a lot of her time volunteering at a rescue shelter close to the apartment she lives in with her oldest friend, having a dog and a cat between them. Unsurprisingly, she’s the cat owner - a very crafty and affectionate tortoiseshell named [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] - but her love of dogs has grown through working with them and her best friends pup has definitely helped with this. [name_u]Sable[/name_u] also is very into motorbikes and owns one, but doesn’t belong to any clubs as she doesn’t have the time or patience for displays of machismo often associated; instead going for rides as a means of clearing her head - and sometimes her friends go on the back since she’s gained the license rights to do that. She also has a surprising sweet tooth and any time she visits her parents her mom will have some confection for her to take back, although Sable’s started to begin baking again herself - concentrating more on vegan creations though, thanks to her roommate following this diet for ethical reasons.

[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] “Lena” Linville-Warrinder (46) is Sable’s mother, and her opposite in almost everything. [name_f]Lena[/name_f] is gentle and kind and would hardly ever speak a cruel word, but that does not mean she is not strong. [name_f]Lena[/name_f] is a very patient person, and stuck with Sable’s father through all sorts of financial worries.

[name_f]Lena[/name_f] wanted all of her children to have a childhood as idyllic as her own. [name_f]Lena[/name_f] was born as an only child into a rich family - her father was a businessman and her mother was a socialite. This left [name_f]Lena[/name_f] a small fortune, but most of her parents money went to her cousin, who inherited the business. When she got married to Sable’s dad, she was sure that he wasn’t marrying her for her money. She used her inheritance to buy herself a studio - [name_f]Lena[/name_f] is a keen painter and attended art school. She saved the rest of the money for her children’s future, and was determined that the money be used only for them. When her husband’s business began to lose money, he begged [name_f]Lena[/name_f] to give him her savings to salvage the business, but she refused, insisting that the money was for the children and the children only.
[name_f]Lena[/name_f] did her best to keep the children protected from the family struggles, even though it took its toll on her too. Lena’s relationship with her husband has been rocky for many years, and seemed to be tipping towards divorce on multiple occasions, but they always seemed to get through it. This is not helped by the fact that her husband’s parents dislike her greatly, and often insult her and by publicly saying that their son marrying her was a mistake.

[name_f]Lena[/name_f] currently has an exhibition in a local gallery of her work, which she is extremely proud of. She works very hard at her art, even some of her in-laws tell her that she should get a ‘real job.’ She is delighted that [name_u]Sable[/name_u] has found her path in life, and [name_f]Lena[/name_f] will support her no matter what - and she hopes that all of her children will feel like they have found their purpose. [name_f]Lena[/name_f] has a menagerie of animals, all named after famous artists - four rescue dogs, (Raphael, Rossetti, [name_m]Leonardo[/name_m] and Caravaggio) three cats, (Frida, [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] and Bridget) as well as a cow named [name_f]Monet[/name_f], a horse named [name_m]Michelangelo[/name_m] and a goat named [name_m]Vincent[/name_m]. In her free time, she loves to bake and is famous for her toffee recipe - a secret recipe that she knows off by heart.

Benedict Joseph “Ben” (48) Warrinder is Lena’s husband and Sable and her siblings’ father. Sable most likely got her no-nonsense attitude from her father, as he was the same way with her and the children when they were growing up. He didn’t listen to their sob story when it came to unimportant things like when they didn’t get the color popsicle they desired or they were crying because their cookie was broken. Lena was the type of parent to validate all their emotions and do breathing exercises, while Ben was more the type to joke and tell them to suck it up, but he was there when the situation was serious such as when Sable got in an accident and got a head injury and Ben tried to calm her as they went to the hospital.

As regards to the business, Ben was feeling a lot of pressure at the time due to the fallout and his workers were dropping like flies and he was stressed. His father is the same as him, but a lot crueler, and as a kid would verbally abuse him and wasn’t much kinder when he grew up, calling his son a failure and said he needed to get it together. He was under a lot of pressure to make it work and provide for his family like the ‘man of the house’ was always expected to, and that’s why he was asking for the money from the children’s funds for the business, though he definitely regrets it now and is glad Lena told him no. He lets Lena know he does not think marrying her was a mistake, and does attempt to stick up for her, but the truth is he’s scared of his father and his scrutinizing words. He is thankful Lena understands and that they managed to stay together through all their struggles, and are now on better terms.

Ben often complains to Lena that they have way too many animals and they should definitely get rid of some, though Lena refuses and Ben has grown to accept the chaos of having 10 pets though he still often complains that they are in the way, but Lena mostly cares for them since they are hers. He originally had a hard time accepting his son’s new pronouns and was skeptical at first because he had never heard of such a thing but is now trying his best to refer to them in the way they wish to be referred to so his son is grateful that he’s trying.

Abraham “ Abe “ Garth [Warrinder] Wolfgang (47) is Ben’s younger brother and also subjected to his father’s verbal abuse. Since he was younger, he had less toxic masculinity influenced onto him but he was also belittled and expected less from — even though the age difference was only one year! Still, he has no hard feelings against Ben and promised not to let their father turn them against each other, after all they need each other. He knows Ben and Lena need each other too and their commitment despite the odds is a huge factor in how strong their love is. Abe is happily married and has two children, one of them also being 23 and his children are still close with Sable but not with their paternal grandfather, which Abe says “There’s no point trying to impress him. He’s not a role model.”

Abe and his wife are more middle-class but this is fine with him. Abe works at the local high school as the performing arts teacher and he loves the artsiness of the school but also loves the sports as well and likes how well the school balances sports and arts alongside general studies. Abe is very school spirited especially with their mascot, the barracuda. He always says, “Go Barracudas!” whenever walking past the sports teams in the halls. He’s impressed by Chris coaching the Barracudas in the basketball team to the championships and is holding out for them to win. Abe’s wife and children are all very athletic and crafty but they aren’t pushed into sports or arts unless they want to.

Chris was created by @A.B.Galaxy.

Oh and I can’t take credit for Ishi and Ivy meeting in McDonalds. That was inspired by some message @mynameis1 told me about meeting someone in McDonald’s as a kid who shared her name. Unfortunately they haven’t reunited IRL but like, it needs to happen.
