Seung-ah " [name_f]Sabine[/name_f] " [name_m]Chang[/name_m] (21) is the fourth housemate, although she isn’t the friend who convinced [name_f]Tia[/name_f] to stay on her course, having only known [name_m]Ricard[/name_m] prior to applying for her place in the house. [name_f]Sabine[/name_f] has duel British and [name_u]South[/name_u] Korean citizenship, having chosen to study abroad to pursue her degree in graphic design after deciding she wanted to branch out from her home in Salford, Manchester. Sometimes she feels guilty about this choice though, more for leaving behind her dear friends who she was devastated at the thought of leaving as a child - after her mum finished her PhD as an international student and considered returning to Jeonju where [name_f]Sabine[/name_f] spent the first eight years of her life - in spite of them being excited when she announced her decision to pursue her degree abroad. Her family are all well-travelled, parents having lived in [name_u]Germany[/name_u] and Norway while completing their respective studies, and her older brother spent his gap year backpacking across [name_u]South[/name_u] [name_u]East[/name_u] [name_f]Asia[/name_f], so it surprised no-one when she decided to make university a whole new adventure. [name_f]Sabine[/name_f] is amused when people ask about either of her cultures and how they influence her: usually cooking traditionally Korean dishes but she’s a fiend for British tea and needs at least three cups a day to properly relax.
She’s always friendly and approachable but her evident bonds with her friends back in the UK can turn some people away, as it’s evident she’s got a tight group waiting for her once she’s completed her studies. This could lead to [name_f]Sabine[/name_f] feeling isolated and at one point she debated moving into a singular apartment as making new friends felt hopeless, until she met [name_m]Ricard[/name_m] at a vinyl-and-coffee shop she frequents while essay writing, finally meeting someone who didn’t see her as disinterested in making new friends because of devout loyalty. Nail tech is also a recent pursuit she’s taken on, loving to craft unique designs that tend to have some humour in them. Aside from her art, Sabine’s a talented video editor and does freelance work for some YouTubers, or just makes amusing edits that entertain those she’s close to. She made an elaborate one for her brother’s 26th birthday a few months back and is working on one for [name_m]Lorcan[/name_m] now, whom she’s become very tight with now they’re living together. Some people assume there’s romantic sparks there but it’s not going to progress as Sabine’s got a girlfriend whom she cares for deeply, although she suspects [name_m]Lorcan[/name_m] might have feelings for Yule…and even if she’s not an experienced matchmaker she’s happy to give it a go.
