Deon Charles McDonnell (3) is a neighbour of Eve. Eve is good friends with the parents and grandparents of the McDonnell family and Deon is the second-youngest, only being older than Emily. While the McDonnells originally didn’t support Teddi’s mother for her dastardly vengeful crime, they have become more understanding. Eve told them about the addiction her daughter struggled with and how her late husband was her rock. Losing him broke all of her wrath loose. The McDonnells do not support her moral compass but still see her as a victim as well. Ruth has often stayed away from the matter to preserve their mental health, which both families accept and understand. The McDonnells have always gotten along with Eve however and love her authentic Italian restaurant. Deon loves the meatballs the best and usually just orders a giant meatball. Deon loves to draw with crayons and his favourite colour is blue.

Indie’s parents are homophobic so she disconnected with them and Indie’s go to family would be her husbands parents, and her wife’s sister. [name_u]Indie[/name_u] has a younger brother who was always the favourite, and he occasionally contacts her but him and his girlfriend are extremly religous and although most of their faith accepts lgbtq+ people, her brother and his girlfriend don’t. Indie’s nursery excepts everyone but it was mainly built to accept Lgbtq+ parents and families because, as mother of a 2 year old and 5 year old, herself she knows sometimes schools and nurseries are very hostile towards families like hers.
[name_u]Indie[/name_u] comes from an african-american family where emotional abuse was accepted and treated as normal and her mother is heavily controlled by her father. [name_u]Indie[/name_u] changed her first name at 21, after not being accepted when coming out at her brother’s high school graduation the previous month. Indie’s original name was [name_f]Deborah[/name_f] but she changed it to indigo, one of the colours in the rainbow and her favourite colour. She loves the beach and Indie’s favourite things to wear are bright vest tops, and her style is reflected in her 2 year old who she dresses.
She loves having a healthy relationship with her husband and wife. She met her wife via work, as she started work at [name_f]Rainbow[/name_f] house while in a relationship with some others and other colleagues were not particularly understanding so she began work there, met [name_u]Indie[/name_u] and broke up with her other spouses, the two were together for a year before meeting and adding their husband too their relationship. They met their husband at a book signing for a mutual favourite author of the three of them and a year after that they were engaged and her wife was pregnant with their 5 year old and then [name_u]Indie[/name_u] became pregnant with their 2 year old, and the three all help looking after their kids though they are aiming for 4 kids.
Jae Kim (32) is one of Indie’s lovers, the husband behind the romance, and biological father of both children. He is the older cousin of Ash and Pete. Sometimes Indie spends time with Ash and Pete and gets along with Jae’s side of the family. Ash is dating a trans woman Quilla and Pete is dating a bi woman Leonora so both girlfriends are in the community as well and are nothing but supportive. Jae introduced Quilla and Leonora to Indie and the women have also acted as surrogate younger sisters to her whenever she feels her real younger brother isn’t treating her with sibling love. Jae is pansexual but closer with women and is always doing his best as a husband to both and a father to his children. Jae doesn’t believe in traditional family roles and believes that people who aren’t related to you can serve as figures for relatives who refuse to act like relatives. Jae is very aware he is privileged in a good family and has good relationships and he works as a troubled teens mentor to help get teens on the right path in life while they can. Jae also does not believe in gender roles and is the one who does the most cooking and gardening, however he genuinely loves doing both.

Madolina ’ [name_f]Mina[/name_f] ’ [name_f]Gianna[/name_f] Laudato (31) is the third partner in the relationship with [name_u]Indie[/name_u] and [name_u]Jae[/name_u]. Mina’s early life was complex and marked by the deaths of her parents’ when she was only 6 to a plane crash when they were returning from a friend’s wedding - an event that still makes her very uncomfortable about flying, and [name_f]Mina[/name_f] will avoid it as much as possible. She and her younger sister were subsequently raised by their maternal grandmother - a firm but fair first generation Italian immigrant who taught them to speak the language fluently and took them on cruises to visit where she grew up in Rovigo; a place [name_f]Mina[/name_f] still holds close to her heart. Sadly, her grandma passed away when she when was 22 and never met her children, but she knows if she were still alive, the family Mina’s got would be fully embraced by her.
The breakup preceding her relationship with [name_u]Indie[/name_u] is something that hurt [name_f]Mina[/name_f] a lot at the time, as she’s prone to worrying a lot about others’, having a lot of anxiety thanks to how much she strove to protect her sister from the trauma of losing their parents. Some people would call her overbearing, but she never makes decisions on the behalf of her loved one’s and just offers advise when asked - something quite frequent for her sister who’s always been the ambitious risk-taker out the pair. [name_f]Mina[/name_f] loves her job at the nursery, but her ultimate passion is gardening and she’s proud of the vegetable patch she’s set up at their home, introducing the children to this. Her 5-year-old daughter (named for her late grandma unsurprisingly) is especially keen and they can spend hours planting, potting and clearing up - something regretted by [name_u]Indie[/name_u] and [name_u]Jae[/name_u] as Mina’s a very talented baker who makes focaccia when she has a spare minute.
[name_f]Andriana[/name_f] " [name_f]Andi[/name_f] " Hwa-young [name_u]Kim[/name_u] (5) is the elder child of the family, born to [name_u]Jae[/name_u] and [name_f]Mina[/name_f], although biology never impacts on how she sees all three adults as her parents. Naturally shy and reserved around new people, once she’s comfortable [name_f]Andi[/name_f] enjoys asking lots of questions about people’s pets, as she adores animals and is delighted her parents are finally coming round to the idea of getting a dog now her younger siblings a toddler - but it doesn’t stop her from loving every other canine she meets. Her aunt has two dogs and [name_f]Andi[/name_f] adores them especially, always wanting to accompany her on walks, and very much considers her cool thanks to how she also has a pet iguana. [name_f]Andi[/name_f] very much wants to work with animals when she’s older but doesn’t know if she’d like to be a vet or a zookeeper. For all her shyness she isn’t squeamish, so her parents are confident she’ll be able to achieve these dreams in some capacity.
At school, her shyer demeanour means she isn’t the social darling of the classroom but she does have three close friends; two of whom have younger siblings at [name_f]Rainbow[/name_f] House, having queer parents themselves. As mentioned, [name_f]Andi[/name_f] also loves gardening with her mom and is very proud when their vegetables find their way into whatever’s being cooked for the family. She’s recently also taken a shine to the flowers being planted and cultivated, intending on making a little bouquet for her mama (Indie) because of how much work goes into running a business - well that’s from what Andi’s heard from her dad, as economics aren’t really fascinating her right now. She and her wife had only just married last year and adopted some children, the older one is one of Andi’s best friends and the younger one attending [name_f]Rainbow[/name_f] House. Her children love being cousins to Mina’s children and they always hang out. [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and her wife have two dogs, a female pitbull named [name_f]Della[/name_f] and a male labradoodle named [name_u]Ren[/name_u]. [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] likes to take risks, being a fan of extreme sports, her fave being zip lining and snowboarding. However her biggest risk was forming a small crafting business in an area where small businesses didn’t tend to last and people often said she “didn’t seem like the crafty type”. This only motivated her more and she’s doing very well in her business.

The girl in the picture (the link is to it haha) is Isabella Marie Laudato. She is Luciana’s adopted youngest daughter and Andi’s cousin. She’s very outspoken and bold, in contrast to Andi’s very quiet and soft personality and often gets both of them into trouble. She’s mischievous and very intelligent, Isabella once took an IQ test for younger children and reached a very high score of 139 (my iq irl too!!). She’s very close with Jae, Indie and Mina as well as Andie and is seen as the baby of the family despite Andie being older than her. Her birthday is July 19 making her a Cancer. Isabella is allergic to nuts. Despite her rambunctious side she is also very sweet and loves to draw cute little notes for Andi and drops them off at her house- Luciana just can’t say no to her! Isa’s first parents were underaged and decided to put her up for adoption. Luciana’s wife is very close to her youngest daughter and adores her. Isabella has a rivalry with her other sibling, though. Ayla Marianne [Greene] Laudato (31) is Isabella’s other mother and Lucy’s wife. She’s the aforementioned fraternal twin sister of Vida. Ayla is in STEM, specifically in the mathematics portion and is always supportive of WOC in STEM. She loves Isabella’s youngster side but greatly admires her intellect and empowers her children to be anything they want to be and never be told they can’t do something excellent. Ayla and Lucy often deal with the friendly sibling rivalry of the two children and tries to teach them about resolving conflict when she can. Ayla is allergic to wheat and she makes it very important for people to know how to substitute or avoid foods with potential allergens, since Isabella is allergic to nuts.

Askhild “Asher” Rae Fiske (7), Is the best friend and crush of Eliana. They first met at Rainbow House School when Asher moved from Norway with her parents and 2 twin brothers. She loves her brothers to bits despite the 6 year age difference. She Isn’t fond of Isabella because of her loud and outspoken personality but appreciates her intelligence when needed. Asher has been dancing since she was 1 and has currently won 12 awards for her ballet and contemporary solos. She currently aspires to become a dance teacher when she grows up just like her mother

[name_u]Indie[/name_u] decided on the name ‘Scarlet’ for her daughter because it’s the beginning of the rainbow, and [name_u]Indigo[/name_u] is at the end, and rainbows always held a significant position in Indie’s life. [name_f]Scarlet[/name_f] does dance lessons with Asher’s mother and enjoys them very much. [name_f]Scarlet[/name_f] and [name_f]Andi[/name_f] generally get along. [name_f]Scarlet[/name_f] enjoys playing outside and drawing with chalk, and she also enjoys drawing on the walls in her parents’ house. He is close with Scarlet’s family as he is also a co-worker of [name_f]Rainbow[/name_f] House. He is happy that [name_u]Asher[/name_u] has found friends there. Although he and his wife are happily married, both are pansexual and proud of the community. His wife is a dancer whom [name_f]Scarlet[/name_f] looks up to. His twin sons are doing very great in school and have lots of good friends as well. [name_m]Sven[/name_m] loves the history of arts and music.

She met [name_m]Sven[/name_m] at an internet cafe and admired his intellect and passion for the arts and they quickly started dating afterwards. Kasper Aksel [left] and Gustav Isak [right] Fiske are the teenage Fiske sons of Anja and Sven and the older brothers of Asher. Kasper, who also loves to write, has a crush on Jodi but is too afraid to ask at the moment. However he is content having her as a friend as well and hopes to remain close. Gustav isn’t into dating and will playfully mock couples when they get too sappy, which thankfully his family isn’t. Both are doing excellent in school with English being Kasper’s favourite subject despite him knowing Norwegian first. Gustav is much more of a science person, immersing himself in STEM as much as possible. He is friends with a girl of colour who is also interested in STEM and Ayla motivates her, being a Black woman and mathematics expert. Anja wants to get closer with Kasper seeing that he isn’t the type to be super emotional and talk about his feelings. Kasper sometimes gets too stressed out in school but doesn’t like to show it and wants his family to not think that, seeing that he and his brother always get such good grades. The two of them are still happy to have a good school, social, and family life.

Danielle “Dani” Tessa Okiro, Is a 16 year old student in the Rainbow house school STEM program. She is close friends with Gustav after being assigned a seat next to him last term. She has a difficult home life with her being openly pansexual with homophobic and transphobic parents and therefore she lives with her girlfriend’s family which can get with her large family.
After High School, she aspires to study mathematics hoping to become a maths teacher like Ayla as she is a major role model to Dani. She works Monday to Thurday afternoon’s for her tutoring job at the Skylar Road Tutoring business.

[name_f]Nora[/name_f] Sun-Hee [name_u]Kim[/name_u] is Dani’s girlfriend and Jae’s second cousin on her dad’s side. She’s a very bubbly, sweet person who has a part time job at the local cafe nearby. She’s sixteen years old and Dani’s age and is also very good friends with the [name_m]Fiske[/name_m] twins. She has ADHD which makes it hard for her to focus on things sometimes but she does pretty well in [name_f]English[/name_f] though she’s not very good at mathematics. [name_f]Nora[/name_f] enjoys spending time with [name_u]Dani[/name_u] and though she has no knowledge in stem she’s always very happy to support her GF 
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] and [name_u]Dani[/name_u] met through a mutual friend who knew they both liked each other and advised them to go for it!! [name_u]Dani[/name_u] resonates with Nora’s family and finds that they’re much nicer than her own parents. [name_f]Nora[/name_f] is often known as the therapy friend and always helps people with their problems. She’s very good friends with one of Dani’s siblings and loves hanging out with them, as they work at the cafe together. Anyways that’s it, hopefully I’m not up until four am like yesterday ughh lol
Donovan Maro Greene (19) is Dani and Nora’s mutual friend. He is the youngest of the four Greene siblings and the only one to still have his original surname as he is unmarried. He knows the two girls from a neighbour who attends their school, whom he feels like an older brother to. He says he wouldn’t mind changing his surname when he grows up and gets married “if they have a cool surname”. Donovan likes to model and get good photos of himself and wants to make modeling in photos look “manly and tough”. However he’s not judgmental and supports effeminate male models as well, believing modeling comes in all different types. It also helps that his older sister Ayla motivates his friend Dani a lot and he’s proud of his siblings. He’s also great friends with Dani’s siblings and feels like a cousin to them, even though he isn’t.

[name_f]Rowena[/name_f] [name_f]Sally[/name_f] (Trevors) Damaresk (49) is the owner of the agency [name_m]Donovan[/name_m] is signed to and a surrogate mother to several of the models. The company ethos is inspired by Rowena’s own modelling career which was deeply unpleasant and rather insidiously, she was signed to a company with a pro-ED mentality that encouraged her to develop an unhealthy relationship with food. This prompted her - after finally escaping her contract - to want to found an agency prioritising models mental and physical health, as well as celebrating and embracing all body types as well as physical characteristics. Her long-term partner came out as non-binary years after they married and she’s been nothing but supportive of this, as have their two children - who are thirteen and ten respectively. In a lot of ways [name_f]Rowena[/name_f] strives to provide people a spot in the modelling industry that isn’t dominated by some form of exploitation or incessant conflict, as she wants people to be able to follow their dreams without having to make massive sacrifices in the process.
Her office is home based so she can spend time with her son and daughter who she absolutely adores. After developing a cyst in her late teens, [name_f]Rowena[/name_f] had to have one of her ovaries removed and worried she’d be unable to have children but after conceiving her firstborn she found things progressed with ease. One of her oldest friends experienced premature menopause and this led to her being quite anxious when she was younger, but as maturing happened [name_f]Rowena[/name_f] became more focused on supporting her friend through these struggles, and subsequently doesn’t hold it against young people for having self-involved tendencies as she knows it’d be ridiculously hypocritical on her behalf. [name_f]Rowena[/name_f] doesn’t have much contact with her own parents or brother though, as when she was at her worst while stuck in her first contract they responded by acting like she had to just lay in the bed she’d made, after years of trying to control her career path. She subsequently doesn’t trust them much with her own children and it didn’t surprise her their contact came back when she found success.

[name_f]Jisoo[/name_f] " [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] " Kang (26) is a model signed under Rowena’s agency and a hobbyist bodybuilder. In her younger years, [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] was once a trainee under a K-Pop entertainment company that gave her an eating disorder due to the strict eating and practising she had to do to ‘succeed’. After being hospitalised and going through treatment, [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] is grateful that she hasn’t relapsed since, and instead decided to become stronger physically and mentally. At 17 she revisited taekwondo, a Korean martial art. She quickly rose through the ranks and ended up earning a black belt at 24. She documented her progress through social media and that is how she found Rowena’s company. Enamoured with the concept and wishing she had that kind of company to look up to, [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] signed with the company— even though she looked tough, she still loved the camera.
[name_u]Jamie[/name_u] and her parents have a somewhat strained relationship— she resents them for putting her through physical hell and they regret doing so. Due to generational trauma and differences, she knows her parents won’t apologise in a way that she’s going to understand. However, [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] loves her parents nontheless and keeps a nice relationship with them. She currently lives with her girlfriend and their three cats.
