Create a Family With a Twist 2

[name_u]Sutton[/name_u] [name_f]Bella[/name_f] DuMarr (28) is the oldest sister of [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u], half-sister of [name_m]Jotham[/name_m] and second stepsister of [name_m]Eitan[/name_m]. As the eldest sibling in the family, [name_u]Sutton[/name_u] unsurprisingly feels the most responsible for everyone else, and knowing what happened to her sister absolutely breaks her heart. It was especially painful for her seeing Ainsley’s story be dismissed by people she was once close to, and having never been considered a particularly warm person, she’s developed an icier side to her since then. In spite of wanting to see some sort of vengeance taken for her sister, [name_u]Sutton[/name_u] did speak to both of her brother’s when she began suspecting they wanted to take matters into their own hands, as she absolutely couldn’t bare seeing anyone else in her family being persecuted. Managing her own business has been more of a stress due to the preparations for the trial and handling the way [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u] was treated when she spoke up about what happened, so Sutton’s relied more on her family - something she used to be quite uncomfortable doing thanks to her insistence on being put together and independent - as well as her best friend who handles the admin side of things.

Part of Sutton’s also higher strung because she welcomed her first child a month ago. This has been a comfort for the family - especially [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u] who adores her little nephew and spends as much time as possible with him - in the wake of the trauma. It wasn’t planned by her and her partner, who’s an engineer specialising in renewable energy, but this didn’t change their feelings about becoming parents and in many ways, [name_u]Sutton[/name_u] feels it’s strengthened her bond with him. They casually dated throughout university, only becoming official post-graduation, and his laidback sense of humour helps her relax and open up more herself. The chalk and cheese nature of their dynamic confused a lot of people - especially members of their respective friend groups - but Sutton’s not going to bother with any psychoanalysis as long as they’re happy together.

Being more aloof, [name_u]Sutton[/name_u] and [name_m]Eitan[/name_m] had a bit of an awkward start as her reserved nature seemed like rejection when the families first blended. She also was having some disagreements with her mother about pursuing arts - she thought print making was never going to be sustainable and [name_u]Sutton[/name_u] was also talented at chemistry, a field her mom infinitely preferred at the time - meaning her general demeanour was frosty and standoffish, unintentionally making [name_m]Eitan[/name_m] think she resented he and his father’s presence. They patched things up in the subsequent years, and [name_u]Sutton[/name_u] was especially supportive in the aftermath of his argument, spending a lot of time visiting him and offering to help in whatever manner she could while he was in recovery. She also became more inclined socially towards him thanks to his closeness in age to [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u] - who their mom affectionately called Sutton’s sidekick thanks to the way they were almost always together - and he became the third member of their little alliance in favour of children’s rebellion. [name_m]Eitan[/name_m] always knows he can rely on [name_u]Sutton[/name_u] for advise - she may not be prone to sugar coating but she’ll give him total honesty and multiple options - and she’s been a very vocal supporter of his plans to teach, jokingly lamenting how he won’t be allowed to tutor her own son in an official capacity.
