[name_f]Corinne[/name_f] " [name_f]Cora[/name_f] " [name_f]Dulcinea[/name_f] Scislowski-Cook (9) is one of Zoey’s classmates, who used to be friends with [name_f]Diana[/name_f] before the transformation of [name_f]Queen[/name_f] [name_f]Bee[/name_f] overtook her. [name_f]Cora[/name_f] was offered a place within this group as her aunt [name_f]Jacqueline[/name_f] [technically step-aunt but this term’s meaningless given their bond] is an actress and dancer who’s managed to start making waves in the film industry, however she declined, as Diana’s shift in attitude really rubbed her the wrong way. At the time [name_f]Cora[/name_f] couldn’t put her finger on what it was, but now the change is underway, she knows exactly what it was and is relieved she kept her distance.
The maneuvers of [name_f]Zoey[/name_f] and [name_f]Diana[/name_f] typically win eye rolls from [name_f]Cora[/name_f], who thinks their antics are the opposite of cool and sophisticated, something she’s spoken about with her best friend at length. It does sadden [name_f]Cora[/name_f] though, as she remembers the accepting and encouraging person [name_f]Diana[/name_f] once was, who never dismissed Cora’s fascination with history and drive to learn as much as possible about ancient empires. Now [name_f]Diana[/name_f] has labelled these things ‘incredibly boring’, and of course this means [name_f]Cora[/name_f] has nothing desirable in terms of friendship.
Cora’s confided in her dad about a lot of this, as he’s a behavioural therapist, so she figures if anyone could stop [name_f]Diana[/name_f] burning her bridges entirely, it’s him. They share a lot of swimming as well, often going the pool once a week to race each other [but Cora’s wise to the fact her dad absolutely should always beat her]. He and her mom are typically amused by Cora’s stubborn side, most notably when she decided to name her Russian dwarf hamster Unit, and refused to back down. Unit’s still going strong and even now, [name_f]Cora[/name_f] just laughs at eyebrow raises at his name. When [name_f]Lotte[/name_f] VanderHeisen retaliated against [name_f]Zoey[/name_f], [name_f]Cora[/name_f] was admittedly not that sympathetic, but this is tied to the fact Lotte’s good friends with her sister, 11-year-old [name_u]Camille[/name_u].
