[name_f]Cosma[/name_f] [name_f]Tess[/name_f] [name_m]Williams[/name_m] (10) is Sid’s daughter. She loves having a C name as well and loves being a [name_m]Williams[/name_m]. The funny interesting thing about [name_u]Sid[/name_u] and her husband is that neither of them changed their surname on marriage - they both happened to be born with the surname [name_m]Williams[/name_m], married each other, and both kept their last names. Of course [name_m]Williams[/name_m] is a common surname and Sid’s friends joke that it’s “too common” and they should have born hyphenated it “Williams-Williams”. [name_f]Cosma[/name_f] loves being able to effortlessly take both her parents’ surname and be a [name_m]Williams[/name_m] as but it makes [name_u]Sid[/name_u] feel bad when [name_f]Cosma[/name_f] says she’s only “half a Williams” due to her father dying so early in both their lives. [name_f]Cosma[/name_f] doesn’t have many personal memories of her father due to only being 2 months at the time of his death. She doesn’t know much details of how he died but knows there are unfortunately some careless unjust people in this world and that thankfully he was put to justice. [name_f]Cosma[/name_f] hopes he rests in peace and has a special teddy bear he made himself for her. She swears she could have remembered him giving it to her when she turned a month old but isn’t sure if she really remembers it happening or was just a dream but regardless, she’s holding onto that memory. Sid’s made sure to never let [name_f]Cosma[/name_f] never forget her late father and hangs up pictures everywhere. Sid’s other friend besides [name_f]Calia[/name_f] has a sister who’s a baby photographer and she’s taken beautifully decorated baby photos of [name_f]Cosma[/name_f] and has a few lovely ones of [name_u]Sid[/name_u], [name_f]Cosma[/name_f], and Cosma’s father as well that [name_u]Sid[/name_u] and [name_f]Cosma[/name_f] will never forget.

[name_f]Cosma[/name_f] is a huge fan of water parks and enjoys going to them with her best friend, the baby photographer’s daughter. [name_f]Cosma[/name_f] is also close with her paternal grandparents and always enjoys their presence in her life. She likes her maternal grandparents and wishes they were more stable but [name_u]Sid[/name_u] appreciates them being civil, especially for the sake of [name_f]Cosma[/name_f]. [name_f]Cosma[/name_f] also enjoys ballet even if the other children say she’s “too old” - after all there are adult ballerinas! She’s also a fan of Full House, a show [name_u]Sid[/name_u] grew up with and showed [name_f]Cosma[/name_f] and sometimes she perceives [name_u]Sid[/name_u], [name_f]Calia[/name_f], and the third nurse as female versions of [name_u]Danny[/name_u], [name_u]Joey[/name_u] and [name_u]Jesse[/name_u]. They’ve even acted more like [name_u]Danny[/name_u], [name_u]Joey[/name_u], and [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] for fun around her sometimes just to make Cosma’s day.

[name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] Calistro (3) is Jaylin’s daughter. She loves playing with the twins whom [name_u]Jaylin[/name_u] takes care of. She loves spending time with her mother and her little sister.

Alice Leonore May Calistro (2) is Emma’s little sister and Jailyn’s younger daughter. She’s less fond of the twins as she dislikes sharing time with her sister but their mom’s been trying to coax her into socialising. Thankfully it’s just her sister who Alice wants a monopoly on: she never fights with Emma about the attentions of Jailyn and sharing her toys - she’ll actually let the twins near those much easier than she gives up time with her sister. Her absolute favourite things are her stuffed raccoon Roscoe, bug hunts in the garden and painting [which usually ends up everywhere apart from the paper].

He’s the youngest sibling of [name_u]Sid[/name_u] and Calia’s nurse friend. He’s only dated [name_u]Jaylin[/name_u] for 4 months and knows she has children but has been a good surrogate father for them with the help of his doggo [name_u]Massey[/name_u]. Given his race, [name_m]Eugene[/name_m] has unfortunately been called a deadbeat dad despite not being a father and was even stereotyped as a kidnapper when he babysat the two girls at a park. A [name_f]Karen[/name_f] believed he couldn’t be a trusted adult with them given he was a black man watching two white girls and wrongly accused him of criminal activity. [name_u]Jaylin[/name_u] came back in time to defend [name_m]Eugene[/name_m] and tell the [name_f]Karen[/name_f] that he was telling the truth about being a trusted babysitter and father figure. [name_m]Eugene[/name_m] was grateful because he was afraid how the police would react if the [name_f]Karen[/name_f] called them.

It’s been tough for him but he’s been a good role model for [name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Alice[/name_f] and he questions how their real father just walked out on them and [name_u]Jaylin[/name_u]. He’s not as familiar with the twins but he knows [name_u]Taylor[/name_u]. [name_m]Eugene[/name_m] knows he’s still relatively newly dating [name_u]Jaylin[/name_u] and while she’s already made him familiar with her children, they’re still keeping the relationship slow and peaceful. They still like casual dates and they don’t want to go too fast as this was a supposed reason Jaylin’s ex left. [name_m]Eugene[/name_m] is studying nursing as well but hasn’t decided what type of nurse he wants to be. [name_m]Eugene[/name_m] loves to bug hunt with [name_f]Alice[/name_f] and [name_f]Emma[/name_f] as well and asks them what their fave bug is — Eugene’s is a dragonfly.

[name_f]Jillian[/name_f] " [name_f]Jill[/name_f] " [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_m]Nash[/name_m] (20) is Eugene’s younger sister - favourite sister, as he calls her, even though she’s his only sibling - and main source of support when enduring bigotry or presumptions. As a waitress, Karen’s are what [name_f]Jill[/name_f] calls a ‘workplace hazard’, frequently witnessing outbursts and on several occasions has also been subjected to racist vitriol, usually microaggressions or implied comments that frustrate her endlessly in how they protect the bigot to a degree, as [name_f]Jill[/name_f] admits to fearing being decried as oversensitive or hysterical if she presses too hard. Thankfully, she recently got a new manager - the old one wasn’t the woest by any means, just very checked out and lethargic in their handling of difficult situations - who’s absolutely cracked down on the abuse staff can endure, making work a much more light-hearted environment, as things first were when [name_f]Jill[/name_f] was employed. Her paycheck goes towards school, as she’s currently majoring in [name_f]English[/name_f] Literature at college, with her dreams being to become a poet, although [name_f]Jill[/name_f] can’t help but be a little cynical about her career prospects, and is considering teaching as a means of ensuring financial stability in the meantime. While university by no means broke her parents bank accounts, she’s mindful of the costs and never wants them to struggle, especially as her mom grew up in serious poverty and she never wants her to endure such trauma again.

Known for being an excellent storyteller, who’s accounts of the Karen’s at work never fail to crack her friends up, [name_f]Jill[/name_f] knows [name_m]Eugene[/name_m] thinks she’d get along swimmingly with [name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Alice[/name_f], but she’s a little hesitant. It’s not that she doesn’t want to spend more time with them or form a strong bond, [name_f]Jill[/name_f] just is mindful of not rushing the family dynamics and setting the girls up for disappointment if things between [name_u]Jailyn[/name_u] and [name_m]Eugene[/name_m] didn’t work out. She hates her pessimistic side, as she can see how wonderfully her brother’s taken to providing paternal support and knows how much [name_u]Jailyn[/name_u] means to him, however she doesn’t want any pressure being applied to the couple as she knows it will mark disaster. Jill’s own high school relationship broke down when people began attaching labels to her and her then boyfriend - the captain of the wrestling team, while she was a member of the netball squad - which led to them feeling they had to be absolutely perfect at all times, which of course wasn’t sustainable. He’s actually now expecting a child with another girl they knew, a bit of a whiplash for [name_f]Jill[/name_f], but she doesn’t hold any ill-will towards the couple, it’s just not the life she wants for herself currently.

Having just moved into her own place with 4 friends, Jill’s adjusting to the dynamics of being housemates and admittedly is handling it the best with how naturally she takes to people. They’ve all met through university, as while [name_f]Jill[/name_f] loves her longstanding friends to pieces, sleepovers and a graduation road trip taught them they absolutely cannot cohabit; so the fresh start is suiting all 5 persons very nicely. Jill’s been the main interior designer of the group and is still in the process of decorating to her liking, which [name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Alice[/name_f] have advised on, much to her endearment of the duo. Recently, [name_f]Jill[/name_f] hosted her parents and [name_m]Eugene[/name_m] for dinner which turned out to be a surprising success as she’s legendary for her power to burn food, and being out the house has finally allowed her to master the oven and hob [which is the source of numerous jokes throughout their extended family too]. She’s also been asked on a date by a friend of a friend but hasn’t given an answer yet, as the news about her ex has left her a little in shock, and [name_f]Jill[/name_f] doesn’t want that energy accompanying her as she knows the person in question could be an amazing significant other.

[name_f]Amalie[/name_f] [name_f]Athena[/name_f] Calistro (20) is Jaylin’s sister and one of Jill’s friends and roomies. [name_f]Amalie[/name_f] isn’t as outgoing and is more subdued in personality. She’s [name_f]Alice[/name_f] and Emma’s aunt but she has no desire for children of her own, especially how Jaylin’s boyfriend and the girls’ father just abandoned them. Like [name_f]Cosma[/name_f], she enjoys waterparks but she’s more into the high and fast slides and she enjoys adrenaline. [name_f]Amalie[/name_f] is supportive of [name_m]Eugene[/name_m] but she too hopes [name_u]Jaylin[/name_u] and [name_m]Eugene[/name_m] don’t move too fast with this, although she supports both of them no matter what. She’s glad the [name_f]Karen[/name_f] didn’t ruin their relationship for them. She can’t imagine what Karens are like for [name_f]Jill[/name_f] either and ultimately [name_f]Amalie[/name_f] doesn’t try to make reason of racists. She’ll never firsthand know what that’s like to be harassed for being [name_m]Black[/name_m] since she’s not [name_m]Black[/name_m] and she’s not negotiating with racists. Currently [name_f]Amalie[/name_f] is studying marketing at university and she’s currently working in a big department store.

[name_f]Chiara[/name_f] [name_u]Sage[/name_u] Moretti (21) is one of Amalie’s coworkers at the department store. They both work in the cookware department and get along pretty well. She attends the same university as [name_f]Amalie[/name_f] but studies cosmetology so they don’t see each other much. [name_f]Chiara[/name_f] also frequents the restaurant [name_f]Jill[/name_f] works at when she needs a quick bite for lunch. She’s become a good friend of Jill’s and they often hang out.

Always having loved her family, even though they weren’t perfect, [name_f]Chiara[/name_f] knew she didn’t want to move away for college. She’s happy to have her family in the same town and visits them frequently. Her younger siblings are known to come to her apartment and spend some time with her too. [name_f]Chiara[/name_f] is the oldest of four kids and the only girl. She loves that they think of her as a cool sister. Her brother closest in age is in his sophomore year of college and the two get to spend a bit more time together because of that.

[name_f]Chiara[/name_f] has always loved makeup and doing her and her friends’ nails and hair. It wasn’t much of a surprise to anyone when she decided to go into cosmetology, especially her best friend. She plans to open her own beauty parlor eventually and has a ten year plan laid out already. [name_f]Chiara[/name_f] also enjoys the outdoors and has since she was a child. Her family would often go camping, either in a tent or their camper, and those were great bonding times. Their parents always encouraged the kids to get outdoors, even just to sit and enjoy nature.

Chiara’s parents are both of Italian descent. Her mom’s great grandmother and her dad’s grandmother were Italian. Their children’s first names reflect their heritage and [name_f]Chiara[/name_f] has always loved her name. They’ve gone to [name_f]Italy[/name_f] a few times to visit extended family and she loves the culture and food. She’s going to do her next semester there and is beyond excited about it. [name_f]Chiara[/name_f] is a great fan of cooking and loves food from all sorts of places. She’s teaching her youngest brother who’s 15 to cook and suspects it’s because he wants to impress a certain someone. [name_f]Chiara[/name_f] knows that if he wants to talk about it he would and doesn’t press. She’s made a point of being there to listen and give advice when asked by her brothers or friends.

Doesn’t really need a warning but…Content Warning for mentions of one of the worst cakes ever (not triggering or maturity-restricted, whether it’s graphic is debatable)

[name_m]Sebastiano[/name_m] ‘ Sino ’ [name_u]Ash[/name_u] Moretti (15) is Chiara’s brother and youngest of the family. When he was first announced to be a boy, the other boys cheered but [name_f]Chiara[/name_f] was trying to hide that she was miffed…thankfully she got over it so quickly. During childhood, a 7-year-old Sino wanted to make her a special cake for her birthday. It was well, not a good cake in the slightest; being a half-baked partially burnt overwatered cake with macaroni & cheese, chicken nuggets, candy corn, maple syrup, pickle relish, mashed potatoes, fruit punch, and some chocolate inside as well…with ketchup as frosting. These were genuinely what he enjoyed eating so he thought it would make a tasty cake and although he tried it first before cooking it and hated the mixture, he figured it would be better cooked and [name_f]Chiara[/name_f] would love it. He was definitely incorrect, she freaked out looking at how disgusting it was…but then hugged him for his efforts. Thankfully there was another cake for her that day, one that was actually edible. There’s old pictures taken of Sino’s infamous terrible cake and Sino looks back and laughs at these.

Now he’s actually great at cooking especially with Italian recipes and [name_f]Chiara[/name_f] has been super supportive in helping Sino cook. Sino likes his Italian heritage and enjoys his place in the family. He feels odd being the youngest sometimes but he has a good mix of fitting in and of defying his role of youngest child. Being a teenager, he loves having fun and is on his school’s baseball team. He’s also very social and is planning to be a Class Fave in the yearbook but hasn’t decided which category he wants to go for. Unlike [name_f]Chiara[/name_f], Sino used to not care at all about makeup but now he’s piqued and has asked [name_f]Chiara[/name_f] about makeup brands. It’s not for him though, it’s because he’s secretly fallen for a girl and doesn’t want to feel like he “doesn’t know girl stuff”. [name_f]Chiara[/name_f] has completely caught onto this but she knows Sino is shy and hasn’t had a girlfriend and while his dream girl loves cosmetics, girls don’t always have to follow the “girl stuff” and can act just like guys.

[name_m]Vitale[/name_m] " [name_u]Tate[/name_u] " [name_u]Cove[/name_u] Moretti (17) is the third sibling, and generally the most self-contained. Photography is obviously the greatest passion of Tate’s, exemplified not just in how every birthday he asks for a gift relating to his hobby but the mural of work he’s been building in his room; already set on figuring out a portfolio for when his college application processes begin. Thanks to his dedication, and the fact it led to him joining the school paper as their primary photographer, [name_u]Tate[/name_u] can seem a bit disconnected from family ongoings when compared to his siblings. He has become more aware of this as he’s grown up and feels some guilt about vanishing into his own world at times, even if there’s no hard feelings, which has led to [name_u]Tate[/name_u] engaging more with his siblings and parents, although it hasn’t diminished his determination to become a professional in what interests him the most. [name_u]Tate[/name_u] actually got his own car before both his older siblings - albeit this was because he was the only one willing to take on the inherited little vehicle from their uncle, which his weekend job working at a local sports shop funded seeing it restored to a decent state, as it had gone through the wars in the years their dad’s brother owned it. This means he usually is the one called upon for lifts, not just by his sister and brothers but also his friends, a ‘penance’ [name_u]Tate[/name_u] jokes, for how wrapped up in photography he can become.

Aside from capturing the world around him - and pretty much anything is game for [name_u]Tate[/name_u], although nature unsurprisingly is his favourite subject, thanks to a childhood being enraptured by the beauty of natural landscapes and domains - he’s not so much into food but is very talented at drinks. Tate’s first job was as a barista, which he loved and hated: picking up a lot of skills that he’s glad to have maintained but also despairing about the long hours, which led to him leaving for his current job, as it wasn’t compatible with his schoolwork and ate up any possible free time. He still makes excellent coffees for others though, and always brings one to [name_f]Chiara[/name_f], as he considers it only fair given she ‘endured 3 brothers without opting to disown them all’ until college provided her an escape route [Tate’s words, not her’s].

As he’s been involved with the schools Fashion and Design Club on several occasions - namely organising and participating in photoshoots for their workshops and collections - he also has a fair degree of insight into makeup, but Sino doesn’t ask [name_u]Tate[/name_u] for any help for one simple reason: his crush belongs to said club and he absolutely knows Tate’s the kind of person to let things slip. For someone as organised and proactive as he’s known for, [name_u]Tate[/name_u] can be very absent-minded when it’s personal matters such as romantic aspirations, and on several occasions has led to confessions coming quicker by mentioning something to someone before realising what he’s done. [name_u]Tate[/name_u] himself is asexual, having realised this about a year ago, and admits dating isn’t something he’s too keen to pursue right now, so it really doesn’t intimidate him. He did have a middle school girlfriend who he’s remained close with though [being one of the first to learn they were nonbinary], and if anyone would be asked out by him, it’s them oddly enough.

[name_u]Lumen[/name_u] [name_u]Tay[/name_u] Calistro (17) is the former middle school girlfriend of [name_u]Tate[/name_u] and now mainly uses “they/them” pronouns. [name_u]Lumen[/name_u] will go by “she” but only to their sisters and to [name_u]Tate[/name_u] and doesn’t like it when people they don’t know assume their gender. They are [name_f]Amalie[/name_f] and Jaylin’s youngest sibling. They have always felt comfortable talking to [name_u]Tate[/name_u] and they’ve remained good friends with him and credits him with how well he’s made it for their coming out process as non-binary. [name_u]Lumen[/name_u] hasn’t found time for a job due to school and due to few good jobs available for juveniles but knows [name_u]Tate[/name_u] is much better with this especially with coffee. [name_u]Lumen[/name_u] is actually more of the food service type despite not officially having a job. They‘ve occasionally worked around Jaylin’s hot dog restaurant The Smoking Bun from time to time. They mostly do it for cash and experience but they don’t have an official shift and aren’t an official employee. The Smoking Bun has a friendly rivalry with another hot dog restaurant Breadweiners, which ironically Jaylin’s friend [name_u]Taylor[/name_u] Godwin has a part-time job at, although it’s never hurt their friendship and both places are successful in their own right. [name_u]Lumen[/name_u] would have a bigger role at The Smoking Bun but is very focused on grades right now and is usually busy.

While [name_u]Lumen[/name_u] and [name_u]Tate[/name_u] aren’t together, they’re still very close friends although neither can imagine dating, even if they technically already have. It doesn’t mean they’re not there for each other, they’re both actually very trusty and dependable. [name_u]Lumen[/name_u] is a fan of Tate’s photography and believes he’s amazing at expressing the art and [name_u]Lumen[/name_u] themself is a watercolour painter. [name_u]Lumen[/name_u] is also in the Fashion and Design Club and has a sense of Sino falling for a girl there, but isn’t sure what to make of that. [name_u]Lumen[/name_u] knows [name_u]Tate[/name_u] is aware but doesn’t know if [name_f]Chiara[/name_f] or their other brother knows about the secret affection.

Youko " Yua " Chiharu Momo (18) is one of the Fashion and Design Clubs co-presidents, as well as the unofficial mentor of Sino’s crush [and this naturally puts her in the category of being avoided at all times]. As the youngest of five - having two sisters, a brother and non-binary sibling - Yua is currently the only one living at home, which is a fairly complex situation as far as she’s concerned: having so much space is ideal [especially with her fashion projects given her plans for the future], but the adjust to not having her siblings around has been difficult, as Yua never resented being one of so many kids, enjoying the boundless energy and constant companionship [while she knows the two eldest didn’t necessarily love it so much]. The fact her sisters’ - Kanako and Hayami - are incredibly close never bothered Yua either, namely as her best friend lives on the next street over from the Momo’s - meaning she always had her own constant companion growing up - and she enjoyed socialising with the other neighbourhood kids; introducing them to her Japanese culture, and in turn always being open to other people’s.

For how her household tended to function - a whirlwind of personalities, energy and interests, Yua herself is a quietly confident person, not needing to raise her voice or be too forward with her opinions, helping keep the Fashion and Design Club focused on the passion bringing them all together, while not being afraid of dealing with any conflicts that arise. Thankfully, there isn’t too much bothering this particular group - especially next to the sports teams, which Yua insists treat bickering as a competition among themselves - but when there have been hurt feelings, it tends to be about people’s relationships; namely makeups, breakups, and the one time someone dated someone else’s cousin [which Yua found a total eyeroll but handled well in spite of this, alongside her fellow co-president]. Her personal design style takes a lot from Japanese street style, and she enjoys bringing a unique flair to everyday wear, wanting boldness and self-expression to be valued, while avoiding seeming too over the top or impractical.

Yua does have a roommate, her beloved pet parakeet Mango, who was a birthday gift from her older brother. She loves doting upon her little bird and has started volunteering at a local charity focusing on them, something she hopes on continuing even after she begins attending college. Something that amuses Yua’s friends is how, for her love of visual components and bringing together fashionable ensembles, she also has a lot of random medical knowledge, and is always someone you can turn to if nervous about physical health. Her mom’s an oncologist - a career her non-binary sibling is also pursuing - and one of her childhood friends actually had cancer themselves, thankfully recovering and having remained in the all-clear since then, but it strengthened Yua’s awareness of not diminishing concerns people have about their wellbeing. She does work hard to not meddle in people’s lives though - partly because she finds it exhausting - as she wants her friends to be themselves, without feeling a need to conform to other’s opinions.

And yes, they were named after the [name_u]March[/name_u] sisters in [name_m]Little[/name_m] Women. The girls have two older brothers, one who is 17 while the other is in his 20s. [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is apart of the Fashion and Design Club as well as Sino’s crush, though she hasn’t the slightest clue about that. She has a crush on him too but hasn’t told anyone. The two of them have always been in the same classes so they have gotten to know one another and are somewhat friends. [name_f]Yua[/name_f] is her unofficial mentor and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] loves her to bits. They get along wonderfully and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] often goes over to her house to hang out and see [name_u]Mango[/name_u]. [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is thinking about a career in cosmetology or fashion but she hasn’t decided yet. Her mom and dad are well known fashion designers and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] has learned a lot from them. Elizabeth’s best friend is not in the Fashion and Design Club and quite frankly could care less about that sort of thing though she does think [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is great at it. She frequents the [name_m]Thompson[/name_m] home a lot due to stressful conditions in her own household and is always welcome.

[name_f]Margaret[/name_f] recently got a job at a local bookstore and loves it. A natural charmer, she has already made friends with all her coworkers. Except one young woman who insists on being cold toward her and the other coworkers. Margaret’s mom tells her that not everyone wants to have friends but [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] thinks this woman does and is determined to become her friend. Another thing that she’s determined to do is join the cheerleading team. She tried this year and didn’t get in but is training and preparing for next year. Rejection doesn’t tend to get [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] down but makes her even more motivated. She is rather stubborn and gets it from both parents. [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] is adamant about the fact that she will not ever grow apart from her brothers and sisters. Her oldest brother, who lives in an adjacent city, gets a call from both his mom and [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] at least twice a week. He loves that and tries to come for dinner as often as he can.

[name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is quieter than her family is but she doesn’t mind. She’s close to them all the same even if she needs space sometimes. Unbeknownst to [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] knows about the crush on Sino and she suspects Sino feels the same. She isn’t going to meddle as she feels it’s not her place but truth be told, if neither of them says anything soon she might be tempted to. [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is also a fan of slam poetry and has been working with a friend of hers to write a few pieces of her own. He is very active in the slams around town so she always goes to support and cheer him on.

[name_f]Galiana[/name_f] ’ [name_f]Galla[/name_f] ’ [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] D’Urbano (18) is the Fashion and Design Clubs fellow co-president alongside [name_f]Yua[/name_f], as well as a member of the friend group the [name_m]Thompson[/name_m] triplets 17-year-old brother (albeit they aren’t massively close themselves, something [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is quite grateful for, given her club membership). Unlike [name_f]Yua[/name_f], [name_f]Galla[/name_f] tends to be the less approachable leading figure, staying behind the scenes and keeping the running of events, timetables and meetups smooth; a perception furthered by how cool she is in temperament.

A Type A personality to a T, everyone knows Galla’s going to be a workaholic once she enters the right career: one undeniably destined for the world of fashion, but the exact field she’ll be in is something [name_f]Galla[/name_f] herself hasn’t quite decided on yet. Thanks to her organisational skills, a director position is what she’s been encouraged to go towards, and [name_f]Galla[/name_f] can’t deny the appeal, although she wants to explore all her options before committing to something.

The D’Urbano family is quite infamous around town, thanks to running a successful fitness business, which includes a disabled access gym and several workshops which operate out of community centers. These businesses were founded by Galla’s grandfather and are now run predominately by her father, although there’s some uncertainty about who will take on this role when he steps back. Her second eldest brother has the best skillset for them, but her older sister is also very invested (being a fitness guru in her own right), and [name_f]Galla[/name_f] hopes the two don’t come into conflict, as they have naturally competitive personalities.

When she isn’t working on her school work or the club itself, [name_f]Galla[/name_f] enjoys going windsurfing and participating in other beach-based sports, adoring the coast thanks to spending a lot of her summers in Tropea (where her grandmother was born and emigrated from, after meeting Galla’s granddad). She also dotes upon the family dogs - [name_m]German[/name_m] Spitz [name_f]Tulip[/name_f] and Borzoi [name_f]Sunshine[/name_f] - who she takes for walks at least once a day, and if any Fashion and Design Club members are wary of her, seeing [name_f]Galla[/name_f] gush over the duo immediately wins people over.

Luciano “ Lucio “ Zio Pascoe D’Urbano (25) is the second-eldest brother of Galla. He loves working at the gym alongside he and Galla’s sister and he didn’t want to get into competitive mode with his sister although some people think he did. He truly didn’t however, he’s had such a long history. Lucio always jokingly thought, “Well maybe she’s just jealous of me,” but it wasn’t until last year that he realised she really had been jealous of him, although it’s been that way since they were toddlers. Every spring when they were young children, he loved to pick flowers for his parents but she couldn’t do it because she was allergic. Every summer when they were young children, he loved the ocean but she never went in because she didn’t know how to swim. Every autumn when they were young children, he loved the spooky season of Halloween but it wasn’t for her because she was too scared. Every winter when they were young children, he loved racing sleds but she didn’t enjoy as it as much because she never won. They both became very competitive although they enjoyed other different activities besides the business.

It was actually Galla who told Lucio that their sister has been secretly envying him and had wanted to be better at him in something. Lucio wasn’t as focused with things as Galla was so he never really saw it that way. He knew his sister was competitive but never believed she envied him that much. Lucio decided to turn to his best friend, the eldest son in the Thompson family. He reassured Lucio that his sister may have a point with the envy she felt about feeling “inferior” to him but that she should be more confident in herself as well. After all, she and Lucio had other activities that differed from each other and she could still feel great about those. Lucio’s sister enjoyed fashion, an interest she shared with Galla but not Lucio, although her style was more of a fitness-wear style. She also enjoyed techno music because it got her energy up, sailing because it gave her peace of mind, and archery because it helped with her precision and timing skills. But most importantly she really loved scavenger hunts, she’s done them during childhood, and has always found them fun but never had a chance to do them during adulthood…until today.

Lucio went to his sister and stated she’ll be doing a scavenger hunt. No competition, just her finding things from him. She was pumped to start when he gave her the first clue.

The Great Scavenger Hunt: In Haiku!

1. Go fashion forward. What better way to start than… With our sis Galla? Immediately Lucio’s sister knew this was their Fashion & Design Club at their school. Lucio and his sister got visitor badges at the front office and visited the club. Now Galla and the club members were all in on this and knew they’d be coming but the other D’Urbano sister was surprised. They designed a special fitness-wear top and pants for her and she was gratefully surprised. They told her to try it on and it was perfect. Great fit, great fashion, she felt a lot of self confidence wearing it. Lucio said she needs to wear it for the rest of the scavenger hunt, which she was more than happy to agree with. Right before they left the school, Galla gave her the next clue alongside the letters “F W” for Fitness Wear.

2. Somewhere around town. Where’s a good place for hot dogs? We’re not poking fun! Lucio’s sister knew right away that this was The Smoking Bun, the hot dog place Jaylin works at that has its rival Breadweiners. For this part of the scavenger hunt, Lucio’s sister had a choice to eat two mini hot dogs or one regular hot dog in two minutes. She chose the latter, succeeding! Jaylin gave her a novelty The Smoking Bun hat, the next clue, along with a salt packet and a napkin and the letters “S N”.

3. Where else would you be? The breeze running through the waves. On the open sea. She told Lucio this was related to sailing and he said she was right and they went to the harbour. For this part of the scavenger hunt, one of the boats had a clue and letters, and she’d have to find the boat that had it before sailing it. After looking through the harbour, she found the clue and the letters “S E”, which was the cue to sail southeast. She and Lucio put on their life jackets and sailed southeast, then read the next clue.

4. Give it your best shot. What do you have to lose now? Go hit the bullseye. After sailing southeast, they found an archery range. Yua’s childhood friend, also an expert archer, said that the D’Urbano sister had to shoot at the two targets and earn letters while doing so. She got the letters “E” for “Excellent” and “N” for “Nice” and a clue, but was told to sail back before reading the clue. “Yua and her family told you about haikus, didn’t they, Lucio?” Yua’s friend asked. “Yep, they’ve been quite a big help on that part,” he responded. Before sailing back, Yua’s childhood friend also gave her the word “Be”. She was intrigued that she was getting words now and wondered what this was all about.

5. Welcome back to shore. Notice anything new here? Boombox was added. “Hey there! Let’s dance!“ said a young woman named Kristina Plyer, friend to a few of their mutual friends. Kristina gave her some dance shoes and turned the boombox to some techno music and told Lucio’s sister to boogie as hard as she can and she gets more letters the more she jams out. She adored doing this because it gave her back some of that confidence she’s been seeking and she enjoying moving her body and dancing to the rhythm. Kristina loved her moves and gave her the word “To” and the letters “R I O T” but reassured it was all a riot of good fun. Kristina then handed her the next clue.

6. To fitness we go! Who’s the fittest one of all? Someday it will come. Lucio told his sister this was the final stop in the scavenger hunt. No more clues. No more letters. As for words? Well, they were about to get into that. His sister was equipped with a custom made fitness outfit, The Smoking Bun novelty hat, a life jacket, archery gloves, and dance shoes. In addition, she had the words “Be” and “To” alongside the letters “F W S N S E E N R I O T”. He told her, “Now for the tricky part — unscramble the letters you have. Since ‘Be’ and ‘To’ are words and not letters, they go after your phrase, not within — but not necessarily in that order. Immediately she knew that the end part was ordered “To Be” and not “Be To” but was having trouble unscrambling the main part. She responded, “This is tricky, I don’t know any words that have all of these letters in them.” Lucio chuckled and blushed, “Oops, that’s because it’s two words. Hey I’ll give you a hint, the first word is 7 letters and the second word is 5 letters. Just like the second sentence in a haiku is 7 syllables and the first and third are 5 syllables.“ She looked around for letters and something of that nature. She thought the second word might be “Riots” but she ruled it out because she didn’t feel Lucio would be the type to make a scavenger hunt about rioting. She started looking at the letters for doubles and felt there was probably a double lettering somewhere in the phrase. She also noticed “To Be” and questioned its relevance to the phrase she was trying to solve. She had no clue which letters were for which words and in hopes of finding the phrase, she started looking around the gym. This helped her find the first word, “FITNESS”. She was happy she was almost there and was surprised she got the 7-letter word before the 5-letter word. “Fitness something To Be?” she mumbled before looking at the last five letters. She then stopped in surprise.

Lucio asked, “So uh…did you solve the puzzle?” She questioned, “Fitness Owner To Be?” “Correct!” Lucio exclaimed. “You’re telling me you’re the Fitness Owner To Be?” she asked. Lucio smiled and led on, “No…” “I’m going to be the Fitness Owner To Be?” she asked, with her voice getting some excitement. “Yes!” Lucio beamed. She mumbled in shock, “I– I thought you wanted to take charge of the fitness business someday. Why are you saying it’s for me?” Lucio replied, “I have everything. You know we both had our competitive vibes but deep down, your passion for fitness is unmatched and passion gets a business farther. I may have skills but you’re a fitness guru. This is a place I like to stop by but for you — it’s basically your second home. Take it and enjoy it when your time comes, you deserve to be the best.” She smiled and hugged her brother, a closeless she never knew he had in him and a closeness she’s never felt before. They both knew she wasn’t technically the owner yet but knowing how she was going to accomplish this and that her brother was supporting her in this path rather than obstructing it was enough to make her day — in glory, jumped for joy!

[name_m]Fitzwilliam[/name_m] " [name_m]Fitz[/name_m] " [name_u]Cedar[/name_u] [name_m]Thompson[/name_m] (24) is Lucio’s best friend and the eldest [name_m]Thompson[/name_m] sibling. Their families have been friends since he and [name_m]Lucio[/name_m] met in preschool. He tries to stop by the gym at least twice a week to work out with [name_m]Lucio[/name_m]. [name_m]Fitz[/name_m] thinks what [name_m]Lucio[/name_m] did for his sister was great and is glad that the two of them are closer now. He’s close to all of his siblings even though he’s quite a bit older than them. They often come to him for advice about different things which he’s happy to give and he likes spending time with them.

[name_m]Fitz[/name_m] is a wedding photographer and loves his job. He hadn’t ever given much thought to getting married himself though. In his senior year of high school [name_m]Fitz[/name_m] was dating a girl but it ended a few months after graduation. Neither of them were mature enough at the time for a serious relationship and she was going to a college in a different state. They didn’t want to do long distance. It was very much a case of the right person but the wrong time. Last year she moved back and attended her older sister’s wedding…where [name_m]Fitz[/name_m] was the photographer. They celebrated their anniversary a week ago and he proposed, upsetting some of her family members who thought it was too soon. They’re both sure that this is the right decision though and won’t be getting married for another year anyway.

Fitz’s parents were young and unmarried when he was born which caused a lot of trouble with both sets of grandparents who haven’t seen any of their grandkids. [name_m]Fitz[/name_m] used to be really angry about that but now he just feels sad for them. He couldn’t imagine being so prejudiced that you would cut off your child and refuse to see your grandkids. [name_m]Fitz[/name_m] is glad that his parents have always been really supportive of their kids and he hopes to be like them if he ever has kids of his own. He’s currently living in an apartment with a college friend but plans on buying a house with his fiancée once they get married.

[name_m]Raphael[/name_m] [name_u]Pine[/name_u] [name_m]Thompson[/name_m] (17) is the final sibling, born between [name_m]Fitz[/name_m] and the triplets. In contrast to his siblings - who are seemingly on the verge of or in committed relationships - Raphael’s asexual and a little uncertain about whether romance will be something he pursues in the future, being of the opinion he’ll wait and see before making any major decisions. He’s always been the most cautious one of the bunch, which is a surprise to people given he wants to become an EMT, something at total odds with his measured demeanour; but, as many will point out, this is ideal due to the high pressure work environment he wants to enter. While he isn’t looking to date, Raphael’s fully supportive of [name_m]Fitz[/name_m] and his girlfriend, and if one of his sisters ends up asked out, he’s not the type to be overzealous in protective displays, instead standing by his principle of respecting their decisions and judgements. The reserved nature he embodies makes a lot of people compare [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] to his dad - an [name_f]English[/name_f] professor at a local college - and it’s never something he’s against hearing, as they’ve always shared a close bond. He got [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] into collecting antique books and perusing second hand shops for reading material, with it being his means of relaxing as well as a passion he shares with his friend group, who jokingly call themselves ‘The Bookworm Colony’.

When he isn’t out at unique shops or chilling with his friends - usually at the home of his best friend, who’s affectionately called [name_u]Saturn[/name_u] by their gang [a nickname you have to earn the background info on], who’s wealthy parents are often leaving him with a free house - Raphael’s focusing on his other passion, urban exploring. He’s not the greatest photographer in the world but takes his trusty sketchbook, admitting there’s something that fascinates him about disused or abandoned buildings, in spite of how melancholy some find them. For graduation, [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] and his three closest friends are planning on going on a road trip to visit forgotten theme parks, which is what inspired their love of wandering in the first place. [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] also has a pen-friend, who lives in Norway, and the two met through a programme set up by his middle school. His friend’s planning on coming to stay with the Thompson’s next summer and even the reserved [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] hasn’t been able to contain the excitement, as the two talk about pretty much every and anything on a weekly basis.

Although unassuming, and seemingly a little distant in comparison to the inseparable triplets or naturally assuring [name_m]Fitz[/name_m], Raphael’s close with them in ways that aren’t expressed in public often. He’s ideal to spend time with if you just want some peace and quiet, not being one to ask many questions but that’s why his siblings seek him out, as [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] never presses and just waits until you’re ready to speak. When it comes to the experiences of his parents, [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] was never particularly angry, more accepting of the way people behave and project onto those around them. One of the trio he’s planning on going travelling with had a very difficult upbringing - being taken into foster care at a young age due to his dysfunctional family environment - and this has led to [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] being a little more pessimistic, by his own admission; however he has immense respect for how his parents handled so much unfairness and expresses his admiration of them whenever he writes them birthday cards, very much being most affectionate when writing down his thoughts and feelings opposed to speaking them. Something that does amuse his sisters and [name_m]Fitz[/name_m] is whenever [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] lets his friends’ girlfriend practice nail art on him, coming home with some fun designs including Pokemon inspired as well as [name_u]Adventure[/name_u] Time.

Ford Samson Caulfield (17) is a friend in Raphael’s group and the younger brother of Megan Caulfield. Despite his darker hair and Megan’s blonde hair, he is not the one brought from foster care, he is biological. They say his dark hair makes him look like his first cousins once removed, who live an hour away, but he likes the compliment. He’s closest to Merry out of the 4 especially given their mutual status of being the youngest although Merry is technically a twin. His family is quite wealthy but they’re not greedy in any sense, except one of his uncles who is at bad blood with the family. Six years ago, Ford’s uncle kept talking about his grandfather (Ford’s great-grandfather) about to die and asking who was getting the inheritance. It made everyone uncomfortable and set people off, and nobody talked about him anymore. Jokes on his uncle, his great-grandfather is still alive and nearing 100 in January of next year. Ford is excited to see that next year but doesn’t talk about it too much - he fears this could end up like a Betty White thing if people “jinx it too hard”. He also never likes to make his news overshadow the news of others and Raphael’s news of meeting up with his Norwegian pen pal makes Ford excited for his friend, he knew how much Raphael bonded with this fellow teen.

Ford is the one called Saturn, which people assume is car-related especially given his racer jacket. Ford loves cars but it’s actually an astrological background. Ford is a Capricorn, which has the ruling planet Saturn, and he happened to be born on a Saturday, a day of the week named for Saturn. He’s recently celebrated his 17th birthday, making him a little younger than those who have been 17 for a few more months, but he’s not the youngest friend. He and his great-grandfather are both Capricorns although the latter is a January Capricorn. Not all of Ford’s friends are interested in astrology, the one most interested in this is actually their friend from foster care, who used it as a coping and escaping mechanism. Ford loves exploring and forgotten theme parks and enjoyed the former from the adventure books that ‘Bookworm Colony’ read and share. Adventure is Ford’s fave genre but one of the friends recently got him into biographies of real-life people, something that’s fascinated Ford for days learning about the lives of people in history. Forgotten theme parks are always intriguing Ford and he’s currently thinking a lot about that road trip. Ford himself also enjoys visiting underrated restaurants and loves the food he’s found there, doing this since he could drive.

Yǎyǔ ’ [name_f]Ilena[/name_f] ’ [name_m]Chen[/name_m] (17) is one of Ford’s friends with a fellow love of astrology, which has led to them becoming closer since it became apparent. Ilena’s an [name_u]Aries[/name_u] and very much embodies the atypical traits associated with them: generous, energetic, driven and courageous - however she can come across as a little tactless to some people, another downside people associate with her sign. She’s very blunt in how she goes about speaking to others, and doesn’t hold back on sharing her opinions, even if she hasn’t been asked for them, a habit that doesn’t make her the most popular when commenting on a delicate or fraught issue.

This is most common at home. Ilena’s the middle child, having an older sister and younger non-binary sibling, both of whom tend to have much thinner skin than her, leading to unintentional offense being taken when she tries mediating their arguments or giving advice. A common family joke is that she takes the most after their dad: a barrister and legal adviser who has a no-nonsense manner that’s legendary among his colleagues. While she’s never offended by the comparisons - [name_f]Ilena[/name_f] respects her father greatly and appreciates how, while he doesn’t enjoy astrology, he never diminishes her interests, or her siblings possess - it does sometimes exhaust her being seen as cutting, as it’s never something she intends.

Her joining the friend group actually ties to [name_u]Saturn[/name_u], as Ilena’s dad works with his mom, and he began inviting her to hangouts when she was new to the area. That was 4 years ago, when it became apparent to Ilena’s dad that his long commute from their old residence was taking its toll on him, and it was decided by her parents that it was best for them to relocate; although [name_f]Ilena[/name_f] does find herself missing their extended family, who are now a couple hours away.

Unlike her sister, who almost instantly knew what she wanted to pursue at college, Ilena’s less fixed. She knows she’d like to become involved in writing in some capacity, but isn’t sure if literature or creative is the course for her yet, and her mom’s encouraged [name_f]Ilena[/name_f] to not rush any decisions, instead just to focus on enjoying the freedoms of high school. When she isn’t avidly discussing retrograde or which moon is influencing certain signs the most, Ilena’s absolutely avid about collages and calligraphy: she loves creating visually pleasing pieces, several of which have been collaborative projects with her siblings for their parents wedding anniversaries.

She isn’t planning on being a YouTube star and she’s fully aware she’s a one-hit wonder but she doesn’t care. While her video was lighthearted, it was a serious topic especially given one of her friends. Not so much about [name_u]New[/name_u] Years but more about drunk driving. She has an on-again-off-again conflict with one of her former friends in college when she drove drunk 2 years ago on [name_u]New[/name_u] Years [name_u]Day[/name_u]. Her friend was pulled over by police and breathalysed before anyone was harmed, but got a DUI. She had to serve jail time and was forced to drop out of uni. Luwen felt bad because her then-friend had dreams to be in a law-related career herself, but she was angered that her friend stupidly threw out her future. Luwen doesn’t hate her but never wants her to underestimate how horrible her decision was and how lucky she was that it didn’t end worse. She doesn’t want this woman to think the viral video was a smear on her, seeing that she never revealed why the video was made to anyone on YouTube. Luwen wants her to make a better life for herself and not wish anything bad, but the incident has put a damper on the friendship and while they’re not enemies, they’re also not friends and Luwen is getting vibes that she’s a bad influence. The only thing Luwen said to her former friend following the DUI is, “I thought you knew better.”

Luwen is close with her family and has friends in her life that do make good decisions and she wants to keep them around forever. She and her younger non-binary sibling may see things in different ways but she loves them. She’s grateful for Ilena’s mediation even if she doesn’t show it right away, and it’s calmed her down as a person. [name_f]Ilena[/name_f] knows when Luwen is listening and understanding and is a good read on her sister’s body language. She’s currently doing a music piece for her parents’ upcoming wedding anniversary while [name_f]Ilena[/name_f] does calligraphy and they turn to [name_m]Fitz[/name_m] [name_m]Thompson[/name_m] for photography. Luwen is close with the Thompsons and finds them a very kind and cool group of people. Luwen is not Fitz’s fiancée and is just his friend, but she’s bonded with his fiancée over musical gigs and she hopes the best for this woman and [name_m]Fitz[/name_m]. Luwen herself is pansexual, having come out last year, and she’s had so much support from her family, particularly from her non-binary sibling, who she’s been getting along with so much more.
