Jordan Ivy Sheffield (27) is an American actress and singer who lives in Los Angeles with her boyfriend. They recently welcomed a baby son, that her boyfriend actually delivered by himself at home when labor suddenly started, and the midwife couldn’t make it. It was nerve wracking, but it was worth it. Some hobbies of hers is playing the guitar and singing, and hanging out with her friends, mainly her best friend.

[name_m]Colt[/name_m] [name_m]Evander[/name_m] [name_m]Sheffield[/name_m] (24 [name_u]February[/name_u] 1998 — 7 [name_u]March[/name_u] 2022, aged 24) was Evander’s maternal uncle, although the two never knew each other due to [name_m]Colt[/name_m] dying before [name_m]Evander[/name_m] was born. Evander’s first name was Colt’s middle name, and [name_m]Colt[/name_m] always loved the name [name_m]Evander[/name_m] but never went by it because, “Na. [name_m]Evander[/name_m] doesn’t suit me but if I had a son, I might actually consider that”. [name_u]Jordan[/name_u] had a family YouTube channel at one point called Jisces (pronounced “Pisces“ but with a J, [name_m]Colt[/name_m] actually came up with this, and [name_u]Jordan[/name_u] jokes “psh ok, that’s such a thing a Pisces like you would suggest haha”). However it was not a channel for her and her baby, it was actually a sibling channel between she and [name_m]Colt[/name_m], and its name was a word based from hers and his initials. YouTube classified them as a Family channel given their relation as siblings but neither of them really called their channel that and they found it cringey to label their channel as just one thing. [name_u]Jordan[/name_u] liked doing makeup and [name_m]Colt[/name_m] liked doing video games, but they didn’t do enough of that to classify the channel as a [name_f]Beauty[/name_f] or Gaming channel. Both of them have said in videos that classification is a joke and can be counterproductive in a fame career to only be known for one thing. After all outside her channel; [name_u]Jordan[/name_u] was an actress, guitarist, and singer and felt she deserved to be known for that just as much as being a YouTuber.

As for [name_m]Colt[/name_m], he was a college graduate who majored in [name_f]English[/name_f] and was planning to use that in his future but for now, he was currently working as a film editor. He just loves knowing the deleted and bonus scenes in a movie, alongside every secret little thing that could have been in a movie. [name_m]Colt[/name_m] is a fan of old Hollywood and despite not being born yet at the time, loves vintage LA culture and seeing how everything flourished over the decades. In fact, he likes it even older than old Hollywood and has a collection of silent films. He was an excellent skateboarder and professional piano player as well and liked to do this in his spare time. He and [name_u]Jordan[/name_u] still loved YouTube but they weren’t the type to be super hungry for views and subscribers, and they had actually had less focus on their channel than they did in earlier years. This was because the two were busy on their own paths, and not just in careers. [name_u]Jordan[/name_u] was pregnant, and she and her boyfriend were expecting their son Evander; while [name_m]Colt[/name_m] had been a character on a TV show recently renewed for S2.

While he wasn’t into big YouTube attention, he did attend the gender reveal party of another YouTube channel. This was a couple channel called FargoLuv, which was a young married couple whom [name_m]Colt[/name_m] ironically knew way back in elementary school. Mr. & Ms. [name_u]Fargo[/name_u] invited several YouTubers and were about to do a livestream gender reveal video and that ended…completely fatal. They got the coloured smoke bombs and blasted them out in the backyard. They could have a safer alternative or at least not popped off so much at once but the Fargos loved challenges. [name_m]Colt[/name_m] seemed completely panicked at the idea; none of the guests were told how this gender would be revealed. [name_u]Jordan[/name_u] had a gender reveal but it was just the simple “blue inside the cake” reveal. In the video, [name_m]Colt[/name_m] was literally heard asking, “Uh, if you want to be crafty, can’t you just use paint or something?” but the [name_u]Fargo[/name_u] couple ignored it and counted to three, setting off the smoke bombs. What started out as a pretty pink colour turned into a scary orange flame when the backyard started catching on fire, in which the video was cut, and titled “GENDER REVEAL GONE WRONG”. The couple grabbed the hose and sprayed the backyard, but the blaze caused a dead tree to fall down, landing on [name_m]Colt[/name_m] when he tried to run. While the Fargos managed to hose down the tree before it burned him to a crisp, [name_m]Colt[/name_m] was seriously injured and had breathed in some carbon monoxide. He was hospitalised and succumbed to his condition two days later. After Colt’s passing, the video was removed and the [name_u]Fargo[/name_u] couple was suspended. FargoLuv was canceled and the couple faced serious legal consequences of the damage causing death. Jisces fans were extremely angered and feuded online with FargoLuv fans, but [name_u]Jordan[/name_u] herself didn’t engage with the drama. She did post a video stating she will miss her younger brother and that the channel is on hiatus, but that she loves her fans. The show [name_m]Colt[/name_m] was on continued, but killed his character off and memorialised that episode to him.

[name_u]Jordan[/name_u] and her boyfriend can’t get how senseless Colt’s death was and how something like a gender reveal party took his life because the couple had to go dangerous because it “garnered more attention”. It was a heartbreaking loss and yet, at the same time, a petty mishap. Two songs on her album released that year were about the controversy, one was a rage song while the other was a dedication song. In an interview, when asked if she’d accept Colt’s passing, she commented, “Well I’m going to have to handle my grief and gradually get by every day. But what happened was senseless stupidity of a couple trying to be cool and get famous and it resulted in an innocent death. I hope their daughter is okay after she’s born but I don’t feel bad for them; all they cared about was that they were going to jail and wouldn’t be able to feature their daughter in videos. Why would an infant daughter even need to be in videos?” Their daughter ended up adopted after she was born as the couple was deemed unfit to raise her after their prison term ended. On the bright side, [name_u]Jordan[/name_u] has felt a love for her boyfriend during that time and didn’t take anything for granted. Her pregnancy with her son-to-be at the time helped her through everything she’s had to process. She let her son take her boyfriend’s last name but based his first name from what [name_m]Colt[/name_m] would have wanted for the son he never had. The middle name [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m]? Purely Jordan’s idea as she loved how classic but timeless it worked as a middle name and she adored how it would be on him. Jordan’s friends have also helped her through her life at that time and also made sure to keep everything light with her pregnancy. [name_u]Jordan[/name_u] had been going through some stress which led to her labour with [name_m]Evander[/name_m] a little less than 2 weeks early. Her boyfriend was tasked with delivering her son, something neither were prepared for, but he managed it exceptionally well. [name_u]Jordan[/name_u] and [name_m]Evander[/name_m] were doing great despite the birth circumstances and [name_m]Evander[/name_m] is growing healthy and strong. [name_u]Jordan[/name_u] and the friends of her boyfriend have also been super motivating to [name_m]Evander[/name_m]. Recently [name_u]Jordan[/name_u] and her boyfriend have found a way to get [name_m]Evander[/name_m] to stop his crying — silent films. They’re enough to engage him but the silence also makes him silent with them as well. Of course, [name_m]Evander[/name_m] doesn’t quite get what’s going on and can’t even read but as long as there’s nothing inappropriate, they’ll show him just about any film from Colt’s old collection. One day they know [name_m]Evander[/name_m] will grow up and get some memories of his late uncle [name_m]Colt[/name_m], but for now, they’re happy with just the littlest reminders of him to make [name_m]Evander[/name_m] happy.

[name_u]Morgan[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] Holbert-Archie (27) is the mom who adopted the FargoLuv baby. She actually has a different YouTube channel in [name_u]Houston[/name_u], [name_u]Texas[/name_u], called The Holbert Sisters with her three sisters, who are all dancers. When she heard about the FargoLuv couple going to jail and not featuring their daughter in their videos, [name_u]Morgan[/name_u] offered to adopt their baby, so she could be safe. [name_u]Morgan[/name_u] is the oldest of the Holbert sister, and she and her husband were married for nearly five years, but before she adopted her daughter, she suffered three miscarriages. She was not making any progress with pregnancy, so she and her husband decided to do adoption or surrogacy, and that’s where the *FargoLuv” couple came in.

The [name_u]Fargo[/name_u] mother was 5 months pregnant at the gender reveal party and the couple knew her gender - they just wanted the party for YouTube views. After the fire and freak accident, the [name_u]Fargo[/name_u] parents were handcuffed for reckless endangerment, which later added a count for involuntary manslaughter. However they pleaded not guilty, claiming they weren’t responsible for the damage, which people felt was just a way for them to save face. They also knew from FargoLuv’s social media that they were planning to use [name_f]Alison[/name_f] for their videos as a family channel. Despite the media controversy, there were still a few obsessed FargoLuv fans who would defend the couple no matter what, one even saying “Give birth to your daughter in court. The jury will say is this so sweet and they’ll never find you guilty.” Ms. [name_u]Fargo[/name_u] gave birth months before her court proceedings were to begin and was so charmed when her daughter was born, that she chose to just say she and her husband were guilty. She realised she wasn’t going to get off as not guilty and just wanted to get out of jail faster to have more time with her. This backfired, her daughter was immediately placed up for adoption after that confession. It was a reckless move of her but to be fair, the couple was always reckless. Rumour has it that they separated before prison, with her husband angry at her for confessing, because he was determined to see it through and be ruled not guilty.

[name_u]Morgan[/name_u] and her husband were already on the waitlist for who they plan to adopt. They loved the idea of infants but didn’t mind as long as they were giving someone a loving home. They were approved to adopt [name_f]Alison[/name_f] which they accepted, and changed [name_u]Baby[/name_u] [name_f]Girl[/name_f] [name_u]Fargo[/name_u] to [name_f]Alison[/name_f] [name_f]Madge[/name_f] Holbert-Archie when the adoption proceedings finalised. [name_f]Alison[/name_f] has only been newly adopted into Morgan’s family but she’s just a sweet little gem. While [name_u]Morgan[/name_u] has a YouTube channel of her own, she’s kept information about her adoptive daughter out of the spotlight. Fans of The Holbert Sisters know [name_u]Morgan[/name_u] has a daughter who’s adopted but [name_u]Morgan[/name_u] hasn’t discussed any details about Alison’s birth family online, especially since her birth parents were also YouTubers prior to falling from grace. [name_f]Alison[/name_f] isn’t featured as a member of the channel and is just enjoying her life as a 6-month-old baby, knowing the ins and outs of her world she’s adapted to. Her aunts absolutely adore her and take turns nurturing and bonding her. Alison’s adoptive father also adores her and he loves feeding her baby food with a tiny spoon. She’s in a family that loves and cares about her and she has smart and responsible parents now and is living a good life.

[name_u]Greer[/name_u] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] Holbert (21) is the youngest of the sister’s, and the primary source behind the software use, editing and cinematic components of the YouTube channel. Having opted against attending college, Greer’s decision came from how much stress her school exams put her through, and she knew she wouldn’t be able to handle the higher level equivalent. Her dream is still being involved in film production to some degree - perhaps as a cinematographer or editor, she isn’t too fussed if it means being involved in the industry - but for now she’s happy to be involved in the YouTube channel. Greer’s typically the least seen of the trio, a combination of her personal choice and also being involved in other projects [she works as a freelance editor for other influencers and content creators, for both exposure and extra money], which has seen more speculation about her personality, but it mostly amuses [name_u]Greer[/name_u], as the fanbase tends to tote her as intriguing and mysterious: traits she doesn’t feel she actually embodies, more being introverted and preferring a more laidback approach to her life.

[name_f]Alison[/name_f] is absolutely adored by [name_u]Greer[/name_u] in spite of how she tends to enjoy calm activities such as chalk artwork and listening to podcasts discussing online media, and her youngest aunt’s always happy to take her on trips or play games with her if Morgan’s needing some time for herself. The channel has altered its content since she entered the family, specifically so [name_f]Alison[/name_f] isn’t being exposed to the online world, and while she has been referenced in videos, her name’s kept private, with her merely being referred to ‘Midge’ affectionately when mentioned in videos. Thanks to her background, it’s been agreed within the family that she won’t be involved in anything unless she grows up and shows her own interest, but this will hopefully be after her biological parents are discussed with [name_f]Alison[/name_f], as no-one wants her being traumatised or attacked thanks to the selfish recklessness the Fargo’s engaged in for the sake of attention.

It’s also been precedent for [name_u]Greer[/name_u] that her friends aren’t sucked into the sisters’ online personas and career. A couple of her friends have happily engaged in this - one of them’s an influencer who’s done collaborations with the channel - but boundaries are very important to [name_u]Greer[/name_u], especially given how pressure impacted her attitude towards school and academic achievements. Outside of her YouTube career and work within online communities, [name_u]Greer[/name_u] can be found at her own apartment - which she shares with two friends, one of whom’s the influencer [as their schedules are compatible and it isn’t intrusive filming around her in particular] - where she’s doting upon her beloved rescue dog, [name_m]Bingo[/name_m] the [name_m]Black[/name_m] Lab, who she adopted as a graduation gift. She’s in a relationship with a programming student who she met through her work in the digital sphere and [name_u]Greer[/name_u] absolutely adores her girlfriend. Her platform has been used to promote LGTBQIA+ awareness and acceptance, but like with her niece, Greer’s kept her girlfriend off-camera and enjoys the calm of her relationship.

[name_f]Petrina[/name_f] [name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_f]Tona[/name_f] (21) is Greer’s roomie and the one who is not an influencer. [name_f]Petrina[/name_f] does online college and is majoring in information studies. She has met and totally supports Greer’s girlfriend. She loves the couple and claims they’re inseparable. She can be a bit corny, but being raised by a single father and having an aunt who is a couple’s counselor has made her well aware in terms of how relationships last. Ironically [name_f]Petrina[/name_f] herself is single, she did have someone before but the relationship was uncomfortable and [name_f]Petrina[/name_f] knew it wouldn’t last - so why not nip it in the bud as soon as possible? [name_f]Petrina[/name_f] is openly bisexual but doesn’t feel romantic attraction to any of her roomies and is especially aware that people in a relationship are off-limits, feeling low of those who act otherwise.

[name_f]Petrina[/name_f] actually used to be more foolish and less level-headed. When she was 11, she tried to make a viral video of herself trying to lip-sync to a techno song wearing goofy face paint. The video had no views and has been long deleted, but [name_f]Petrina[/name_f] still insists on “not talking about that time”. On her 13th birthday, she tried to make another viral video of she and friends (one being the influencer friend) doing an EXTREME MALL HIDE AND SEEK — exactly what you think it is, Hide & Seek in a mall. This viral video idea failed not because [name_f]Petrina[/name_f] got no views but because she got so wrapped up in the general fun, that she decided to just live it in the now and forget about the video. Deep down she regrets that now, not as a YouTube hit but just so she can watch it to herself whenever she likes. [name_f]Petrina[/name_f] was the seeker and immediately made a beeline to the other side of the mall and on the other floors because she knew peoples’ instincts were to hide as far away from her as they can. Before that, she did happen to find a hider who was in the store closest to her, that hider was trying reverse psychology and it would have worked — if she didn’t make herself so conspicuous. From then, Petrina’s idea of the farthest places in the mall paid off and she got a lot of people around the other side on various floors. So who won? The influencer and now-roommate, who hid in plain sight — wearing a hat, sunglasses, and coat, posing with the mannequins and staying still. She even changed pose when [name_f]Petrina[/name_f] wasn’t looking just to see if she would notice but it slipped her mind!

Now, she’s off YouTube and knows the influencer life is not for her but won’t see people as any lesser if they are influencers. [name_f]Petrina[/name_f] loves to have fun but admits the biggest cringey moment was at 15, commenting “ur hot” on an influencer’s photo, who was actually known now as the male [name_u]Fargo[/name_u] in the infamous FargoLuv. [name_f]Petrina[/name_f] hates FargoLuv although she knows the least about them and wasn’t that knowledgeable of the FargoLuv controversy until meeting [name_f]Alison[/name_f]. Also, she can’t remember which photo she posted it on and swears she’ll “delete it when she finds which photo it is” although she truthfully does not want to scroll through all the photos. One thing that’s made [name_f]Petrina[/name_f] feel better about herself is her Navajo heritage. That’s something that’s stuck with her since birth, so it’s something she can always feel pride about no matter when. She loved it then and loves it now. It’s something she’s celebrated from time to time and something she’ll never ever regret. [name_f]Petrina[/name_f] loves animals and was happy when [name_m]Bingo[/name_m] was brought along. Recently the girls have found some “unofficial pets”, a little family of squirrels, hanging outside the complex. The girls don’t actually interact with the squirrels because they don’t want to disturb them, but they find it so cute when they come. It’s a mother and father squirrel and four baby squirrels. [name_f]Petrina[/name_f] has already named the mother [name_f]Betsy[/name_f] and father [name_m]Bucky[/name_m] but let the other two decide on the baby squirrels’ names. [name_f]Petrina[/name_f] finds it wholesome that they keep coming back outside the building and hopes they never leave.

His mom, Petrina’s sister-in-law, died a week after he was born from complications of Covid, but he still has his father, Petrina’s brother.

Sunny Amelia Birkenlaw (18 months) is Robert’s maternal cousin closest in age, being the daughter of his late mother’s brother. In the aftermath of such trauma, Sunny’s been a source of light alongside her baby cousin, constantly showering her parents and grandparents with embraces and little smiles. Her name has entirely dictated her nature, not that anyone complains, with Sunny being a very positive spirit, who approaches everything with enthusiasm. The only thing that can spoil the little girl’s mood is when her parents are taken away from her for too long, or someone takes away her beloved cloth ballet doll - Becca - and she’s thrown into a very open spiral of horror at this separation.

Although the original plan for Sunny was to have Amelia as her first name - the Birkenlaw family typically preferring traditional one’s - last minute minds were changed, and they’re pleased to have gone ahead with this, as it allows immediate distinction between her and Robert, the main remaining peace of a lost loved one the family have. In spite of there being some worries Sunny might envy her little cousin, she’s been nothing but highly excited, and has insisted on helping picking out toys for him: not through words but by grabbing her favourite items when shopping trips occur. Sunny’s too young to fully comprehend the pain her family’s going through, but seeing them smile is absolutely the most important thing to her, and her mood evidently improves when she succeeds.

[name_f]Catherine[/name_f] “Cath” [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] [Birkenlaw] [name_f]Tona[/name_f] (13 [name_u]February[/name_u] 1997–19 [name_f]April[/name_f] 2023, aged 26) was the late aunt of [name_u]Sunny[/name_u], mother of [name_m]Anthony[/name_m], and sister-in-law of [name_f]Petrina[/name_f]. Cath wasn’t an overly traditional personality but she was very loved by her family and enjoyed her family’s traditions more often than not. While she was a tomboy working at the local skate shop, she loved the feeling of wearing her paternal grandmother’s wedding dress as her bridal gown for the wedding she had with her husband over a year before Anthony’s birth. Her grandmother was very simple with her gown but that’s what made it so usable for other weddings because with such a simple dress, it could be easily accessorised with whatever the bride chose as a bit of personalisation. Cath is glad her grandmother chose a simple dress for her wedding that wasn’t a froufrou old lace style that wouldn’t age well. Cath felt beautiful in her gown as the bride she wanted to be while retaining her touch with her family, given her mother and aunt have worn the dress before with their own styles of accessories and one of her cousins is going to use the dress tradition for her wedding as well.

Cath thankfully got to know [name_u]Sunny[/name_u] well before she passed away and although she was pregnant with [name_m]Anthony[/name_m] for the majority of the time she interacted with [name_u]Sunny[/name_u], she didn’t let pregnancy symptoms and mood swings ruin any sweet bond she had with [name_u]Sunny[/name_u] - especially since seeing [name_u]Sunny[/name_u] reminded her how happy she’d be to have her own son [name_m]Anthony[/name_m]. Cath loved Sunny’s name and was grateful her brother and sister-in-law chose such a nice name for her while still keeping the traditional [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] in the middle. Cath often bonded with [name_u]Sunny[/name_u] over her doll [name_f]Becca[/name_f], something she found cute even if the girliness wasn’t her style otherwise. She would be happy that [name_u]Sunny[/name_u] is making the family have a little more positivity now.

While Cath was vaccinated and took protocols against coronavirus, she was infected shortly after the birth of her son [name_m]Anthony[/name_m]. The birthing centre was closed on lockdown following Cath and another woman contracting the virus at said centre but given the usual cleanliness of the place and the fact both women had a negative test at the time they delivered their babies, it was unknown if they were in the incubation period before or after the births. However Cath tested positive not too long after the birth of [name_m]Anthony[/name_m] so while she did have a beautiful photo of her holding her child, it would be the only photo they would have together. Cath sadly had to be separated from her son to avoid giving him the virus while [name_m]Anthony[/name_m] was closely monitored to make sure he would not contract the virus. Cath often video-chatted her family while she was hospitalised with coronavirus and they were grateful to talk to her. Still, they knew how awful it was for her to have to be separated at a time like this plus they could tell she was getting worse with each chat. Fortunately, [name_m]Anthony[/name_m] was safe and would never have been infected by the horrible disease, but unfortunately Cath would never be reunited with [name_m]Anthony[/name_m] in-person again after succumbing to the virus a week after Anthony’s birth. It’s since brought devastating news to the family since Cath had constantly been telling her brother and husband how badly she dreamed of motherhood and everything she wanted to see her son do. However they knew she was gifted just to be able to hold [name_m]Anthony[/name_m] and that no other members of the family have been infected. Cath was cremated since her passing and her ashes were sprinkled into a river under the bridge where her widower proposed to her. The family has taken solace in both [name_m]Anthony[/name_m] and [name_u]Sunny[/name_u] giving them wonderful spirits since her passing and they know Cath would have loved to see the babies in such happy moods, making the family feel special.

Having her daughter has eased the process of grieving considerably for [name_f]Lula[/name_f], although most of her anxiety was focused on her partner, who was understandably devastated by the untimely passing of his sister. With the permission of Mr and Mrs Birkenlaw, the couple are going to use [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] or [name_m]Victor[/name_m] as the middle name of their next child, although actual conception isn’t going to be that imminent. [name_u]Asa[/name_u] met his girlfriend, [name_f]Stella[/name_f], in the 11th grade, and he ended up getting her pregnant with their older daughter, [name_f]Kaia[/name_f]. Asa’s parents were furious, and he ended up getting kicked out of his house. He spent some time living in friends’ houses or on the streets. It was a horrible time for him and he got addicted to multiple drugs. His girlfriend had their daughter and decided to raise her, because she ran away from home after her parents found out she was pregnant. She begged [name_u]Asa[/name_u] to get some help so that they could provide a life for their daughter and themselves, and after going to jail for smuggling and selling illegal substances, he was court ordered to go to [name_f]Lula[/name_f]. After getting better, [name_u]Asa[/name_u] started school at a community college. He wants to be an engineer.

A year after all of this, [name_u]Asa[/name_u] and his girlfriend got pregnant again, this time with [name_u]Kensley[/name_u]. He got back in touch with his older brother, [name_m]Garrett[/name_m], and they have been talking more. [name_m]Garrett[/name_m] is trying to help [name_u]Asa[/name_u] get back in touch with their parents and older sister, [name_f]Hannah[/name_f]. [name_m]Garrett[/name_m] has even introduced [name_u]Asa[/name_u] to his wife, [name_f]Emily[/name_f], & their 1 year old son [name_u]Easton[/name_u]. [name_u]Asa[/name_u] is so happy to be reunited with his brother, who he looked up to all of his childhood. He loves how [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] & [name_u]Kensley[/name_u] are friends with sweet [name_u]Easton[/name_u], and he’s hoping to meet his sister and her new family soon. Although [name_u]Asa[/name_u] has turned his life around, [name_u]Lane[/name_u] is still struggling to combat her addiction and dealing with couch hopping and money mooching as well as just getting by day to day, just so she can get a hit. [name_u]Lane[/name_u] was friends with [name_u]Asa[/name_u] during the darkest times of his life, and they have been arrested and homeless together several times. While [name_u]Asa[/name_u] went to jail and eventually turned out better in the end, [name_u]Lane[/name_u] always was able to get out of being convicted for some reason or another.

Lane’s family really wants her to get help, but they are beginning to lose hope. Having seen that [name_u]Lane[/name_u] has very little interest in recovering, Asa’s and Lane’s connection has been cut off seeing [name_u]Lane[/name_u] could very well encourage him to relapse, and she has tried before. Lane’s older brother who’s in his 30s has adopted a 6-year-old girl with his partner and her twin sister has actually recently been found out to be pregnant. [name_u]Lane[/name_u] wants to meet her brother’s child and be supportive of her sister’s pregnancy, but for the sake of the 6 year old and the newborn’s wellbeing, they don’t want her to until she’s clean for at least a year. This has been a source of arguments between the siblings, as while [name_u]Lane[/name_u] does want these things she wants the drugs more. Given that her brother’s adoptive child has a pretty rough past, he doesn’t want to further affect the traumatized child, so the rule stands.

Lately, [name_u]Delaney[/name_u] has been considering going to [name_u]Asa[/name_u] -being unaware he even has a child now- for help because she hates that she’s been remaining stagnant while her family moves on, but she hasn’t made any final decisions yet. For now, she’s just been getting high and sleeping on friends’ couches, sometimes the streets if she can’t find a place to stay. [name_u]Lane[/name_u] knows it’s ultimately up to her to get better and no one can do it for her, it’s just taking that leap that’s difficult for her.

[name_u]Dakota[/name_u] " [name_u]Dacy[/name_u] " [name_f]Morven[/name_f] Babcock (23) is Lane’s sister and first-time expectant mother, who’s found herself having to step back regarding the interventions surrounding her twin. This wasn’t easy for [name_u]Dacy[/name_u], however she and her partner know their baby has to come first, even if it means difficult boundaries are being put in place where Lane’s concerned. [name_m]Prior[/name_m] to this happening, [name_u]Dacy[/name_u] tended to be the most patient where [name_u]Lane[/name_u] was concerned, and also the most forgiving of her associated behaviours when withdrawal or resentment pushed her sister to actively try antagonising their parents. It might be linked to the natural comparisons twins in particular are subjected to, and of course, people consider the Babcocks’ a particular spectacle given the substance abuse aspect.

Another major diversion point for [name_u]Lane[/name_u] and [name_u]Dacy[/name_u] were their friend groups. [name_u]Dacy[/name_u] preferred the quieter types while [name_u]Lane[/name_u] was a party girl, and they moved in different circles by the end of middle school, as honestly [name_u]Dacy[/name_u] knew Lane’s friends considered her a burden when it came to her shyness holding her back. This is something that does now cause arguments between the sisters, as [name_u]Dacy[/name_u] wants [name_u]Lane[/name_u] to break away from those who enable her, while they’re the main support her twin claims to have: it’s ongoing, repetitive and mostly a headache for both parties, but [name_u]Dacy[/name_u] shares Lane’s stubborn side, even if she hides it more. Knowing her sister won’t be involved in her child’s life for the foreseeable future hurts her deeply, but she knows it really is the best thing for everyone, including [name_u]Lane[/name_u].

Sung-Sook ‘Suki’ Jieun Yang (25, she/her) who worked on the movie “Gasps of Air” with [name_u]Dacy[/name_u] and her partner. [name_f]Suki[/name_f] was born in [name_u]Texas[/name_u]. Her mother moved to [name_u]Texas[/name_u] for university and never returned to [name_u]South[/name_u] Korea after meeting Suki’s father. Suki’s father’s family is also [name_u]South[/name_u] Korean, but they have lived in [name_u]Texas[/name_u] their entire lives. The family has visited Korea to give [name_f]Suki[/name_f] an idea of her heritage, but [name_f]Suki[/name_f] loves living in the US and always manages to deflect conversations her mother tries to start about moving back to [name_u]South[/name_u] Korea to be “closer to family.” [name_f]Suki[/name_f] makes the point that her father’s parents live in the US, so they are close to family.

[name_f]Suki[/name_f] has worked on a number of short films and documentaries doing various things, but mostly working on costumes, makeup, hair & SFX, something that she likes to implement in her day to day life, as she believes life should be lived in color. Gasps of [name_f]Air[/name_f] was by far her favourite, as she loved working with the back stage crew and she says it is one of the best teams she has ever worked with. She particularly worked with [name_u]Dacy[/name_u] as [name_u]Dacy[/name_u] was head of special effects and [name_f]Suki[/name_f] was head of makeup so the two areas of work often collided, leading [name_u]Dacy[/name_u] & [name_f]Suki[/name_f] to arrange a meet up outside of work. [name_f]Suki[/name_f], being bisexual, initially had a bit of a crush on [name_u]Dacy[/name_u], until word got round that Dacy’s current partner also had a crush on [name_u]Dacy[/name_u], and [name_f]Suki[/name_f] viewed how smitten [name_u]Dacy[/name_u] was with them and backed away from the situation and can now confidently say that she only views [name_u]Dacy[/name_u] purely platonically. The two meet up regularly and have both applied to work on a short film called ‘Start of the End’ and hope that they can work together again, as they work really well together, which was noticed by the crew of their last short movie who praised their teamwork to the director, who gave them a special mention at the end of the movie.

A hobby [name_f]Suki[/name_f] has always liked to pursue professionally is music. [name_f]Suki[/name_f] can play the guitar, piano & the flute and has been told she has a decent voice. Last year [name_f]Suki[/name_f] made the backing track for a indie movie and has done bits of backup singing but the most she’s made out of it is about $150, so she would not thinking about taking it up professionally right now, not until she has permanent housing and a partner to rely on.

[name_u]Oberon[/name_u] ’ [name_u]Tobin[/name_u] ’ [name_m]Matthias[/name_m] van Veld (23) is Dacy’s partner and expectant father of her unborn child - being comfortable using that term, as well as ‘dad’, when speaking about xeir parental terminology. In comparison to [name_f]Suki[/name_f], [name_u]Tobin[/name_u] was much more apparent in their feelings towards [name_u]Dacy[/name_u], mostly because he’ll always acknowledge to be the kind of person who can’t hide a crush. This is partly because it was such a rare occurrence for them, and now Tobin’s fully aware of his own demisexuality, especially appreciating the term as it helped family members understand when being educated.

Unlike [name_u]Dacy[/name_u] and [name_f]Suki[/name_f], [name_u]Tobin[/name_u] actually moved to the States from the Netherlands to pursue xeir career in sound production. While xey visit their family and childhood home in Alkmaar frequently - being very openly proud of their heritage and culture - [name_u]Tobin[/name_u] knew that international indie circuits have greater resources, although one they hope to return home and see the [name_m]Dutch[/name_m] industry flourish more. And, for as shy as xey can be when discussing their relationship, [name_u]Tobin[/name_u] admits xey wouldn’t have remained in the US if not for meeting [name_u]Dacy[/name_u], who’s given him a genuine reason to stay.

While she’s tried to protect him from the issues going on regarding [name_u]Lane[/name_u], Tobin’s not only firm in supporting xeir girlfriend but ensuring that this part of the Babcock family’s life is kept private within the film world. Addiction is a commonly occurring issue which he appreciates a lot of people want to discuss, but as [name_u]Lane[/name_u] has nothing to do with it - and Dacy’s shouldered so much, even before falling pregnant - Tobin’s clear in boundaries being established to protect the woman xey love’s privacy. Their introverted, professional nature does help with this, which they’re relieved and happy to use for Dacy’s benefit.
