[name_f]Annemarie[/name_f] " [name_u]Andi[/name_u] " [name_f]Shonda[/name_f] [Hollis] Kolfa (36) is Emre’s wife, mother to [name_u]Everly[/name_u], [name_u]Reece[/name_u] and [name_u]Braxton[/name_u], who’s due to give birth in two months time! Naturally there’s been a bevy of questions from her children, mostly about names: all [name_u]Andi[/name_u] will confirm is she and [name_m]Emre[/name_m] have chosen a Turkish one for their child, so their heritage remains closely incorporated into their life. This will actually be the first time she and [name_m]Emre[/name_m] experience raising a child from infancy, as [name_u]Reece[/name_u] - who’s now 14 - was fostered by them when he was 7, whereas [name_u]Everly[/name_u] joined the family when she’d just crossed into toddlerhood, meaning it’ll be another new step for the couple, not that they’re too intimidated by change.
What a lot of people remember about [name_u]Andi[/name_u] is her patience. She can weather just about anything, be it hyperactive turns from her kids or the most bizarre questions at the library where she works part-time, where her son’s usually stop by after school to walk home with her [Reece less so now as it’s not ‘cool’ to spend so much time with your mother, y’know]. It’s something [name_u]Andi[/name_u] considers a by-product of her background, witnessing serious chaos for the first seven years of her life, before weathering the fears of settling in her new family.
[name_m]Born[/name_m] as [name_f]Annemarie[/name_f] Mullen, her parents were actually semi-famous in their own right, having been part of the southern wrestling scene. By the time [name_u]Andi[/name_u] was born, they were also hard-core drug users, specifically GBH and cocaine, spending the majority of their time high when they weren’t working. Andi’s birth father also had numerous affairs throughout his relationship with her mother, sometimes introducing his only child to his girlfriends, which furthered her sense of displacement and lack of calm, often questioning what the point of structure was as it was never modelled to her. Her mother was content to ignore this - focusing on her own addictions - and this is why Andi’s always been so determined to be available to her loved one’s, as that lack of clarity - for better or worse - is what plagued her mind growing up.
