🌼 create a family with a twist

Liberata " [name_f]Libby[/name_f] " [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] Burkelaw (6) is the best friend of Zara’s older son, and of course this creates the expected jokes about them being boyfriend and girlfriend, something [name_f]Libby[/name_f] absolutely refuses to let linger. The two met when they were only three after the Burkelaw family moved into the house opposite the Griesenbeck’s, and a fast bond developed thanks to both kids having a mutual obsession with patterned animals: Libby’s favourite has always been giraffes. They also bonded thanks to being the oldest child in their families, although [name_f]Libby[/name_f] has twin younger siblings - a boy and girl - who she’s glad are more interested in bickering with one another about who’s the authority than questioning her. She loves them dearly though, in spite of how she has to act as the judge in their disagreements in the place of their parents [leading to jokes [name_f]Libby[/name_f] should study lore, although if it doesn’t involve animals, she’ll likely not be swayed].

Her mother’s met when her mama had come from Birmingham to study in abroad, subsequently meeting her future wife and settling as she very much was pursuing a fresh start. They combined their surnames - [name_u]Lawson[/name_u] and Burkley - as a further indictment of their fresh start with their family. A tradition they’ve started for themselves is celebrating both mother’s days in the household, dedicating one day per woman, and [name_f]Libby[/name_f] takes her responsibilities in this seriously. She always organises painting something or making a clay model, depending on which mother she’s crafting for. Libby’s mom’s also been starting to introduce her to knitting, and her dream is to make her own giraffe scarf, something she’s only told her best friend about. In spite of their closeness, the two have forged a friend group at school together, and [name_f]Libby[/name_f] loves spending time with a multitude of personalities, always trying her hardest to memorise unique facts about others. Her hair’s also a point of pride for the little girl, who named one of their guinea pigs - whose fur is reddish - Gingerbread, and she absolutely dotes upon him at every given chance.

happy mother’s day from the UK :dove: !
