I have three [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]'s in my family. My mum’s mum is [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] ([name_f]Betty[/name_f]), my cousin on my dad’s side married an [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] ([name_f]Libby[/name_f]) and before we had met her my other cousin named her daughter [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] ([name_f]Beth[/name_f]).
I also have an uncle named [name_f]Claire[/name_f] (yes i did say uncle) and my partner’s sister is [name_u]Clair[/name_u]. My partner’s family has two Noels, two [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f]'s and two [name_u]Joan[/name_u]'s over different generations and that’s just first names.
To make this all more complicated my dad and my uncle are both called [name_m]Brian[/name_m] after uncles in their families. Topped with my brother who is called [name_m]Bryant[/name_m].
And my nephews are [name_m]Lawson[/name_m] and [name_m]Jamerson[/name_m], who share the same middle name [name_m]Peter[/name_m] after our grandad.
My dad’s name is [name_m]Scott[/name_m] [name_m]Bryan[/name_m] and my name is [name_m]Bryan[/name_m] [name_m]Scott[/name_m]. My little brother’s name is Brayton [name_m]Scott[/name_m]. They “made up” Brayton by using the letters in [name_m]Bryan[/name_m]. I don’t mind TOO much but sometimes I do wish my parents would have been more creative. My brother and I’s names just kind of seem lazy to me.
My youngest sister’s middle name is [name_f]Brynn[/name_f]. It’s a combination of some part of all my siblings and parents’ names. (Br from mn [name_m]Brian[/name_m]/[name_m]Bryan[/name_m]/Brayton/[name_f]Brianna[/name_f]/mn [name_m]Briant[/name_m] and -ynn from my mom and my sister’s middle name, [name_u]Lynn[/name_u]). I thought that was cool how we could do that!
My step-sister an I share the exact same name, [name_f]Amy[/name_f]. She is a lot older than me and I’ve only met her once, but it’s confusing for my poor step-dad who has two “daughters” named [name_f]Amy[/name_f]!
I am [name_f]Jennette[/name_f] [name_f]Leah[/name_f]. I’m named after my grandmothers: [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] [name_f]Jeanette[/name_f] and [name_f]Donna[/name_f] [name_f]Lea[/name_f].
My son is [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m] [name_m]Christian[/name_m] sharing a middle with his father [name_u]Shawn[/name_u] [name_m]Christian[/name_m] (a family name on both sides of our family)
