Faith, Hope, Joy, Love or Grace?

If you had to choose between just these, which one and why?

As a first name?

As a middle name?

[name_f]Faith[/name_f] [name_f]Hope[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]

I adore all of these!

As first names I prefer [name_f]Grace[/name_f] & [name_f]Faith[/name_f]

As a middle I prefer [name_u]Love[/name_u], [name_f]Hope[/name_f] & [name_f]Joy[/name_f]

For me [name_f]Grace[/name_f] & [name_f]Faith[/name_f] seem more usable as a first because I guess they’re more common. [name_u]Love[/name_u] may be a bit much to wear as a first but I find it absolutely stunning as a middle!

I would chose [name_f]Hope[/name_f]! It’s just something I value a lot, and an ideal I’d want to pass on to my child. [name_f]My[/name_f] second choice would be [name_f]Joy[/name_f].

[name_f]Grace[/name_f] or [name_f]Hope[/name_f] - love them both!

I have been absolutely doting on the name [name_f]Joy[/name_f] today! [name_u]Ive[/name_u] always found it to be such a bright, cheery kind of name. I think [name_u]Love[/name_u] makes for a fun middle name.

I like Hope best for the same reason!

I’d go for [name_f]Hope[/name_f] (as a middle and first), because:

  1. It has a pleasing look and sound
  2. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] is a lovely sentiment: you can have hope, bring hope, be hopeful in lots of different ways and hope suggests possibility too, rather than already ‘being’ [name_f]Hope[/name_f] itself?
  3. Similarly, [name_f]Hope[/name_f] is more universal and less religious than some of the others
  4. [name_f]Grace[/name_f] and [name_f]Joy[/name_f] are already used in my family; I love [name_f]Faith[/name_f] but would worry about using it as someone who isn’t religious and I prefer names (Carys, for example) that mean [name_u]Love[/name_u].

[name_f]My[/name_f] fave by a mile is [name_f]Hope[/name_f]! I’d be happy to use as a first or a middle.

As a first name: [name_f]Hope[/name_f]
As a middle: [name_f]Joy[/name_f]

I like [name_f]Grace[/name_f] most as a fn, but I think [name_u]Love[/name_u] is really adorable as a mn!

I prefer [name_f]Faith[/name_f] and [name_f]Hope[/name_f] for first names, and I like [name_f]Joy[/name_f] for a middle! I like the sound of [name_f]Faith[/name_f] the most, but [name_f]Hope[/name_f] and [name_f]Joy[/name_f] also have lovely meanings.

First name [name_f]Grace[/name_f]
Middle name [name_f]Joy[/name_f]

[name_f]Joy[/name_f] is my favorite regardless of placement! She’s been on and off my list for years.

[name_f]Grace[/name_f] as a first because [name_f]Gracie[/name_f] is super cute and [name_f]Joy[/name_f] for a middle

The only name that I would personally use in this list is [name_f]Joy[/name_f], as a first or a middle. I think it’s unexpected and a nice little throwback as a first, but still super sweet as a middle.

[name_f]Grace[/name_f], [name_f]Faith[/name_f], and [name_f]Hope[/name_f] are a little too expected for me in the middle spot, but I’m not really a fan of their sounds for a first name.

[name_u]Love[/name_u] I wouldn’t consider at all, it just doesn’t really feel substantial enough.

I feel like [name_f]Hope[/name_f] as a first is very underused!

I love [name_f]Faith[/name_f].

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] is OK.

[name_u]Love[/name_u] does not strike me as a name and I’m not too keen on [name_f]Joy[/name_f] either.

[name_f]Every[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] I’ve met has had some serious problems so that is not a good association for me.

[name_f]Grace[/name_f], both as first and middle. In my opinion it’s timeless, elegant, feminine but firm. There are also religious reasons. I also like [name_f]Joy[/name_f] as a middle.

I like [name_f]Hope[/name_f] and [name_f]Joy[/name_f], but [name_f]Joy[/name_f] sounds more name-y to me so I’d choose that.
