Funny Pregnancy Cravings boy/girl?

I am newly pregnant with my 3rd and cravings started way earlier. It is 12:50 am and all I can think of are peaches right now, ( Girl maybe?)what are/were your cravings and what is the sex of the baby you are or were carrying?

I craved root beer and anything with cream cheese… bagels, crab rangoons, cream cheese on crackers. And it’s funny because [name]Rowan[/name] loves cream cheese (and every other kind of cheese) I’ve always heard that your cravings represent your bodies nutritional needs… I guess I needed extra calcium? @sugarfoot Maybe you needed the protein/omega 3 in the tuna?

See, I’m strange. I’m craving gum (like the flavor of the bubble gum), Beef Jerky, and Pickle Chips. I have no idea why all that is, but it’s certainly weird. I don’t know what I’m having yet but, gum, jerky, and chips says boy to me :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve also been eating a lot of Chinese food lately, specifically, I’m loving the shrimp.

I don’t know the sex yet (and we don’t think we want to know), but I’m craving fruit (especially pineapple, mango, peach, mini oranges) and sweets. I’ve also had cravings for meat.

With pregnancy number one, I craved strawberry milkshakes. With pregnancy number two, my husband and I were out running errands together, and he asked if I wanted fast food. That praticular day, I had to have a turkey sub with salt and pink lemonaide to drink. I had girls bith times.

I had an second-cousin who had non food cravings. Instead she’d go nutty (like major emotional breakdown crazy) if she didn’t have a double digest Archies Comic book to read each day. [name]Both[/name] of her pregnancies. Which everyone still makes fun of her for. However, she never had food any food cravings of any kind. (Talking about weirdo cravings!)

LEXIEM That is weird, and hysterical

Nothing really weird - I’ve been craving chicken skin for a long time now. I also had a pickle kick for a while there… actually, now I want one. I’ve really been wanting beef jerky, and have been trying to avoid it because there’s a small listeria risk with that but I ended up eating about half a bag tonight. I’m thinking more and more that a little every now and then should be okay, though. Also, mushroom and pepper stir fry (I usually hate cooked peppers), peas, lots of green beans, grapefruit juice, grape juice, bologna (heated in the microwave), raspberry jello, Lindt truffles, [name]Wendy[/name]'s chili, and grilled cheese. Today I want either an eggplant parmesan sandwich, chicken pastry, or steak in spaghetti. I still really want dippy eggs too, but I can’t find any pasteurized eggs around here.

We’re having a little boy.

I’m 28 weeks with a boy and haven’t had any cravings yet. Sure, there are days where I’d like a particular food, but no more strongly than before I was pregnant and not the same thing often enough to form a pattern. I was vegan when I conceived and am eating vegetarian for the pregnancy, so it’s been kind of interesting trying things like eggs and cheese again. I guess I was kind of craving soda early on, but I think that was more about getting off caffeine and breaking that addiction than an actual food craving.

katushka -whole i was reading your post I was thinking that s going to be a boy LOL I was on a big jerky kick with my son.

I have a girl and a boy and cravings were definitely different. Loved red meat with my son and could only eat chicken with my daughter. I have been vegetarian for two years now and am not craving much at all now justy always nauseated with this one

I’ve been a vegetarian for a long time, but I just had a big juicy steak. [name]Baby[/name] wanted it! And I’m craving gummy bears. [name]Just[/name] went out to get a whole lot of them. I still don’t know what [name]Baby[/name] is though…

My mum had really weird cravings, she wanted to eat paper and coal all the time! But it’s really strange because my mouth waters at the thought of coal too, and I’m not pregnant! She also loved the smell of oil and petrol while pregnant too, but she didn’t really have many food cravings.

This pregnancy I’ve been craving a lot of sandwiches…with an emphasis on meatloaf sandwiches, fish sandwiches, reubens and grilled cheeses. I was digging anything with pepperoni but now it bothers my tummy, and chicken seems to have lost it’s awesomeness. This week it’s been more red meat items, but it’s not the overall craving. It’s really turned out to be sandwiches and vegetables overall!

We don’t know what we’re having yet, but we find out this coming [name]Saturday[/name]!

I was a vegetarian for 7 years before I got pregnant, but I only lasted about 4 months before my little boy insisted on meat. I never craved anything too strange but from about the second trimester onward I started becoming very intolerant of letting any of my foods “mix” and would tend to eat one thing at a time ([name]Even[/name] though usually I’m an all-in-one-bowl kind of person).

I would wake up and drink a glass of milk, and then an hour later I’d eat a bowl of dry cereal lol. I would eat beans, wait a while, eat rice, wait a while, then the chicken/tofu, wait a while, and then make a salad. But I wanted nothing to do with stuffing it all inside a taco shell at once! So I guess that was a bit weird for me. =]

I haven’t had meat in 12 years and have had no meat cravings. I think meat has in my mind become so far from being a food source that it would be like I was experiencing pica if I started wanting to eat it now. I was vegan at the time of conception and decided to go back to eggs and dairy for the pregnancy. I haven’t had trouble with eggs, but cheese was rough on my stomach initially. I can eat cheese now, and yogurt’s ok too, but still can’t stomach straight milk, so I’m sticking to fortified almond milk for drinking purposes. But to be fair, GI issues with milk were one of the factors that made me decide to go vegan in the first place.

Well now I want a meatloaf sandwich!

Only 6 weeks along so not many to document yet and obv it’ll be awhile before I can put a b/g to this…but the other day I wanted a cheeseburger so desperately…I’m not a vegetarian by any means, but I maybe eat red meat a couple times a year if that… Last week or so, I’ve wanted a cheeseburger, a cheese steak, and a beef burrito from Chipotle. I can’t stomach grilled chicken, lettuce, or sweet potatoes.

Oh yea, spicy food is a problem now too. I love hot stuff, or at least did pre-pregnacy, but first I had the morning sickness and although spicy stuff didn’t make me any more nauseous (as if such a thing was even possible at that point) it did burn like fire coming back up. By the time that passed, I tried to go back to eating spicy stuff and was thwarted by heartburn, which I’d never had an issue with before. Afterward, I may still be limited, if it turns him off my breast milk to eat spicy food.

I’ve been craving lager like CRAZY! And before pregnancy, I could not stand it. I’ve had to resort to drinking the non-alcoholic stuff just to satisfy the craving.
I’m having a boy

I love that u call em dippy eggs. I wonder where that comes from.
