“Have you come up with any boy names?”

That’s the question my hubby asks me that I’m somewhat drawing a blank on.

[name_u]Baby[/name_u] is due beginning of [name_f]May[/name_f] and we are Team [name_u]Green[/name_u]. Current children are J@bez Thomas; G1deon [name_u]James[/name_u] and E$ther Ble$$ing. [name_u]Baby[/name_u] is also our rainbow baby and at this moment I’d say likely our last.

Current hubby approved front runner names for a girl name are Pr0mise [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] and Ph0ebe J0y. We’re both feeling I’m carrying a girl. So that’s likely why finding a boy name is so difficult. BUT…. [name_f]My[/name_f] mommy intuition hasn’t been right with any of my team green babies. So finding a boy name is important!

With our last pregnancy it felt like every name under the sun was vetoed by either him or I… which actually led us to Nameberry forums. Hubby wants something doesn’t sound too out there…. If it weren’t for me he’d be very content to have kids named [name_m]Matthew[/name_m], [name_m]Mark[/name_m], [name_m]Luke[/name_m] [name_u]John[/name_u]. But while I don’t want something too “out there” I’m also not wanting something too familiar/ popular. At this point our pick will need to have some biblical connection and we like to avoid negative associations. And also feeling at this point long names (think Hezekiah) are out.

Ones already vetoed this time around: [name_m]Simon[/name_m] and [name_m]Linus[/name_m]

[name_f]My[/name_f] thoughts for middles atm have been [name_m]Victor[/name_m], Nathan/ [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] (depending on what offers better flow)…

Any ideas?

Firstly congratulations :tada:

I have to say your kiddos are wonderfully named and I adore your girl name options! I think both [name_m]Simon[/name_m] & [name_m]Linus[/name_m] are lovely with [name_m]Linus[/name_m] feeling more of a natural fit as he just feels slightly quirkier.

You’ve had some lovely suggestions so count any repeats as me being in agreement with the berries

Congratulations! There are some beautiful names here. I’m especially excited about the possibility of you having a [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]. I love how she goes with your sib set.

But here are some boy name ideas:

[name_m]Adam[/name_m]
[name_m]Andrew[/name_m]
[name_u]Asher[/name_u]
[name_m]Caleb[/name_m]
[name_u]Daniel[/name_u]
[name_u]David[/name_u]
[name_m]Isaac[/name_m]
[name_m]Isaiah[/name_m]
[name_m]Ishmael[/name_m]
[name_u]Israel[/name_u]
[name_m]Julius[/name_m]
[name_m]Malachi[/name_m]
[name_m]Marcus[/name_m]
[name_u]Micah[/name_u]
[name_u]Michael[/name_u]
[name_u]Noah[/name_u]
[name_m]Paul[/name_m]
[name_m]Philip[/name_m]
[name_m]Samuel[/name_m]
[name_u]Seth[/name_u]
[name_u]Shiloh[/name_u]
[name_m]Silas[/name_m]

I know you implied that [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] & [name_m]Mark[/name_m], etc., were boring or overused, but I haven’t met anyone under 30 named [name_m]Mark[/name_m]. I think names like that could be striking with your set.

I love your girl name options! Ph0ebe is sweet and lovely but Pr0mise has me particularly excited — such a pretty sound, lovely symbolism, unusual but absolutely right with your sibset.

Interestingly, your current sons’ names actually feel quite adventurous to me. Not at all “out there”, and still very solid and traditional, but definitely more eye-catching and unexpected than Esth3r or Ph0ebe.

So your husband can obviously be persuaded by the right name. (Linus would have been perfect, shame!)

With J, G and E, I can see…

Phineas
Samson
Ozias
Reuben
Amias or Amos
Thaddeus
Shepherd
Omri
Nahum
Reuel
Fisher
Solace
Abram or Bram
Raphael
Joash
Isaiah
Solomon
Lucas or Lucian
Domini
Malachi
Judah
Tobias or Tobin
Ashbel
Othniel
Timeo
Prosper
Honor
Lazarus
Azael
Jonah
Matthias
Nahuel
Zephan
Sylvan
Leander

Good naming with the other children and agree that Phoebe Joy is a wonderful option. I reckon stick with something from the Old Testament. I like Abel, Abram, Isaac and Tobias as others have suggested. Both middle names options are good, but Victor is particularly awesome.
