Hot Takes? 🤭

I love the whole gothic vibe of Ichabod, but literally the only think that comes to my mind it “itchy bod/body”

[name_f]My[/name_f] hot take is that [name_f]Leila[/name_f] is pronoun. Lee-la but [name_f]Layla[/name_f] is pronoun. Lay-la and I don’t know how anyone could pronoun. them the same.

Hmm, well if you say “Leila” how lei is pronounced in Hawai’ian (like “lay”), then Leila and Layla could be pronounced the same. Unless you mean personal-preference wise.

I think [name_m]Nimrod[/name_m] is still usable. I know that it’s used to mean a fool in American English, but there are other countries and cultures in the world…
I really like the sound and look of Nimrod, and [name_f]Nim[/name_f] is just the perfect nickname.

This right here .

I still don’t get the pronunciation Cash-us. We don’t pronounce Cass Cash or Cassidy Cash-i-dee, so why do we pronounce Cassius Cash-us?

Agreed.

Hmm, I always assumed that it’s because [name_m]Cassius[/name_m] originates from Latin.

now, I don’t know if it’s just how it’s pronounced in my area (mag-rit) but i really don’t like Margaret, which is a shame because [name_f]Margie[/name_f] and [name_f]Meggie[/name_f] are such darling nicknames.

We say it like mar-grit where I’m from.

Hot take:

[name_m]Cassius[/name_m] pron. CASH-uhs is superior to [name_m]Cassius[/name_m] pron. CASS-ee-uhs (though both are nice).

[name_m]Cassius[/name_m] “Cash” is just the dream  [name_u]Cass[/name_u] just doesn’t have the same charm as [name_m]Cash[/name_m] to me.

OMG I FINALLY UNDERSTOOD THIS POST

I thought you were saying pronoun as in “she/her” or “they/them” or “he/him” lol
The random periods confused me

I get it now and I feel like such an idiot lol

I prefer the CASS-ee-uhs pronounciation, but I LOVE the nickname “Cash” for some reason. I just find it very handsome.

I know, I don’t make sense.
