Itās an excellent pun nonetheless.
I prefer [name_f]Jaine[/name_f] over [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
I like [name_f]Raine[/name_f] over [name_u]Rain[/name_u] or [name_f]Rayne[/name_f].
My hot take of the day,
I realized I can come up with boys combos very easily so I thought I might just use some more boyish names for my girls. Sigh, yep I still canāt love [name_u]Blake[/name_u] on a girl.
I donāt like [name_u]Blake[/name_u] on a girl either, so ur not alone
same
I really like the idea of [name_u]Kirby[/name_u] on a girl, at least for a character
I wish ALL names were non-binary⦠Sorry, I said it! Iāve always thought this. Why canāt I name my daughter [name_m]Cassian[/name_m] and my son [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f]? Iām not going to, because of the way society is, but I should be able to.
I usually gender unisex names in my mind. IDK why. I just like it that way.
Personally:
Peyton, [name_u]Avery[/name_u], [name_u]Riley[/name_u], [name_u]Parker[/name_u], [name_u]Taylor[/name_u], [name_u]Morgan[/name_u], [name_u]Elliot[/name_u], [name_u]Briar[/name_u]- examples of ones I like on girls
Blake, [name_u]Kai[/name_u], [name_u]August[/name_u], [name_u]Charlie[/name_u], [name_u]Rowan[/name_u], [name_u]River[/name_u], [name_u]Robin[/name_u]- examples of ones I like on boys
Iām sorry, but I donāt get the purpose for nicknames that come from both the first and middle name unless itās initials (A.J., J.T., etc.)
NO NO NO NOOO
I personally donāt feel the need to pick a name with good nickname options; I donāt see much point in picking a nickname before a child is born, Iād rather let it develop organically.
However, I can understand the wish to give a child options in that regard.
In my opinion the best names are the ones that have options, so if your kid hates the nickname thereās still a full name waiting for them, or vice versa.
Oh my gosh, me too!
This was my reaction:

And this:

I didnāt date again for a long timeā¦
I would hate it as EY-reen, but I knew someone who pronounced it ee-RAY-nuh, and I think thatās really pretty.
@NameLover2020 100% naming my daughter Charlesa. And not pronounce ā[name_f]Char[/name_f]-[name_u]Lisa[/name_u]ā. [name_m]Just[/name_m] straight up ā[name_m]Charles[/name_m]-zuhā lol
Seriously? [name_f]Esther[/name_f] is such a sweet, innocent, Biblical name to me!
Iām starting to love āold lady who works in a 24-hour diner and smokes a pack per dayā names. So far, itās only four:
[name_f]Rhoda[/name_f]
[name_f]Anita[/name_f]
[name_f]Maude[/name_f]
Joan
I like [name_f]Anita[/name_f]! I know a 30-something year-old woman named [name_f]Anita[/name_f], so to me it isnāt an old lady name.
