I voted [name]Annabelle[/name] but I’m really ok with [name]Annabel[/name] too. The only reason I have a preference is because I think “[name]Annabelle[/name]” is more intuitive. I have a difficult to spell last name so I always try to go with the most popular spelling whenever possible.

I voted [name]Annabel[/name]. It’s still girly, but it doesn’t seem as frilly. I like this spelling because it’s sweet and simple.

I have it spelt as [name]Annabel[/name] on my list, but I honestly couldn’t tell you why I prefer this spelling.

I would normally prefer the less elaborate [name]Annabel[/name], but I prefer [name]Annabelle[/name] for you.

Either [name]Annabelle[/name] or [name]Annabel[/name] is fine. They’re both great spellings of a great name.

Either [name]Annabelle[/name] or [name]Annabel[/name]. The one n changes the pronunciation for me and I think your child would have issues with it her whole life.

[name]Annabel[/name] has always looked incomplete to me. I would definitely do [name]Annabelle[/name] for your personal significance.

[name]Annabelle[/name] -looks prettier and more complete to my eye.

[name]Annabelle[/name] - because I like frilly names.

Definately a doube ‘N’ spelling.
I like both spellings.
I started liking [name]Annabelle[/name]… then changed to [name]Annabel[/name] but lately I prefer [name]Annabelle[/name] as I would use the nn [name]Belle[/name].
[name]Annabel[/name] looks a little more modern, [name]Annabelle[/name] seems prettier.

[name]Emilia[/name]

I like [name]Annabelle[/name] best. The other 2 seem incomplete to me, like they’re missing letters or something.

I’m not sure. At first I thought I prefer [name]Annabelle[/name] (because I’m a sucker of [name]Belle[/name] names), but then I remember [name]Annabel[/name] [name]Lee[/name] and start liking [name]Annabel[/name] spelling. So I guess now I like both of them equally.
I, definitely, prefer [name]Anna[/name] than [name]Ana[/name] btw.

I agree!

I feel like [name]Annabel[/name] was the first spelling I saw so it’s the one I prefer. Then there’s the double letters. [name]Annabel[/name] looks cleaner to me than [name]Annabelle[/name].

thanks, everyone… crazy thing is that until I looked it up I had always thought “[name]Anabelle[/name]” was the “common” way to spell it! [name]Annabelle[/name] is definitely growing on me now… I do love the “[name]Belle[/name]” connection to my great aunt. [name]Even[/name] though I think [name]Annabel[/name] is also a cute spelling, I think the meaning outshines that for me, plus I prefer the “frillier” look  thanks!! I am now loving “[name]Annabelle[/name]!”

[name]Anabelle[/name] of your choices but have you thought about [name]Amabel[/name]? its the precursor to [name]Annabel[/name] and is uncommon and just as pretty imo.

[name]Annabelle[/name]: because it’s the most popular way to spell it and most likely the way it will be spelled until she corrects others, which can be a hassle. [name]Annabelle[/name] has been on my list for a lone time. As an [name]Edgar[/name] [name]Allen[/name] [name]Poe[/name] fan, I was thinking about the “[name]Annabel[/name] lee poem”. I thought about [name]Annabelle[/name] Elior or something else that begins with an E in the middle to make [name]Annabelle[/name] Elior.

[name]Annabel[/name]: I like this version too. It may be pronounced differently by some. It looks like [name]Ann[/name] & [name]Abel[/name] (from [name]Cain[/name] and [name]Abel[/name]). Perhaps that’s why I like it a little less.

[name]Annabel[/name] or [name]Annabelle[/name]. The situation would probably determine which one I would choose. Family cohesion (e.g. all of her siblings’ names sound French vs English), flow ([name]Annabelle[/name] insinuates a stronger stress on the last syllable to me), or geographic location might be the determining factor.

I voted [name]Annabel[/name], but I would choose either [name]Annabel[/name] or [name]Annabelle[/name] for you, not [name]Anabelle[/name]. It’s pretty, but I think it has the potential to be a spelling nightmare. “[name]Anabelle[/name]. Yes, not [name]Isabella[/name]. [name]Anabelle[/name]. [name]One[/name] “N”, and the “b-e-l-l-e” spelling at the end… yes…” [name]Annabelle[/name] is the most popular spelling, but from what I remember, [name]Annabel[/name] isn’t far behind it, and it looks very classic, so I don’t think it’d be too much of a hassle. I personally prefer the look of [name]Annabel[/name] personally–it’s feminine and beautiful without the overly frilly feeling of [name]Annabelle[/name], to me–and I think [name]Annabel[/name] could still honor an aunt [name]Betty[/name] [name]Belle[/name] (especially with the nn [name]Belle[/name]). But if you want the obvious connection, I think [name]Annabelle[/name] would probably be the better way to go.

Good luck!
