Is Heaven just as bad as Neveah?

With all of the negativity towards [name]Neveah[/name] I am starting to wonder how people see the name [name]Heaven[/name] (or even [name]Haven[/name]). I personally don’t like the name [name]Neveah[/name] but I do kind of like [name]Heaven[/name]. But does it sound as tacky as [name]Neveah[/name] (sorry to any Neveahs!)? Thoughts?

I don’t think it’s as bad, but it’s not my style. I like [name]Heaven[/name] more than [name]Haven[/name] cause I think [name]Haven[/name] is a bit celeby cause of [name]Jessica[/name] Albas baby

I like [name]Heaven[/name] more, but I honestly don’t like using it as a name, it’s putting a lot on a little girl who might end up not being religious…

[name]Haven[/name] might be better, but I still don’t like it…

I think they’re equally bad.

I agree they are both horrific…Naveah is the worst most tacky name…I hate it more than [name]Claire[/name]

I think could be a nice middle and I quite like haven as a first or middle

I think they’re both equally bad. [name]Nevaeh[/name] for the sheer tackiness, and [name]Heaven[/name] for being (and I know I say this a lot, but I honestly don’t know how else to say it) er… contrived. By that definition, every child is “from [name]Heaven[/name]”, so naming a child [name]Heaven[/name] just doesn’t seem all that special.

Ick. Not a fan.

I think [name]Nevaeh[/name] is worse than [name]Heaven[/name] - so tacky. [name]Heaven[/name] is better, but I like [name]Haven[/name] the best out of all of them.

[name]Haven[/name] seems more useable in my opinion. I’m not a fan of word names, but this one has a bit of an attraction to me. I would think it would be okay in a middle spot. I personally wouldn’t use it. I know someone named [name]Heavenly[/name] and her last name is [name]Meadow[/name]. Not a good combination in my opinion.

[name]Both[/name] horrible. The name [name]Heaven[/name] just say TRASHY to me.

[name]Heaven[/name] reminds me of that creepy V.C. Andrews book. While I don’t think it’s as tacky as [name]Nevaeh[/name], I’d say they’re neck and neck. [name]Haven[/name] doesn’t have the same creepy/tacky vibe to me though.

They’re both horrible in different but equally bad ways.

[name]Nevaeh[/name], objectively, doesn’t sound all that bad- it’s got that nice v sound in the middle, it’s got the “aya” ending and the vowel-heavy structure that’s very pleasing to the ears. However, it looks like a mess on paper and the concept of spelling a word backwards to make a name is ridiculous.
[name]Heaven[/name], meanwhile, is a bit more upfront about what it is, and word/virtue/spiritual names are very common. However, [name]Heaven[/name] has, in my opinion, an odd sound- it’s [name]Evan[/name] with an H- and the word itself sounds like it could have another meaning. I could easily imagine a stripper named [name]Heaven[/name]. Plus, it ties a kid instantly with a philosophy that they may not agree with as adults (the idea of the Judeo-[name]Christian[/name] afterlife.) An atheist named [name]Heaven[/name] seems a bit odd. [name]Nevaeh[/name] is a bit more subtle than that. People don’t usually agree with me, but I find [name]Haven[/name] and [name]Eden[/name] just as tacky as [name]Nevaeh[/name] and [name]Heaven[/name] for similar reasons.

I think it is okay, not my style but it isn’t as bad as [name]Nevaeh[/name]. I do agree that it is a bit much on a girl and teenager. It isn’t as bad as some names though.

[name]Nevaeh[/name] & [name]Heaven[/name] are down-market names; sounds like a stripper or porn star

[name]Haven[/name] is totally different and not even close to being in the same category. [name]Haven[/name] is a beautiful name

I find them equally bad. [name]Nevaeh[/name] because it’s made-up and just ridiculous since it’s a word spelled backwards. [name]Heaven[/name] is bad because it sounds like the name of a stripper or prostitute. There are so many nice names that relate to [name]Heaven[/name] ([name]Celeste[/name], [name]Angelica[/name], etc.) that I don’t see why you wouldn’t use one of those instead.

All 3 are bad but [name]Haven[/name] is the least tacky.

[name]Haven[/name] is much better than [name]Heaven[/name] or [name]Nevaeh[/name], [name]IMO[/name]. It’s also the least popular of the three. Plus, [name]Nevaeh[/name] and [name]Heaven[/name] seem quite out there whereas [name]Haven[/name] is more down to earth which I like.

I second that.

[name]Haven[/name] is fine…totally different than heaven…which sounds like a stripper and [name]Neveah[/name] is like soooooooooooo10 minutes ago…I can remember 10 years ago that name being creative…it’s not anymore…it’s tired and weird and sounds like a hair salon
