I’ve got Lavender on my mind today along with other florals. I’ve always loved it but struggle to find a nickname I love for it that isn’t super stretchy. I do quite like Lava which I’ve just discovered and on the stretchier side there’s Lula, Lola, Viva, Liv, Lady, Deva, Vida … which of these do you think might work somewhat intuitively and which do you like best??
I really love her with my other daughter’s names Matilda, Aurora and Delphine… I feel she really rounds off the set well with nature connection, vintage feel and shared letters from each.
Combos I like which have special meaning or family connection
Lavender Mary
Lavender Grace
Lavender Molly
Lavender Ruth
Lavender Juno
Lavender June
Lavender Noelle
Lavender Jane
Lavender Kate
Which is your favourite(s)?
Also on the topic of florals… I’ve been reconsidering Guilty pleasures Bluebell and Snowdrop…. Especially since I discovered they have a legitimate history as names and are genuinely Vintage in UK.
I love
Bluebell Elizabeth (Blue)
Snowdrop Grace/Mary/Jane (Snow)
I adore [name_f]Bluebell[/name_f] and think she’s entirely usable. The nickname [name_f]Blue[/name_f] is sweet too. [name_f][/name_f]I am not particularly a fan of [name_f]Lavender[/name_f], as I worry about the nickname Lav, reminding me of the word Lavatory. It’s a beautiful flower though, and with any luck that might not happen. I wouldn’t choose [name_f]Snowdrop[/name_f], but this would be lovely on a white pet. Of your suggestions, I like [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] [name_f]Molly[/name_f] and [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]. [name_f]Bluebell[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is lovely.
[name_f][/name_f]
Other floral names you might like [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Calla[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Daffodil[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Lilac[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Marigold[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Delphinium[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Chrysanthemum[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]Jasmine/,Yasmine
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Or[/name_f] there are names that relate to flowers [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Anthea[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- flowery [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Fleur[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- french for flower [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Ione[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- violet flower [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Iolanthe[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- as above [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Zinnia[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]
I’m sure there are many more, but my mind hasn’t quite woken up yet! Good luck!
Oh I love that you love [name_f]Bluebell[/name_f]! She has always been my guilty pleasure and I think you get braver with each child you name… at least I have! She would certainly unexpected in the sibset but I quite like that.
[name_f][/name_f]
I love [name_f]Marigold[/name_f], [name_f]Iona[/name_f], [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] [name_f]Jasmine[/name_f] and [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] too!
Oh my gosh [name_f]Enya[/name_f] is so cute [name_f][/name_f] hadn’t thought of that!
[name_f][/name_f]
I agree that [name_f]Bluebell[/name_f] and [name_f]Snowdrop[/name_f] would definitely be a little different but I actually quite like the idea of something a bit unexpected for the fourth and final … and they would tie in a bit with the loose nature theme. But [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] maybe is more the sweet spot between quirky and a little unexpected and being the odd one out!
[name_f]My[/name_f] favourite nicknames for [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] are Lav / [name_f]Love[/name_f] and [name_f]Leni[/name_f] !! But from your list I like [name_f]Liv[/name_f]!
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Lavender[/name_f] [name_f]Mary[/name_f] is a stunning combo and I like how the very classic [name_f]Mary[/name_f] grounds [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] and makes her feel like a more natural sister to [name_f][/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]. I also quite like [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] [name_f]Molly[/name_f]! Really cosy, whimsical feel.
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Bluebell[/name_f] and [name_f]Snowdrop[/name_f] could be really lovely middle names but maybe too out there as first names. I struggle to imagine them as sisters to your daughters.
On nicknames: [name_f]Liv[/name_f] is my favorite, but I also love[name_f][/name_f] the suggestion of [name_f]Leni[/name_f]! Maybe also [name_f]Lovey[/name_f] as a family nickname?
[name_f][/name_f]
On combos: [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] [name_f]Mary[/name_f] and [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] are my favorites. I would avoid word names with [name_f]Lavender[/name_f].
[name_f][/name_f]
I do think [name_f]Bluebell[/name_f] has potential with usability, though personally I find it a better name for a cow or something, ha! [name_f]Snowdrop[/name_f] is solidly GP to me.
[name_f]My[/name_f] favorite [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] nicknames are [name_f]Liv[/name_f], [name_f]Leni[/name_f], and [name_f]Evy[/name_f] (Ev-ee). She definitely matches [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], and [name_f]Delphine[/name_f] style wise! All the combos are great, but loving [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f], [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f], [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f], and [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]. [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Bluebell[/name_f] is one of my favorite names! [name_f]Bluebell[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is really pretty, but I might pair it with a shorter mn just because it’s long. Some of your middle names from the [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] list might work with [name_f]Bluebell[/name_f] (ex. [name_f]Kate[/name_f], [name_f]Grace[/name_f], Ruth)
[name_f]Lavender[/name_f] is absolutely stunning, I just ADORE her with your girls – she has such a gentle feel, but a strong, warrior princess-like sound. I think the most intuitive nickname would be [name_f]Liv[/name_f], but my favorite is [name_f]Lula[/name_f] or [name_f]Vida[/name_f]!
[name_f][/name_f]
From your list of combos, I’m really loving [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] [name_f]Mary[/name_f], [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] [name_f]Molly[/name_f], [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] [name_f]Juno[/name_f], & [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f], though they’re all gorgeous!
[name_f][/name_f]
I like [name_f]Bluebell[/name_f] & [name_f]Snowdrop[/name_f] in theory, but they do feel a little more boho than your other girls, as well as maybe being hard to wear in adulthood. [name_f]Blue[/name_f] is such a cute nickname though! I love [name_f]Snowdrop[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f], though for [name_f]Bluebell[/name_f] I would go for [name_f]Bluebell[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], [name_f]Bluebell[/name_f] Anna(beth), or [name_f]Bluebell[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f].
I’m 95% sure [name_f]Geri[/name_f] Halliwell (Ginger Spice from the Spice Girls) has a daughter named [name_f]Bluebell[/name_f] [name_f]Madonna[/name_f]!
[name_f][/name_f]
I think [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] would go beautifully with your other daughters’ names!
How do you say [name_f]Lava[/name_f]? like the beginning of Lavender or like “lava” as in from volcanos [name_f][/name_f]?
[name_f][/name_f]
From your nickname ideas, I like [name_f]Vida[/name_f], [name_f]Viva[/name_f] and [name_f]Liv[/name_f]! I think [name_f]Lula[/name_f] and [name_f]Deva[/name_f] could work too
[name_f][/name_f]
(Vinnie, [name_f]Lana[/name_f], [name_f]Lena[/name_f], and [name_f]Leni[/name_f] would be nice too)
[name_f][/name_f]
From your middles, I like [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] [name_f]Mary[/name_f], [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] [name_f]Molly[/name_f], [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] [name_f]Juno[/name_f], [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f], and [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]
I think [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] [name_f]Molly[/name_f] ‘Lolly’ / ‘Lola’, [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] [name_f]Juno[/name_f] ‘Lou’, or [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] ‘Laney’ might be cute!
[name_f][/name_f]
On [name_f]Snowdrop[/name_f] and [name_f]Bluebell[/name_f]:
[name_f][/name_f]
I like [name_f]Bluebell[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- the [name_f]Blue[/name_f] sound is lovely and the ‘bell’ ending makes it familiar. [name_f]Snowdrop[/name_f] feels a bit too gp/middle name/pet name territory for me.
I adore [name_f]Lavender[/name_f]! [name_f][/name_f] I just added [name_f]Anja[/name_f] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] [name_f]Sabine[/name_f] to my list
[name_f][/name_f]
I really love [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f], [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] [name_f]Juno[/name_f], and [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] from your options!
[name_f][/name_f]
I always thought if I used a nn, [name_f]Ava[/name_f] or [name_m]Avi[/name_m] would be easy to get to; I like Avi/Avie quite a lot. [name_f][/name_f] From yours, [name_f]Liv[/name_f] seems the most intuitive, or maybe [name_f]Vida[/name_f]? [name_f][/name_f] I like [name_f]Vivi[/name_f] for any name with a V in it though, so I think [name_f]Viva[/name_f] or [name_f]Vivi[/name_f] could work easily too. [name_f][/name_f] I think Lady’s pretty intuitive, too! [name_f][/name_f] [name_m]Or[/name_m] [name_f]Vinnie[/name_f]?
[name_f][/name_f]
I like [name_f]Bluebell[/name_f] & [name_f]Snowdrop[/name_f] a lot, but I don’t know that I have the guts to use them up front [name_f][/name_f]- I would do something like [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Bluebell[/name_f] or [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Snowdrop[/name_f] though! [name_f][/name_f] I named my car a few years back Snowflake, [name_f]Snowdrop[/name_f] reminds me of that but a little more usable hahahah. [name_f][/name_f] I prefer Belle/Bella for [name_f]Bluebell[/name_f], but [name_f]Blue[/name_f] is fun too. [name_f][/name_f] I do think they’re all usable, just might take some guts to actually go for it. [name_f][/name_f] (I think they could make really fun double barrels too if you want them but are concerned about usability [name_f][/name_f]- like [name_f]Aveline[/name_f] [name_f]Bluebell[/name_f] “Ava Belle/Avie [name_m]Blu[/name_m], etc.” or [name_f]Elsinore[/name_f] [name_f]Snowdrop[/name_f] “Elsie Snow/Ella Snow/etc.”?
I really like the idea of two middle names. And I almost used Lavender Pearl. But my hubby vetoed it. I wanted a name that meant mermaid. Example : Sereia Lander Pearl. lol!
I like
Lavender Mary
Lavender Molly
Lavender Grace
Lavender Noelle

[name_f]Lavender[/name_f] is gorgeous! I love the nicknames [name_f]Lava[/name_f], [name_f]Vada[/name_f], [name_f]Viva[/name_f], [name_f]Liv[/name_f] and [name_f]Lala[/name_f]. I believe [name_m]Ever[/name_m] would work too. [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] would be a very interesting choice for your 4th baby. It’s romantic, unique and elegant.
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]My[/name_f] favorite combos are [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f], [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] [name_f]Juno[/name_f], [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] and [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]. Your list is extraordinary!
[name_f][/name_f]
In my opinion, [name_f]Bluebell[/name_f] could work. [name_f]Bluebell[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is lovely. However, I think [name_f]Snowdrop[/name_f] would be a better option as a middle name.
I think [name_f]Liv[/name_f] works well. I also like [name_f]Andie[/name_f] as an option. [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] does go beautifully with your other daughters’ names. [name_f][/name_f]I like the flow of [name_f]Grace[/name_f], [name_f]Molly[/name_f], [name_f]Ruth[/name_f], and [name_f]Kate[/name_f] best. [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Bluebell[/name_f] totally works, I’m not sold on [name_f]Snowdrop[/name_f] as a first name for a person.
[name_f]Rosaura[/name_f], [name_f]Lunaria[/name_f], [name_f]Opaline[/name_f] are just gorgeous …. I’ve never heard any of there’s before [name_f][/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]Also love [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] and [name_f]Celestia[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- have both of these on my long list!!
