[name_f]Do[/name_f] you think I could use the name [name_f]Leonor[/name_f] in [name_u]America[/name_u]? I asked my sister about it, and she said no and that people would be constantly confused. I pronounce it [name_u]Lee[/name_u] - oh - nor.
Yes, definitely works! I know a few & I’m in the US. Gorgeous name!
I think [name_f]Leonor[/name_f] is lovely, and I don’t find it at all confusing (I’m in the US). I would love to meet a [name_f]Leonor[/name_f]!
I think it works! It reminds me of [name_f]Elinor[/name_f] so the pronunciation made sense to me
Definitely works
Definitely think [name_f]Leonor[/name_f] would work in the US! Such a beautiful name, by the way!
I don’t know how someone could be confused! It’s a beautiful name and it’s pronounced how it looks.
The pronunciation feels intuitive to me
Why wouldn’t it work? The pronunciation seems straightforward and t’s fairly familiar imo. It’s a nice name.
It would be unfamiliar in the US ( [name_m]Ive[/name_m] never heard of it) but its not unlike [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] so maybe that would help. You would probably have to say it a few times when introducing her since its unfamiliar.
I’m in the US. I’ve never met a [name_f]Leonor[/name_f], but I’m familiar with the name and know how to pronounce it. It would be an unfamiliar choice, but not unheard of. It’s a beautiful name, by the way!
I’m in the US and I’ve never met a [name_f]Leonor[/name_f], but I would love to and I think I would pronounce it right.
You’re pronouncing it exactly like it looks so I see no problem with it. I’ve heard it pronounced [name_m]Len[/name_m]-or, but I prefer the [name_u]Lee[/name_u]-o-nor pronunciation.
I don’t see how it would be confused with something else. [name_f]Leonor[/name_f] is a beautiful name.
I’m in the US and I know a woman in her 60s with this name. She pronounces it [name_m]Len[/name_m]-or, but I don’t find your pronunciation confusing.
She’s a bit of an annoying customer, but I still like the name!
This is how I say it. It will probably have spelling issues.
It may get pronounced like [name_f]Lenore[/name_f] a bit, but I think it’s familiar enough and a really gorgeous name:)
It will probably get mispronounced sometimes, but it’s easily corrected. I definitely think it’s usable!
I like the fact it takes the [name_m]Leo[/name_m] name trends and the [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] name trends. It’s cool without needing try!
Isn’t this a [name_u]Poe[/name_u] character as well?
Love [name_f]Leonor[/name_f](e)! I slightly prefer [name_f]Leonore[/name_f], and say lay-oh-nore instead of lee-oh-nore, but either way, gorgeous name, and so straightforward. I would love to meet a [name_f]Leonor[/name_f]!
