I prefer [name_f]Mabel[/name_f]. [name_f]Maple[/name_f] is a little too out there for me personally. It makes me think of maple trees and maple syrup, whereas [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] feels more like a “real” name to me, if that makes sense. It really just comes down to the fact that I prefer classic over modern, but that’s just my taste.
As far as the sibset goes, it’s difficult to say. I think [name_f]Maple[/name_f] goes better with [name_f]Coral[/name_f] since they’re both rare nature names, but [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] better matches the boys’ names. [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] is lovely and I think it sounds good with either one.
I love [name_f]Maple[/name_f]! I think it goes great with [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]. It especially pairs well with [name_f]Coral[/name_f], [name_u]Jude[/name_u], [name_m]Henry[/name_m] and [name_m]Peter[/name_m] because [name_f]Coral[/name_f] and [name_u]Jude[/name_u] are more out-there names, which helps the idea of [name_f]Maple[/name_f] next to [name_m]Henry[/name_m] and [name_m]Peter[/name_m]. I hear a difference, and I think [name_f]Maple[/name_f] is sweeter and a touch more uncommon and whimsical. [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] is a name used for many rainbow-and-unicorns type gals in shows, stories, you name it, for me, and I think [name_f]Maple[/name_f] has just enough of a difference to make one.
Definitely [name_f]Maple[/name_f]! It’s such a beautiful, magical nature name. So whimsical. [name_f]Mabel[/name_f]'s fine too but I’m personally not a fan at all.
To me [name_f]Maple[/name_f] and [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] sound distinctly different. The “p” in [name_f]Maple[/name_f] sounds much lighter than the “b” in [name_f]Mabel[/name_f], if that makes sense.
I think [name_f]Maple[/name_f] would pair really well with [name_f]Coral[/name_f].
Yes, there’s a distinct difference between the p and b sounds for me. I prefer [name_f]Mabel[/name_f]. It was my great-great-grandmother’s mn (which she went by bc she preferred it to her fn), actually, so I have always felt partial to it:) I feel neutral about [name_f]Maple[/name_f]. I really do think [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] would go better with your sibset–especially with [name_m]Harry[/name_m] and [name_m]Peter[/name_m]. It’s such a charmingly vintage name.
[name_f]Maple[/name_f] and [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] sound quite similar to me, but are totally different in style. [name_f]Maple[/name_f] is modern and fun, [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] is vintage and proper. I think [name_f]Maple[/name_f] fits into your sibset better, especially with [name_f]Coral[/name_f] and [name_u]Jude[/name_u]. [name_m]Harry[/name_m] and [name_m]Peter[/name_m] are classics but still in common use today, so feel timeless enough to go well with both.
[name_f]Maple[/name_f]!
I love both… [name_m]IRL[/name_m] I would definitely use [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] but would love to meet a baby maple.
[name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] sounds a bit better to me for some reason.
There is the cutest kids picture book series called [name_f]Maple[/name_f] & [name_f]Willow[/name_f] & it’s just so darling it makes [name_f]Maple[/name_f] seem even more usable to me.
I totally hear a difference. One has a b and one has a p in the middle.
My only thing is that I think of them as middles. My beloved great grandmother was [name_f]Martha[/name_f] [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] and my beloved Rhodesian/boxer was [name_f]Bonnie[/name_f] [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] (after my gg!). My next girl dog will probably be [name_f]Rowena[/name_f] [name_f]Maple[/name_f] ([name_u]Romy[/name_u]).
Hmmmm… [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]. [name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]. Both are nice. I would just choose the one you can’t live without.
As far as going nicely with [name_f]Coral[/name_f], [name_u]Jude[/name_u], [name_m]Harry[/name_m], and [name_m]Peter[/name_m] — I think either would work. [name_m]Harry[/name_m] and [name_m]Peter[/name_m] are traditional names, [name_u]Jude[/name_u] too, I suppose, so [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] goes fine with them, but [name_f]Coral[/name_f] is a gem and [name_f]Maple[/name_f] is a tree and I like that connection.
[name_f]Mabel[/name_f] goes better with all the names you mentioned. If someone said their name was [name_f]Maple[/name_f], I would probably think I misheard [name_f]Mabel[/name_f]. However, I would never mistake [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] for [name_f]Maple[/name_f].
[name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] sweet [name_f]Maple[/name_f]!
It has a mixture of quirky and ethereal with such a sweet sound. [name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] sounds beautiful too.
Well another vote for [name_f]Maple[/name_f], only because I named my beautiful [name_u]Golden[/name_u] Retriever that 2 years ago, and she is the sweetest, most adorable soul in the world.
[name_f]Maple[/name_f] has special meaning for us. I would personally only be able to use it as a middle name. [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] has grown on me over time. Although I would choose Maebry over [name_f]Mabel[/name_f], it is an honor name. I think [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] fits in best with the other names you listed. I can hear the difference in the names.
