I completely agree with this. Where I work we see a fair amount of patients with foreign roots or more unusual names. I always ask them how their name’s pronounced or if I’m pronouncing it correctly, and you can always see their face light up a little when I do. It’s such a small effort, but a huge sign of respect. And I hate that many of my co-workers don’t bother.
