This next student is playing Mrs Mayor, although she originally auditioned for the Cat in the Hat. Dramatic and friendly, this girl is anything but shy, and has already made friends with Ainsley. She has strawberry blonde hair with a white streak as an unusual birthmark. She likes to wear baggy clothes, and her favourite colour is green. She is observant and optimistic.

His oldest brother, 23-year-old [name_m]Pietro[/name_m] [name_m]Niccolo[/name_m], was also involved in musical theatre when he was younger but did not have the awesome teacher Mx. [name_m]Nicholson[/name_m] and instead had a rude and strict teacher who made [name_m]Pietro[/name_m] quit acting. This student was hesitant to act from his brother leaving but heard nothing but good things about Mx. He has a great bond with his sister, [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u], and [name_f]Kayla[/name_f].

The ninth student is a 12-year-old, also in set design/crew. They are reserved and shy. They usually sit in the back of classes and doodle in the margins of their notebooks, preferring not to draw attention to themselves. They have always been introverted and always had trouble making friends, but had a difficult transition to middle school as none of their friends came to Jennings-McGill. They have experienced bullying over the past year, which made them draw into themselves even more. Until they joined Mx. Nicholson’s class, they usually sat alone during lunch.

This student has always had a passive interest in theater, but due to their quiet nature, never quite felt like they were cut out for acting. They initially enrolled in Jennings-McGill School of the Arts for the drawing and painting courses. However, when their parents asked that they enroll in a performance-based class like theater, band, or choir, they chose the Musical Theater Workshop class, because they knew they could stay in the background as part of the crew rather than perform in front of people.

Since joining Mx. Nicholson’s class and being in a more accepting atmosphere, this student has realized that they are nonbinary. They disclosed this information (very timidly) to Mx. Nicholson and are thankful Mx. Nicholson and other students are supportive. They have slowly become good friends with Ainsley. Other students in the Musical Theater Workshop class have helped them pick out a new name (both first and middle) that is gender-neutral, which is the name they now go by at school (and the name you will give them!). However, they are scared to tell their parents. Their parents are devout Catholics and they are unsure whether their parents will be supportive.

The next girl is 13 years old. She is the older sister of Calixto and a proud godsibling of newborn Ezra Ryder Graham , who is the son of her father’s long-time friend and co-worker. Her father , Anthony Andrea , is a hospice nurse. As such, over the years she became used to correcting people around her that no, he’s not a doctor and yes, a man can be a nurse too and do his job very well. The patients at the hospice love him and he has lots of experience which he shares eagerly with those that are newer to the profession, that’s why everyone at the hospice knows him and he has respect from co-workers. It’s the passion for their job and giving all of their heart to patients that helped Anthony and his co-worker , Catrin Graham , become true friends. He was a guest at Catrin’s wedding and was overjoyed when she asked him to be her son’s godfather. The whole family is often a guest at Catrin’s family home. It’s through Catrin ‘s mothers - Joanna and Jacqueline - that this girl found out about LGBTQIA+ couples. Her own parents are straight - she also has a mom, Bonnie Susanna , who is an internal auditor at a local company which produces candles. She doesn’t have as many friends as Anthony and often jokes about it saying that it’s only natural, as his Italian-American temperament is “much more fun than her Scottiish gloominess”. Bonnie mainly focuses on her kids’ endevours outside of her work. When their oldest brother Pietro was mentally damaged by his former acting teacher, Mr. Cratsley, Bonnie did everything in her power to provide emotional support and therapy for him. When Calixto expressed that he wants to try out acting too, she initially refused and made a big fuss about Pietro 's past with the art. To convince mom to let Calixto try it out, this girl made the suggestion of him going into set design instaed of acting and of… her going there to support him in case the new teacher becomes rude, too.

Fortunately, Mx. Nicholson proved to be lovely and supportive of all students - even the ones who, like her, were not too sure what they want to do initially. Due to the experience she got in her Presbyterian church’s choir and her love of cats , she - to the surprise of everyone involved - was casted as Cat In The Hat. Even though her role was so sought after and she used to feel guilty because of getting it rather than Kayla or Raoul , it all sorted out in the end. Although the relationship between her and Kayla is neutral and they try not to cross paths with eachother, Raoul became her friend because both of them are huge animal lovers - Raoul has 2 guinea pigs , Taco and Meatball , who he loves dearly and often shows her fancily edited pictures of the pets.

She wishes she could have her own pets but knows it’s impossible due to her mother Bonnie 's perfectionism - she’s rather pedantic when it comes to cleanliness in the house and so can’t imagine having even the smallest pet to look after in that regard. She doesn’t let that deter her, though. She still asks for a cat every year at Christmas, even though her belief in Santa Claus starts to weaken.

That doesn’t mean she is completely banned from looking after pets. She often becomes a pet sitter for Joanna and Jacqueline , who are the previously mentioned moms of Catrin Graham. Their Russian Blue, Dastan, is famously anti-social, but frequently purrs at the girl and really likes being scratched behind the ears by her. However, the job of a pet sitter there became a little harder now that they have an energetic, brand new ragdoll kitten. The furry guy is named Morteza and has strikingly beautiful lilac colourpoint fur. She most often pet sits the cats together with Catrin ‘s younger sister Arwen who still lives at her moms’ house. Her parents are really glad that by adding the cats into the equation. they have no problem sending their daughter off to a family friends’ house in order for Arwen to help the girl do homework. Even though Arwen is more focused on netball than academics, 8th grade material isn’t extactly a challenge for her to help with.

The girl has junglecore aesthetics , often having an unruly hairdo which consists of either a messy bun or loose curls hidden under a safari cap. She is proud of her curly, mahogany brown hair and really likes wearing comfy tunics with flowery or savannah-themed patterns, as well as sandals. She is the one who came up with her godsibling Ezra 's nursery theme to be in the same aesthetics - showing Catrin her Pinterest
board with jungle-themed nurseries each time she pet sitted Dastan and Morteza. She really likes having Ezra as her godsibling and thinks the baby is super cute - having a tiny guy in her life again reminds her of when Calixto was also an infant and she used to call him “my baby” despite having been a toddler herself. Calixto often jokes that she never grew out of that mindset and is a little overprotective , whoever, he really appreciates the unwavering support he has from her when it comes to his ambitions and hobbies - even though he makes fun of her sometiemes together with Garrick and there are moments where he wishes he could be an only child like him.

The next student is a fellow background player in the production, although they’re actually involved in the sound and lighting side of things. Being one of the oldest kids in her year group gives her a natural desire to be mature and responsible at all times, argubaly encouraged by her grandparent’s who’ve raised her since she was only six months old when her parents tragically died in a house fire caused by a faulty heating system. Their death’s resulted in a considerable scandal regarding the construction company responsible for the new builds, who were proven to be negligent in how they’d gone about completing safety checks, and culminated in this student receiving a noted payout from the subsequent lawsuit her grandparents filed. In spite of her future being secured, she’s never felt particularly steady as this came at the cost of ever knowing her parents, with her nana taking steps to try and help her know them as well as she can given their passing: something she hugely appreciates, and is forever writing her little notes expressing how happy this makes her in spite of the sadness preceding their current lives. She was inspired by electronics thanks to her grandpa and late mom both being electricians, however her interests have fallen more in the unique frame of technology and theatrics, in part due to one of her older cousins belonging to a band who are forever on the hunt for technicians. Often she spends her nights after school working on little projects with him and there’s a long running joke between the pair about her building them a miniature house robot to help with tasks once she’s at university - another sentimental part of life she highly values.

It was her grandparents - Heather " Hettie " and Lloyd - who convinced her to become involved in the play thanks to her expertise, knowing she was interested in asking Mx. Nicholson but wasn’t sure if the teacher would take her seriously due to her age. Now she’s the assistant of Xia Yan, the high school junior who’s overseeing the technical side officially, and has been taken under the older girl’s wing, enjoying a new mentoring situation - especially as Xia’s popular at Westbank High School which she attends, and she hopes her charisma’s also being polished. While by no means particularly awkward, she can come across a bit aloof and tends to overthink, the prospect of soon going to high school intimidating her a little thanks to the new influx of people she’ll have to explain her circumstances to. Around the other’s involved in the play she tries to provide calm and reassurance, always trying to plan ahead and approach things in an orderly manner, traits she admits come from her grandpa who was diagnosed with OCD before she was born. This has never phased her and she’s always very accommodating of his preferences, while educating others when they ask, and has spent time taking about this with Mx. Nicholson - who she both respects and admires for how supportive, open and encouraging they are to everyone.

She’s quite tall for her age at 5’6" and slender, with a slight tan to her complexion thanks to her paternal family originally being from Romania - liking how it bronzes during summer thanks to the way it further brightens her light green eyes. Her hair’s chestnut coloured and cut at the mid point of her back, usually tied back while working even though she prefers wearing it loose as she’s proud of straightening it and letting the natural gloss shine through. Makeup is something she’s experimenting a little with now, asking for the help of her older cousins, one of whom is an aspiring artist in the field - and sometimes she comes to rehearsal with glitter worn across her cheeks or around her eyes. Aesthetically she combines romantic academia and dreamy, loving puff lace sleeves and knit vests depicting cutesy patterns, always turning up to school with a pink satchel bag containing tools for any technical complications. Layering is something she thinks is very sophisticated too, especially having collars peaking over her jumpers or other tops, preferring a soft mix of colours such as white, pink, peach, cream and occasionally a pale green thanks to how it always compliments her eyes. She’s always wearing her parents wedding rings on a chain around her neck, treasuring this item more than anything else in the world and protects it fiercely - sometimes taking it off if she’s doing a lot of physical activity to ensure it’s kept safe.

At least once a month she visits her paternal grandparents too - Melva and Stanley " Stan " - to ensure she’s keeping contact with both sides of her family. They got her into her other favourite pastime: lyrical dance, which stems from Melva running her own school in Limestone Cove and offering all her grandkids an opportunity to pursue this as a hobby. She’s attended a few competitions but isn’t super serious about pursuing this aspect of things, more enjoying the connection to her granny it brings and the fun it always entails. The few times she’s gone to contests it’s often been with her cousin, entering as a duo, and as they’re only two years apart in age she considers the younger girl the sister she’s always wanted (helped by both of them being only children). Something she does envy is that her performance partner has a family dog, thanks to her aunt’s being mad about animals of all kinds, but she understands the stress of a pet would be too much for her grandpa and doesn’t resent him for it - living vicariously through her friend’s and family members pets instead. In the future she would like to visit Romania, where her great-grandparents grew up, but hasn’t actually been abroad before and finds it intimidating; in spite of her friends insisting it’ll be worthwhile once she takes this step. One of her closest friends is also considering becoming involved in the play and she’s highly encouraging of their interest, not only wanting them to become involved in such an uplifting project but also due to her faith in their acting skills which she knows Mx. Nicholson will notice and help further nurture.

The next student is the 6th child of the Newman family - his running joke is “I’m so overlooked by them all , I can’t even complain about being right in the middle”. While it isn’t entirely true , it isn’t false either - he has just tuned 14 on February 12th and attends 8th grade, making him only a little younger than the “extact middle” child, also 14-year-old Ravenna Newman, who turns 15 this April and is a typical Aries. However, to say his family doesn’t care about him would be an absolute lie - given that his dad, Arthur is the one driving him to Jennnings-McGill headquarters and telling the whole neighbourhood that, lo and behold , his son drives to his oldest daughter’s college buildinig for theathre rehearsals and plays a lead role!

Having been chosen as Horton the Elephant, he has a lot of responsibility on his shoulders but also enjoys being the centre of attention on stage. He often talks to his brother Thorn about the experience and likes the fact that they can finally relate to eachother. Thorn has been prioritzing his band High Velocity lately and the guy felt like he is growing apart from the family , however now that he is busy with rehearsals himself, it no longer saddens him.

While he considers Thorn and his achievements as a local star worthy of praise and strives to be as good at acting as his brother is at playing drums, he can’t deny that he has the most in common with his closest brother in age - the 7th Newman kid, who’s 11 and absolutely mad about all things connected to… buses and trams. His fascination with things so simple and present in everyday life yet so complex if you get to know them really impresses him. His little brother is arguably the most down-to-earth and practical guy among his siblings who doesn’t want to achieve any kind of artistic excellence - his calm and chill attitude towards life taught him that - even if he may feel like his success in life so far hasn’t quite been as significant as, say, Thorn 's concerts at local bars or Ottilia 's sports achievements, he doesn’t really have to push himself towards those goals and can complete it at his own pace.

He really connected with Kayla and Myles due to their absolute lack of shyness and a little bit of their mischievous attitude. Kayla even had a snarky comment to share when one of the participants in this class told this guy that he only got the role because of his oldest sister being a Jennings-McGill college student and wouldn’t have been able to do it otherwise with so little talent. It’s not like he wouldn’t have been able to stand up for himself , but he really appreciated Kayla for her quick-witted response and feels like she could benefit from getting to know the Newman sibling, with her vivacious personality bringing back some of the atmosphere from his crazy home life. He is hesitant to make that proposal, given that she might misinterpret it as asking her out.

He is a typical “hippie goth” - has long , dark blond hair, that he wishes were jet black (much like his yonger sister Aloisa), as well as pale skin with acne pimples which he uses only natural cosmetics and herbal teas to cure. He eats granola bars instaed of, as his siblings call them “normal candy” and recently went vegetarian. His favourite colors to incoprorate into clothes are burgundy , plum and of course black. His shirts and necklaces are most often covered in white or grey peace signs. He also has a soft spot for bandanas and bucket hats, as he feels they compliment his hair quite a lot. Through his connections to Bainhurst Middle School he met Zoha Hafsa Yujad and they clicked right away due to similliar no tolerance policies when it comes to violence. That is extactly why he is beyond sure that his heart doesn’t currently belong to Kayla.

Ravenna Paisley Newman (9th grade)

The next student comes from a large family. She is stuck in the middle, being kid 5 out of 10. It’s hard for her being stuck right in the middle of such a chaotic group, and especially since she has to be a role model for her younger siblings. She feels a lot of pressure and compares herself to her older sisters in particular. Mrs. Sekelsky has reminded her several times that she is doing her best and doesn’t need to constantly compare herself to her sisters. This student and Xiomara tend to get along well.

Hawthorn Thorn Gray Newman (11th Grade)

The next student also comes from a large family, being the older brother of Ravenna Paisley Newman from Mrs. Sekelsky’s class. Like his younger sister, he finds it hard standing out, and tends to do as such by rebelling in every way possible, considering any form of attention better than being overlooked; something that his teacher’s have come to recognise, and they’ve encouraged him to concentrate on what makes him happy. This has been music, with him playing drums in his friend’s band - High Veolicty - and through this he’s settled considerably. Being the 4th of 10 kids means he’s protective towards others, acting as a surrogate big brother to some of his friends and classmates. Recently he had help from Cillian to dye his hair neon yellow, which compliments his punk sense of fashion - especially his favourite tartan trousers

Aloisa Briar Newman (1st Grade)

The next student is the 2nd youngest Newman sibling. In the vain of her parents influence, she’s heavily inspired by the Victorian Gothic era - citing Mary Shelley as her idol and trying her best to dress in appropriate fashion. In spite of this she isn’t particularly morbid, having a very upbeat and enthusiastic demeanor, being naturally sociable on account of coming from such a busy household. She’s annoyed her hair’s dark blonde instead of jet black - often complaining to her best friend who possesses the dream colour - and tends to wear it loose with dramatic accessorising; but is proud of her blue-green eyes, finding depending on what she wears, one shade will brighten. As her parents work in the horror industry - her dad’s a writer of both novels and screenplays; mom does prosthetic makeup and special effects - she’s got a love of costumes too, having worked with her older siblings to create some killer Halloween looks; and she’s learning to sew with the help of her gran. Some of her teachers have been alarmed by her fascination with the macabre and everything spooky - but Ms. Kiefer has encouraged this gently, by ensuring she’s introduced to age appropriate media and suggesting she writes down the ghost stories she’s so fond of writing, so they can be shared with classmates who’ll enjoy her talents. In spite of there being a lot of jostling for attention among the siblings, she isn’t too phased and does her own thing often - going to a friends house or listening to audiobooks and drawinf up in her room. Out of everyone she’s particularly close to Thorn, thinking his dyed hair is amazing and has constant questions about how his band’s doing - being more than a little annoyed she isn’t allowed to go to their gigs and instead has to rely on the music copies her brother saves for her. Thanks to her parents jobs, she’s also close friends with an up-and-coming child actress - however she keeps this information to herself as she doesn’t want anyone to like her for inauthentic reasons; and also knows her friend faces enough pressure in general, so she does her best to uphold her privacy. More than anything she’d love a pet - even more so since talking to Eli, as they sit next to each other thanks to their surnames - but for now she has to be content with her dad’s tropical fish, who the siblings have tried to name but it proves difficult based on splitting the decision making evenly.

Pomeline Zorica Newman (11th Grade)

The 13th student is the third Newman sibling, who’s adapted to being part of such a large family by developing a notoriously calm demeanor and is typically the go-to peacemaker now her eldest sister’s attending college. She’s only younger than her closest sister in age by ten months, meaning they’re actually in the same year group in spite of not being twins - something that they found very amusing in terms of tricking new teachers into thinking otherwise (who’ve promptly ensured they aren’t placed in the same classes too often subsequently). With a boho meets new age aesthetic, haram pants, oversized clothes and patchwork patterns are go to’s for her style wise, accompanied by a dash of silver; often having small braids or beaded decoration within her hazel brown hair, that tends to have a permanent bed head aspect to its wild texture - a trusty bucket hat serving as the best cure when she doesn’t have time to tame it properly. Her septum’s pierced - as are her ears extensively; preferring dangly and long jewelry - and she has her sights firmly set on getting a tattoo the moment she turns eighteen. She shares her younger sister Aloisa’s appreciation of horror, with her paintings having a lot of gothic and subtly macabre elements to them - a style that did lead to her being referred to the school counselor when she was fourteen - but if quickly became apparent she merely has an love for the darker side of things and getting scared in a healthy sense. Jewelry is something else she’s fond of making - having learned some metal work from Ali, and she recently worked with Thorn and her closest sister to create a pendant for their mom’s birthday: depicting a Fairywren, her favourite type of bird. Having come out as pansexual just after turning sixteen, she met her girlfriend thanks to her interest in urban exploring, with it actually serving as their first date - but she refuses to go on double dates with any of her siblings, as that’s one of the few things that she really can’t handle being around. Her best friend is Kiojah - who’s been teaching her French, although she’s the first to admit she’s a slow learner when it comes to languages; preferring anything that depends more on creativity, and is always the first to compliment her makeup. She helped create the logo for High Velocity thanks to her artistic abilities and the fact she’s never been affronted by Thorn’s protective tendencies, being one of the main confidents of her younger brother - although she’s realistic and doesn’t expect to know everything about his life.

Ottilia Nerys Newman (11th Grade)

The first student is part of the famous Newman family - only 10 months older than her closest sister in age , Pomeline and often mistaken for her twin.

Given that the family has three 11th graders - Pomeline , Thorn and her - many assume that she was simply born prematurely to Virginia and Arthur Newman , partially because of how similliar she looks to her family and especially Pomeline . However, many do not realise that she was adopted by her family and is technically a cousin of the Newman siblings.

Her biological mom , Theresa , was Virginia 's sister and died from complications associated with childbirth when the newborn girl was only ten days old. Her biological father Craig never wanted anything to do with her , not even when she found him through Facebook and offerred meeting in a cafe - he has been living a carefree life as a bachelor while travelling the world and considers the romance with Theresa to be nothing more than a mistake.

Upon being told the truth she was shocked and in denial for a long time - first attempting to play along with the narrative of being Pomeline ‘s twin, going to the same school at East Marsh and doing everything possible to remain in her sister’s shadow and become invisible. However as time went on she realised she cannot possibly keep living a lie , bought a DNA test kit and asked the family about her father - and although they had limited information and were terrified of losing her , she eventually managed to talk to her parents sincerely , assure them about her bond with the family and confront Craig. When she got rejected by him, she was angry for a long time but decided not to give up on discovering her heritage - having a lot of Dutch ancestors on her dad’s side. She often jokes that it explains why she is quite a bit taller than her sisters - being 5’11’’ when Pomeline’s 5’7’’ . She still loves her family dearly and put a lot of effort in creating a Fairywren pendant for her mom’s birthday together with her siblings - and being given the gift directly by her , Virginia Newman had her eyes full of tears as she was convinced that revealing the truth to her would cause a rift in their relationship. She is new to St. Paul’s , having changed schools to highlight her individuality from Pomeline and get rid of the " twin" label. She still goes to class with Pomeline 's girlfriend though and is happy for them even if she doesn’t really see how her horror-obsessed sister could be with someone as soft and childlike as her.

She also goes to High Velocity concerts often even if she prefers other genres like rap or hip-hop and is not as much into the whole "Gothic " aesthetics as the rest of her family. However, she gets along with her dad because he shows her different writing techniques when working on his screenplays - she would like to be a copywriter or marketing specialist and write catchy slongans for ads, having never skipped a single advertisment sequence on TV since she was a child.

She still has some gothic elements to her outfits. She has a naturally ivory skintone and thinks that not using dark make-up like [black matte lipstick, silver and black eyeshadow with spooky face jewelry , long fake eyelashes , navy blue eye pencil ] would be a waste of her potential. She, however, dresses much more casually and favors sports clothing in neutral colours - Adidas sweatshirts , grey running shoes, mid-length Nike socks and black yoga pants or even sweatpants. She tries to kind of make the goth aesthetic suit her other main hobby besides writing - which is running and playing soccer in the local junior women’s soccer team. She has dirty blonde hair which is wavy and often unkempt because of how much physical activity she engages in - no matter how much she tries to make that ponytail , buns or French braid look neat. The ends of her hair are dyed silver and she wants to move forward by cutting the hair jaw-length and adapting the silver dye to the entire hairstyle - it will be more comfortable that way! She is not the biggest fan of piercings, only having the standard lobe one and wearing very minimalist , golden or rosegold earrings in geometric shapes. She wants to have a tatoo on her left shoulder which depicts brown and golden spikes of wheat , with a dove flying above them - honoring both her moms , as Theresa is a name that means “to harvest” while Virginia means " pure , virginal " and doves are symbols of purity. She is not sure about it 100% though, which is why she decided to wait 2 years until she is 19.

The philosophy class with Mrs. Whelan is something she finds very enriching. She likes gaining knowledge about different trains of thought over the centuries, having always been quite prone to wistfulnesss and self-reflection. She finds the ancient philosophy of stoicism quite fascinating and wishes she could adapt it one day - for now, she sometimes feels like her emotions control her more than she is able to control them , many squabbles in the house between the Newman siblings stem from her expressing anger or frustration over the behaviour of others.

Sports help her clear the mind and she is an amazing leader , knowing how to motivate them and being able to always give constructive criticism , even if she mostly uses harsh words when giving it. Healthy and active life is her own philosophy , even if she has to work on the diet aspect - loving donuts and sugary Starbucks coffee more than anything

Zoha Hafsa Yujad - 14-year-old in Bainhurst Middle School Coding Club

This next student is a pacifist, and tends to take that into account when styling themselves, from t-shirts with powerful peace slogans on them to jeans with peace signs embroidered into them. recently becoming non-binary, this fourteen year old, has changed from the self consious twelve year old into a self-loving teenager! They are the softer half of the duo that was mentioned earlier on, when talking about Kat.

This students peacefulness has been brought on by Syria, the country they used to call home, until war broke out, and they and their Mother, sister and father escaped to the states. They are pretty, and considerate, but hate being told this, because they are modest like their Mother and compliments are dreaded. Miss Kaplan is someone they engage with a lot, talking to her about the predjudice they both face in their every day lives due to being part of the LGBTQ+ community, but Miss Kaplan reaches out to them and encourages them to say what she is feeling.

With short brown hair, often braided, and a small nose and big eyes, this person could easily pass for 11, and uses this as an advantage when in restraunts, so she may eat free

The next student is a 12 year old boy who tried out for Jojo but got placed into the ensemble. He comes from a small family, just his parents, his 9-year old sister, and him. His dad is a pastor at the local non-denominational Christian church. His mom works as a healthcare technician at the Bainhurst Area Hospital. The family also has a labrador retriever named Bailey.

He has floppy dirty blonde hair and brown eyes with lots of freckles along his face. He enjoys wearing name brand athletic wear, especially hoodies, because he likes how comfortable they are. He was a little bummed out to find out he was placed into the ensemble, but he’s actually been having a pretty good time so far. He thinks Myles is perfect for the role of JoJo and the two have actually become close friends during this time.

The next student is a 13-year-old girl, who is in 8th grade (Year 9). She is one of the dancers in this musical. She has been dancing since she was three, and is somewhat seen as the “star” out of all of the dancers in the group. She’s great at pretty much any style of dance, but her favorites are lyrical and tap.
Some people see this girl as a unpredictable and sometimes childish, although, she her family and friends know that she is in fact quite mature, compassionate, and caring. She is also highly observant and a bit shy at times, although she never gets scared while performing.
The dancer is quite tall, has espresso skin, brown eyes, and long brown hair. She comes from a fairly small family, living with her mom, dad, and her older sister.

He has green and blonde hair and developed a post-breakup e-boy aesthetic which has helped him develop his own unique style, with a nickname deriving from his unique last name. His family are part danish.

The 17th student is a 12-year-old girl. She originally tried out for the Cat in the Hat role, believing she was a shoe-in for the lead. However, she was extremely disappointed to be given one of the Bird Girl roles instead.

This student always knew she was destined for a special arts school like Jennings-McGill, and intends to get into an even more selective arts high school. Her ultimate dream is to become a famous actress, specifically in musical theater. She is an exceptional singer and good dancer, but her acting could use some work. However, you would be hard-pressed to tell her this, as Mx. Nicholson has been. She believes she was unfairly duped out of the role of Cat in the Hat, and despises Faun for getting the role instead. She is also jealous of students like Josie, Ember, and Kayla, who she believes got roles better than hers that they didn’t deserve over her. Needless to say, this student is not well-liked among the other students, and doesn’t really have friends in the musical theater class.

This student comes from a wealthy and privileged background. Her parents are both lawyers who work a lot and got her interested in extracurriculars so she would have something to do while they were working, and hopefully not feel so alone. However, her parents’ long working hours have affected her nonetheless and she is lonely at heart. She is closer with her nanny, Mary, who still picks her up from school and practice most days, than she is with either of her parents.

The eighteenth student is a 12-year-old boy who is a dancer. He is super confident being a dancer, playing the title role in The Nutcracker last [name_u]December[/name_u]. However he is less talented in dances other than ballet. In addition, he feels some pressure as a male in a dance role and wishes he knew more male dancers he could see as friends and role models. Still, having his mother and two older sisters be great dancers has inspired him. He and [name_f]Arabelle[/name_f] are great friends and he has nicknamed her “ [name_f]Arabesque[/name_f] “, a name she is flattered by due to her confidence and love for dancing, but she only allows the other dancers to call her that.

The next girl is 13 and she auditioned for a Bird Girl. She thinks this role is perfect for her - combining , singing and dancing opportunities with not much responsibilty and enough space to both gain some experience in theathre and have time to goof around with fellow cast members. She is one of 3 bird girls and can’t understnad why Marie doesn’t appreciate the role that she has. However, she always tries to cheer her up the best she can and doesn’t avoid her in spite of the negativity she spreads when it comes to badmouthing Josie , Ember , Kayla and especially Faun. Having a rather fussy younger sibling who acts similiar to Marie , she feels some kind of protective instinct towards her even if she wouldn’t call herself a friend of hers.

Always looking at the bright side of life, this student is an African American girl with beautifully styled natural hair, dark brown eyes and the biggest, brightest smile with dimples. She doesn’t take life too seriously and loves frilly, princess-like clothing despite some girls at her middle school calling her childish for it. She has a unique kind of charisma and humour that make her able to stand out, but if she needs to she will fade into the background and focus on strengthening her team - exactly what she does when doing something together with her two younger siblings or in this case, being part of the three Bird Girls. She’s a picky eater and never eats the catered food that this theathre class gets , instaed bringing her own snacks. She hates dairy the most, even if she isn’t allergic to it , and will absolutely not drink milk unless her mom makes it chocolate-flavoured with cocoa powder.

Mx. Nicholson likes her attitude towards Marie and can see that it works wonders in changing Marie 's attitude towards her role, making her more enthusiastic. This student admires Mx. Nicholson for the fact that they are attentive towards students but stay firm when talked back at by some of the more rebellious ones - reminding the girl of her own mother. Even if she take acting too seriously, Mx. Nicholson 's guidance made her eager to participate in more extracurricular activities in the future and hopefully meet more amazing teachers.

The twentieth student in the workshop is 11 years old and is cast as a Who. He has short red hair and hazel colored eyes. His friends often call him nicknames related to his hair - Red, Flame, Carrot boy etc. which he finds hilarious. He is a very short and scrawny kid, still waiting to hit a growth spurt.

He was adopted as a baby from foster care after being taken out of an abusive house. He has an older biological sister who is 13 and 2 younger brothers who are 8 and 5. Their family has two cats, Vivian and Scott, and one hamster, Ferrari.

He chose to audition for the role of a Who because he didn’t want a big major role. His sister thought that he would be good at the role. He is excited for his parents and siblings to see him on stage.

He also had a fear in the back of his mind that the world was ending but that has since gone away. His older sisters laughed when he said he wanted to get into theatre but were pleasantly surprised at his courage and ability to act well despite his worries. He is an ensemble role.

The twenty-second girl is the sister of Tommy Overro-Lakely. She has suffered some bullying from her sister growing up - being picked on because of her weight and feeling generally inferior to her, even if despite the bullying there was stil a part of her which truly admired Thomasina.

This 14-year-old has always loved acting but her parents put most of their resources on supporting Tommy 's dream to become an opera singer - she got a vocal coach and trained her mezzo-soprano beautifully , which then contributed to her becoming a perfectionist but also developing a superiority complex towards anyone who didn’t sing. As such , the girl developed an interest in musicals and started singing while acting , also trying to incorporate some of Tommy 's rococopunk aesthetic in order to try and better her relationship with Tommy by becoming more like her. However, even that lead to conflict - Tommy would yell at her and her sisters for creasing or staining her elaborate plum or crimson colored dresses, even if the “damage” done to the clothes was minimal.

Eventually the girl found her own way and instaed of rococopunk adapted more of a romantic goth aesthetic → she loves lacey dresses and flowy materials , but avoids corsets like wildfire. She’s also fond of jewelry as long as the gemstone is black. Her favourite are trapezoid-shaped obsidian earrings and a black pearl necklace she got from her grandma as a gift for her First Communion and didn’t like it much then until she fell in love with it a year ago. She also puts a lot of work into her make-up - pale foundation, cherry red lipstick and “cat’s eye” eyeliner. Her brows are not visible due to her having bangs and shoulder-length, perfectly straightened hair which is also jet black.

Due to finding some like-minded friends in the goth community she finally stood up to Tommy and confronted her parents when it comes to what she saw as clear favouritism towards the 17-year-old. They didn’t realise all of Tommy 's 3 sisters had those feelings and now put more effort into paying attention to each of the girls individually as well as having regular “family trips” to parks, bowling alleys , swimming pools and other fun places every month. This proved counterproductive for Tommy who felt enraged by this sudden change and turned her anger on the school environment instaed of her siblings. She eventually found a target in Beatrice " Bee " Elinora Leavell whose rich voice in the contralto range and caring nature towards the elderly caused envy within Thomasina. Being a true crime fanatic, she compared her to the main character of a white-collar criminal case she closely followed - Elizabeth Holmes.

Although the bullying campaign ended months ago, this 14-year-old knows from Cal Newman (whose brother Thorn is close with Bee 's boyfriend Kelso - they play in the same band High Velocity ) that Bee is still dealing with the ripple effects of it. She fell deep into the fandom of Elizabeth Holmes and defends the now convicted fraudster, Bee even reacted to the point of yelling at her friend for doing as little as watching “The Droupout” Hulu series trailer which tells the story of Holmes ,calling it “slenderous propaganda”. As far as the girl hears , Beatrice even wrote a letter to the woman which she plans on sending. Cal thinks that it’s just a coping mechanism on Bee 's part for being compared to Holmes. She tries to rationalise a stranger’s actions because she, too , sees the clear similarities between their voices and “corporate-like” styles of clothing. Having read every single hateful message on Tommy 's infamous Facebook page - which indicated that just because of those similarities, Bee is a fraudster, too , and uses dishonest promotion practices for High Velocity - the bullying victim eventually started to believe it and therefore trying to cope with it by defending Holmes.

For this girl, Bee 's story is heartbreaking and she would love reaching out to Bee in order to tell her that her voice and style being similiar to a criminal’s one is no indication of her own character and she doesn’t have to rationalize a stranger’s wrongdoings just because Tommy 's bullying made her feel like she does. Her role of Gertrude McFuzz is closely tied to Calloway 's role of Horton the Elephant and so , while practicing their roles behind the scenes , the girl had more than opportunity to hear about it. She also has developed strong feelings for Calloway due to the very friendly nature of their relationship both on-stage and off-stage. However, she knows the Newman siblings don’t have the best opinion about the Overro-Lakely family and she doesn’t blame them. She knows that Tommy is genuinely remorseful when it comes to her bullying campaign and has made steps to deal with her anger and jealousy issues with a licensed therapist , Graham. However, even if she knows that Tommy is sorry, she hasn’t forgiven her for the emotional damage she and her other 2 sisters endured - she doesn’t expect it from Bee , either.

The 14-year old reckons that Tommy has no chance to truly change as long as she remains friends with the overly ambitious pianist from St. Paul’s Orchestra - Boudicca Lascar-Yancey , or the antisocial and standoffish Sapphire Whitam. It pains her to say it - knowing that Bo and Tommy sound beautiful together when her sister sings alongside her friends playing, and Saph was an amazing emotional support for Tommy when she was at her absolute lowest. However, she thinks that both friendships should end as they contribute to less than desireable traits being highlighted in Tommy 's behaviour. She 's heard rumours about Saph and Bo having feelings for eachother and quietly hopes that Tommy will naturally distance herself due to becoming the third wheel.

The next student is the third and final Bird Girl, who tends to find herself trying to keep out of any drama regarding Marie’s feelings on the part, mostly because she’s of the perspective she was lucky getting a role period given her terrible memory. There’s never been much of a reason given for why this 13-year-old can remember the random fact books she lives on perfectly but anything vaguely academic or performative vanishes from her brain, but she tries her best to do well at school, arguably being a little hard on herself when it comes to academic accomplishments. She’s determined to not let anything hold her back, in spite of not being entirely clear on what she wants to pursue in the future, just that it has something to do with the nursing profession (having been inspired by her mom, a midwife who she always knows she can confide in and seek advice from).

Being biracial - her mom is white, while her dad’s Taiwanese-American - she mostly takes after her paternal family and speaks Mandarin fluently, as well as Hokkien thanks to her ancestry. Her skin is lightly tanned and heavily freckled, a trait she gets from her maternal Irish genes, which compliments her deep brown hair that’s straight in texture and usually pushed back with a simple hairband or a few cute clips (often colour coordinated with her outfits). She has coffee coloured eyes and a very bright smile - having a small gap between her two front teeth - usually dressing in a lowkey, feminine centric, light academia style, notably having a preference for wingtip shoes. For special occasions though, she dresses in traditional Taiwanese clothing and takes a lot of pride in it, happily answering whatever questions come her way from friends and classmates as it means a great deal to her.

As the middle child, she does sometimes unfairly compare herself to her older sister - a notably gifted student who belongs to the honour roll - and doesn’t have much in common with her sports obsessed little brother: who seems to exist just to annoy her and mess up her stuff. What she does take pride in is her social skills, being a lot better at making friends and getting on with others, always being the sibling to flourish at family gatherings - being especially close to her granny, who’s currently teaching her how to knit, a source of pride for her as it’s something she can do better than her sister. She feels guilt about this, loving her older sibling in spite of their personalities being so different, and tries to temper it with defending her name to anyone who accuses the older girl of being snooty or arrogant.

The next member of the cast is playing Vlad Vladikoff. He is a 14 year old boy with jet black hair and green eyes. His hair is pretty straight, but it comes down to almost his shoulders. His parents, a gay couple, don’t love his hairstyle, but they will let their son do what makes him happy. He thinks he’s perfect for the role of Vlad Vladikoff, having the iconic black hair. He wants people to know that he isn’t super mean however, despite what his character might portray.

He lives a few miles outside of Bainhurst in a newer housing development. He lives with his parents and the family dogs - a havanese named Charlie, a golden retriever named Sunny, and a Jack Russell Terrier named Max. His teachers have raved about how smart this student is and how he’s just a joy to have in class. He isn’t the most popular student, but he has a big heart. He knows that some people may judge his family for being a gay couple, so he wants to make sure anyone who might feel different knows they are loved.

(sorry i was on a trip and didn’t have my computer haha)
