Literally me. I was considering deleting my account, but I just ended up making a new one instead

I’m feeling very defensive about [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f] [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]. We’ll see if I feel defensive enough to put it in my user card. I don’t know why I bother with polls if I just immediately ignore the results.
I got you!
Thanks, [name_f]Felicity[/name_f](if that’s the name you chose)!
It is the name I chose! I really like it, and almost everyone else seemed to as well
I’m pretty sure [name_u]Kyle[/name_u] is a stereotype of edgy teen boys who drink Monster [name_f]Energy[/name_f] and punch walls. Think of it and [name_f]Karen[/name_f] as punching up.
I think that’s okay! A lot of times, a poll just helps you (me) clear up how you (I) really feel about a certain name. The poll was still effective, just not in the way I think we (I) always expect it to be.
I love Schitt’s [name_u]Creek[/name_u]!!! “DAV-iiiiiiiiD!”
Actually, [name_m]David[/name_m] and I are very similar in personality and his sister reminds me of my sister. Except we were never rich lol
Now I’m just actively rooting for the least popular combination (which is now [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f], with a grand total of two votes)… I don’t know what it is about last place that makes me appreciate a combination more.
I love the show, too! I don’t think I match any of the characters’ personalities, but I find both [name_m]David[/name_m] and [name_u]Alexis[/name_u] so funny. I love their sarcastic senses of humor.
I don’t know how much this can be considered a meme, but it just makes me very angry and amused at the same time when the nameberry writes about the names of foreign cultures, even without understanding them. Most of the “Russian” names either do not exist in [name_f]Russia[/name_f] in fact, or are not used, or are diminutive (in our country it is not welcomed by society to write them down in documents). I am not a hurray-patriot and I do not demand from people of other cultures a thorough knowledge of my country, but at least a little need to understand the subject about which you are writing. Sorry, “boiled over”
I kind of get this, too.
If it makes you feel better, the Irish names section is entertaining for my Irish friends too. Their Top 100 does have Irish names, but they’re traditionally Celtic names, not the Irish surnames turned first that Nameberry has listed for 60% of the Irish section. (As a broad generalisation)
I think what’s happened is they’ve put everything of Irish/Russian origin in one place, without a disclaimer for whether it’s actually traditionally used as a first name in those cultures.
If you find a really bad example, you should message the mods. It’s in the site creators’ interest to keep the wiki correct after all!
Thanks for the advice! I wrote this when I saw the name [name_f]Oksanochka[/name_f]. The point is that the “chk” suffix is added when someone wants to emphasize that something is cute or small. [name_m]Even[/name_m] inanimate objects. (Sumka (bag) -> Sumochka (small bag)). So you can make out any name: [name_m]Vanechka[/name_m] ([name_m]Vanya[/name_m]), [name_f]Anechka[/name_f] ([name_f]Anya[/name_f]). But this is just an affectionate appeal, this is not the first name in any way
