[name_f]Sadie[/name_f] - 7/10. [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] is so sweet!
[name_f]Dixie[/name_f] - 0/10. I really donā€™t like the association with racism, sorry! I love [name_f]Pixie[/name_f] though!! Or maybe youā€™d like [name_f]Trixie[/name_f] or [name_f]Nixie[/name_f]?
[name_f]Elle[/name_f] - 10/10. short, sweet, pretty, spunky! It always reminds me of [name_f]Elle[/name_f] [name_m]Woods[/name_m] and I love that association.
[name_u]Eden[/name_u] - 8/10. [name_u]Eden[/name_u] is sooo pretty. I actually happen to prefer it on a boy, but I do really love the nn [name_f]Edie[/name_f]!
[name_u]Arden[/name_u] - 8/10. another pretty one, I love the sound of it!
[name_u]Paisley[/name_u] - 6/10. A little too southern for my tastes, but itā€™s cute!
[name_f]Amber[/name_f] - 7/10. Iā€™ve always liked [name_f]Amber[/name_f], but it does seem a tiny bit dated. [name_u]Ember[/name_u] could freshen it up, if you like it!
[name_f]Chesney[/name_f] - 3/10. I love the nn [name_f]Chessie[/name_f], and the nature connection, but this is just too associated with [name_m]Kenny[/name_m] [name_f]Chesney[/name_f] for me.
[name_f]Summer[/name_f] - 9/10. beautiful, soft, sweet. I love it!

[name_m]Romeo[/name_m] - 9/10. [name_m]Romeo[/name_m] is a gp of mine, I love it so much. I think itā€™s so handsome and soft. I had a friend in high school with a little brother named [name_m]Romeo[/name_m], so it can definitely work in real life!
[name_u]Beck[/name_u] - 10/10. [name_u]Beck[/name_u] is the sweetest!! Itā€™s handsome, cool, friendly. I like it as a nn for [name_u]Beckett[/name_u] or on itā€™s own!
[name_u]Chase[/name_u] - 6/10. [name_u]Chase[/name_u] is sweet. Unfortunately, it just reminds me of Paw Patrol at the moment.
[name_u]Cody[/name_u] - 7/10. I like [name_u]Cody[/name_u]! Slightly dated to the early 2000s (at least to me!), but I still think itā€™s handsome. Iā€™d love to meet a little one named [name_u]Cody[/name_u].
[name_m]Ace[/name_m] - 8/10. [name_m]Ace[/name_m] is cool, edgy, and fun! I used to have it on my list for a long time!
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] - 10/10. [name_u]Kai[/name_u] is so soft and sweet, but with some strength. I absolutely love the nature association too!
[name_u]Brady[/name_u] - 5/10. I like the sound of [name_u]Brady[/name_u], but it seems a little dated as well.
[name_m]Junior[/name_m] - 4/10. [name_m]Junior[/name_m] is an okay nickname, but Iā€™m not a fan of [name_m]Junior[/name_m] as a given name, Iā€™m sorry! I love nn [name_f]Juni[/name_f] on a boy though, so thatā€™s why I gave it a 4!

Thank you so much for your reply ! I do agree with you about [name_f]Dixie[/name_f] and now that I think about it I prefer [name_f]Pixie[/name_f]. Iā€™m so happy you love the name [name_m]Romeo[/name_m] as very few people agree with me on my love of that name !

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.

Here are my thoughts from favorite to least favorite-

Girls

  1. [name_f]Sadie[/name_f]-This is just the sweetest. Kind, friendly, down to earth sounding & old fashioned. Simple & not terribly over done.

  2. [name_u]Eden[/name_u]-This name is growing on me recently. It has a peaceful feeling. Itā€™s feminine w/out being frilly. Itā€™s simple & not terribly over done as well.

  3. [name_f]Summer[/name_f]-I love the season, & this just reminds me of sun & beaches. Really nice.

  4. [name_f]Elle[/name_f]-Simple & elegant.

  5. [name_f]Amber[/name_f]-This used to be my favorite name when I was a kid. Iā€™ve grown apart from it, but itā€™s not bad. you donā€™t hear it a lot these days, & it has sort of a soft quiet exotic feel.

  6. [name_u]Arden[/name_u]-This is not my styleā€¦kind of too masculine for a girl but too feminine for a boy kind of name. Itā€™s not horrible at all though.

  7. [name_f]Dixie[/name_f]-I donā€™t care for this one. It sounds a bit flimsy, & the whole [name_u]Mason[/name_u]-[name_m]Dixon[/name_m] line association may be tainting this name.

  8. [name_f]Chesney[/name_f]-Meh, I donā€™t care for it. Not sure why.

  9. [name_u]Paisley[/name_u]-This is trendy & flimsy sounding. Not sure why I donā€™t like it. I like other similar flower names like [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] & [name_f]Posey[/name_f] a lot.

Boys-

  1. [name_m]Ace[/name_m]-I prefer this as a nn, but itā€™s so cute! Smart, quirky, simple & charming. I really think that it can be a nn for basically any ā€˜Aā€™ name.

  2. [name_u]Kai[/name_u]-This has such a peaceful cool surfer dude feel. Itā€™s simple & not over done. Great choice.

  3. [name_u]Chase[/name_u]-I like this, because itā€™s a baseball player-y name. A [name_u]Chase[/name_u] is really sporty & lovable. I like it as a nn for [name_m]Charles[/name_m] too.

  4. [name_u]Cody[/name_u]-This is not my favorite, but itā€™s not awful. Kind of a cool surfer dude vibe too, so I like that.

  5. [name_u]Beck[/name_u]-Meh, it doesnā€™t do much for me. Not sure why.

  6. [name_m]Romeo[/name_m]-This is just so dramatic. I like other fancy Italian names, but I canā€™t picture this on anyone besides a gruff flirty older man.

  7. [name_u]Brady[/name_u]-[name_m]Way[/name_m] too trendy & bimbo-y for me.

  8. [name_m]Junior[/name_m]-Definitely weird as a given name. Maybe cute for a dog, but not a human.

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.

Sadie-5/10 Iā€™ve never loved this name Iā€™m not sure why. But itā€™s growing on me!
[name_f]Dixie[/name_f]-7/10 I really like this name despite its unpopularity here on Nameberry
[name_f]Elle[/name_f]-10/10 I love this name! Itā€™s simple yet so feminine! And I love [name_f]Elle[/name_f] [name_m]Woods[/name_m] from legally blonde!
[name_u]Eden[/name_u]-9/10 I love this one and I love the imagery! Plus ā€œ[name_f]Edie[/name_f]ā€ is a great nickname!
[name_u]Arden[/name_u]-3/10 [name_u]Arden[/name_u] has a very harsh sound to me.
[name_u]Paisley[/name_u]-4/10 too trendy for me
[name_f]Amber[/name_f]-2/10 I feel like so many mean girls on tv growing up weā€™re named [name_f]Amber[/name_f].
Chensey-1/10 feels made up and reminds me of cheese for some reason
[name_f]Summer[/name_f]-10/10 timeless name that ages well

Romeo-1/10 itā€™s too associated with the story [name_m]Romeo[/name_m] and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] for me. Although [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] has broken away from the story so maybe [name_m]Romeo[/name_m] could!
[name_u]Beck[/name_u] 10/10 solid name! Itā€™s strong, handsome, and simple! I love it!
[name_u]Chase[/name_u]-5/10 way too trendy for me, I know so many Chases. Maybe [name_u]Chance[/name_u] or [name_m]Kase[/name_m]?
[name_u]Cody[/name_u]-3/10 Iā€™m just not a fan of this
[name_m]Ace[/name_m]-10/10 love [name_m]Ace[/name_m]! Itā€™s so hip and simple!! Very cool!
[name_u]Kai[/name_u]-10/10 super cool! It gives me surfer dude vibes!
[name_u]Brady[/name_u]-3/10 too trendy and it reminds me of the [name_u]Brady[/name_u] bunch
[name_m]Junior[/name_m]-0/10 I really donā€™t like this one. [name_m]Junior[/name_m] sounds so childish and people will think your child is your SOā€™s name [name_m]Jr[/name_m].

  • [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] - 5/10 [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] is bright and playful. Itā€™s become rather popular, for both dogs and girls, but I still think itā€™s a great choice.

  • [name_f]Dixie[/name_f] - 2/10 I assume this one really only would work in the deep [name_u]South[/name_u], imo. In all honesty, it would sound very hick-ish where I live, but I imagine it might sound really sweet in the [name_u]South[/name_u] or the [name_u]West[/name_u]. I do get the appeal of this one, though, as it has a really cute sound. [name_f]My[/name_f] mom is a country music fan, and I remember her playing [name_f]Dixie[/name_f] Chicks CDs when I was a kid ā€“ thatā€™s my first association.

  • [name_f]Elle[/name_f] - 8/10 [name_f]Elle[/name_f] is so chic! It feels so versatile. I can see an [name_f]Elle[/name_f] wearing and aging well on any type of girl, and itā€™s really lovely in general ā€“ gently [name_u]French[/name_u], tailored yet feminine, and fresher than [name_f]Ella[/name_f].

  • [name_u]Eden[/name_u] - 6/10 I really like [name_u]Eden[/name_u]. Like [name_f]Elle[/name_f], it feels very versatile. I like that it sits right on the line between vintage and modern.

  • [name_u]Arden[/name_u] - 4/10 I tend to prefer it one on a boy, but [name_u]Arden[/name_u] is definitely unisex and would wear beautifully on a girl. I get much the same vibe with this one as I do [name_u]Eden[/name_u], though it has more of a surname-y vibe.

  • [name_u]Paisley[/name_u] - 2/10 [name_u]Paisley[/name_u] is cute, but itā€™s become so common anymore.

  • [name_f]Amber[/name_f] - 1/10 This feels pretty dated to me ā€“ all the [name_m]Ambers[/name_m] I have met/known have been between my age and my momā€™s age. And, tbh, I donā€™t really find the sound very appealing.

  • [name_f]Chesney[/name_f] - 5/10 This is one of those thatā€™s not really for me, but I love seeing it in other peopleā€™s lists because itā€™s so unique and cool!

  • [name_f]Summer[/name_f] - 1/10 I donā€™t love [name_f]Summer[/name_f] myself. It would feel odd for a baby born in any of the other three seasons, but it would feel rather on the nose for a baby born in summer.

  • [name_m]Romeo[/name_m] - 7/10 I find [name_m]Romeo[/name_m] to be very dramatic and handsome, but Iā€™m not sure how wearable it would be irl. [name_m]Romeo[/name_m] [name_m]Montague[/name_m] makes it less appealing, but then [name_m]Romeo[/name_m] in Newsies is so charming! Soā€¦yeah, I like it!

  • [name_u]Beck[/name_u] - 8/10 So effortlessly cool! I love this one.

  • [name_u]Chase[/name_u] - 3/10 This one was more popular when I was a kid, so it lacks freshness today, imho.

  • [name_u]Cody[/name_u] - 3/10 See [name_u]Chase[/name_u].

  • [name_m]Ace[/name_m] - 5/10 This one would be pretty cool to see on a kid today. It does feel pretty nickname-y to me, but I think it could work on its own, too.

  • [name_u]Kai[/name_u] - 5/10 I get cool surfer vibes from [name_u]Kai[/name_u]. Not a huge fan of it myself, but pretty much everyone seems to love it.

  • [name_u]Brady[/name_u] - 6/10 I like [name_u]Brady[/name_u]. It has a nice, down-to-earth feel thatā€™s very appealing.

  • [name_m]Junior[/name_m] - 2/10 Definitely better as a nickname for a child who has his fatherā€™s name in full!

Thank you so much for your reply ! I do agree with you on [name_f]Dixie[/name_f] as I love the [name_f]Dixie[/name_f] Chicks but I donā€™t like the negative associations of the name. I agree with you on [name_f]Elle[/name_f] I love the [name_u]French[/name_u] meaning !

1.) [name_u]Paisley[/name_u]- Iā€™ve loved this since the first time I heard it. Iā€™m not normally into trendy sounding names, and this definitely is one, but I love it anyway! 10/10
2.) [name_u]Arden[/name_u]- Another love at first sight name! Very exotic and cool! 10/10
3.) [name_f]Sadie[/name_f]- I love how cute and spunk this name is! The only thing I could think of against it is that I know a [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] and she says she always meets dogs with this name. I donā€™t think it really bothers her, though. 8/10
4.) [name_f]Dixie[/name_f]- I love its spunky-yet-sweet, southern feel, yet I would be worried that it would be hard to have in real life. 7/10
5.) [name_f]Chesney[/name_f]- Iā€™m not a huge fan, but I understand the appeal. It feels more unique than many of the other popular ā€œeyā€ ending names, and it sounds like a pretty little town in [name_f]England[/name_f], which I also like. 7/10
6.) [name_f]Elle[/name_f]- I wish I could like the streamlined elegance of [name_f]Elle[/name_f], but as someone who has been studying [name_u]French[/name_u] for a long time, it sounds a little awkward to name a daughter ā€œshe.ā€ This would definitely be something to keep in mind, because you donā€™t know if a daughter would end up studying [name_u]French[/name_u] or traveling to a [name_u]French[/name_u]-speaking country. However, I do think this would be a great character names. 5/10
7.) [name_f]Summer[/name_f]- In my opinion, pretty but meh. I like really unique names, so I would probably use something like [name_f]Sunniva[/name_f] to get a similar vibe, but I absolutely understand the appeal. 5/10
8.) [name_u]Eden[/name_u]- This is one of those names that I want to like, but just canā€™t. I know this name has so many good qualities. So while I personally wouldnā€™t give it a high ranking, you probably shouldnā€™t listen to my opinion on this one. 3/10
9.) [name_f]Amber[/name_f]- I just donā€™t like this. I donā€™t want to be rude in any way, but it sounds so dated and just bland. I would go for another color name, or a name like [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] or [name_f]Amalia[/name_f] that uses ā€œAm.ā€ 1/10

Thank you so much for your reply ! Iā€™m so happy you like [name_u]Paisley[/name_u] as most people seem to either love it or hate it but I love it. Iā€™ve never heard the name [name_f]Sunniva[/name_f] before but I really like it so thank you

Oops, forgot boys! Let me continue:

1.) [name_m]Romeo[/name_m]- I would love to meet a [name_m]Romeo[/name_m]! Itā€™s gorgeous yet would be cool for any boy! 10/10
2.) [name_u]Kai[/name_u]- I know a little [name_u]Kai[/name_u], and it wears very well. I love this! 10/10
3.) [name_m]Ace[/name_m]- Short, sweet, and to the point. Very cool! 9/10
4.) [name_u]Brady[/name_u]- Down to earth, very handsome! 8/10
5.) [name_u]Beck[/name_u]- Cool and modern without being trendy! 7/10
6 & 7.) [name_u]Chase[/name_u] and [name_u]Cody[/name_u] both sound a little less exotic and cool as your others, but probably because Iā€™ve known so many. 6/10
8.) [name_m]Junior[/name_m]- I donā€™t like this unless the kid was actually a junior. It would diminish a childā€™s importance, by making them feel like just a copy of their father. And if they werenā€™t actually a junior, it would be awkward. 1/10

Thank you so much again ! Iā€™m so glad you like [name_m]Romeo[/name_m] ! I do agree with you on [name_m]Junior[/name_m] and although I do like the sound of the name I probably would not use it on a child

[name_f]Sadie[/name_f] - 9/10 [name_u]Love[/name_u] this! Super spunky, short & sweet, reminds me of the young actress [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] Sink. Took a point off cos it has ā€œsadā€ in it.

[name_f]Dixie[/name_f] - 4/10 Itā€™s okay but it feels like it should be a nickname only, and Iā€™m not sure how it would age.

[name_f]Elle[/name_f] - 6.5/10 Nice and pretty but kind of underwhelming.

[name_u]Eden[/name_u] - 10/10 I love [name_u]Eden[/name_u]! I love the meaning, the sound, itā€™s easy to spell and pronounceā€¦ It feels magical without being over-the-top.

[name_u]Arden[/name_u] - 8.5/10 I really like [name_u]Arden[/name_u], but it doesnā€™t sound great in my accent unfortunately. Feels very naturey and spunky, tomboyish, I think it would age well too.

[name_u]Paisley[/name_u] - 7/10 Not really my style but I can appreciate the appeal of it, and paisley is a nice pattern!

[name_f]Amber[/name_f] - 6/10 [name_m]Just[/name_m] not as sparkly as [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] or [name_f]Sapphire[/name_f]!

[name_f]Chesney[/name_f] - 1/10 Sorry, I know this is pink on NB but I just canā€™t see it on a girl. [name_f]Chesney[/name_f] [name_m]Brown[/name_m] from Coronation [name_f]Street[/name_f] has ruined this name for me.

[name_f]Summer[/name_f] - 7/10 [name_f]Summer[/name_f] is a great season to be named after, but personally I prefer other, less overused calendar names like [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] or [name_f]September[/name_f].

[name_m]Romeo[/name_m] - 6.5/10 I really like it and I want to like it more, it is handsome, romantic and has a lovely soft sound. But I think he would get a lot of ā€œwherefore art thou, [name_m]Romeo[/name_m]?ā€ I prefer [name_m]Roman[/name_m] or [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] instead.

[name_u]Beck[/name_u] - 4/10 It feels unfinished to me, I prefer [name_u]Beckett[/name_u] or [name_m]Brecken[/name_m] with [name_u]Beck[/name_u] as a nickname.

[name_u]Chase[/name_u] - 7.5/10 Iā€™m not sure how this one would age but I love it on a kid, it has such a fun sound. It makes me think of running around in the garden playing tag.

[name_u]Cody[/name_u] - 6/10 Iā€™m not sure what it is I donā€™t like about this one but it just isnā€™t my style. Itā€™s not bad though.

[name_m]Ace[/name_m] - 9/10 I really like [name_m]Ace[/name_m]. It feels like an inspirational name, like you hope [name_m]Ace[/name_m] will ace everything he chooses to do.

[name_u]Kai[/name_u] - 5/10 Itā€™s okay but I feel like every boy and his dog is called [name_u]Kai[/name_u].

[name_u]Brady[/name_u] - 6/10 Similar to [name_u]Cody[/name_u], just not really my style but itā€™s not bad. Reminds me of the [name_u]Brady[/name_u] bunch a lot.

[name_m]Junior[/name_m] - 2/10 I donā€™t think [name_m]Junior[/name_m] ages well. What about when [name_m]Junior[/name_m] isnā€™t so junior anymore? What about when heā€™s 45 years old and 6 feet tall? Feels odd.
