Usability (in my opinion): 1 (unusable) - 10 (definitely usable)
Girls –
Jemison “Jemmy” (8/10) – Could be confused with Jameson, but otherwise I don’t see anything wrong with it
Persephone “Percy” (9/10) – Although I have encountered pronunciation issues here and there, I like it and think it’s usable! Percy on a girl is adorable.
Delta “Delly” (3/10) – Difficult one. Here’s a topic with many different viewpoints on the usability of this name, if you’d like some more insights. I personally think it isn’t really usable at the moment but could be in future, under the right circumstances.
Margot Xanthea (10/10) – Xanthea is fun and quirky and is definitely usable in the middle in my opinion. Max is an ingenious nickname!
Scotland “Scout” (7/10) – Scotland “Scout” is adorable, and Scotland is a wonderful place, but it’s one of those names that I would only use if it had a meaning behind it (like a personal connection to the country)
Finlay “Fin” (8/10) – Finley’s well established for a girl, so it’s only the occasional spelling correction that might be necessary, perfectly usable
Endellion “Delly” (7/10) – Such an elegant name! I think it could work!
Boys –
D’Artagnan “Dart” (6/10) – A very cool name, but especially the difficult pronunciation and the apostrophe could cause problems, although I’m not sure how many people will be familiar with the name due to the novels
Asa “Ace” (10/10) – Love it! Definitely usable.
Caspian “Cass” (10/10) – Love the fantasy-esque feel. Usable!
Finnick “Finn” (9/10) – I’d take a point of for the term “finicky”, but otherwise it’s an offbeat yet recognisable name with potential
Paxton “Pax” (10/10) – Definitely usable! Pax is a great nickname.
Rhyolite “Rye” (4/10) – GP for me unfortunately, although it does have the build to work: Fairly intuitive pronunciation, familiar nickname
Tobias “Toby” (10/10) – 100% usable
Lovely list overall! My personal favourites are Margot Xanthea “Max”, Scotland “Scout”, Asa, and Caspian
