We recently welcomed our sweet boy [name_m]Leo[/name_m] Minzi. For his first name, we were looking for something short, strong, and rich with history. [name_m]Leo[/name_m] fit those requirements perfectly for us. Minzi honors [name_m]Leo[/name_m]'s Chinese heritage.

[name_u]Harbor[/name_u] [name_m]Alister[/name_m] Hutcheon arrived on [name_f]May[/name_f] 8th! I have this site and other sites to thank for ten years of help pondering the perfect name. His middle name is after [name_m]Alister[/name_m] McKenzie, a golf course designer (husbands pick  )

Our sweet baby girl, [name_f]Jacinda[/name_f] [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] arrived [name_u]June[/name_u] 7th. Her four year old brother, [name_m]Nolan[/name_m] [name_m]Evander[/name_m] was excited to meet her and is already in love and acting as her protector!

I think [name_f]Jacinda[/name_f] sounds delicate yet strong, also unique but not too out there. It’s not so different from other nda names ([name_f]Lucinda[/name_f], [name_f]Belinda[/name_f], [name_f]Melinda[/name_f]) but it has a fresher feel, in my opinion. [name_f]Jacinda[/name_f] is a name that struck me as beautiful when I first heard it years ago and I was reminded of it while in my second trimester. It means [name_f]Hyacinth[/name_f] flower and I had been seeing them growing wildly all throughout this pregnancy.

It was also [name_m]Nolan[/name_m]'s favorite of all our name choices, and then my husband had the final say in choosing - since I named [name_m]Nolan[/name_m] (after [name_m]New[/name_m] Orleans, our favorite city).

[name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] is a family name and also my middle name.

(Thanks for reading my long winded naming explanation!)

My daughter arrived!

We’ve named her Dorothy Britt (Britt after my twin sister Brittany and Dorothy after my husband’s great-aunt- a wonderful woman who was never able to have children of her own. Plus we love the meaning!). We’ll call her Dottie.

Our daughter Elizabeth Sharon (who we call exclusively Betsy) is her big sister.

We welcomed [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] [name_m]Lazarus[/name_m], brother to [name_m]Peter[/name_m] Athanasius, on [name_f]September[/name_f] 6th!

In early [name_u]August[/name_u] we welcomed [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] [name_f]Renee[/name_f], sister to [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_f]Martha[/name_f].
Both girls have first names that are unique (both my husband and I have top 5 names from the 80’s), feminine and melodic and middle names that are family namesakes.

14!!! I know this was a while ago but congratulations! I can barely manage three sisters and they’re not even my kids! Lol

I’ve just had boy#2 [name_m]Denholm[/name_m] Warwick- named after his great-grandfather. Big brother [name_u]Keaton[/name_u] [name_u]Grey[/name_u] loves his ‘[name_u]Baby[/name_u] [name_u]Denny[/name_u]’.

She joins big brothers [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m] (4), [name_m]Callum[/name_m] [name_m]George[/name_m] (8), and [name_u]Everett[/name_u] [name_m]Paschal[/name_m] (10).

This is a bit of a delayed announcement, but our 3rd child arrived on [name_u]July[/name_u] 15th. The gender was a surprise, so we decided on her name, [name_f]Luella[/name_f] [name_f]Anna[/name_f], while in the hospital. [name_f]Luella[/name_f] was a name I had come across on Nameberry and really loved. [name_f]Anna[/name_f] was in honor of both my husband’s ([name_f]Christine[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]) and my sister ([name_f]Breanna[/name_f]).

[name_f]Lu[/name_f] joins her siblings [name_m]Callahan[/name_m] [name_u]Del[/name_u] (4 yrs) and [name_f]Elora[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] (2 yrs).

We welcomed [name_m]Connor[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m] on [name_f]October[/name_f] 14th! He weighed in at 6 lbs 3 oz, and is just such a little love! We picked [name_m]Connor[/name_m] as a nod to my grandmother, whose maiden name was Connors, and [name_m]William[/name_m] is my husband’s name as well as his dad and grandfather.

Our 4th child was stillborn at almost 30 weeks on [name_u]December[/name_u] 8th. We chose his name a couple of months before his birth, and we feel it’s a beautiful tribute name for our [name_u]Angel[/name_u] [name_u]Baby[/name_u]. His name is LeKhaiem [name_m]Edmund[/name_m]. LeKhaiem (Leh-[name_u]Kai[/name_u]-em) is Hebrew, meaning “To Life”. [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] is daddy’s middle name and great grandpas name too.
Big siblings are AnnaLaei ([name_f]Anna[/name_f]-[name_m]Lay[/name_m]) [name_f]Maurine[/name_f], Caideryn ([name_u]Kade[/name_u]-ryn) [name_m]Christopher[/name_m], and [name_u]Zola[/name_u] Gwenayra ([name_f]Gwen[/name_f]-are-uh. AKA ZolaGwen)

@sarabee1212 I’m so sorry for your loss. What a strong and meaningful name you chose, thank you for sharing it.

Welcomed [name_f]Helen[/name_f] [name_f]Frances[/name_f] this year! Given the first names of both my grandmothers, she will be our only girl. I’m grateful for her, glad her name hadn’t become popular before we could use it, saddened that I’ve had to toss my long list of girls names, and am now realizing I’m going to need a long list of boy names.

Our daughter was born on [name_u]December[/name_u] 20. Her name is [name_f]Annie[/name_f] [name_u]Marion[/name_u].

[name_f]Annie[/name_f] has been my favorite name since childhood. My husband fell in love with it when we were dating. We’ve always known it would be the name of our first daughter. For us, it has such a sweet sound and lovely associations. The meaning (grace/gracious/God’s grace) is particularly important to us, given that we have endured many losses, and God graciously chose to send her to us.

[name_u]Marion[/name_u] was chosen to honor my paternal grandmother, who was the picture of “grace”. She taught me so much about how to love others, and so [name_f]Annie[/name_f] shares her middle name. There are a few different meanings found for [name_u]Marion[/name_u], but our favorites are “beloved child” or “wished-for child”. Very relevant to our experience with [name_f]Annie[/name_f].
