Sibling for Tallulah

[name_m]Long[/name_m] time lurker, first time poster. Needing some help deciding on a potential girl name for our baby #3. We aren’t finding out what we are having this time around, so I want to have definite boy and girl names picked. We have a son named [name_m]Callahan[/name_m] [name_m]Clark[/name_m] and a daughter named [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] [name_u]Reece[/name_u]. Both middle names are family names.

We’ve pretty officially decided on [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] [name_u]Roscoe[/name_u] for a boy. MN is also a family name. Girl names are killing us.

My (weird?) name rules are that it has to have 3 syllables, can’t repeat a beginning letter (so no T or C names), and I would like the girl name to end in the “uh” sound, although that last one I could get over. Middle name will be [name_f]Mae[/name_f]. Our very short list so far is [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] or [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f]. I’m looking for opinions on those (keeping in mind we like names a little quirky), and other suggestions. Thanks!

[name_f]Ursula[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]

I know it doesn’t fit your criteria, but [name_f]Wendy[/name_f] keeps coming to mind. It shares the whimsy of your other names, without trying too hard.

[name_f]Priscilla[/name_f]

[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Mirabella[/name_f]

I love [name_f]Ramona[/name_f]! It seems perfect for you. [name_m]Callahan[/name_m], [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f], and [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] sound absolutely perfect together. [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] is lovely as well.

[name_f]Annabel[/name_f]
[name_f]Jessamine[/name_f] or [name_f]Jessamy[/name_f]

Best of luck, and congratulations!

[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] was the first that popped in my mind (although it doesn’t fit your last stipulation!) I also like [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] off your (super) short list!

Other suggestions:

[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] (no on the repetitive m?)
[name_f]Delilah[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] (too matchy-matchy?)
[name_f]Estella[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]

I always loved [name_f]Elisa[/name_f] and [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] together.
Other thoughts…
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f]
[name_f]Helena[/name_f]
[name_f]Gianna[/name_f]
[name_f]Elena[/name_f]
[name_f]Honora[/name_f]
[name_f]Felicia[/name_f]

Good luck!

I really think [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] is beautiful.

Others that might work: no t c, 3 syllable

[name_f]Miranda[/name_f]
[name_f]Natasha[/name_f]
[name_f]Lenora[/name_f] ([name_f]Leonora[/name_f]? - not sure how it’s spelt)
[name_f]Lilliana[/name_f]
[name_f]Romina[/name_f]

I adore those names!! [name_u]Love[/name_u] your choice for if it is a boy. Congrats.

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] I can help some! [SIZE=5][name_f]Aiyana[/name_f], [name_f]Kalena[/name_f], [name_f]Scarletta[/name_f], [name_f]Melora[/name_f], [name_f]Marina[/name_f], [name_f]Aubria[/name_f], [name_f]Pauletta[/name_f], [name_f]Marcella[/name_f], [name_f]Marissa[/name_f], [name_f]Natalia[/name_f], [name_f]Fiona[/name_f], [name_f]Johanna[/name_f], [name_f]Ariana[/name_f], [name_u]Delaney[/name_u], [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f], [name_f]Amberly[/name_f], [name_f]Delphina[/name_f]

I got rid of [name_f]Claudia[/name_f], [name_f]Carlotta[/name_f], [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f], Chassidy, [name_f]Callista[/name_f], [name_f]Clarissa[/name_f] due to the letter, although any of them could be spelt with a K… and [name_f]Toria[/name_f].

Since both of your kids have -ll- in their name:
[name_f]Priscilla[/name_f]
[name_f]Allegra[/name_f]
Romilla/[name_f]Romella[/name_f]/[name_f]Romolla[/name_f]
[name_f]Valletta[/name_f]
Palloma
[name_f]Noella[/name_f]
[name_f]Bellinda[/name_f]
Mellora

If not -ll-, I think keeping the double letter theme would be nice (as with [name_m]HaRRison[/name_m])

[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Calista[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Zara[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Linnea[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Petra[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Freya[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Vittoria[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Francesca[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Serena[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Valerie[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliana[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Phaedra[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]

Thank you all so much! You’ve given us some to talk about that we hadn’t brought up before.

Some of my favorite suggestions were: [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Poppy[/name_f], [name_u]Juniper[/name_u], [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f], [name_f]Fiona[/name_f], [name_f]Noella[/name_f], [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f], [name_f]Willa[/name_f], and [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]. I also still really like [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] (which is my husband’s favorite, thus far).

Sometimes we kick ourselves for making our first 2 so similar because, although I love the way they sound together, we would like 4 kids and it’s going to be hard to “repeat” 4 times! In a way, I would like to get away from the double L thing, just because I don’t think we can do it 2 more times and I would rather stop now so poor kid #4 ([name_m]Lord[/name_m] willing!) won’t be the odd man out. So my goal is to get rid of the “ll” but keep the same syllables and “feel.” You guys have been helpful! [name_f]Glad[/name_f] I came out of lurkdom

[name_f]Aaliyah[/name_f], [name_u]Abiah[/name_u], [name_f]Adela[/name_f], [name_f]Alaina[/name_f]/[name_f]Elaina[/name_f]/[name_f]Elena[/name_f], [name_f]Angela[/name_f], [name_f]Anthea[/name_f], [name_f]Aria[/name_f], [name_u]Arya[/name_u], Bellona, [name_f]Deanna[/name_f], [name_f]Delia[/name_f], [name_f]Diana[/name_f], [name_f]Gloria[/name_f], [name_f]India[/name_f], [name_f]Julia[/name_f], [name_f]Keturah[/name_f], [name_f]Keziah[/name_f], [name_f]Lilia[/name_f], [name_f]Louisa[/name_f], [name_f]Lucia[/name_f], [name_f]Lydia[/name_f], [name_f]Narcissa[/name_f], [name_f]Sienna[/name_f], [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f], [name_f]Zipporah[/name_f]

I didn’t include all of the names I found, the rest can be found at [=feminine&type_letter=1&operator_letter=isnot&value_letter[]=c&type_syllables=1&operator_syllables=is&value_syllables[]=3&type_sound=1&operator_sound=is&value_sound[]=%28s%29%28s%29%C9%99"]Browse Names - Behind the Name](All Names - Behind the Name[).

My favorites are [name_f]Narcissa[/name_f] and [name_f]Gloria[/name_f].

[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] is quirky and adorable. I think [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] & [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] & [name_m]Callahan[/name_m] are great as siblings. I also like [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] but not crazy about [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f], and it’s more prosaic than the other two so it feels off to me in the sibset. [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f], [name_f]Marika[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f], or [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] would also work great I think.

Other suggestions
[name_f]Delilah[/name_f]
[name_f]Veronica[/name_f]
[name_f]Athena[/name_f]
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f]
[name_f]Viola[/name_f]
[name_f]Marika[/name_f]
[name_f]Lorelei[/name_f]
[name_f]Delphina[/name_f]
[name_f]Madrona[/name_f]
[name_f]Mahalia[/name_f]
[name_f]Minerva[/name_f]
[name_f]Marcela[/name_f]
[name_f]Marlena[/name_f]

I absolutely love Magnolia. They are one of my very favourite flowers, along with camellia’s and gardenia’s, both which are on my short list for names (nn Cami and Deanie). Ramona is lovely too, but Magnolia really shines, in my opinion, and Magnolia Mae is truly something special. Are four syllable suggestions alright, considering that Magnolia is four syllables? I’ve included some, separate, but if not, just ignore those.

Suggestions:
Augusta, Henriette, Alberta, Roberta, Ursula, Rosetta, Odetta, Amabel, Josepha, Pandora, Minerva, Hestia, Peridot, Enrica, Vespera, Paloma, Morwenna, Galilee, Marcela / Marcella, Magdalene, Madrigal, Magdala, Maxina, Ferelith, Bettine, Saskia, Delphina / Delfina, Allegra, Marigold, Azalea, Acacia, Lavender, Lileas.

4 Syllables (if they are okay, if not, just ignore):
Bedelia, Galilea, Esmeralda, Magdalena, Bettina, Valencia, Gardenia, Cordelia.

I love [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]! Not a fan of [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] at all. Good luck and congrats!

I like both [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] & [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] in your set!

A few others that came to mind –

[name_f]Augusta[/name_f]
[name_f]Susannah[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f]
[name_f]Fiona[/name_f]

[name_m]Harrison[/name_m], [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] and [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] are wonderful names.

But just for fun, here’s another idea:

caLLahan {and} suLLivan

taLLulah {and} arabeLLa

{10-letter names with double l’s}

I don’t have any new suggestions for you but thought I would just say that I love [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] with your childrens names! I also love the nn [name_f]Nola[/name_f]

I know it doesn’t fit the criteria, but [name_f]Romilly[/name_f].
