Oh hang on, that didn’t work :woman_facepalming: have edited. Don’t include the full stop/period in the code.

Ohh that makes a little more sense :joy::joy: thank you so much, no worries!!

@katinka soooo, I can’t figure put how to pm you, but this is my (MG1257) new account. Again, there is absolutely no rush to merge them!

Is there a way to see how long until/ what we need to do in order to reach the next trust level?

“What are some good names that fit this specific criteria I just mentioned?”

Is this Name Advice or [name_m]General[/name_m] Name Discussion? It’s not general but not naming a human or something else either (“Get advice and suggestions from our knowledgeable community on any naming dilemma, from baby names to name changes for children or adults.”)

What about surnames?

I can check that for you and PM you if you like? I don’t think there’s a way to check for yourself other than to look at your own stats and compare to the thresholds here:

The only difference is posts read, which for TL3 is capped at 15k here (as opposed to the 20k stated in the linked article).

I think it depends on the aim.

If it’s “I love Claire but my cousin just used it. Help me come up with alternatives to add to my list that still feel simple, classic and feminine” then that’s more Name Advice.

If it’s a more “aesthetic” post along the lines of the classic

Then it’s more Name Discussion. I think there’s always going to be a little bit of a grey area between these two categories and we’re not going to be super-militant about policing those kinds of cases.

As a general rule: anything more specific, more realistic (whether for now or the future or just for building a concrete list of favourites) would be Name Advice, whereas anything more abstract or aesthetic (collecting names for themed lists, general vibes, etc.) would be Name Discussion.

I’ll add that to the About blurb, good idea!

Trying this again @katinka ! Last time it switched to my other account for some reason. Maybe because y9u already started the merging process? Idk

Thanks! I will try again later.

Hey, um, quick thing about the new category colors. My eyesight isn’t the best, and the CAF color combo looks the exact same as the name game color, unless I have the screen about 2 inches from my face, so I was wondering if it’s possible to have a more contrasting color for the category, while the colors are still new? Just to help better differentiate the categories. I know they’re close topic-wise, but they’re still different, and I’m straining my eyes a lot trying to tell which is which

Is it any better now?

Yes, much! Thank you!

[name_m]Can[/name_m] someone please explain this to me? [name_m]Just[/name_m] a little confused. :no_mouth:

It’s one of the default options mods can choose from when suspending someone. It just means that a user has taken up a lot of moderation time historically, for example they might have been warned or suspended several times under successive accounts without changing approach.
