The girls names that I find most beautiful (and the best):

Sarai-naturally  I love that itā€™s pretty and distinctive, with that sharp eye sound and princessy meaning that makes it feel balanced.

[name_f]Mabli[/name_f] - cute, pretty and sparky! I love the bubbly sound, loveable meaning and distinct look

[name_f]Una[/name_f] - mystical, intriguing and punchy. It packs a lot into three letters.

[name_f]Amelie[/name_f] -stylish, sleek and sweet with a bubbly, beautiful vibe!

[name_u]Florence[/name_u] -elegant yet grounded, floral but not frilly and just so beautiful -it reminds me of [name_u]Florence[/name_u] of [name_u]Florence[/name_u] and the Machine, and her style and enegry is stunning :frowning:

[name_f]Embla[/name_f] -such a warm, magical name. Packs a punch but is also gentle and beautiful

[name_f]Opal[/name_f] -such a beautiful stone - all those glimmering shades -and a gorgeous sound

[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] -popular, I know, but like [name_u]Florence[/name_u], it has this understated elegance that i find beautiful! Also, it reminds me of [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Brontƫ[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_m]Ritchie[/name_m]

[name_u]Hero[/name_u] -such a beautiful and powerful name

A few that nearly made the cut: [name_u]Sloane[/name_u], [name_u]Indigo[/name_u], [name_u]Ocean[/name_u], [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Cassia[/name_f]

Iā€™ll leave it there for now

Clover-love so many names that remind me of nature, specifically greenā€¦Willow, fern, Briar, meadow, Ivy. Also love any Nature/flower names because they are usually classic and have a pretty sound. I think names provide a ā€˜first impressionā€™ and think most nature names make a lovely one:) Dahlia, Violet, pearl, Autumn/Winter, there are very few that I donā€™t like

Isa- pronounced ee-suh. I tend to love short sweet, snappy names and this one is so pretty.

Estelle: pretty, classic and a lovely meaning so this is Perfection to me. Clara, Lucy (and all Lu- variations) fit this feel as well. Adding Alice to this as well!

Also love whimsical names especially in the middle name spot. My perfect name is a pretty classic first name with a fun and whimsical middle name.

I tend for longer names with plenty of nicknames! Here are just a few off my list, good luck! :teddy_bear:

[name_f]Athena[/name_f]: (Greek, from [name_u]Athens[/name_u]) [name_f]My[/name_f] favourite name ever! Itā€™s sweet, elegant and modern with enough historical usage.

[name_f]Maeve[/name_f]: (Irish, she who intoxicates) Iā€™ll admit it: NB introduced me to it. I tried very hard not to fall in love with it, but alas, I did! And Iā€™m so glad.

[name_f]Rose[/name_f]: (English, a flower) [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is the most classic name out-there. You can never go wrong with a [name_f]Rose[/name_f].

[name_f]Astraea[/name_f]: (Greek, star-maiden) Itā€™s so beautiful + I love the idea of two little girls named after the goddess of war and goddess of justice respectively.

[name_u]Cleo[/name_u]: (Greek, glory) I think of it as the perfect sister to [name_f]Athena[/name_f], and this spelling seems more complete than the [name_f]Clio[/name_f] spelling (although it would connect the name to the Muses).

[name_f]Wednesday[/name_f]: (English, Wodenā€™s day) Iā€™m not sure of its compatibility with [name_f]Athena[/name_f] and my LN, plus of how it would be thought of by the people around me. Nonetheless, itā€™s beautiful name.

[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]: (German, noble) The best of the [name_m]Ad[/name_m]- names! Reminds me of [name_f]Honey[/name_f] the Pooh as well, so that is a sweet association.

[name_f]Clover[/name_f]: (English, meadow flower) Itā€™s so adorable, along with the lines of [name_f]Dot[/name_f] and [name_u]Merry[/name_u]. [name_m]Just[/name_m] brings happiness.

[name_f]Marigold[/name_f]: (English, golden flower) Iā€™m not a big fan of [name_f]Goldie[/name_f], but [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] is so cute, especially since it is an honour name.

[name_f]Emerald[/name_f]: (English, precious gemstone, green gemstone) [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] is the name with the most honours on this list. If I didnā€™t like other names better than this, I would 100% name my daughter [name_f]Emerald[/name_f]. Iā€™m also considering [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] [name_f]Athena[/name_f] / [name_f]Athena[/name_f] [name_f]Emerald[/name_f].

[name_f]Calista[/name_f]: (Greek, most beautiful) [name_f]Calista[/name_f] is such a delight to say, I could go on and on. Itā€™s so melodic and lives up to its meaning.

[name_f]Persephone[/name_f]: (Greek, bringer of death) I know, I know. It does not have the most beautiful meaning, not even moderately. I do think that it is cool, though I also understand that someone else may not like the meaning. I love [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] and its whole vibe.

[name_u]Nyx[/name_u]: (Greek, night) Like [name_f]Persephone[/name_f], [name_u]Nyx[/name_u] has something alluring to it. I donā€™t mind Nyxā€™s meaning, but it has certain associations that I would steer clear of. As the personification of night, and the only figure [name_m]Zeus[/name_m] ever feared, [name_u]Nyx[/name_u] is the embodiment of magic and strength. If I was only a bit braverā€¦

[name_f]Victoria[/name_f]: (Latin, victory) [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] was, alongside [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] (which would go well here, but this list would keep getting longer), one of my first loves. Theyā€™re so classic and traditional, yet feel modern.

[name_f]Viatrix[/name_f]: (Latin, voyager) [name_f]My[/name_f] favourite GP. I like it more than [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f].

Honourable Mentions: [name_f]Irene[/name_f], [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] / [name_f]Audra[/name_f], [name_f]Morrigan[/name_f], [name_f]Maud[/name_f] (e), [name_f]Daisy[/name_f], [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f], [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], [name_f]Isolde[/name_f] and [name_u]Artemis[/name_u].

The ultimate favorite of mine is [name_f]Susanna[/name_f]! It is elegant, classy, international and, besides, has many nickname options! Before it, my long-time frontrunner was [name_f]Anna[/name_f]. A popular yet classic choice thatā€™s almost impossible to go wrong with.

What else do I like:

[name_f]Dorothea[/name_f]
[name_f]Ilaria[/name_f]
[name_f]Opal[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]

To me, the best names are the names that arenā€™t too terribly fussy, easy to spell and pronounce, etc.

As far as the most beautiful sounding names, I think Iā€™m more drawn to names with very soft, easy sounds like Mā€™s, Nā€™s, Lā€™s, Vā€™s and Zā€™s.

This isnā€™t my actual list of girl names, but they sure are beautiful to me:

[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]
[name_u]Everly[/name_u]
[name_u]Vivian[/name_u]
[name_f]Lillian[/name_f]
Marion/Marian
[name_u]Marie[/name_u]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliana[/name_f]
[name_f]Evelina[/name_f]
[name_u]Willow[/name_u]
[name_u]Harlow[/name_u]
[name_u]Marlowe[/name_u]
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] (and all the variations thereof)
[name_f]Brielle[/name_f]
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f]
Lorelei/Lorelai
[name_f]Adrienne[/name_f]
[name_f]Adele[/name_f]
[name_f]Giselle[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Zara[/name_f]
[name_f]Leona[/name_f]
And for some reason, Iā€™m so enchanted with the name [name_f]Saoirse[/name_f]

Another thing that makes a name the best and beautiful is if it has special meaning or significance to the namer :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Iā€™d better stop there. This was a good question!

This is, believe it or not, extremely narrowed down to my current faves from my ridiculously long list. [name_f]My[/name_f] shortlist rotates fairly regularly.

FIRSTS -

[name_f]Alice[/name_f] - simple and literary. Sweet on a little
one and elegant on a lady. [name_u]An[/name_u] easy to wear name.

[name_f]Beulah[/name_f] - just love the sound and look of this. Distinctive and underused, while fitting with some current naming trends.

[name_f]Cecily[/name_f] - twee and vintage but v. wearable.

[name_f]Clara[/name_f] - classic, feminine and streamlined.

[name_u]Cleo[/name_u] - Simple & strong.

[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] - ornate but with strong sounds. Elegant.

[name_f]Delilah[/name_f] - pretty and quirky.

[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] - classic yet fresh and spunky.

Esme(relda) - love this. [name_u]Esme[/name_u] is a modern classic imo.

[name_f]Eve[/name_f] - [name_f]My[/name_f] favourite. The LBD of names.

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] - unusual sounds for such a short word / name. Simple, beautiful meaning.

[name_f]Imogen[/name_f] - classic, strong, feminine, unfrilly.

[name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] - classic, movie-star glamour, strong, Nordic

[name_f]Iona[/name_f] - makes me think of a wild heroine on a windswept Scottish island moor with heather and malt on the air. [name_f]Beautiful[/name_f]. (Also like [name_f]Ione[/name_f] but has very different feel).

[name_f]Mabli[/name_f] - Unusual (outside of Wales), pretty and distinctive yet down to earth.

[name_f]Magali[/name_f] - sparkly sounds, with the adorable nn [name_f]Maggie[/name_f].

[name_f]Nell[/name_f] - love itā€™s monosyllabic simplicity. Chic with vintage appeal.

[name_f]Nephele[/name_f] - [name_u]An[/name_u] usual collection of sounds which I love. Distinctive yet rolls off the tongue.

[name_f]Oona[/name_f] - Fun ā€˜Ooā€™ start, Gaelic, brings to mind wind tousled red hair

[name_f]Orlagh[/name_f] - [name_f]Beautiful[/name_f] meaning, shares a similar Gaelic wild beauty to [name_f]Oona[/name_f] and [name_f]Iona[/name_f]

[name_f]Orpah[/name_f] - Another lesser used biblical name. [name_u]Love[/name_u] the sounds, as well as the meaning ā€˜fawnā€™.

[name_f]Rowena[/name_f] - [name_f]Adore[/name_f] the lit and legend vibes. Feminine and strong.

[name_f]Tilda[/name_f] - [name_u]Love[/name_u] this sleeker alternative to [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]. And love [name_f]Tilda[/name_f] Swinton as a namesake.

[name_f]Trudie[/name_f] - Sweet and strong. Unusual sound combo, suits all ages. [name_f]Imagine[/name_f] this on a quirky artist.

MIDDLES -

Arianthe / [name_f]Ariadne[/name_f] / [name_f]Arrietty[/name_f] - lumped these in together for shared sounds but Iā€™d struggle to settle on one. [name_m]Just[/name_m] pretty. The first two Greek names have a very different feel to the latter with its whimsical literary vibe.

[name_f]Aveline[/name_f] - I find this simultaneously elegant and quirky. Fits the -ine trend, while remaining a distinct choice

[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] - love this as a first but canā€™t use. Almost heartbreakingly beautiful, imo.

[name_f]Blossom[/name_f] - fun and quirky middle, lesser used floral

[name_f]Diana[/name_f] - elegant, elevated and refined

[name_u]Honor[/name_u] - adore the meaning

[name_u]Indiana[/name_u] - have always loved this

[name_f]Iris[/name_f] - popularity prevents use as a first. Simple and striking.

[name_f]Isolde[/name_f] - adore for its strength but have been told in no uncertain terms absolutely not for a first.

[name_f]Magdalena[/name_f] - [name_m]Just[/name_m] beautiful

[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] - again, a quirky, lesser used floral. One of my favourite flowers

[name_f]Marietta[/name_f] - just love itā€™s quirky vintageness

[name_f]Maude[/name_f] - simple and strong

[name_f]Muriel[/name_f] - adore these sounds and the sea meaning

[name_f]Odelia[/name_f] - [name_u]Love[/name_u] this as a lesser used alternative to similar popular choices eg [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]

[name_f]Ottoline[/name_f] - [name_u]Love[/name_u] the quirk

[name_f]Pearl[/name_f] - beautiful imagery, simple and elegant

[name_f]Primrose[/name_f] - another quirky floral

[name_f]Saoirse[/name_f] - love its wild beauty, wonderful meaning

[name_f]Sunday[/name_f] - Sweet and quirky. [name_u]Spiritual[/name_u] rest day

[name_f]Sybilla[/name_f] - I canā€™t really explain why I love this, but I do.

[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] / [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] - love the sylvan meaning and the sounds

[name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] - the right side of clunk

[name_f]Winona[/name_f] - sweet, lovely namesake in [name_f]Winona[/name_f] [name_u]Ryder[/name_u]

[name_u]Wren[/name_u] - I like the simplicity and nature reference
