But why should Celine be less of a valid spelling than CĆ©line in this instance? To me, Celine is just the English (and I believe German) spelling of the name. The Portuguese, Spanish, Italian and Polish version is Celina, but I doubt anyone would think that a less valid form because it has an āaā instead of an E. If you want to go so far back, the original Roman would be something like Caelina or CaelÄ«na. I understand believing in ācorrectā or āpuristā spellings in some instances, like where names are specific to one culture - take the name DĆ”ithĆ for example, which is uniquely Irish. Spelling it Dahee or something like that would be an āAnglicisedā and less āaccurateā spelling. But in the case of Romance languages there are often many variants of the same name depending on which country you are in, and I think thatās fine!
I actually know a preschool-aged Vojtech āVojtaā in the US! I think it does confuse people at first but itās an easy correction (though I might be biased because I adore his name, lol)
Also I love the idea of [name_f]Nadia[/name_f] [name_f]Paloma[/name_f]

I prefer [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] to [name_f]Pippa[/name_f] but [name_f]Pippa[/name_f] [name_f]Cecile[/name_f] flows better
Please help me to settle a debate!
