I’ve always really liked Johannes & Jens and recently they’ve been on my mind more. Jens is traditionally a nickname for Johannes, but has been getting some footing on its own.

I call my white noise machine Elo. I love the name anyway, but sometimes i feel like i’m accidentally greeting it in a bad British accent.

I don’t know if you’re looking for suggestions, but we have a family friend [name_f]Elida[/name_f] (eh-lie-duh). I’ve always love love loved her name and I thought you might too

Nozomi is my favorite among these! I really like Kanade, [name_f]Yuna[/name_f], [name_f]Ai[/name_f], and [name_f]Tsuki[/name_f] a lot too.

Johannah nn Jens? :eyes:

it’s not stretchy but i don’t like it because both names are established and it doesn’t feel like a nickname. also, i just don’t fancy either name.

i think i have already asked this before but do we think bina can work as a nickname for virginia (for family or otherwise)?
virginia → vinia → binia → bina

  • yes, but anything works as a nickname
  • yes, and it almost makes sense
  • yes
  • no, it definitely doesn’t work
  • no, for public life; maybe for the family

  • idgie
  • nin
  • reggie

[name_f]Bina[/name_f] sounds like a nickname that could work for anything! like a nickname that doesn’t necessarily need to be related to the name. So I think it works for that reason!

I think anything can work as fam nickname, but I wouldn’t expect [name_f]Bina[/name_f] to make sense as a nn to literally anyone else other than fam
