There was a boy in my communications class last year who had a Croatian last name: Meljanac. I think it’s said [name_u]Mel[/name_u]-yahn-ak but he said it the best
Playfair
[name_u]Shea[/name_u]
Mosca
Banda
Ginzo (pronounced HEEN-so)
Mont0ur
Duclaud
I really like Mosca, for some reason. I like last names that end in a.
And there are a bunch of extremely Spanish names on one side of my family, and extremely Slavic names on the other. They’re all really unique (like nobody else on Facebook or anything has them who aren’t closely related to me), so I won’t say them. But they are crazy, I promise!
Loveall, Risk, [name_m]Orlando[/name_m], Redelfs, Blaha, Tyynismaa, Deyes, Ceci, Korea, Qui (pronounced like the letter), Faircloth, [name_m]Lay[/name_m], Pondrom, [name_m]Heath[/name_m], Paramenter
Moonchild, Toothaker, Darkhorse… I’m sure I know more but those are the first to come to mind.
@sparkleninja: definitely a rare last name!
@chicmerlin: oh I love crazy ;D Playfair sounds adorable. Did you spell Mont0ur wrongly or is there a zero I see?
@dolliegirl: Korea as a last name? I never knew! I like Deyes
@vblanch: Pretty cool last names aren’t they!
Les0nik, J0nj0ck and Aresn@ult are the ones that stand out the most to me. I find J0nj0ck particularly fun to say.
Lovejoy, Tongue, Levicy, D’Lor
Musciacchia, Fantozzi, Romonti and Cheng are all foreign names to me but are on my friends list.
English surnames that I really like consist of [name_f]Gracen[/name_f], Spreadbury, McBride and Beattie. I like my own surname, Raffle. Although my favourite of all time is simply White. White was my Grandmas maiden name and of course the Disney princess [name_f]Snow[/name_f] White.
I actually came across the last name Outhouse twice. Once many years ago and again a few weeks ago. [name_m]Both[/name_m] were woman (not the same first names). Can you image using that name in junior high (or anytime, really)?
Pendragon is my favourite last name ever! It’s stunning, with an air of valiance and nobility. I also like Wilding, Harcourt and [name_u]Rowan[/name_u], all of whom I’ve met in real life.
I like surnames Lovegrove, Kurchel, Lovelock, Bellemore (of the ones ppl here have shared).
Let’s in my life surnames I like are: Caravaggio, Carvalho, [name_m]Bonifacio[/name_m], Darling, [name_u]Orion[/name_u], siv-vih-[name_m]TAN[/name_m]-ich (Cvitanich), Ozwell, Wulfram, [name_m]Harte[/name_m], Marchisio (mar-KEE-zee-o)
[name_f]My[/name_f] surname is an uncommon one (the few of us who have it are all related). As far as unusual last names, the ob/gyn who delivered me was Dr. Pointdexter. One of the most beautiful surnames I’ve encountered is Chinakwe (pronounced cha-NOC-quay). While it may not be uncommon, I’m fascinated by the name Lovelace because it looks so dainty (love-lace) but sounds so depressing (it’s usually pronounced like “loveless”).
By the way, shannonlim, I love your avatar! It makes me want to squeeze my iPad, it’s so cute!
Pendragon, Wilding, Bellemore, [name_m]Harte[/name_m] and Lovelace are such great last names! [name_u]Unique[/name_u] and beautiful Lovelace doesn’t sound like loveless to me
Awh mayday, I’m glad you liked it. I love cats and animated avatars… love it too! It’s adorable. I’ve got loads saved in more com

Teagarden…
I found a family called Flowerdew deep in my ancestry.
There’s a local family with the surname Kinnucan (KIN-new-kun). The father owns a chain of outdoor clothing stores in the South. I went to school with two of his children, and according to them every Kinnucan in the US is related. They claim to be Dutch.
I love when people have last names that are first names with long histories. I know people with the last names:
[name_m]Matthew[/name_m]
[name_m]Alexander[/name_m]
[name_m]Frederick[/name_m]
[name_m]John[/name_m]
[name_m]Gavin[/name_m]
[name_m]Mitchell[/name_m]
I also know a lot of people with really interesting last names my favorite is a army man near my town who a has a road named after him who’s last name is Knickerbocker.
