Violet Collett .. Too rhyme-y?

Violet Collett?

is it too choppy? flow off??
thinking maybe Violet Genevieve Collett
sister is Natalie Louise

[name_f]Violet[/name_f] is such a beautiful name! :purple_heart:

I don’t mind the flow of [name_f]Violet[/name_f] Colett, personally. I think adding [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] is also pretty, but not necessary unless you really wish to include it! Both ways are pretty!

[name_m]Ah[/name_m], I see. I still think it works! [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] is so lovely. And I think it’s fine with your last name!

I think it’s fine. Lot’s of people have first and last names with repeated endings (random examples: [name_u]Camden[/name_u] [name_m]Olson[/name_m], [name_u]Tyler[/name_u] [name_u]Miller[/name_u], [name_u]Atlas[/name_u] [name_u]Davis[/name_u], [name_u]Madison[/name_u] [name_m]Johnson[/name_m], [name_f]Ava[/name_f] [name_u]Garcia[/name_u], etc…)

[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] is absolutely gorgeous!

Much too choppy. [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] works well, but with your surname, I’d drop [name_f]Violet[/name_f].

[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Collett[/name_f] sounds fine in the way I pronounce them - though the ends look the same, I would say them differently.

[name_f]Viola[/name_f] [name_f]Collett[/name_f] could be a compromise if you’re worried, but I think [name_f]Violet[/name_f] is fine.

I probably wouldn’t use it myself but it’s not too bad. Violet Genevieve is a stunning pairing!

It’s fine, but [name_f]Colette[/name_f] needs an e not to be cringy in my world.

[name_f]Collett[/name_f] is our last name.

[name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Collett[/name_f] share the same ending sound so maybe choppy

Would you consider
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Colleen[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_u]Collins[/name_u]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Colletta[/name_f]

Oops!

Maybe a lot of “t” at the end, but not a dealbreaker! I think it’s lovely with [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f].

Have you thought about [name_f]Viola[/name_f] or [name_f]Violeta[/name_f]?

I would go with [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] if you love both names. Lack of flow is not as much of a problem with middle name-last name than first name - last name.

Husband isnt fond of Genevieve as a first name. Or Viola … I asked in another post about helping me and few comments said both names ending in T wasnt deal breaker. But now im not sure. Down to less than 20 days until my due date and i have no contenders and im panicking lol

I’d say so, yes. [name_m]Even[/name_m] if there’s another middle name in between it feels very choppy to me.

I think it sounds fine! It’s a bit choppy, but that shouldn’t stop you from using it – most of the time she’ll just be known by her first name. Violet Genevieve is pretty next to Natalie Louise

If its THE name then its not the end of the world but its efinitely too rhymey for me since its the whole -let sound and not just the T. [name_f]Violetta[/name_f] or flipping the order to [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] are good suggestions.

I don’t think it works, sorry! It sounds very choppy and awkward when I say it out loud. My personal rule with awkward sounds is, would it be noticeable every time they said their name out loud? And with Violet Collett, I feel like every time someone said her name out loud it would be noticeable that it sounds a bit off.

I too am fighting whether or not the first name I love goes with our last name or not.

I think [name_f]Violet[/name_f] Colett is beautiful- very [name_u]French[/name_u] sounding.
