What are the strangest names you’ve encountered in real life?

I met a guy named [name_u]Taj[/name_u] and his sister was named [name_f]Fantasia[/name_f]. I met a girl named [name_f]Jubilee[/name_f] and another girl named Bethlehem but everyone called her “Bethie.”
[name_f]My[/name_f] mom knew a girl named “[name_f]Ima[/name_f] Hog” in high school! (Eek!)

I love hearing the things that people consider out there/weird! Cool topic

The strangest one I have ever come across was [name_f]Maighdlin[/name_f] and they pronounced their name like more-d-lyn, but I’ve also heard it pronounced like mai-d-lyn.

I met a [name_f]Honey[/name_f] as a teen, and it seemed like too many people sexualized it or made it weird. Like every person would say something.

I met a [name_f]Buffy[/name_f] around the same time, early 90s. I’ve known a [name_u]Sterling[/name_u] (boy), too. I can’t remember much else.

Just remembered I went to school with girls called Fell, Pepsi, and Fanta. Pepsi and Fanta were not related either. All were from overseas, so I always wondered if their names had a special meaning in another language.

[name_f]My[/name_f] grandmother went to school with a woman named [name_f]Gaye[/name_f].

There was another girl in her class whose parents combined their names (Arthur & Donna) to make hers: Ardon.

@GreenEyes375 What really stood out for me is your great-grandmas brothers names and especially [name_u]Brooklyn[/name_u]. I have always thought of that as a modern name and mostly a girl’s names although I do know it is unisex. I think that’s so cool that it goes back that far.

not an unusual name or surprising but i went to school with a [name_u]Harmony[/name_u]

One that I came across on here for real life siblings… Ellianaffi. Not sure of spelling, but It seems they liked about 5 names and smooshed them together. Her brother has a very common name like [name_m]John[/name_m], I think.
