Eh… there isn’t anything pretty or attractive about [name_f]Esther[/name_f] to me. While E names are really popular, [name_f]Esther[/name_f] is one of my least favorites (it’s up there with [name_f]Harriett[/name_f], [name_f]Ruth[/name_f], [name_f]Gertrude[/name_f], [name_f]Doris[/name_f], etc of old-fashioned names that need to stay in their generation, [name_f]IMO[/name_f]). I prefer the many other beautiful E names such as [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], or [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] that sound feminine.
[name_m]Just[/name_m] my opinion of course. Nothing wrong with [name_f]Esther[/name_f]! If you love it, use it! It’s just not my taste or style. I prefer [name_f]Esther[/name_f] over something like [name_u]Addison[/name_u] or Kaedryn or Addilynn.
As a sixteen year old Esther, I have to say that I honestly do love my name, I am the only esther in my town that I know of and I love it, I am an advocate for the name Esther, there should be Esther’s everywhere, and I think my name is beautiful and sweet c:
I have always loved the name [name_f]Esther[/name_f]! I loved the Bible story about [name_f]Esther[/name_f], and always thought she would be a remarkable namesake. I also loved [name_f]Esther[/name_f], nn [name_f]Essie[/name_f], from one of my childhood books I grew up reading, a series called “[name_u]Seven[/name_u] [name_m]Little[/name_m] Australians”.
I really think [name_f]Esther[/name_f] is a beautiful name and is very soft, but strong at the same time. And the nickname [name_f]Essie[/name_f] is so sweet.
[name_f]Esther[/name_f] is biblical, a princess name and is a pure expression of the stars[QUOTE][/QUOTE] as if seen from an ancient hill top. She has adorable nicknames like [name_f]Essie[/name_f], [name_f]Tess[/name_f] and [name_f]Star[/name_f]. Easy to spell and often found all over the world in one variation of another. She’s spunky and sweet. She’s been the inspiration for paintings, novels and films. I think she’s lovely, I think the main thing that discourages people is the -er ending. While I do prefer [name_f]Aster[/name_f]/Astor and -[name_f]Stella[/name_f] names more. I still think she has a lot going for her.
Oh I absolutely love [name_f]Esther[/name_f]! I find it so soft and sweet, and yet strong with a great biblical namesake. The name [name_f]Essie[/name_f] is also adorable.
I don’t think it’s an old un-revivable name at all! It was most popular over 100 years ago, making it ripe for making a comeback. Additionally, it has hovered in the 200-300 range ever since then. I think this makes it an underused classic. I can see the name [name_f]Esther[/name_f] on a baby or a 30 year old.
I wish I could get over the “old lady”-ness of [name_f]Esther[/name_f] because I really love the story of [name_f]Esther[/name_f] from the Bible. What a great namesake. I hope someday that I won’t find it quite as old as I do!
Oh so happy to hear of a young [name_f]Esther[/name_f]! I have never actually met anyone named [name_f]Esther[/name_f] but I do think it has a classic and pretty sound and the name has great history.
Naming a baby is becoming such a difficult task lol.
I love [name_f]Esther[/name_f]. It has never seemed old-ladyish to me and I do like the biblical namesake. I know of a girl called [name_f]Esther[/name_f] who goes to my school and she’s about eight, and it would be so cute on a little girl as well as a grown woman. I say go for it!
I adore [name_f]Esther[/name_f]. It’s one of my new favorites after seeing it on a little girl. It’s a beautiful name with a great story and several great old movies with Esthers in them!
I like:
[name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] (typical middle name, I know, but it’s beautiful!)
[name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Arwen[/name_f]
[name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]
[name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_u]Arden[/name_u]
[name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f]
I just met a three month old named [name_f]Esther[/name_f]! I absolutely loved it! They called her [name_f]Essie[/name_f] sometimes. The name suited her.
[name_f]Esther[/name_f] is a name I’ve always known because of Church, but I never thought it was “pretty” enough, but meeting an actually [name_f]Esther[/name_f] gave it great beauty for me!
I’m not a fan even though, I love the story of [name_f]Esther[/name_f] in the Bible. I agree that I would rather see [name_f]Esther[/name_f] than [name_u]Madison[/name_u], [name_f]Kaylee[/name_f], [name_f]Kinsley[/name_f], etc.
I love the name [name_f]Esther[/name_f]! Several months ago now, we were at a local restaurant and our teenage waitress was [name_f]Esther[/name_f]. She wore the name well and made me realize how pretty it is.
I love the name [name_f]Esther[/name_f], and the nickname [name_f]Essie[/name_f]. I think a little girl called [name_f]Esther[/name_f] would get on just fine, it is a really pretty name and I love the meaning.
