What is the one name everyone else seems to LOVE, but you can't stand?

  • One name that everyone else seems to love, and you can’t understand why.

  • What is one name that you love, but no one else seems to?

There are many names i can’t see the appeal of that others love, but Imogen, Piper and Beatrice top the list off. I love the name Sawyer for a girl, and the name Cheyenne, but no one else seems to!

** I was just bored and thought it would be fun to see all the different opinions ! Thanks All !

ayelet, elizabeth, cora-anything, - don`t hate, but am soo tired of are grace, faith, rose(those filler names)

I adore sloan, and it does not seem to get a good response

[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] is one that i don’t particularly care for; i don’t hate it or anything, it just feels so plain and blah to me for some reason. I dislike [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] for the same reason. [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f] is one i often see on here that i just can’t figure out what the appeal is.

I wouldn’t judge anyone for using them, and i accept them as legitimate good names, but at the same time i don’t understand why they’re popular here at all lol

[name_f]Olivia[/name_f]… and [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] and [name_f]Olive[/name_f], but particularly [name_f]Olivia[/name_f].

I also agree with you on [name_f]Imogen[/name_f], I don’t see the appeal.

[name_f]Bella[/name_f]…[name_f]Isabella[/name_f]…enough with these names!

[name_f]Imogen[/name_f] and [name_u]Sloane[/name_u]
sorry @gblondie

[name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] & [name_u]Cheyenne[/name_u]? id think people would love [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u], its taken off for boys and to me is less harsh than [name_u]Harper[/name_u] for girls

[name_u]Cheyenne[/name_u] is ok, its kinda dated/‘been done’ already

i dont really like [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] for anyone by the singer [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] Heap, she was the first i heard with the name and it feels like a [name_f]Cher[/name_f] or [name_f]Madonna[/name_f] lol

[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] is ok, not the worst thing in the world.

[name_f]Cora[/name_f] i just dont find it appealing, like its trying to be cute but cant make it.

[name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f] is a name i wish i could like, or maybe do like for a split second and then it sinks in like a bad aftertaste.

[name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is again ok, but seems too common, always think of the American Girl doll.

[name_f]LOVE[/name_f] [name_u]SLOANE[/name_u]
, been feeling it much more for girls lately

[name_f]Grace[/name_f] is just lovely, i liked it before but after i read the 50 Shades of [name_u]Grey[/name_u] series (trust me every one thinks they know what its about but they are totally wrong) i love it - she’s [name_m]Christian[/name_m] [name_u]Grey[/name_u]'s mother, a truly lovely and perfect personification of [name_f]Grace[/name_f].

[name_f]Faith[/name_f] is ok, but its my cousins name and i want to stay away from family names.

i kinda like [name_f]Rose[/name_f] again because [name_m]Ron[/name_m] & [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] brought it back for me, just a simple classic, like how [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is coming back. probably would never use it, but id spruce it up - Rosavine

[name_f]Bella[/name_f] and [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] are overused, but no one can argue them as not classic or lovely

I HATE TACKY [name_f]GEM[/name_f] NAMES
: [name_f]Diamond[/name_f], [name_f]Sapphire[/name_f], [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] all either scream cheap or stripper. [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] & [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] are fine, like their namesakes they arent as in your face, subtle.

i also hate kry8v spellings

I absolutely [b]despise[b] the name [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]/[name_f]Sophie[/name_f], etc. I swear, I cringe every time I hear it. I’m also not very fond of [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] or [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]. They’re rather depressing sounding in my opinion. As for a name I like that no one else seems to, I have [name_u]Blair[/name_u]/[name_u]Blaire[/name_u]. It’s been a favorite of mine for years.

I really don’t like [name_f]Sophia[/name_f], [name_f]Astrid[/name_f], [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] and [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f]. Everyone else seems to love them but I just can’t.

[name_m]Don[/name_m]'t like…[name_f]Ava[/name_f]. I know so many people who have named their babies [name_f]Ava[/name_f] in the past 2 years, and I don’t get what the appeal of it is at all. It’s not a pretty name to me. [name_m]Just[/name_m] not a fan! [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t really like the other girl names at the top of the list either ([name_f]Isabella[/name_f], [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]…) because they are just way too overused. [name_u]Piper[/name_u] is another one that bothers me. Makes me think of [name_f]Barbie[/name_f]'s sister, [name_m]Skipper[/name_m]!

[name_f]Love[/name_f]…the name Kallahan for a girl. With the K spelling. Normally I am not into the “kr8tve” spellings but my name starts with a K so I like the idea of a daughter with a K name. My husband ABSOLUTELY hates it and says it reminds him of the movie [name_m]Tommy[/name_m] Boy…so we will never, ever use it! I’m sure that one would get very little love from the berries, too!!!

I don’t care for [name_f]Ava[/name_f] , [name_f]Imogen[/name_f], [name_u]Juniper[/name_u], [name_f]Faith[/name_f] or [name_f]Grace[/name_f] or any word names for that matter.

I love [name_u]Blair[/name_u] for a girl and i love [name_f]Posey[/name_f] for some reason although i probably wouldn’t use it.

[name_f]Mabel[/name_f] is one I just do not get the appeal of. [name_f]Do[/name_f] not like the look or sound of it at all.

[name_u]Harper[/name_u]/[name_u]Piper[/name_u]- Too trendy and I guess I just don’t like the er ending for girls names

[name_f]Willow[/name_f]- [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t like the sound or the vibe I get from this name.

[name_f]Agatha[/name_f] – doesn’t sound youthful at all to me and I hate how it looks in print
[name_f]Agnes[/name_f] – ditto
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] – Maybe it’s because I’m not a fan of the color, but I never understood the appeal of this name
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] – [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t like the sound
[name_f]Helen[/name_f] – Too dated to my ears. I keep picturing someone in her 50s
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] – Can’t help thinking of [name_u]Mel[/name_u]'s Diner or the housekeeper on the [name_u]Brady[/name_u] Bunch
[name_f]Wren[/name_f] – This one is actually okay. It just feels unfinished when I say it out loud, like a nickname almost

[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] - I just do not understand the appeal.

Two that I can’t stop loving from when I was younger are [name_f]Kiki[/name_f] and [name_u]Pepper[/name_u]. I know that they’re pretty juvenile, but they remind me of really happy times and they’re just so cute. [name_u]Pepper[/name_u] [name_u]Bailey[/name_u] and [name_f]Kiki[/name_f] Giallo.

Names I dislike:
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]- I don’t like the long e in the middle.
[name_f]Abigail[/name_f]- It’s so popular in the U.S. and I just don’t see the appeal at all.
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f]- [name_f]Nola[/name_f] is a cute nm, but the full name does absolutely nothing for me.

A Name I like no one else does:
[name_f]Hester[/name_f]- Apparently everyone hates this name? I love it, I don’t know why but I do.

I don’t like [name_u]Harper[/name_u], [name_u]Piper[/name_u], [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] and other tomboyish names for girls. Also, I hate [name_f]Imogen[/name_f], [name_f]Willow[/name_f], [name_f]Acacia[/name_f], [name_f]Gretchen[/name_f], [name_u]Addison[/name_u] (but I like [name_u]Allison[/name_u]), [name_f]Dora[/name_f], [name_f]Trinity[/name_f], [name_f]Alisha[/name_f] and [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f].
No offense for anyone who likes those names, it’s just my opinion!

I think a lot of people dislike the Saywer/[name_u]Harper[/name_u]/[name_u]Sloane[/name_u] type surnames-on-girls, so I’m not going to bother listing those. I can’t stand [name_f]Iris[/name_f], [name_f]Hattie[/name_f]/[name_f]Harriet[/name_f], [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], [name_f]Poppy[/name_f], or [name_f]Wendy[/name_f]. Ugh.

And I’m totally in love with [name_f]Pandora[/name_f], which everyone seems to hate for the stupidest reasons.

I have a hard time seeing the appeal in [name_f]Ava[/name_f], [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]/ [name_f]Isabella[/name_f], [name_f]Abigail[/name_f], [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], [name_f]Sophia[/name_f], [name_f]Claire[/name_f], and [name_f]Emma[/name_f].

[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] and [name_f]Persephone[/name_f]. I can’t get behind those AT ALL. Idk why.

This has just been my personal experience irl, not on here. But NO [name_f]ONE[/name_f] likes [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f], pronounced ah-nuh-stah-c-ya and it makes me sad

I can’t staaaand the name [name_f]Mia[/name_f], and everyone around me irl loves it! It has no substance to me and it’s way too cutesy and valley girl. I just hate it. Also [name_f]Faith[/name_f], and [name_f]Grace[/name_f], and [name_f]Hope[/name_f], and [name_f]Charity[/name_f], and [name_f]Verity[/name_f], and any of these virtue-word names that have just been done to death. They’re just sickly sweet and, again, have no substance.

I also can’t get behind [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], as so many love it on this site. I tried to like it, I really did, but I just can’t! It seeeeems like something I’d love, with all of its history and literary roots, but it just doesn’t have a pleasing sound to me. And although I love [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f], I really don’t like [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f]. The “corn” beginning throws me.

I also can’t really see the appeal in the popular names [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] (it’s the [name_u]Isa[/name_u]- beginning, because [name_f]Bella[/name_f] really is adorable, without the Twilight connection), [name_u]Madison[/name_u], [name_f]Pippa[/name_f], [name_f]Emma[/name_f], [name_f]Claire[/name_f], or any of the Est- names, like [name_f]Estella[/name_f].

Edit: Ooh I forgot Emily! Yep, I don’t understand that one at all, and it feels like it’s the most popular name in the universe. It’s so plain and uninteresting to me.
