[name_m]Just[/name_m] wondering, do you prefer [name_f]Isabel[/name_f], [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] or [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] and why?
Also, can all spellings be used to get the nickname [name_f]Belle[/name_f]?

[name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]- it’s the most intuitive imo. And I feel with a name that’s as familiar / popular as this. The least annoyance comes with using the most intuitive spelling. [name_f]My[/name_f] name starts [name_u]Kris[/name_u] and I grew up having to be ok with everyone writing it [name_u]Chris[/name_u], or introducing myself as “Kristina with a K”

Definitely [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] out of those. [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] looks wrong to me, like it’s misspelled and [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] is just a tad too frilly for me. [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] is the more common spelling where I’m at, though personally my favorite spelling is [name_f]Ysabel[/name_f]. I do think any spelling can get to [name_f]Belle[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] for sure. [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] feels incomplete and [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] is a little awkward for American [name_f]English[/name_f] (makes me want to say “Ee-sew-bell”
I think all get [name_f]Belle[/name_f] easily.
I personally prefer [name_f]Isobel[/name_f], because it’s less common where I’m from and I think it looks very classy.
isabelle seems more complete to me. all spellings can be used to get belle/bella.

[name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] feels the most complete and is the most intuitive in my opinion. I think all could easily get the nickname [name_f]Belle[/name_f] but [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] would definitely be the easiest way
im from [name_u]Scotland[/name_u], and all Isobel’s i know spell it [name_f]Isobel[/name_f]. I think it’s just the thing here but I would spell it like that if someone asked me to write it down. If i was told it wasn’t spelt [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] i would probably then guess [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]?
[name_f]Isobel[/name_f] for me. I like the shorter, more concise and distinctive look and feel.
However, [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] is the one I’d guess more intuitively as it’s the one I’ve encountered most often.
I think [name_f]Belle[/name_f] could work for all of them

I arrive first at [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] because I associate it with [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] and [name_f]Belle[/name_f] works the best I think. It could come from any spelling, though, and I do like [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] as well, feels more international and unique, similar to [name_f]Margot[/name_f] or [name_f]Imogen[/name_f].
@Alix2016 As a “Christina with a CH”, these days I have to clarify as well. I think when varied spellings become common people will ask for clarification for even the traditional spellings before assuming. Hello fellow Kristina/Christina/Cristina!

[name_f]My[/name_f] favourite is [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]. Looks the best imo. I don’t like [name_f]Isobel[/name_f], and [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] is pretty but looks incomplete.
I prefer [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] 
It’s just so pretty! [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] is sleeker and nice too, but [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] is just a bit more 
. In theory I should also love [name_f]Isobel[/name_f], but ‘iso’ means ‘huge’ in Finnish, and even though I’m not Finnish, I just can’t unhear it. 
I understand Finnish a little bit and I have a lot of Finnish friends.
But at the same time I have no problem with Isolde… I don’t understand myself sometimes But ya, [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] for me.

I will say having so often as a kid seeing my name written with a ch now in 30’s I more often then not don’t even wait for the misspelling and just say “with a k”. And do find in the other instances the CH is assumed and I have to correct it (if I do. In some situations I’ll just say mum if the misspelling isn’t super important). I do find it happily interesting that others don’t assume- just in my experience they do.

I much prefer [name_f]Isobel[/name_f]. I tend to lean towards Gaelic-y names & it’s the most unique. Which could also make it a headache to have to spell for people…but it still looks the prettiest to me! [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] is my second favorite, because it feels more sleek & less fussy than [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]. This all being, I think that if you wanted to use the nn [name_f]Belle[/name_f] on a regular basis, [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] does make the most sense.

I like [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] better if it’s a first name and [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] better if it’s a middle name.
I would say use [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] if you want the nickname [name_f]Belle[/name_f].

I love [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] she’s elegant, sweet and has ballerina feel. I love how the ‘o’ looks visually just so balanced and pretty. I also like that [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] is the Scottish variation as I have ties to [name_u]Scotland[/name_u] so this makes me smile conjuring up lovely imagery/memories for me. I love [name_f]Isobel[/name_f].
